OOC Information OOC Name: Moonrose Link to Previous Character: N/A
General Name: Moonrose Alias: Moon, Rose, or Mimi. Species: Lyxxus Gender: Female Age: 4 years Pack: Children of Hvítur Ári Rank: Guardian
Physical Height: 23 inches Weight: 35 lbs Appearance: She is slender and well-toned. Underneath her soft fur, there are very well-developed muscles. Her body is extremely exercised, very well proportioned. Her ears are rather large, able to pick up sounds that are generally harder to hear, thanks to her Lyxxus heritage. Her stomach is lean and her chest is strong. Her legs are thin and her paws are compact, but they are very sturdy and are armed with incredibly sharp claws. She has four tails sprouting from her behind, fanning out behind her when she walks. She had learned to control each one separately, for the purpose of them being toys when she babysits little pups, yet they tend to lash uncontrollably whenever she feels a great fury in her chest. This does not happen often, though. When embarrassed, she tends to tuck her nose into her chest and wraps her tails around her muzzle when she sleeps. Sometimes she kneads her claws on the ground when she doesn't realize it.
Her pelt is of a medium length and very soft in comparison to the things she's been through. The color of her fur is truly stunning at first sight. It is a crimson red, glimmering like high walls of searing hot flames in even the dimmest of light. The "rose" half of her name comes from this feature, for she was described often as red as a rose and carrying the slight scent of one. She also received this part of her name because of a prediction her mother made about her being a thorn in her enemies' sides. All four of her paws are snow white and the tips of all her tails match it, but the white reaches just past her elbow on her left foreleg. The "moon" half of her name originated from the white coloration. Crawling down her spine, starting from the center of her forehead and heading down to the tail tips, is a very dark shade of red. It almost appears as though fire was taken to it and she was burned. There is the same effect on her ears, and the dark color spikes out and downward, like smeared paint.
The next noticeable thing about her is the numerous scars that she carries. On the left side of her face, there had once been a single scratch across her eye that was practically barely there. However, she had gotten in a fight with a Yagi-Myou Hybrid named Ebony and was almost killed. The healer who had gotten to her first, Satinka, had managed to save her eye, but not any of the fur around it that had been torn off. Now that the skin has healed, there is no fur surrounding her left eye, minus a few tufts scattered across that small plain. Originally, it was not something she took pride in, thinking that every other female she saw would have a happy life and family and she would be miserable and alone for the rest of her life. However, her talk with Satinka changed that way of thinking. With every scar that is dotted across her body is a story that shows the experience she holds, and that is something she holds very dearly.
The last thing about her is her eyes. The slitted pupils are something of the norm, due to her bloodline. Her eyes are not too large nor are they too small. They take the shapes of almonds, seeming to fit very well upon her face. They are outlined with very thick, ebony eyelashes. It gives them definition. She has also taken notice that despite the injuries taken to the left side of her face, the eyelashes on her left eye grew back in fully, matching the volume to its counterpart once again. There is no fur on the left eyelid, of course, for practically all the fur was literally torn from her face when she fought the loner, Ebony. Despite the seemingly ugly mask that covers half of her face, the coloration of her irises stands out and states that she is something other than battered. They are a sapphire blue, glittering brightly in nearly every light like the stones themselves. They say the eyes are the doorway to the soul, and hers will show you the beautiful female on the inside.
Other: N/A
Mental Strengths:- Loving ;; despite her emotional scars, she still comes to love and care for the ones around her, which is usually exclusively her packmates. She holds a special place in her heart for pups, which are the ones she spend the most time with when she was with her old pack.
- Speed ;; this ties in with her agility. She is very quick on her feet and very agile, able to dodge most oncoming objects. This makes her a good hunter and a good fighter, usually able to outwit both her prey and her enemy. Endurance is also a key role in this.
- Senses ;; her vision and hearing are excellent, tying in to be a great weapon. She can see even in the darkest of blacks, make out shapes and sometimes even color and detail. Her hearing has been well-nurtured since she was a young pup. One of her favorite things to do was listen.
- Respect ;; she always respects her authoritative figures. She never questions nor disobeys her leader, for her loyalty to packmates and loved ones runs very deep. Her place in a pack nor the approval of her leader would be something she would be willing to give up.
