She didn't like exploring and after her last time outside the Meadow, when she'd got lost in the Hotali Desert, she had no desire to leave her mother's side ever again. So she had really no idea why she was here. And no, she hadn't been butterfly chasing again, Thank You Very Much, Absolutely Not. She wasn't that childish, at least, not any more. She didn't have any theories. She honestly didn't know. She'd just got up one morning and wandered down here, through Lumera and Yuliterra, from the easternmost place in the known world all the way to the westernmost. Now she knew she was a bit of a dreamer, but not even she could go all that way without noticing. She'd taken a day's walk to get here. She just... had no idea. She just wanted to. Maybe it was Fate. The idea that she was predestined didn't excite her much. Hoshi was one of those people content to cheer as the heroes go by. Phoenix, and Magispar, they were her heroes; she most certainly wasn't one. She was just... here. So she sat down and waited with growing apprehension. She began to think about running all the way back to the Meadow, but... no. Whatever Random Thought had brought her all this way must have had some reason behind it... She gazed around her. Green leaves. Lots of green. At least this place was green, like the Meadow. It was darker than the Meadow, though, with a thick canopy overhead. Hoshi shivered. Something told her that things were about to go Terribly, Terribly Wrong.

(Sorry rubbishy post, but Phoe asked me to start it and I honestly couldn't think of ANY idea why Hoshi would go all the way from Connewa to Salnero for no reason. I mean, she's a coward... she hates exploring. But I've done the thread for y'all, so... yeah.)

She had been everywhere except the Mafia lands but that was where she was headed now as she could find them nowheres else. A pit of dread lay in her stomach as questions flew through her. What had happened to her dear pups? Where they hurt? Captured? Or even worse, dead? She couldn't think of it but continued on picking up her pace. She could see the Jungle up ahead and her heart beat faster. She took off at a run and watched as she got closer and closer to the forest. Her eyes frantically searched for the familiar shapes of Echo, Hoshi and Calyx but her heart plummeted when she could see nothing but the towering canopy and a set of ferns. She slowed down and put her nose to the ground searching for their scents, her spirits raised then plummeted again as now she knew that they were hear but had gone into the forest. She cautiously lifted a paw and prayed that she wouldn't be caught, stepping over the scent line and into the undergrowth. Each step was filled with fear and she jumped at each noise. She followed her pups trail through the tropical forest calling out their names softly, loud enough but not loud enough to be heard from afar. Her flame coloured eyes brightened as she noticed the familiar forms of her pups gathered in the centre of the path. She rushed over to them calling their names as she went and smothering them in licks and scolding them at the same time. But truth was she was just happy to see them and unhurt too. "Come on let's get out of here. Quickly now." She couldn't help feeling the uncomfortable sensation that she was being watched by unseen eyes in the shadows of the foliage. She hated it hear every second she felt as if something or someone was going to jump out of nowhere and attack her. She turned quickly and rushed to the back of her pups shooeing them along with her nose.

OOC: Due to Moonrose being away I have been giving permission to play Calyx's actions in Phoenix's posts though will keep it brief and to a minimum as I don't want to be powerplaying to much.

Ever since the mysterious absence of his first real friend in this pack, he'd been sticking rigidly to work. He chased out or killed any trespassers that dared make their way into Mafia lands. Hapless fools, all of them. None of them actually had any real purpose here. They just wandered in, looking for potential homes or a meal. What they didn't know was that the Mafia was not hospitable nor tolerant of outsiders. Sparta was honestly fed up with all the idiots prancing into the jungle like they owned the place. Could they not feel the violent aura of the place? Maybe they should stick the skulls of their victims around the perimeter as a warning. But as a result, Sparta's bedding of furs in his den was growing increasingly thick. Something he really didn't need in the summer- or winter, in the jungle. But at least it wasn't hard ground he had to sleep on. So it was with some annoyance that he heard a voice inside the tree-line. Well inside the tree-line. And he smelled the scent of fear. Great, more trespassers. Sparta broke his leisurly walk and went into a trot, until he appeared before the trespassers. A female lupus stood there, with three puppies. Obviously not a fighting bunch. They would be of no use to the Mafia. Sparta stood between them and their escape route to freedom. "Just what the fuck do you think you're doing here, outlanders?" The big Yagi bared his teeth at the female and snarled at the puppies, hoping to frighten them. It was in his sadistic nature to see them afraid before they died. "I'm sure the higher-ups will enjoy feasting on the tender corpses of a female and her puppies." It was true. A good portion of the Mafia was cannibalistic. Sparta himself was not. It wasn't in his taste. But he didn't really give a shit if any of his comrades ate their own kind, and he was not above giving his own victims to them for that purpose. More furs to line his den... puppy fur was soft... Sparta snarled as he padded closer to the group of trespassers.

