Here she stood, in the middle of the meadow, and thought that this would be a nice home.
She sat on a rock, licking one elegant, white-stockinged paw. Her blue antennae waved in the air merrily, her midnight blue eyes were lowered, staring at the paw she licked. Everything seemed so bright here, so cheerful. It was the perfect place for her unborn pups to grow up.
Girafi Halthin observed the Connewa Meadow as only a Queen could. Of course, she was no Queen, but she could still view things with a regal eye. She decided that yes, this would be a good place for pups to live, and yes, she would be happy here, but, unfortunately, one wolf with a stomach full of young ones did not make a pack. She half wondered where Journey was, but eventually forgot what she had been thinking about.
Off in the distance she sighted a small ring of three trees. Standing with a soft grunt, she made her way over to rest in their shade. Her blue wings fluttered uselessly, as though hoping to lift her off the ground and carry her over to them. However, she stayed on her paws and eventually reached the wide-spread bows of the trees.
Yes, thought the Sennyo with a sigh, a good home indeed.

A figure slunk slowly into the meadow, lifting it's head and sniffing at the air. It was a nice day despite the autumn and the meadow was quite pretty. Yes, what a nice day it was. Jade eyes surveyed the meadow and he idly wondered what else could be lurking here.
Adriane let his thoughts wander back to his previous musings. The lupus had been considering accessorizing himself. Yes, maybe an earring on his left ear and a few bangles on his right foreleg? And, if he could figure out enough to do with it, a few other trinkets and bobbles. But... how to get the earring into his left ear? It's not like he could reach up there. He was suddenly jolted out of his thoughts by a movement caught in his peripheral vision.
Turning his white head with the seafoam green marks, he saw a blue wolf padding towards some trees. Adriane noted, even from the distance, her small wings; She was a Sennyo. Hm, not too different and definitely pretty. He decided. With a cheerful smile on his face, he started into a trot after her, letting his senses wander. Hm... there was metal near here! But for now, must go talk to the female. Not like he wanted her for a mate or anything, but he was slightly a metro-sexual, and wanted to talk to her.
She was laying down under the three trees by the time he got within a few yards of her. "Hellooo!" He said in his overly-high, hyperactive and definitely 'Ms. Thang' style voice. He padded over the ground under the trees. "Beautiful day, no?" He commented, sniffing the ground.

For days now Journey had wondered where the femme he loved so dearly ran off to. He missed her now and figured he'd go in search for her. The meadow was usually where she slunk off to, so he'd check there first. Not to mention her scent was so notable in this area. Slowly, he dropped his crown to sniff the soft green grasses as he moved. Which made it convenient of finding her.
It didn't take him long to find her. After all he wouldn't dare risk losing her and his unborn pups to another. It would break him. He scowled. He saw a male near her. A hint of jealousy coursed through his wacky, wicked emotions. His red eyes narrowed and he came up to her side, as they were around the shade of three trees.
He nuzzled her antennae adorned head and grinned. "Missed you, are you alright?" he asked. Then glanced at the normal looking wolf. Obviously, a Lupus. He wasn't sure what the male had in mind, but he knew he wasn't to allow it. "Who're you?" he asked with a protective tint in his deep voice. A low growl came up before he ended his question, however. He simply stared, his eyes never leaving the male in question.

Falim bounced through the meadow, his little lamb of a second soul glad to be free of his old pack. He peered about, seeking his brother, Popokatamaru, but, not able to see him at the moment, continued on.
Maybe adventures aren't that bad... mused his second soul, Purpolis. Falim grinned, seemingly to himself, saying "I told you so!" to the air in general.
Farther down in the meadow, under a small copse of trees he sighted a group of older looking wolves. A Keiyou, he recognized that one, what appeared to be a lupus, he knew that one too, and some winged one with antenna of a species he couldn't recall seeing before. He bounced down to them, chirping a cheery "Hello!" to them all.
He tilted his head to peer up at the circle of wolves. Instantly, Purpolis quailed.
Hey, uh.... are you sure you should be talking to these people? asked the lamb soul, They look... they look sorta hungry... Purpolis' problem was that he was dinner, but Falim, being a wolf, didn't see why he was so afraid. However, if Purpolis got to afraid, he wouldn't be able to keep himself from running away.
"Are... are you all... having some sort of conversation?" asked Falim slowly, "'Cause if so... I can, at least, I hope I can, find somewhere else to go..." he spoke this way most of the time, slow and thoughtful. He was still young, only a few months, and he had already chosen to leave his pack for a life of adventure. He was trying to build himself a map of the surrounding area in his head, but it was taking him awhile to find a new spot to go if the adults didn't want him there.

