P O W E R C o n t e s t [/color] Hello once again my lovelies. It's time for another contest brought to you by your sexy friendly neighborhood staffer. This month it will be a powers contest. Yes, you read that correctly, you can make a power. Yes, it is exciting. Have you wanted your wolf to do something really freakin' awesome, but have never gotten around to suggesting it to a staff? Well, now you can! We will be accepting five new powers to be loved and adored by everyone. There will be a poll for the five picked to decide the power that was most creative, or just in general awesome. This contest starts right now, and ends August 7th.
Rules:- Do not submit a power that can potentially be used to power play.
- You are only allowed to submit a maximum of four entries.
- Post all your entries in one post.
- Do not post in this thread unless you are submitting a power.
- Powers that are accepted can be edited by Staff.
- Please be sure to include any weaknesses or limitations the power may have.
- Please make the description as detailed as possible, but do not ramble and make it overly long.
- Staff may participate.

Username: Krypt Power Name: Silverbending Power Description: Silverbending is a basic power that can be used to make little silver trinkets or statues. I use this power in my stories a lot. You create a ball of silver that is made up of your own energy. Concentrating is the hardest part, for this is how you turn the orb into threads that you then use to make wire, trinkets, frames, chains, bracelets, collars, etc. All of this is used mentally, so you get tired easily. Its not much of a protection power, more of a creation power. Once you are done making whatever it is you wanted, you release your mental grip and almost imediately it turns into a solid physical silver item. This power can be used to make bracers [claws for battle] or armor or whatever. Almost like a metal lupus's power, but this is weak and more for decoration.
This power is mentally taxing, and too much using it will cause your brain to shut down for a few hours until you regain consciousness.
Username: Krypt Power Name: Secretion Power Description: This power gives the user the ability to ooze a liquid of the wolf's choice (such as pure water or moisturing lotion-like paste to soften skin and fur) from the skin. This power is used at will, and often the mind will choose a liquid for the emotion. Such as in rage or anger the body will secrete a poisonous fluid and their saliva becomes venom. In happiness the body may secrete honey.
The warnings for the beholder: you will have a chance of losing your fur over a period of time when it comes to over-use. but if used too little the oozing becomes subconscoius and involuntary. (Maybe a good idea for a Mortui?)
Username: Krypt Power Name: Numbing Power Description: The wolf with this power has the ability to resist all feeling at will. Physical or mental. IE if a wolf is in an emotionally/mentally stressful situation they can lose all emotion and become melancholous until either the situation's solved or it passes. Physical pain can be numbe as if in battle until the war's over. The idea behind it is that it works by locking their soul in a spiritual steel bubble until you release it.
WARNINGS Mental: if used too often your soul becomes lost and your body has no life except for basic bodily functions such as hunting for food, drinking, etc. Physical: the holder is more prone to infections and losing limbs/you never know how bad the wound is or was/the pain hits the holder in violent waves when the numbness wears off.

