He was new to the pack, and rather unimpressed with its leaders. As far as the hybrid was concerned, his stay here was only temporary. He and Artellia needed somewhere to stay, so the empire was better than nothing.
After taking his sweet time, the male finally arrived on the scene. His strut was confident, and his muscular tail was held much higher than would be appropriate for a low ranked wolf. His golden eyes lingered dangerously on the snarling alpha, and his muscles tensed. The young brute was slightly intimidated by the Yagi, but refused to let it show.
He kept his pace casual as he made his way toward Artellia. Tsunami's body language made it perfectly clear that he was here simply because he wanted to be; he couldn't give a rat's ass about what the Emperor or Empress had to say.
Tsun stood beside his mate, laying a paw possessively across her back. She belonged to him, and the hybrid wanted to make that fact publicly known to all the males of the empire. "Miss me?" He whispered sweetly in her ear. He was unaware of her anger towards him, and was not in the mood to deal with her emotions. He wasn't in the mood to deal with much of anything.
"Can we make this quick? I have better things to do with my day." He shook his curved horns arrogantly while calling out to the leaders.

That is what she had experienced during her time with Cedrus and their time exploring the mountains. Neither had agreed to continue on to the prairie, but then again he knew his parents better than she did. He knew if they would like the mountains better then the tundra, and she had to admit the mountains did have a….certain amount of pros over cons. It was still cold, and even the larger lightning lupus could feel the winds cutting right through her. But there were a series of available dens within the mountains themselves, as well as two springs, and even a forest to hunt within, not to mention impenetrable defenses. The disadvantages being of course it would still be cold, rock slides, cave ins, and predators that loved the rocky cliffs of the mountains. But those dangers were not measuring up to the cold fierceness of the tundra. With the decision essentially made, they had decided not to further their journey and experience more muscle strain and possible exposure to other dangers. It also meant that their time together was cut short, and so was their playing.
They had parted ways shortly after entering Empire’s territory again, he would report straight to his parents, and she would check on her hunters essentially before going to find Arkham, and give him her opinion as well. It wouldn’t differ from Cedrus’ but she felt it was necessary to report in. It would take almost the entire day to span into territory and get to where the wolves in general denned close to each other. The hunters seemed to be quite ragged but they had managed a few large kills, large enough to supply the pack with food, and so, having returned she informed them it was time to rest. The food would not last long but while it did they could enjoy the fruits of their labor. It was at this point she began looking for Arkham, it was he who had asked her to go on this mission, he who had assigned him a comrade, and he who would need to know that a new territory had been found and new life could be breathed into this pack.
It was not but for a few hours of looking when she heard Cypress’ call. She snorted slightly and thought about ignoring it for all of a second. If the Alphess was calling, then surely the alpha would be at her side? Turning her head she began to trot, and then full out run to the Geyser. She knew she would be intolerably late, and she had no excuse for it. Other than being on the go constantly for over a week now. She had eaten lightly, and onl when Cedrus had prodded her, or she felt as though she could not go on, and her body showed the lack of food. Ribs that were once covered by a supporting layer of fat were now noticeable, and her pelt, not nearly as lustrous as it used to be was combed against her by the bristles of trees she had found in the mountains. Her amber eyes glimmered as she waited for the warmth of the Geyser to reach her as she came onto the scene. There was a group of wolves surrounding Arkham and his mate, and she even caught words of her being hurt.
She tilted her head in confusion, what had happened while she had been gone on this mission? Not that it was her job necessarily to protect the alpha pair, her job was to provide for the pack but her sense of loyalty nagged at her, nagged that there could have been something she could have done. It didn’t matter the attacker size, or taste for blood, she still felt as though she could have helped. She padded up to the right of the group, sitting a few feet off, keeping her distance from the pair, and running her eyes over the wolves that had assembled. They were different from the first group she had ever seen, but she did recognize a few faces, in particular Lacey’s. A small nod, and even a small, if weird smile graced her face, before her stoic reserve was maintained, at least until she saw Nepara. She almost slunk in close to the stretchy female, having found she really enjoyed her company, except her sense of duty remained and she nodded at her too.
She had no idea what the meeting was about, but Chry was having second thoughts about a lot of things. Her sense of loyalty and duty were becoming skewed and she found herself promising herself she would go back to the mountains herself, alone after the meeting, and before the others. She felt the desire to travel to the Prairie as well, though more for her own pleasure than scouting out for anything for the pack. She found herself more in her own head lately, she still went through the motions of what she had to do, but found hardly any joy in the activities. When the sound to her ears became dulled she spoke in a low, even voice, “I have returned, with news, and a report of other lands, which I will give whenever you need to hear it Alphas.” Her eyes in particular found Arkham but something about him made her want to take two steps back, but she supposed if Cypress had gotten hurt she could see that he might be defensive……Silence penetrated the area around her as she looked at the others, waiting patiently.