- Self-control ;; even though becoming excessively angry will cause her to go upon acting in a blind rage, she has things to remind her that bad things happen when she is in a blind rage. She refuses to hurt anyone unless it would be necessary.
Weaknesses:- Family ;; any mention of her family (or even a family in general) causes her to feel a deep pang of sadness. This can not only affect her mood, but her concentration as well. It is very difficult for her to focus on doing something when she is emotionally impaired.
- Truthful ;; she does not like to lie, either to her packmates or strangers. This can come off as hurtful to those she truly cares about and it can also get her into trouble when an enemy is in front of her. When it comes to certain things, however, she will lie if it is important.
- Anger ;; though this rarely acts up, it is only dangerous when it reaches a certain degree. It only ever happened once when she saw red and basically went on a killing spree, and it threatens to resurface whenever something important to her is in danger.
- Water ;; this is not only her one greatest fear, it is also something she cannot get past. She can't swim to save her life and she would not dare go near any water that could risk her falling in and drowning. She only goes to water in order to drink, and even then she makes sure it is extremely shallow.
- Emotion ;; she can be distant when she feels any emotion she doesn't like. Anger and hatred are two of them, for they are things she just does not like in general. Love is another. It is unfamiliar to her and even though it's feeling is pleasant, she's afraid of it. Prodding of her past can also cause her to become distant.
Personality: She is generally a private female, preferring to keep to herself. Her pain and sorrows she holds inside, not wanting to share them with others. Her love for her packmates forces her to believe that she should not burden them with her feelings. Her duty is to her pack and nowhere else, so she should not want to pour out her soul like some pathetic little pansy trying to get attention. She believes in earning her place in the hearts of others without using a sob story to get there. Pity is something she does not want nor is it something she appreciates. She will not tolerate such things coming from someone, especially if she knows they have the ability to stand and fight for themselves. Honestly, she urges these things out of others rather than telling them to continue with their pity-fest. However, out of a slight disgust for such things, she tends to keep her thoughts to herself unless she feels that person would interfere with herself directly.
She tends to take the lead on most things, step into situations when need be. She is a born leader, at least said so by her old pack, and she acts upon the best interest of those around her. If something endangers her packmates too much, then she will take action to get them to safety first and decide upon a better plan. Her judgement does not cloud often, but when it does, she can bring herself to step down when she knows that she needs to step down. She is well aware of her limits and does not push herself when she knows she has reached them. This can be true to an extent. If she is fighting so desperately for something she wants or for something she has a desperate desire to protect, then she will push herself to the very edge and would even go as far as near death. She would throw herself in front of a killing blow for a packmate, even if she did not like them, and would sacrifice herself in an instant for those she loves.
Harshness is a rare quality in her, but it is certainly there. It it not something she can hide when she is training someone to become better at what they do. Physically, she would never harm someone she was trying to teach and help better themselves. However, if a nasty tongue-lashing is something she finds to be in order it is not something she'd hesitate in giving. Her love for her companions usually leads her to apologize and explain herself later, even though she knows, in her mind at least, that it is all in the best interest for the one she scolds. Her loyalty plays a huge role in this. She believes firmly in family and remaining one as a pack, so her loyalty to her pack will always run deep and will never be uprooted. She would never say anything against her pack even if someone tried to force it out of her. Though transitioning her loyalty from her old pack to the Children had proven to be difficult at first, she had managed to do it. Now, it is something that can't be taken from her.
History: Moonrose was born into a lesser known pack, one that was often considered weak and soft-hearted, known for avoiding fights with any dangerous living creature they crossed, and she was the only one of her litter to have survived. Her mother was beautiful, looking nothing like her. She had golden fur and indigo eyes, a rare trait that skipped many generations in their bloodline. Her mother raised her and taught her most of what she knows, her father too often away on hunting or scouting patrols. She looked a lot like him, with the red pelt and blue eyes, but no one knows where the white upon her leg originated from. They assumed it was a gift. Before she earned the rank in that pack that she did, she had made a close few friends with the parents of the pack when she watched over and played with their pups often. There was one in particular that had no parents, a young Sennyo named Parcifal.
