The lake's waters are usually frozen around the edge with a center that is thawed for most of the year except for the winter. It provides a skating surface during the winter when it's the safest to walk upon. Underneath the eye, silver and gold specks shimmer like glitter, almost unobtainable except for the wolves with the most desire to get them.

This is the field that the pack was founded on. It is flat and treeless with snow for most of the year. The hard iced ground sometimes has a rare tuft of grass poking through--as if in dire defiance through the frozen fate. In the summer, the field resembles a marsh because of the thawing of the first level of the permafrost. Out of all the places of the tundra, this is the best place to watch the stars.
