Citrine had no choice, she had to leave her beloved land where the warm and moist breeze caressed her feathers delicately, in an almost loving manner, to travel far north to this all too familiar land. The Clan was no more and she had no other pack to turn to that would accept the fact that she could not fight or offer much physical strength. Dejected and disheartened she had half heatedly made the journey to the Taiga to join the Enclave in hopes to serve as one of their females. She was of age to have pups, surely they would have use of her somehow? Shuddering she sincerely hoped so for she nothing left to turn to anymore.
Young still at the age of two she was without family or friends and left very much vulnerable. This pack was reputed to offer shelter to female that were not required to be strong or able to defend the pack and this was her last strand of hope no matter how bleak it might be. Looking down she dipped the tips of her feather to soar toward an outstretched branch, sharp claws grasping onto the rugged bark gracefully. Rumpled and tired she still maintained her pristine condition, beautiful colors shining brightly in the cold sun of the north as the feathers that cascaded down her back rippled in the wind. Seeing no imminent threat below her meant little, the ground was never safe and only the tree could provide proper security. However she did not seek to hide, for if she was to join she needed to be visible and with her bright pelt that would not be a hard task to accomplish. But who might greet her and what might they ask? Trembling slightly her gemstone aqua eyes glanced nervously about, small chirps of worry coming from her throat in a melodious rhythm. Even if she was accepted could she survive? The land about her was certainly rugged, though perhaps she could construct a decent nesting coupe among the thick tree branches that might offer shelter.
Nervously she began to preen her feathers, anxious glances being thrown out here and there to ensure that no one sought to attack her. "There there, you needn't worry, all will be just alright, fine in fact." Her voice rang clear, that of a singing bird as she comforted herself with soothing coos. Evidently the pack could not be as rugged as the terrain, surely there were kind hearts among the wolves? One had best hope then give up faith, a rather dastardly alternative that Citrine refused to contemplate.

His periwinkle eyes were unusually warm today, was it the weather slowly cooling down that forced every being of him to contain it's heat? Either way the wolf continued to travel, the snow crunching beneath his toes, claws unsheathed and ready to pounce any intruders that were not welcome.
"I knew I should've eaten before I left my den..." he sighed, shivering a bit out of pure hunger. He glanced over the taiga again to look for anything out of the ordinary, nope, just a bunch of trees... snow...and a rainbow perched up in a tree. Wait-what?
Nautic trotted towards where the female resided, taking in her welcoming scent and a scent of another pack. His nose wrinkled up in confusion, why would another wolf from another pack come onto the Enclave's lands? Ahote planning on making alliances with everyone? You couldn't be everyone's friends... He shook it off as he approached the base of the tree and peered up at her.
"Excuse me, M'Lady..." he smirked, his eight tails swaying gently in the fall breeze. "I couldn't help but notice you on the borders, what's a pack wolf like yourself doing so far north? I am Nautical Rausting by the way, feel free to call me what you wish..." his gaze intense as the contrast between his eyes and his fur and his fur with the surroundings. [/scrolly]

The sudden voice that spoke up at her through the wind tore the young female from her worried reverie back into that harsh reality of the moment. Giving a dainty cry she jumped, forgetting entirely where she was perched and proceeding to loose balance as she tried to sink her talons deeper into the bark to hold on for dear life. A fall to the ground would mean a broken wing without a doubt and it would leave her as nothing better then a snack. Dangling at a precarious angle only her front legs and paws kept her from plunging and with a swift flap of her bright wings she parachuted toward the ground.
Her landing was notably more graceful as her wings greatly slowed the fall and her shapely legs bent as her paws were met with cold earth. Turning her head at an angle she contemplated the male before her. Luckily he was no bigger then she and had not called out in a threatening manner. As it were his use of M'lady was a great relief to the female who sighed visibly as some tension left her body. Fluffing her plumage she spoke out, her voice carrying like delicate crystal, "Pack? Dear sir, you must be terribly mistaken, I do not belong to a pack...anymore." Her voice dropped sadly at her last words, it was true she did not belong anywhere.
"They disbanded and left, so I have come to seek shelter in the Enclave, I have no where else to go and no one else to turn to." Beating her luminescent aqua eyes she was the image of an almost youthful innocence, relatively unaware of her features. A water glaze filled her eyes, turning them into shining gems of worry as a slight shake crept into her voice. It would really be too much if this wolf would not accept her. Shivering slightly she huddled closer to the tree trunk, seeking warmth from her colorful blanket of feathers.
Citrine peered out from under her eyelashes, gazing at the wolf and taking note of his handsome fur and brilliant periwinkle eyes, the color immediately interesting the parrot myou. Surely such a striking male could not wish her harm? Approaching cautiously from under the shadows she inched her way closer in curiosity, feathers opening up to reveal an amethyst purple pelt that made a starling contrast with her eyes. Sniffing slightly she noted the pack smell on his fur, maybe this might go better then expected? Her light femine voice spoke up again, "My name is Citrine, Nautic."

He knew she was amazed by his looks the moment she approached him. And he couldn't help but feel his old personality coming back up to the surface again. A sly grin came to his features at her worry. There was no way she wasn't getting into the Enclave. Ahote and Nautic would be foolish not to allow any female that wanted to join, join.
"That is most unfortunate my dear... but I am sure we have plenty of room for anyone else who wishes to join us...may I lead you to the heart of our pack lands?" he knew it wouldn't be minded since she wanted to join and seemed harmless for the most part. A creeping thought lingered in his mind. And though he cringed at it, maybe the female would like the idea.
"So do you like puppies?" he paused waiting for her reply then quickly recovered releasing she could have taken that the wrong way. Not wanting to scare a potential member off. "Errr... I mean, uh, we have tons of pups in the pack right now and they need other wolves to watch over them here and there since our leader is quite busy..." that and he did not want to give the impression he could be taken. Cause he was quite single.[/scrolly]

Plenty of room?! So her fears were for nothing? Her heart soared at his acceptance and a tentative smile broke out on her maw, like the sun piercing clouds on the darkest of days it was small, yet radiant. Perking up noticeably she took a more composed posture, tiny frame straighter as her movements became more confident. Graciously she said, "Thank you dear Nautic! I should like nothing more than to be escorted by one of such great manners." Preened and now primed she once again transformed in the socialite individual that she really was, delighted to be accompanied by a male.
As far as she was concerned the day was now perfect and although it seemed practically impossible, becoming better by the second. At the mention of pups her ears perked forward, dainty pointed tips standing at rapt attention. And for the briefest of seconds her heartbeat sped up in excitement. She had always loved pups, waiting ever so patiently for the day she might have some of her own to care for and nurture. So now, on top of allowing her entrance Nautic was proposing that she might help care for pups, this made the lyxxus a god in the parrot myou's brain, at least for the present moment.
Almost bashfully she replied, "I most certainly do, what a wonderful opportunity." Her voice chirped happily, woes forgotten for the time being as new prospects lay on the horizon. And with a spring in her steps she followed Nautic to merge into the heart of the fierce land and her new home. What may lay ahead she knew not, but as long as she at least had one companion surely something good would come of it all.