Horns sat tall and proud above his head and immediately she knew he was a Yagi. The male then stepped closer then asked what she had been doing here. She immediately shadowed her pups and straightened up, eyes blazing and shot back at him. "Taking a morning stroll through the jungle, what do you think we are doing here? Or are those horns of yours screwed on to tight." She finished with a spit and snarl. Phoenix never took being yelled at nicely and would always respond with something witty to cover her fear and show her anger. So far she hadn't taken much liking to Yagi since Raja and she had already started to hate this one. She was like a bomb once lit she exploded and it took more than one to stop her. She shoved her face into the males standing eye to eye with him the ground sizzling beneath her feet as her paws heated up. The humidity in the air meant that she would need more energy to keep a flame going but heating something was what she could do easily without much effort and if it came to a fight she would burn the males fur off. Hopefully turning some of his green hairs black. She bared her teeth her dark red almost maroon tongue curled around her pearly white teeth as she continued to snarl at the male. She still carried a few wounds and didn't want them to open up so she would be pissed if they did all because of this useless excuse of a wolf.

(Excuse me, Scorch? I know Phoenix told you that it was okay to post in this, but I don't think anyone really explained the whole idea of the thread to you. We're in a plot where Phoenix and Sparta are supposed to get into a fight and get Phoenix+puppies captured. The whole Scorch-appearance is really sudden, because we already planned who was going to be in the thread and what their roles would be. If you want, I or Phoenix could PM you the plot or explain it in the cbox if you want to continue the thread. But otherwise, we'd appreciate it if you deleted your post. Thank you.)

[atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/5Ei5.png] Hoshi squealed loudly in fright as she saw somebody approaching- fast- but relaxed when she saw it was her mother and promptly burst into tears. "I don't know what to do!" she wailed loudly. "This place is horrible and scary and nasty and-" Her voice became muffled as her mother smothered her in licks. She feebly attempted to lick her back, relieved beyond compare that somebody was here to save her. "Come on, let's get out of here. Quickly now," her mother told her. Relieved to be told what to do, Hoshi made to walk off, sobs still breaking unevenly in her throat. Her sobs turned into a scream as she heard a voice swearing at her; a scream which was abruptly cut off into choking heaves as she jumped about a foot in the air and fell over backwards. Terrified, the cub hid herself in her mother's side. Her mother's fur was safe, and warm, and her mother would protect her. She wanted to stay with her muzzle buried in her mother's side forever. She took a cautious glance out of her mother's fur and immediately looked away again. The other wolf was baring his fangs at them. What if she died? What if her mother couldn't protect her? She heard her mother make some furious response to the male and more sobs welled in her chest at the combination of hope at her mother's defiance and terror at the trouble she might cause. Hoshi sprung back as her mother began heating her paws and shoving her face in the male's. It was then that the hysterical young coward finally panicked, bolting into the bushes. She didn't go far and was easily within hearing of the wolves she'd left behind, but she couldn't stand the hostility in the area, weak and scared as she was. She crouched in a bush several metres away from the wolves, crying and whimpering.

(OOC: My first ever post where I've had Hoshi truly break under stress. She's becomes hysterical very easily, she's not somebody who's great under stress/tension, and I'm glad to be finally bringing her into her adult personality of slightly useless coward. )

Taking a morning stroll through someone else's territory sounds like a great idea! If you have a death wish!" He added at the end, growling louder as she stuck her face into his. He noticed one of the puppies skitter away but didn't bother with it. It wouldn't get far. "Cowardly little scrap you have there, outsider. Not much potential." Sparta didn't wonder, nor did he care why a female would be stupid enough to bring her young, wimpy puppies to a harsh place like the Jungle, with equally unforgiving residents. The puppies here could rip her's apart, and they'd enjoy it. There was huge doubt that this Lupus could sufficiently defend herself, unless she'd had no idea in the first place that the Mafia even existed in the area. Sparta wasn't even thinking about details like that, as he was being consumed by blind rage. His blue eyes were like fire as he looked down at her. Sparta's face was dangerously close to the female's. Speaking of fire... the ground was getting hot... With an angry jolt he realized she must be a Lupus. Dammit! He took a step back as his paws started to feel as if they would burn, then he looked back at her. "Tricksy bitch, I'll show you not to mess with the Mafia!" He snarled as he lunged at her, sabers bared fully and gleaming an eerie white. Sparta aimed to bite down on her face. That was what was closest to her. He'd cause her some pain before he killed her.