He was very young, barely a half a year old, and had the wings and design of a Red Spotted Purple Butterfly. He took after her very quickly, looking up to her like an older sister. He loved her very, very much. He even called her Mimi because he could not pronounce her name right when he was little. She entertained him a lot and practically raised him, even though he would be bigger than her when he grew to full size. She loved this pup greatly, making sure he got enough to eat and drink. She always made sure he had a place to sleep, which soon came to be beside her in her own den and bed when the pup den was overflowed at one point. He did not leave her side after that. She taught him many things, bonding with him greatly. She was a mentor, and definitely an equivalent to family. He was one of the many that she would immediately throw her life away for.
With his development and growth speeding up, the leader was greatly impressed with everything Moonrose had done within the pack to help it grow. He promoted her multiple times, though she never lost her contact with Parcifal. Though, she did not accept these promotions at first, for she was aware that each one was bound to separate her from the young Sennyo more and more. She did not want that. She absolutely loved the little guy and did not want to spend too much time away from him. He was still young and he would live a lot longer than she would, but she was all right with this. He was family to her. She was brought up quickly in rank in her pack, reaching the second in command post, commanding those who knew how to fight and watching over the pack when the alpha was away, but it was short-lived.
A much larger pack was expanding their territory, and they sauntered across Moonrose's pack sunbathing in the center of their camp, simply enjoying the beautifully warm summer day. Bloodthirsty for more territory, they sprung an ambush upon the unsuspecting wolves and a massacre took place. Moonrose was only twenty feet away when she heard the sudden commotion and immediately rushed to the scene, where she jumped into the fight without any hesitation. The only thing on her mind was protecting her pack, her family. They were important to her and she loved them greatly, willing to shed anyone's blood and even sacrifice herself if that meant protecting them. They were everything to her and she loved nothing more than a true pack life. Her loyalty and blood ran deep within her pack, and it was not exactly something she was willing to give up so easily.
Her packmates were killed one by one as she fought the rival alpha, trying her best to save them. Though she did not know of the massive wolf's rank, she was blinded by rage as she watched her loved ones fall before her and she realized there was nothing she could have done. Her pack was not violent. Her pack was not a fighting pack, and she knew that's what caused their demise. The alpha landed numerous blows and was sure that many should have killed her, but she continued to fight. He thought he had blinded her left eye when he raked his claws across her face, but he had merely scratched the skin. He couldn't come to comprehend how such a small wolf, such a strong wolf came from such a weak pack. He was not sure how she kept moving, despite the physical pain she must have felt from his attacks. She persevered for the sake of survival.
Fueled by agony and rage at the sight of her bloody loved ones, Moonrose tore into the alpha's throat without warning, using her claws and fangs to pull the skin apart. After minutes of savagely maiming his body, the rival alpha fell limp at her feet and his muscles did not make another movement. His pack came to an immediate, screeching halt and stared in wonder at the small wolf, unable to comprehend how such a tiny thing had defeated, not to mention killed, their respected leader. He had been much, much larger than herself, despite the speed and experience she'd had with fighting, especially compared to the rest of her pack members. She was the fighter and they were not. They knew little of defending themselves and it did not seem like they would have ever learned to fight like she had. The thought of her family's defenselessness drove her harder, forcing an even greater hatred for the rival pack to arise.
Moonrose slowly descended from her rage, the red in her vision fading, and her body became weak. Her muscles were too exhausted for her to even hold her head high, especially after such a triumph. Instead, a feeling of defeat, loss, and sorrow swept over her. The tears pricked at the corners of her eyes at the thought of what had happened, and what she had done. She held back the urge to release her pained howl to the ever-shining sun and into the vast blue sky, but the enemy was still present. Still lurking in the silence were the ones that had slaughtered those she absolutely adored. The pups, the mothers, the siblings of one another, the leader. Every last one of them were bleeding into the grass, lives slowly disappearing from their eyes. The sight was horrific. It would be something you would only see in a nightmare, and many times over did she pray to herself that it was a dream and that she would awaken soon.
Moonrose knew she was outnumbered and she knew her pack was gone. She took the confusion and shock of the ambushing pack to escape in the protective cover of the nearby forest that was lining the edge of the field. Without looking back, Moonrose left behind the one thing she treasured so dearly and fled into the safety of the darkness. The darkness was the one place she knew she could flee to where she had the advantage against any enemy. She could see better than any of those monsters in the dark, a place she could hide and remain safe. The darkness seemed to be her friend, the moon and the stars there to accompany her. As she ran, she eventually stopped for the night somewhere far, far away from where she had been born and raised. It was in a lovely field, with a single flower in it. That flower was a rose. Such a sight caused her to cry herself to sleep. There was one thing she would never forget about that day.