Username: magispar Power Name: Negation Power Description: This power can be called a 'passive power', rather than an 'active power'- wolves use it without trying, and often don't even know they have it or are using it. Once this power manifests, the wolf cannot prevent him or her self from using it. It makes the powers of others weaker around them; as one gets closer to the Negating wolf, their powers will become less and less effective, and more tiring to use. Any wolf touching a Negating wolf is unable to use their powers at all; this applies to Lupus' powers, Lumen's light powers, and powers given by the Great Spirit. Negating wolves' dreams cannot be walked into; they will see through invisibility; their memories cannot be modified. The power can be curse as much as blessing, if not more; these wolves cannot be magically healed or have a protective forcefield put around them. Naturally, having the Negation power prevents one from using any other powers one might have.
Username: magispar Power Name: Boosting Power Description: A wolf able to Boost another's powers is weak alone, but when with friends can be very difficult to beat. Any wolf with this power can sense the magical abilities of others; any supernatural ability or power within another wolf comes into this power's domain. At lower levels, they can merely tell which of the wolves around them have powers; as the wolf gets stronger, the range within which they can identify powers increases and the wolf gains the ability to tell what the powers of others are, and how skilled the wolf is at using their power. Once the wolf reaches their full power, usually around a year after first acquiring the Boosting power, they are able to temporarily increase the skill of others around them. They can also lend their own energy to others' spells, allowing them to cast magic which requires more energy or endurance than they would normally have alone. When fighting alone, this wolf's power is useless; but when part of a pack, these wolves are treasures indeed.
Username: magispar Power Name: Self Control Power Description: This power allows a wolf to control aspects of their own personality. Wolves who discover this power often commit suicide, especially when they first get the powers and cannot yet control them properly, as it is almost guaranteed to give a wolf a serious identity crisis. The ones that survive are either very strong-willed or end up depressed and broken. It allows them to eradicate their conscious when they need to make difficult decisions, or to force themselves not to lose their temper when they need to stay calm; however, they must always take the risk that their new self might not decide to change back to how they were, and they will lose themselves forever. Every time they change, their memories of their 'old selves' will be like somebody else's memories; the desires and fears of the 'old self' will be irrelevant.
Is it OK if we base the power on a power from a book? If so... Username: magispar Power Name: Powerlinking Power Description: Powerlinking is the ability to create a link between two objects. The link transfers energy between the two objects; so whatever energies are applied to or put into the first object will also be applied to or put into the second object. However, the bond must be specific to a certain type of energy; a kinetic bond between two objects will only transfer kinetic energy. Bonds cannot be created between living creatures and objects, except that at the very highest level of skill, a user can create a bond between their own body and another inanimate object. So if you created a kinetic bond between two sticks and picked up the first stick, the second stick would also rise into the air, because the kinetic energy which moves the stick upwards will also move the second stick upwards. It will feel like you are lifting both at once, because it is necessary to provide enough kinetic energy to be 'shared' between the two sticks. However, setting fire to the first stick will not set fire to the second stick. If, however, you created a thermal bond between the two sticks and set fire to the first stick, the second stick would also become hot. You can create a bond for any kind of energy. The amount of bonds that can be held at once depends upon the skill level and energy levels of the wolf; unskilled, old, or weak users of the power will only be able to create one bond, of one energy type only, at a time. Healthy, fit wolves with high energy levels and a lot of skill will be able to create more; nobody can maintain more than three bonds at once, or a bond with more than five energy types. It's impossible to put multiple energy types through a single bond if you are also in control of multiple bonds at the same time. Keeping a bond in place requires constant concentration and drains the wolf's energy until they release the bond.

Username: Phoenix Power Name: Fantasma Power Description: This power can be good sometimes but extremely dangerous or fatal aswell. Fantasma is the power that allows you to walk through solid things/objects/beings. It is great in a quick escape and uses no energy at all to use. But the dangerous thing is that it comes and goes comes and goes as it pleases. One may run through trees as they go when all the sudden the power may decide to turn off causing them to hit whatever was in front of them or it could stop while they are in the middle of something and the consequences of that could prove fatal. When this power is in use the owners coat becomes pale and may appear transparent but they are fully visible. One may mistake them for a ghost even though they are not. This power can cause more pain than joy as it also works on wolves. In the heat of battle it usually goes and takes a lot of concentration to keep it there but even then it will be weak and so will the owner usually causing them to pass out. One may not be able to get close to a loved one as they will pass through them and again takes great concentration to stop it rather than work it.
Username: Phoenix Power Name: Copycat Power Description: This power allows one to mimic the voices of others wolves and the sounds of animals. It uses little energy and comes at will. It is great for use of trickery with blind wolves and to lure prey to one. But the user must first hear the voice or creature to mimic it. If it is a creature they are copying then they won't know what it says all they know is that they will sound exactly like it saying the same thing, whatever it was. The wolf may feel like having the singing voice of a talented cael or an intimidating voice of a powerful Yagi. But after usuing so many different voices of others one may forget his own and just use whatever voice he feels like for different things. It basically aids them in no way besides playing jokes, trickery or luring prey or just for their own use. As the wolf will still be exactly the same just with a different voice.
Username: Phoenix Power Name: Emoticon Power Description: This power allows one to toy with others emotions with little difficulty and sometimes without knowing it. If the holder of this power feels angry and is around someone else that wolf will also feel angry but will have no idea why. They will not know what they are angry at, only the beholder of the power will know that but they will not know that the one near them feels the same. The other has the ability to shrug off this feeling knowing not why they feel that way. With a bit of energy one may make someone feel the way they want them to but the more unfeeling or strong minded the one they are trying to manipulate is the more energy and force it takes to get the one to believe what they are feeling is true. But if the holder is not on top of it the feeling will quickly ware off and the one it is being used on will no longer feel it. The non-holder of the power still has the ability to choose whether or not what they are feeling is real. So it may not work all the time
Username: Phoenix Power Name: Tongues (please rename) Power Description: This power is strictly for the use of non-wolf characters (unicorns, dragons, griffons...etc.) It gives them the ability to speak in different tongues, including wolves (not including insects). It is not difficult and it seems to come naturally and they will basically know the basic words of the language being able to communicate with only some difficulty but still with a thick accent. Though the more they speak with a certain species the more skilled they become in that language. Though since they do live in a world of wolves most are likely to learn the language of the wolves faster than the language of the dragons or griffons. But they will always be the most skilled in their own tongue.

Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, this power allows the user to will their appearance to change, but not the way they want it to. The other wolf sees the holder of this power in a fantasy sort of light; they mold to their version of beauty, and can almost cause a sort of fatal attraction. It is a power that is hard to turn on and off, and can often cause the wolf to become isolated from others. The appearance change is less of a physical change, and more of a mental illusionary change. This power manifests itself right at birth; the pup appears adorable to whoever sets eyes upon it. They change little until about two years, when the power takes full control and begins to change their appearance depending on what wolf is seeing them. It takes quite a few years to finally master it and gain some semblance of control. The older the wolf gets the more control they have over the power.
Username: Artemis Power Name: Birth Control Power Description:This power allows the user the ability to, in theory, turn on and off their ability to reproduce. The user can choose whether or not to be fertile and susceptible to fertilization, and thus pup-bearing. They cannot terminate a pregnancy after fertilization has occurred. Thus, the female is able to mate without the worry of becoming pregnant, and without becoming permanently sterile. This power is only found in female wolves. No signs show until sexual maturity, usually around their second year. Until then the power itself lies dormant. Upon completing her first heat cycle, the female usually is able to discover her power, and can master it by the age of four years. It does not always work, but a skilled user can have a 90% chance of success.
Username: Artemis Power Name: Mimicry Power Description:The ability is just as its name says; it allows the user to mimic the powers of the other wolf. Matched up against another wolf, the user can almost steal their power, and copy it. It is extremely physically taxing and the user will not be as skilled as the source of the magic. The user can gain more skill in other's magics only if they stay near that wolf for long periods of time, and will lose their skill if separated. The power of mimicry is an odd one, and only shows up around four years of age. Until then the wolf has almost no magical capabilities. Usually wolves' with mates are the first to discover their powers, able to perform the same abilities as their loved ones'. The power is extremely volatile and takes years to perfect. A wolf may never fully grasp control of it, and most do not until they are 8+.
Username: Artemis Power Name: Multiple Power Description: This power allows the user to duplicate their appearance and create an almost 'clone' of themselves. This clone though is immaterial and not physically solid. It cannot cause any physical changes to other wolves or the environment, and can really only be used as a decoy. A skilled wolf can completely control the actions of their 'clone' as well as give them the ability to speak. This power is one that is evident from birth. The pup, until about six months of age is always accompanied by a translucent copy of themselves. At six months the wolf is able to somewhat control it, causing the copy to disappear and reappear in a fuzzy, translucent way. The user improves the quality of the copy clone as he/she grows, and are usually able to have full control by the age of three years.