The male lunged for her face but she had been ready, her paws ignited, her best trick by far. Just as the male came close enough she swung at him snarling with satisfaction as she felt her paw connect with his face and the smell of burning flesh and fur filled the air. She jumped back ready for his next attack this time all of her black markings ignited, tail, ears, nose, shoulders and paws. Each carried a bright red and orange flame. If this male pierced her with his horns she would be done for but she would not let that happen. He had the strength but she had the agility, being quick and light on her paws. "You shouldn't have done that, I shall burn you to ashes! You heartless bastard!" she snarled at him and in bling rage charged, teeth bared and ready to strike. When she got close enough she leaped paws outstretched the flames on them reaching out to touch the yagi. She didn't even think of his horns now she just wanted to be rid of him and to protect her pups from any further danger. One had already fled into the bushes and the other two stood terrified behind her. She became distracted and that would most likely become a fatal mistake.

But just as he thought that, her paw collided with his face and he felt pain. Ow! An angry snarl was Sparta's chosen noise of pain as his fur burned and flesh singed. She would pay for that, very dearly. At her angry battle cry, Sparta smirked darkly. This bitch didn't know a thing or two about who she was dealing with. Sparta was a seasoned soldier, always practicing and fighting. Even with a pack to support him, the Jungle was a harsh place to live. He also didn't exactly trust his pack-mates, despite the rules. This female had puppies that were at least a few months old, and from the looks of them they weren't battle-hardened. Which meant that she'd probably hadn't had a good fight since before their birth, if ever. Sparta didn't really care about past details like that... And as she leapt at him, flames coiling around her, Sparta saw his chance. He saw a light of distraction in her eyes. Ha! Opening. Sparta sidestepped easily as she came down, then swung around, head down. The Yagi's aim was clear and swift. He may not be agile, but he was fast. He could deliver a blow if he caught her off guard. The brunt of his horns were aimed at her side. Sadly, he wouldn't be able to skewer her with his horns, thus a killing blow would be largely impossible, especially at this range. But the weight of his force behind the impact should knock her to the side, even stun her. If Sparta was lucky, he might even break a rib or two. That would be a painful injury!

She quickly pushed herself to her feet but not a second after she was rammed in the side. With a yelp she flew backwards onto her side. The wind was knocked from her and her chest felt as if it had been crushed, she sucked in air desperately but she found it hard to breathe and could only manage it a tiny bit. She slowly dragged herself to her feet panting and unsteady but a look of cold fury and determination in her eyes. She thought desperately for her next move. The ground was damp and wouldn't light but hopefully the males fur would. There was one trick she knew but it took quite a bit of energy for it to be strong and she was not sure if she had it. She closed her eyes and summoned her energy then opening them again along with her mouth. She sucked in as much air as she could muster and blew out. A ball of flame shot across aimed straight for the yagi. It was weak but if it hit its target it would do its job. She spit out another even weaker one that was a bit faster colliding with the first to make it stronger and faster. Already she felt her energy draining and soon she would no longer be able to fight but would have to give in to the yagi and let him do to her as he wished. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: So sorry for the earlier powerplay, it will not happen again. And I give permission for Sparta to do anything to Phoenix as long as it does not kill her Im good. So all torture and what not are alowed as I do believe she will give into it to save her pups and it would make this interesting. Aswell I don't mind if you do a tiny bit of powerplay with Sparta after this. All good anything to make for an interesting thread

Now he could finish her off all the more easily. He would drag her lifeless body back to the don adorned with blood, her sniveling puppies around her as small snacks for anyone who cared. Sparta would be rewarded for this! He had high hopes as the female opened her mouth and shot fire at him like an angry dragon. Whoa... didn't see that coming. Sparta staggered backwards into the shadows and let them engulf him. Ha! His Shadow power was working! The flames went right on through and... into the forest. Jeez, hope Sylv won't be mad if anything sets on fire... After the flames, Sparta stepped back out into the sunlight and smiled at her. "That all you got, bitch? You'll have to do better..." He walked towards her easily. She looked tired. Odds were even more in his favor now. Though he had learned the hard way to be cautious when around her. Fire was something she apparently liked to ignite suddenly, at any moment. "Your fur will make a nice lining for my den..." He bared his teeth and lunged at her once more...