Popokatamaru was following his brother, Falim, for two reasons. One, he was blind, and two, it was Falim that led him on an adventure in the first place. Popo flew slowly, just above the ground, trying to follow Falim's footsteps. His flight abruptly stopped as he slammed head-on into a tree. A whoosh escaped his mouth as the wind was knocked out of him.
"Hello!" Popo heard Falim chirp. A long pause formed in Falim's speech, and he asked if they were having a conversation. They meant three or more. Three plus two equals PACK. Go on! Form a pack! You can lead them, Popokatamaru Fulton Finch! Neruki urged him, and he made his announcement.
"Hello, people of the Connewa Meadow! Today, in this clearing of trees, A pack will form. A pack based on peace and equality and all things righteous! Today, history will be altered! Today, we will rise!" Popo's clear voice rang out through the meadow as he finished his speech. "Who would like to nominate another for leader of this pack?"

Girafi looked up at the male who appeared. He wasn't much to look at, no extra appendages or anything, probably a lupus. She lay her head back down and closed her eyes, choosing to ignore him. However, he began speaking.
"Yes, it's a wonderful day," she replied airily. She wasn't willing to put her whole heart into her usual "royal" act, but she wasn't willing to allow herself to be completely "common." She heard her mate approaching, and felt his head nuzzling hers.
"I missed you too," she said, "and I'm fine, thank you." she then opened her eyes as another wolf appeared. Had she somehow ended up in the middle of some grand wolf meeting area? If she had known that...
Even before she could answer the sheep-smelling pup's question, another pup appeared.
Friends for my babies, she thought with a soft smile. She supposed it was okay for them to fraternize with the "lower class." This pup spoke much stronger than the first one, speaking of a pack and a leader. Instantly, Girafi perked up.
"I, my young dear, happen to have some experience of the ruling nature," she said, standing with a soft grunt, "I believe I would make a good Impératrice impériale, Imperial Empress, my dear, before you ask."
She smiled winningly at the gathering of wolves. It would be nice to have a pack to sit at the top of. She would undoubtedly out-live all of them, but it would be nice to have a group for a little while.
"I also believe that you,la petite grande bouche, Little Big Mouth, dear, for you speak quite well, would make a lovely petite empereur, little emperor. You sound as though you'd make a wonderful pack leader, what with such a brain in such a small head."
With this, she lay back down, having said her piece, and waited for the verdict of the others.

Adriane watched in varying degrees of surprise as a whole bunch of other wolves were suddenly here and... apparently the Sennyo's mate. Suddenly, a bat Myou flew up and declared there was to be another pack. The Sennyo promptly stated that she should be the Empress and that the pup should be a little emperor. Adriane shot up.
"I don't think I'm ruling material, but I think that the pretty Sennyo and the pretty bat Myou should be the rulers!" He said, seconding Girafi's decision. He stood up and stretched tall on his legs before continuing. "What rank should I be? I'm good at... making things and I can run and fight and... and... I make things with METAL!" He turned suddenly to Girafi. "I can make the ruling lady a circlet for her head!" When Adriane got excited about something, like REALLY excited he went from his wise hairdresser shaman-likeness to that something of ADHD.
"In fact, I sensed some metal nearby here! I'm not sure what kind it is, but I bet it's shiny and pretty!" He nodded vigorously. "I should probably think about accessorizing myself, too... I need to spice up my looks!" He looked down at his fur lovingly before jumping over to the sheep myou and sniffing at his fur. "Oh my, you have a wonderful pelt! Gorgeous!" Yes, his voice still rung in that metro-hairdresser style.