Username: Jackmara Power Name: Shape Shifting Power Description: As the name states this allows your wolf to shape shift. It's a painful transition at first but your wolf will get used to it after some time. THis takes full mental concentration and will tire your wolf out for a couple hours. At first your wolf will eb thinking about lets say a Jackolope and then then turn into one. When you shape shift the color of your coat stays the same. So if you turned into a dragon, and your coat is green, the dragon's scales would be green. Also, you can only transform into something you've seen with your own eyes. So you can't turn into a dragon if you've never seen one before. Got it? This power also allows you to think like what you turned into. So if you turned into a white stag, you'd have deer instincts not a wolves. You also understand how the creature thinks. So if your a Jackolope you'd panick everytime you saw something bigger than you. It's just the way it works. The more you learn to control it, you can control the time you stay as a creature. If you just got it, you can only change back when you run out of energy. You usually pass out and wake up in wolf form.
Username: henley421 Power Name: Hover Power Description: THis power allows your wolf to hover for short amounts of time. You wolf will grow wings like a bees and will hover. This power takes a lot of comcentration, but as you get the hang of it it gets easier. The wings will disappear after a few minutes. If you don't land before they fade you'll fall out of the air. The mor experience you get with this power, the more you can control how long they last. This power comes with the lupus x sennyo hybrid. This power starts emerging at the age of three for most wolves.

Power Name: Mirror/Echo
Power Description: This allows a wolf to change its appearance to other wolves. However, a wolf with this power can only copy another wolf and not other animals, and if the wolf were to have added animal parts (wings and such) this could not be copied. Also, the wolf with this power would need to have a sample of the wolf that it is copying. Such as, a taste of the other wolf's blood, a small chunk of the wolf, a drink of a single tear drop from the wolf, and etc. The wolf with the power also cannot copy the voice or power of the other wolf. If a wolf with this power mates with another wolf with added animal parts, the pups may able to be copy the added animal parts that the parents had.
They also can only be able to copy at most 5 wolves, not including its originality self. They can stay as one wolf as long as they want.

Username: Chess Power Name: Animal Manipulation Power Description: Animal Manipulation: Ability to communicate and control animals other than other wolves (to avoid god modding). The user of this power has the ability to after serious amounts of practice to communicate and control other animals from prey to other predators. The smaller the animal the easier it is, however just because you can communicate with animals, does not always mean you have the energy for skills to control them. Most wolves under six years old can do no more than talk to smaller animals, such as rabbits and other small prey. This is trying because you cannot control prey or any other animal, and most are terrified of wolves or they try to eat them. Only after seven years of constant practice and exhaustive experimentation can a wolf get to the point where they can control larger animals. The amount of time the animal remains under control is directly proportionate with the energy level of the wolf. Once it dwindles, and there is no more energy to be siphoned off by the power, the link is broken and no more communication/manipulation.
Username: Chess Power Name: Emotive Manipulation Power Description: Emotive Manipulation: Another manipulative power, this gives it’s owners the ability to understand other wolves emotions. They may not know the source of the emotion but when the wolf is in close proximity (a few feet) they can feel their emotions. The closer the blood bond, the more powerful this power is with those relatives. The ability to manipulate the emotions comes around the age of four. Once the age is reached of manipulation the wolf with the power becomes aware of the fact that not only can they feel other wolves emotions, but there is a tingling sensation in their mind that allows them to know if they chose they could manipulate and change the emotion they are currently feeling. Energy manipulation is easier for more positive emotions, but the more negative emotions, anger, fear and hate siphon and use more energy than positive thus draining the wolf faster.
Username: Chess Power Name: Ancestral Evocation Power Description: Ancestral Evocation: This power allows a wolf to call on the minds of others living dead or in another world. This ability may be used to communicate with a past life, a deceased ancestor, or to receive help from a living friend. This power is limited to beings with a connection to the user in some way, or a being the wolf has had communication with in the past. This ability covers a wide range of mental communication. Evocation pulls the mind of another into the mind of the users, allowing them to communicate whether or not they would normally have the ability to. This power can only be used in a quiet meditative state, and some beings my only be called upon during certain parts of the day. Ancestors and past lives are to be contacted from late night to dawn, while living friends and other communications can be done at dusk. There must be a link of some sort for the wolf to be able to communicate through this method.
Username: Chess Power Name: Size Shifting Power Description: Size Shifting: This power can come in handy once harnessed. Most wolves do not have the skills of this power down until at least the age of six. In fact most pups get themselves into trouble unknowingly by becoming quite large or small as the result of a sneeze or sudden movement/emotion. (Dimensions would be open to acceptable parameters) The shift in size is actually a gradual increase and decrease, anyone watching the wolf in question would see the gradual change (think alice in wonderland when she eats and drinks and changes size). This can be used as intimidation tactic, or a spy tactic. However the bigger the wolf grows, the more energy they will expend, making them useless in a fight after they become big. Becoming smaller takes less energy, but of course there are verified risks the smaller the wolf becomes.

