General
Name: Kalylia
Alias: N/a
Species: Lyxxus
Gender: Female
Age: One and a half
Pack: Loner with intentions of the Children
Rank: n/a as of yet
Physical
Height: 21inches
Weight: 29lbs
Appearance:
The first thing one would notice about Kalylia would be her eyes. They were a sharp contrasting midnight blue to the rest of her. Her large vertically slit pupils almost made her eyes look nearly completely black, especially when night fell across the land. She is small, being a lyxxus and her sheer lack of size is one of the reasons why she has perfect stalking and silent hunting. Her muscles are well toned beneath her coat, and can easily be seen while she is in movement, wherever it may be and during whatever it is she may be doing.
She has yet to receive her second tail, being only one and a half however, her pelt is not short and bristly, but rather medium to long along her main body, chest and tail, tapering into short length down her underbelly and legs to paws. She takes great pride in the maintaining of her pelt and her muscular fitness.
Her voice seems to always be an octave lower than normal, and seems to be close to a whisper. During times of serious duress it raises and comes to near crackling, it is one of the reasons she avoids getting so worked up to the point of screaming. Usually more guttural noises and growls get her message across just as much as screaming, shrieking and squealing.
Her pelt is an amazing blend of two to three natural, bright colors found in the sky while the sun is setting. Across her back and beck she is a bright amber with a few small flecks of yellow scattered throughout. Along the borders of her ears, the majority of her tail, and down her paws the color changes to a dark amber and finally a dark rust color. It would look as though the sun was rising along her pelt, the beautiful lighter shades on top, and the rusty darker shades along the bottom of her body.
Other: (Hope to get her a power as soon as soon as she is accepted.)
Mental
Strengths:
Kalylia is a perfectionist, everything she does she pushes herself to be the best at it, from personal appearance to hunting, to swimming, even more menial tasks. She is made and built for speed and can even move from small platforms such as branches at a rapid rate. She is also very confident in her abilities when it comes to agility, speed, and her natural grace. She is very quick-witted and will just as confidently and quickly pursue verbal sparring as any other activity.
Weaknesses:
Because she has a perfectionist complex, she is not good with instructing or teaching others, she simply has no patience to watch someone do something wrong, it causes something close to physical pain. She is not physically strong, and it impacts the way she hunts and interacts with others. Her natural competitive nature can cause her to incidentally push other wolves into provocation. Sometimes she tends to speak before thinking, causing her to lose sight of the objective ahead.
Personality:
Kalylia has a slightly outgoing personality. She is not just one to lay back and ‘see what will come’. She wants to be the mover and the shaker. She always wants to have a hand in what is going on, and she has such a competitive personality that she believes in her heart that she can do anything, and do it to perfection even if she has to work her paws to the bone to get to that point.
Most of the time she only stays quiet when she thinks in the end it will benefit and help her to accomplish something. She is energetic, but not to the point of overt annoyance. She cannot fathom the idea that someone may be better at something than her, and more than not when she does win she will happily let the other person know they lost. It is not about gloating but letting them know they need improvement.
Her need to be perfect stems from the overwhelming need to be accepted and somewhere deep down to be loved. She has a very high ethic when it comes to contributing but she can be hesitant when she does not see the benefit to herself. This makes her a difficult addition to any pack, and her choices are often centered around herself and few others. Example being, joining a pack often involves group hunting to contribute to the pack. Kalylia does not think of things that way. She would see hunting as it continues her survival by providing food as well as others, but its hard to get excited by that fact.
She is by no means a push over, but nor is she a bully, she does not go around purposely picking fights with other wolves, because she is a being of practicality even if she does want to be perfect. Picking a fight with a Yagi, rogue or not would kill her in the end, no matter how fast she is. She is more likely to pick something she knows she will excel at and either show off or challenge with that particular activity. She would never let on, but she actually has a big heart beyond that all consuming brain of hers, she just needs the right circumstance to show it.
History:
Kalylia was born into a rather large litter of lyxxus, and after the first twenty four hours of life, she was the only one who nursed at her mother’s nipples. It was that fighting spirit from the beginning that was what had sparked within her heart and personality. Even though her mother was aware of the usual high rate for still born lyxxus puppies but this seemed to break her heart that only one survived. From the time she was able to see and hear her parents were always at odds with one another. Her father was always pushing her, walk earlier, run faster, be brighter. While her mother was completely attached and always concerned for what was going to happen to her, that she might get hurt.
Even as she began to toddle around and wobble her father was behind her, pushing at her to be strong, very rarely were there games that they played that did not train her in some way. Her mother stood by anxiously watching and was always the one who curled around the independent pup while she slept. She always stretched out and lay on her mother, enjoying the softness to her father’s hardness. It was often during the morning when she had to deal with her stern father’s looks that she only clung to her mother at night time when her father went off to patrol.
Some of her earliest memories were of snuggling into her mother’s pelt, her muscles aching from the running, and fighting and sparring she did with her father. Never once did he say anything positive, and her heart broke over and over as she tried to perfect herself so that he could love her. She could not ponder any other life than the one she had with her parents, but they lived solitary lives, on the outskirts of a forest, and not too far from a valley, where a river ran through. It was the flooding of that river that took the only joy and love from her life.
It was an early day when the rain began to pour, and Kalylia had been on the muddy shore practicing sparring moves, and hunting stalking when he had actually smiled down on her. It was not the verbal adoration she wanted but that one look made her heart sing. All the aches, all the bruises were worth it for that one gaze from him to her and she wanted to rush home to her mother to tell her. She did not have to however because her mother appeared on the shore and stood with them, she ran to her mother and began to nuzzle into her chest, trying to tell her without words what had happened. That was when the roaring began…
Water poured in to the river, causing one wave after another to crash down onto the banks of the river. Her parents took off at a run, urging her on as they tried to outrun the swelling and crashing, turning waves of water. Her mother dropped back behind her and began to push her up the slopes, hills, and finally rocks to keep her from the water. It was as they were climbing that her mother lost her footing and the sound of a yelp rang out over the water and cliffs of loose rocks. Kalylia turned around and saw in horror as her mother fell into the jagged rocks and rolled into the water. She screamed and snarled, barking and howling. Her father had scurried down the cliffs as fast as he could but when he body hit the water his howl of mourning rang out over the water.
Kalylia sat on the cliffs and cried for what seemed like hours. The only softness, goodness, the only cushion against her father’s hardness was gone forever..She howled until her throat cracked and she could do nothing but whisper painfully. Her father pushed her on her way but it was as though he was a ghost. She didn’t realize that even though they were like night and day, he had loved her in his own way. She followed him until they found a cave to sleep in through the rain. She slept fitfully, with no mother to comfort or love her, or reassure you her dreams were filled with the last sounds of her mother.
When she awoke her father was gone, she panicked and spent the entire day searching for him. When she had reached the rocks they had crossed she found his body, broken at the bottom, as though he had thrown himself from the highest point. She cried and nuzzled his broken body, he may not have been warm and loving, but he had shown her at some point that he had approved of her. She lay there beside him, guarding him from any predators and other dangers. That night she scraped rocks over his body to cover him from the elements, and as she did so, it was as if she was covering her own heart with stone. She began traveling the next day, pushing her aching muscles to the brink of exhaustion while she searched for something she would never find again….a family.
