Expect for the intermittent yelp, Agni reamined silent, not wanting to aggravate the Myou anymore than he already was. However, when Archer finished and checked his backside for any after effects Agni's yelps changed in tone from pained to embarrassed.
Agni huffed bt a deal was a deal and he wasn't abot to renege on that. Still,it was tempting to just walk away and ignore he fact h had offered retribution. Very tempting in deed.
"So I help yo gather roots and all's forgiven?" Agni questioned softly.

Archer sat back and thought for a moment at the Lupus's question. Roots... That didn't sound too appealing right now, and it'd been ages since he'd had some real meat. Satisfied with his thoughts, Archer answered.
"Roots, berries, meat." He said. "All of those, then... I will leave you alone, got it?" He said, sniffing the air. He wasn't particularily good at hunting, but great at tracking. There were plently of little furry creatures running around here. Yep.

At the answer to his question, Agni swallowed thickly. He wasn't too good at hunting, gathering however he cold do. "I'll gather the berries if you don't mind. Hunting isn't my strong suite," Agni admitted cautiously. It wasn't a great thing to advertise after all.
Attempting to move suddenly proved to be a bad idea when Agni tried to get up and move towards the bushes. After that he tried to move more gingerly, an exercise he fond himself enjoying less and less the more he moved. He winced every time he lifted a paw and the journey over to the bush that was only a foot away, less even, proved painful and humiliating.
Finally though, after several agonizingly long seconds, Agni made his way over to the plant that seemed to have several ripe berries hanging off of it. He sniffed them tentatively to make sure they weren't poisonous before gently plucking them off the leaves with his teeth.

Watching the Lupus shamble difficultly to the bush of berries, Archer couldn't help the dissapointed sigh that came from his mouth. He'd really wanted meat. Usually he only got meat when he found carrion that wasn't too old to eat, and such instances were far and in between.
Looking over, he saw a Jackalope nibling some grasses. Maybe, if he tried, he could catch it! He'd be immensely happy then. Archer tried to remember what his parents had taught him, and how other wolves hunted. Dropping into a low crouch, he made an effort to creep silently forward.
Taking light steps proved not easy for this wolf. He was a procupine, and they usually shambled and blundered through the undergrowth, not caring who heard. But he was also half wolf, and he knew it. Just for a moment, he pushed his porcupine instincts to the back of his mind, and let the wolf in hime take over. He was almost there... almost to the Jackalope...

His sore, pained behind twinged every time he moved. However, Agni ignored it in favor of making his blundering mistake p to Archer and to pay him back for taking out the quills. It was the least he could do after earlier. After he had picking over two bushes for berries that were edible, Agni glanced over to check on what Archer was doing. He found himself surprised to find the Myou stalking a Jackalope, albeit clumsily. It was mildly amusing to watch, especially since he wasn't the best hunter either. It was odd to see a trait reflected in someone else.
"Need help?" Agni offered, trying to keep his tone whisper soft so as not to startle Archer's quarry. Besides, he didn't want to offend Archer anymore than he already had.

He ignored the whisper of the Lupus behind him. Lucky for the idiot, his voice hadn't startled the Jackalope. Archer tried creepy forward more, through the slightly grassy place, but was dismayed to find a whole row of sticks between himself and the Jackalope.
Crap. With my luck, I'll crack every single one before I even get close to the damn rabbit. It was then that he got his great idea. Carefully picking a stick up between his teeth, he threw it well over the Jackalope, who was too busy nibbling on grass to notice the stick flying overhead, and landed on it's other side with a short thwap!
The Jackalope, in a startled panick, bounded the other way from the sound. Unfortunatley for the creature, the other way from the stick was towards Archer. With a sharp movement, the Porcupine Myou turned around as the rabbit neared and wacked it with his tail, hard. The Jackalope, being a great deal smaller then himself, and having gotten a good load of the quills face first, squealed in surprise, then fell to the ground, dead. A few quils protruded from it's face and neck, blood welling up around them to drip thickly.
The thing kicked for a few moments, then lay still. With a satisfied grunt, Archer looked at the Lupus. "Let that be a lesson. What I did to you was a warning, nothing more and nothing less." He said, twitching his small, rounded ears at the Jackalope, before walking over and picking it up. Now he could just use some salty clay... ah, that'd be a perfect evening meal. Some roots, berries, fresh meat, and salt. Ooh, but alas, he did not see any around, so he'd have to settle without salt. Oh well.

Agni watched Archer anxiously, not entirely assured that the Myou could successfully sneak up on the jackalope. He winced in sympathy when Archer's tail smacked soundly into his prey. He knew how much it hurt to be on the receiving end, though his own smack hadn't killed him.
"Well, I can clearly see the more part. What would less look like?" a stupid question perhaps, but he had already dug his hole where Archer was concerned.
The mint colored Lupus ventured closer, though he was careful to give Archer his space. He had only known Archer for a short while but he already knew that the Myou appreciated his personal space bubble. With a last glance at Archer, Agni deigned to get back to his work on the bushes. This time however, he kept closer to Archer, eying the Jackalope he had killed. While he was tempted to ask about sharing, that was sure to get him more quills, and that was the last thing he wanted.