It was the day she turned three, and the day she believed she lost Parcifal.
Moonrose traveled for many days, weeks even. After what seemed to be forever that had passed, she came upon the Lumera Valley. It resembled her former home to an extent, except for most of the open areas. She took a great liking to it and it was there that she wandered around for close to an hour, searching for something that would offer a place for her. She entered the Heimili Forest, where the scent of the pack was strongest, and immediately felt at home in the thick trees that provided a great darkness. It was there that Reynard came upon her and led her out into the open. She had a conversation with the old Keiyou, coming to ask for a place in his lands, in his pack if he would accept her. He agreed to let her in, welcoming her as a Guardian of the pack. She took pride in that, knowing that she once again had something to protect. She had something to look after again, and she did not want to lose it.
One of her first great adventures with this pack was when she caught the scent of the loner, Ebony, on their lands. It was there that she followed the scent all the way to the Hellion Mafia's territory. How she had gone that far without noticing, she did not remember. However, she tracked the female onto their lands and into a cave, where she met Brightness Darkly. He was a timid hybrid who simply wanted to leave and escape his pack, for he feared that they would kill him. Without expecting it, Ebony cornered them in a cave and decided to attack without warning. Moonrose engaged in the fight first, even though the loner was much larger than she was. She was determined to protect the scared thing behind her, and she refused to let the one who trespassed onto her home win. Before Brightness joined the fight, Ebony tore the fur from her face and broke multiple ribs. Brightness took an attack to her throat and she was down.
Moonrose took pity on Ebony and at least healed her to an extent, covering her wounds enough so that she would not bleed to death. After all, Brightness was having a panic attack for the blow he had given her neck and felt horrid. It was the least she could have done in order to calm Brightness down. After that, as a plan, the Lyxxus proposed that Brightness simply leave. There was enough blood on the cave floor, of all three of them, that he could have easily been taken for dead. Having nowhere else to go, Brightness came with her back to the Children, where she had him hide in a cave while she found a healer. She found Satinka, who is now her adopted mother and the Children's Queen, and she fetched Reynard. Nocht found Moonrose first, did what he could for her ribs, and waited for someone to return. When Satinka arrived and snarled for him to get from her side, he reacted negatively.
She tried to quell them, but it only worked to an extent. It was there that her eye was saved and that her ribs were snapped back into place by Aurora and Satinka. They saved her life and she is forever grateful. Time passed along, and with it she healed little by little. Her meeting with Kalylia and Nocht in one had caused her to realize her feelings for Nocht and she went to Satinka for help with them. Satinka comforted her and gave her advice. They even argued some, but many good things came out of it. She gained another mother, something she knows she cannot replace. Also, she gained the position of babysitter for the Queen. She loves all the pups that were born and she cannot help but be around them so much. Not to mention that her Telekinesis (which she discovered she had one night in the middle of sleep) was something fun for them to play with. For now, she is stable, despite the looming threat of Draugur and others.
Other: Parcifal is not truly dead; he escaped before he was killed.

Looks great so far! I only want to point out a few things. c:
Firstly your display name must be the same as your wolf's. You can change that by modifying your profile. Secondly, I want to see you expand on her negative traits. Is she good with authority? Does she get angry easily? What does she do when she's sad? Etc. etc. Tell me about her negative things. c: After that you're good.

Oh, yes! This is exciting! Thank you very much! However, they have already accepted me as a Guardian. I made sure I posted a joining thread when I was reading the character guide and rules when it told me to. Moonrose's proflie was still a WIP at that point. Here is a link: wonderwhywolves.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=childrenofhviturari&thread=3278&page=2#17991With that said, I'm just a little confused on what to do now. In the link, the reply to mine and someone elses post said to put up a joining thread in the Valley, but my character has to be accepted by staff first. Is that what I do next?

Oh okay, you're good to go then! Feel free to post Moonrose's joining thread (so go to the valley and make a post called "Joining" or join one that's already made) and then you're good to roleplay whereever.
