Haha, I wouldn't do that I don't know too much about HTML really which proves that it's simple enough to make those tables work.

I'm all for the move. Not only will it help WonderWhy look more professional and all spiffy, but also because i'm a sucker for HTML coding. The dothtml that invisionfree has is simply god and the fact that we won't have to use that bbccwhatever coding is going to allow a lot more customization and expand creativity when it comes to tables and posting. c:

I'm like an old woman. I don't usually like changes of this sort. Oh, the upheaval! And all that learning how to do things with a different coding system! It sounds like I'd need to actually LEARN something!
But I'm convinced on this one <3 It sounds like it'll be cool <3 And it'll make Wonderwhy look snazzy and more beautiful than it all ready is. Like botox. But for a website. And without all the awkward puffy lips and plasticy barbie-faceness X3. Wonderwhy is my husband and wife and child, and I shall love it and follow it forever <3 I think that we should go ahead with the move <3 It'll do this old gal some good to explore new territory too X3

I am really quite excited at the prospect of a board move! I trust that it will be much less limiting than proboards, and hopefully the facelift will draw in more members who wish to stick around. C:

Going to be editing this once I get feedback from a very helpful person who's noticed some mistakes I made in my post. I'll post them all up once I finish my exam, hopefully they'll be things we can work around. Will let you guys know ASAP!
Doesn't look like I'll be changing too much but keep in mind some of the mods we're considering may not work depending on the software we use. Come this weekend I'll take a look through and see if I can find the specific mods we want to use and make sure they'd be compatible with the software.
Until then, don't get dead set on anything. Keep in mind the sites I've been mentioning/showing are ones hosted on IPB 1.3 software, not SMF, so everything shown on there may or may not be possible on the forum software we're going with. If we find that the SMF software won't give us everything we'd like, we'll probably go with IPB 1.3 but start a donation pool to save money to buy IPB 3 which is $175. This of course would be our last option, since I don't want to ask the members to pay for the board. If we can't find everything we need on SMF, we will move to IPB, and I'll probably start saving to switch us over to the newest version of their software.
The different skins per page are based on the codings of each page, so they would definitely be things you would win as a 'grand prize' in a contest, since it would require quite a bit of work from the staff team.
Also, while we're working on the new site, we'll place a bar up somewhere showing our current progress. When we open not all of the mods will be in place; I'm going to try to get the main skeletal structure done ASAP so that we can move over without waiting too long. From there we'll be adding new features.
Thank you Xexes so much for helping fix my information at the front. ^^
Also, since we have pretty much overwhelming support from you guys, the staff will be talking this week to finalize our decision, which will involve looking through all the mods to see what we can and cannot do with the new software. You guys should know what will be happening by Sunday/Monday, but in case we have not come to a decision yet, you'll have an answer by May 7th at latest.
As always, if you have any questions, just let me know. ^^

Hopefully I'll spend today looking at SMF board mods to make sure it's the right software we want, then discuss it with the staff. After that I'll talk to Debain, work out the move, and we'll go from there. I see this being a summer project, so we probably won't be moving until July, potentially, if we do choose to. ^^

Just letting you guys know the board move will be put off until the beginning of September. Summer is really busy for me so it's not fair to stretch me between building a new board and keeping this thread flourishing. ^^ So I'll reopen the idea then, so keep posted. But it's just an niggling thing in the back of your minds for now. -wiggles fingers-