Username: McDaci Power Name: Nightmare Power Description: Ones 'gifted' with the power of Nightmare may or may not know they have this power at all unless they connect the dots. Those with the power will gradually start seeing a shift in those they interact with. Some individuals will be utterly terrified of them and may refuse to be in their presence. Others could become uneasy or angry at the user. It is quite possible for the individual who obtains this power to not know anything at all about it unless the wolves they afflict tell them what they see. What actually happens is the user's power triggers fear in anyone they come in contact with. It could be simple or complex, varying widely between individuals. The power could simply inspire fear at the sight of the user, or it could make the victim start seeing what they fear. The user would suddenly be covered in spiders if the victim had Arachnophobia, or could be a spider themself. What keeps it from being powerplayed is the victim's own take on the fear. If they are the type that runs away from their fears and are cowards, then they will be terrified. If they choose to face their fear, so be it. Of course, the user's own control over the power would grow only with practice and time, being unstable and uncontrollable at first. It's also a short-range power, working only on individuals who are relatively close to you(physically speaking.)

Username: Salem Power Name: Historic Touch (... Haha. Lame name. I couldn't think of anything else... Please change it xD) Power Description: With this power, one is able to see the past of others just by the faintest touch. When the user comes in direct contract with another through touch in any way, their whole history is brought to the user in an instant. This usually startles the user for a moment as the memories are flooded into their head. As a side effect, the more wolves the user comes in contact with, the harder it is to remember his or her own memories. They become jumbled up in a mess with the others and the user could even forget their own past and take on one from one of the wolves they had come in contact with. As another side effect, it often causes nightmares from traumatic experiences of others and can leave the user with little or no sleep at all, and perhaps even new fears. After a while all the memories and voices can be quite tiresome and will get irritating because the user can't have genuine contact with anyone without being flooded with an array of emotions and images. More often than not, the user will avoid contact with any wolf to save themself from the side effects.

Username: soar Power Name: Fury Power Description: Wolves with this power have an upper hand in battles; Fury lends them temporary super strength and speed. It doesn't last very long, normally around 2-5 minutes, so when this phase ends the wolf normally is left fatigued. This can leave the wolf in a great risk in specific situations (such as unfinished battles). Username: soar Power Name: Distant Cousins (idk ?) Power Description: Requires two to four wolves for this power to work. It is a form of telepathy but works in long distances. This power requires an identification of other wolves at the beginning in order to start a mind relationship so that it doesn't link to unwanted wolves. This can be useful as you can tell what is going on at other side and communicate with others no matter how much the distance is. But your wolf will be able to feel what others are feeling or shares others' pain via mind link. Other but more uncommon name for this is twin telepathy. **communication in long distance requires other wolf's RPer's permission Username: soar Power Name: Power Soul Power Description: This power requires other power to work; lupus can get this easily as they are born with elemental powers. This is basically a physical representation of a power, boosting it. For example, a fire lupus with this power would appear glowing like embers, its body temperature would increase, its fur (if it isn't already) would turn fire coloured, and finally its fire power would be more dangerous. The downside of having this power is that it can be dangerous. If you're stuck in 'Power Soul' mode for long period it can seriously injure or kill you as the power inside you would start to overwhelm you. For instance, a wolf with lightning power, the electricity inside it can start shocking the wolf itself. lol more may come soon :33