Journey watched the male that came before him, with eerie eyes. He wasn't sure whether to trust him or not. Strangely, a myou pup showed up. He snorted as he spoke. "No, stay. It's fine," he said calmly. The presence of a pup put him at ease of the Lupus. He chose to just ignore him now, having nearly no reason to associate with him.
Nearly as soon as the sheep myou appeared, so did another myou. They looked the same age. Perhaps, siblings? One was a sheep, and one a bat. How cute? Journey took in the squirt's words. Pack, eh? Journey smiled as his mate declared that she would be the empress. Now she would get the respect and love she deserved. As for the bat myou being leader.. Eh. Journey isn't one to let a pup rule over him, but he didn't want to upset his mate. "Fine," he said simply with a snort and rolled his red eyes. He sat next to his mate and looked up at her. "Rank me what you wish. But I should get respect just as my mate," he explained. He glanced around the small group. His ears fell back silently as he waited. Journey looked at the Lupus. He seemed... Desperate. He chuckled to himself. What was he ever worried about?

Falim looked up in surprise as his brother landed nearby. He listened in awe at Popo's speech. How could he be so confident? How was he able to suddenly appear and rally together this little group of wolves who had only just met? He felt a small pang of something in the pit of his stomach, and heard Purpolis mutter "Showoff." Falim shivered. What was this new feeling? He didn't like it, so he shook it away.
"I think.... I think Popo should be pack leader too..." he said quietly, "And... and I don't really need a rank... I'll just... ya know... be there..." He kept his eyes downcast, shuffling his paws awkwardly. The butterfly-female spoke of all sorts of different ranks, and used words in some language he didn't understand. He did seem to understand that she had been a queen or something, though.
Suddenly the lupus was beside him, speaking of his "gorgeous coat." Falim blushed beneath his off-white fur.
"It... it's really more of a sweater... not a coat... and... it's wool..." he murmured, embarrassed by the sudden attention. He wasn't the sort who normally liked getting a ton of attention from others, he left all that to his brother, who was the better speaker, obviously.
Falim stepped away from the lupus to stand beside the Keiyou. He looked as though he wasn't gonna be bothered by the eccentric fellow, and he decided it would be safest to stay near him.
I'm pretty sure Popo just started a pack of freaks... muttered Purpolis, I say we scram, get outta here, vamoose. There've gotta be better places to hang out... But Falim shook his head.
"I think... at the very least, I think I think... that this would be a good place... well, a pretty good place, to stay... for a bit.... I think..." he then looked up at the Keiyou, wondering what he would think of him, seemingly talking to himself. He instantly blushed, looking away towards his brother.
"Popo?" he asked, "What will we call the pack? I mean... I think... I think most packs have names..."

Popo listened in at the nominations. They all seemed to point at him, and he was shocked. "M-m-m-me? Really" He stepped back, blushing. A small giggle flew from his mouth before he composed his most adult-like face. "You there, the Empress, yo will be, well, the Empress of this pack. I will be the leader. You there, Empress' mate," He slung orders from his mouth like nobody's buisness, "will be the Advisor. One who senses metal, you will be the Royal Metalsmith. And Falim, my dear brother, will be the Imperial Philosepher. Any questions?"
Popo remembered the Advisor saying he would get as much respect as his mate. "Whoever said you wouldn't?" He said with a casual smile. Falim pointed out the fact that they needed a name. "Good point, Fal, what's in the surrounding scenery?" He looked proud and accomplished

Once again Girafi perked up. However, none to inclined to stand up again, she offered up her thoughts from her position on the ground.
"There are these three trees behind us, I believe I saw a few caves not to far from us, a good den, yes? There are hills, and possibly a small stream. Seeing as we are forming this at the trees, why not be a council of the trees?"
She looked around at the gathering, trying to imagine what sort of pack they would make.
"Le conseil de Trois Arbres?" she suggested, "the Council of Three Trees? Of course, it is your decision, la petite grande bouche. You are the empereur, I am just the impératrice who is to lazy to address you all from a standing position."
Here she looked at the lupus who had suggested he make her a circlet.
"A circlet would very much befit my status, I think," she said, "Perhaps... if you can find something silver... and I will find myself a gem, if you don't want to be bothered with it..." she batted her eyelashes, hoping he'd find it for her, even though she offered to find it herself, "After all, I'm sure all that rock climbing and digging will only hurt my unborn pups a little..."
And once more, she lay her head back down, closing her eyes to listen to the conversation continue.

He continued to watch as everything unfolded. The puppy-leader was appointed and the Imperial lady was satisfied. He barely noticed as the little Myou skittered away from him. Adriane proceeded to listen closely as the pretty Sennyo named the pack and started talking about the making of her circlet. He kept nodding with avid interest... until she said that word.
"..And I will find myself a gem, if you don't want to be bothered with it... After all, I'm sure all that rock climbing and digging will only hurt my unborn pups a little..."
His voice immediately tightened and he turned his head away, looking at a tree. "Your pups should be fine. I suggest looking in the Ryell caves." No matter what sort of fun loving, hyperactive wolf he was, he despised looking for gems and rocks. He couldn't sense them, and it was a hassle from the usual relative ease of finding his shiny metals. Also, in his opinion, metal was MUCH prettier then gems. Sure, he could mold the metal around the gem. No problem with that.
Adriane suddenly turned to Journey, the Keiyou. "Would you like something, too?" He asked, trying to lighten his slightly upset tone. "Maybe a headband?" But there was also a way in his tone with how he stretched the word "headband." Basically, you'd better not want gems.

Journey chuckled as the sheep myou backed away from the Lupus to stand by him. He'd learn to love this pup. He was amusing to watch. He dropped his head to gaze at the pup as he started speaking to himself. He dipped his head to whisper softly in his ear, "Don't worry, kid. I do that sometimes too. Shhh." His sentence was a sort of secret kind of thing.
Journey watched as the Popo and his mate talked. He slightly rolled his eyes and sighed. The bat myou's voice quickly caught his attention. He turned and stared as he spoke. He nodded. Advisor. He could do that. Easy, right?
The Lupus' voice rang out loudly as he spoke of gems and such for Girafi. Headband? Hmm. Perhaps. "I think that would be most excellent. Such items can represent our rank in Le conseil de Trois Arbres," he replied. His tongue rolled as he spoke in the strange accent. Such language he never knew he could say so easily, so beautifully. He did like that name, and coming from Girafi made it better. He glanced over at her, she'd probably find the way he said that attractive. He smirked.

Falim looked at his brother in surprise.
"Er, uh... Imperial Ph-Philosopher..?" he asked, "I, er... I mean, I think that's great, I'll... I'll do my best!" he couldn't help but stammer. Imperial Philosopher?! He wasn't sure what he'd do... he supposed he'd just... philosophize!
Hey, that's great n' all, Fal," said Purpolis, but... this is still a pack of freaks, and I am still lunch, so.... Falim shook his head.
"We're staying, Purpo," he whispered fiercely. He blushed again as the big Keiyou said that he talked to him self sometimes too. Falim thought of explaining, but he supposed that it was best that he just stayed silent on that particular subject.
"Erm... I think that La Tre- la tri..." Falim stumbled over the name. The words that sounded so elegant from the mouths of others sounded awkward and uncomfortable on his tongue, "I think our pack should, ya know, set down some rules and things... seeing as we don't have any yet..." he trailed off, unsure of what else. As Imperial Philosopher, he felt that he should have more to say, but he supposed it would take some getting used to. Maybe whatever made philosophies hadn't grown fully inside of him yet. Or maybe he had to find the philosophies and then philosophize about them. He was only a pup still, and didn't quite understand what his job was.
"Like... we should only be allowed to eat certain kinds of meat!" he said, for the benefit of Purpolis, "Like, jackalope, bird, mouse, and any large animal that wanders into our territory, but things like sheep... are off the menu!"

Le Conseil de Tres Abres... Yes. He liked that. It sounded good and perfect and respectable. "Yes, Empress, that name sounds great. The metal-searching Lupus offered to give the mate of the Empress something, and suggested that the items represent rank. "Advisor, splendid idea. I like that. Metalsmith, will you make me some earrings? That would be most appreciated." Popo sniffed and continued on.
He chuckled as his brother suggested sheep was off the menu. "Don't worry, Fal, we would never eat sheep. The things you have said are the only meat we shall eat. I say there shall be three founders dens for now. One for the Empress and the Advisor, one for the Metalsmith, and one for me and Fal. Sound good, everyone? And it would be good to learn each others names. I am Popokatamaru, but you may call me Popo."