It could put you in a jam or it could possibly save your life and give you possible/very helpful allies for the future. To be used wisely for if you speak telepathically more often to different creatures than your own, you risk forgetting your native tongue!
Username: winkatuck Power Name: Durango Sango Power Description: Power to change your dietary habits. Stuck in the desert without prey and water? Use this magic so you can live only off of sand until then! Plenty of rocks or grass and no moving animals to hunt in sight? Durango Sango can make your stomach stronger and your teeth more durable to feast on such hardcore delicacies. WARNING: Can cause internal bleeding/digestion and reproduction problems if used often as a strict dietary supplement.
Username: winkatuck Power Name: Cutting Thin Power Description: The ability to, in a split second if needed, become flattened like a sheet of paper. Less worry compared to teleportation's lethal side effect, but does not keep you safe from an aerial attack or a pounce. (Also perfect for getting into tight horizontal spaces!)
Username: winkatuck Power Name: Constricto Power Description: When one can control their body proportions and become long and elastic like rubber. Useful when needed to constraint escaping prisoners or crossing huge gorges without problem. Not to be left stretched out for a long amount of time or the user can get stuck stretched out and paralyzed.

Username: Thalia Power Name: Inflicted Paranoia Power Description: Inflicted Paranoia allows the power holder to not implant thoughts into the others mind, but to target the dopamine vessels in the brain cells and cause hyper-formation and secretion of dopamine. Dopamine is a chemical that is released through the synapse to transmit messages between brain cells. It is found in a wide variety of animals including wolves. This chemical is responsible for many behavioural attributes and sleep, mood, memory, voluntary movement, punishment and reward and a few others. It is hypothesized that hyper-formation and secretion (too much being made and released) may indirectly be a cause of schizophrenia. So basically this power allows the holder to induce schizophrenia by increasing dopamine levels and making a chemical imbalance in ones brain. Schizophrenia is when people experience delusions, hallucinations, disturbances in thinking and withdrawal from social activity. Anyway, this is a hard power to master, and it would take years and years to learn how to use the power properly. And unfortunately, if one has not mastered it, they cannot control it. Very few have ever learned to control it. Whenever a wolf gets emotional around another, whether its anger, hatred, sadness or love, the power will automatically begin to start up. The power holder can’t control this, and while sometimes it may be what they want, others, it could be the exact opposite. As they can’t control it, whenever they are close and have strong feeling about a loved one or friend, the other will start to show effects of this power. They will push away from all others thinking they have turned against them. As a result the power holder cannot get close to another, without causing them become insane. This eventually makes the power holder, push away from any encounter with others, scared of what they might do. Sometimes, after years of seeing others fall sick from their company, they will get depressed and sometimes go mad themselves. It can be seen either way; a gift, or a curse. As for the victim, a strong willed wolf will not be badly affected. Maybe they will start thinking everyone is turning against them and push away from friends and family. But if they are strong enough it will not last. As for weak wolves it can be very severe. They will start thinking everyone is turning against them, and start hearing voices, pushing them to do bad things. They will become paranoid and looked at as crazy by other wolves. And if it is severe enough they will start to see things too. This is a long term effect but if the power holder did not do a good job it will be weak and will not last. This is most usually the case. Also effect is influenced by if the victim is knowledgeable on the power. This is just a rough copy I think staff feel free to change it to your liking.

Username:Kitten Power Name: Extrasensory Power Description: The ability to enhance on or more of four senses above and beyond that of any other wolf. For those who have great hearing they can hear whispered conversations up to a mile away. Wolves with eyesight can see far in great detail or close on a microscopic level. Smell can pick up scents from great distances and trails that are weeks old. Taste can pick up flavors and enhance them. This can be good for getting a good meal and picking out herbs.
The drawbacks to this power is that to use one of these senses is to take away from the others. For example, a wolf with sight, when seeing far distances won't be able to tell whats going on around them. For hearing they go practically blind and their vision has no focus. Scent can keep you from hearing and Taste keeps you from smelling.