They would be the pride of the Mafia someday, what with their superior skills. Each of them had the traits needed; intelligence, sadism, and of course the most important part- the intense drive to kill. At least as far as Isabella could tell at this early age. Most of them seemed like little hellions already, no pun intended. Although that could be just her viewpoint as their mother. She did have her hands full. Although with Kid usually lurking around and being the obsessive father he was, her job was made considerably easier. A hopeful pride surged through Isabella as she watched on. Her beautiful children... It was her turn to watch them today. They were closer towards the edge of the territory today. Although Isabella was pretty sure that, protective as ever, their father was lurking somewhere in the vicinity. He never strayed too far from his puppies. At least as far as Isabella knew. It was a peaceful day anyway. Quite beautiful. The snake was enjoying her personal time with her children. So it was with no small amount of anger that fire suddenly shot through the bushes, threatening to burn her offspring. Snarling, Isabella urged her children away from the spout of flames. But just as soon as they were there... they were gone. Isabella's eyes narrowed and she surged forward through the bushes, intent on whatever had just done that. "What the hell?!" She snarled as she emerged. Next to her stood Sparta, looking quite smug with himself as he finished a full sentence. Well, that was something for someone of his IQ to be proud of. But opposite from him stood a red Lupus, who honestly looked quite exhausted. Not that Izzy really cared one the physical state of the creature. She was an intruder, who was quite likely the cause of the fire that had just threatened her babies. "YOU!" She hissed vehemently at the Lupus as she stalked dangerously closer to it. "What do you think your doing? YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST WANDER IN AND SPEW FIRE IN RANDOM DIRECTIONS?! DO YOU REALIZE YOU COULD'VE ROASTED MY CHILDREN!!!" Isabella was raving mad. She really wasn't thinking too clearly. This Lupus had threatened her pups, and she was not going to let it go too easily. Her forked tongue flicked out angrily and she slunk closer to the Lupus, her eyes full of murderous intent. It was then that, for an instant, Izzy noticed that the Lupus had two puppies cowering behind her, and she could see another small set of eyes peeking from the bushes beyond. Ah, so this Lupus was a mother too. Not that Izzy really cared. She wasn't the merciful type. Switching her gaze back to the mother, the snake Myou bared her long fangs andd growled threateningly.

She automatically assumed this female was a myou with a snake as a second soul. The female started to yell her head off and walked right up to her. This female was terrifying and by what she said a pissed mother was not one to mess with. She cowered before her, ears flattened and tail between her legs and backed up slowly to shield her pups. She would do anything for them, even if it meant her own life was at stake. She may have been terrified of the wolf in front of her but her eyes showed only anger towards them. She did not speak only continued to snarl no matter how much it hurt her chest. Then she spoke "Well then, now that you have me here what do you want with me and my pups. We are no harm to you so why don't you just let us be or do you Mafia wolves have no mercy?" she snarled angrily already her paws scorching the ground once more. She then ignited them and quick as lightning swung at the snake wolf hopefully hitting her right in the face and burning her skin.

When Echo had decided to follow his siblings he had not even considered the possibility of something as terrifying as what was happening at the moment. He had simply followed their scents and at times rubbed against them while they travelled to make sure he was not too far from them. He had not realised that they had travelled as far as they had until the damp smell of the jungle surrounded him. The Jungle also held a lot more noise, it was a strange and curious place and in honesty he might have been the leading factor into why they went a bit deeper into it rather than just stay on the border. The Mafia scent that should have deterred him, pushed him on and making his curiosity light up even more than it already was. He had known nothing about the pack until the male showed, with his appearance Echo had taken a wild guess that he was only so aggressive because he was protecting the pack. With the arrival of a second Mafia wolf he got the idea that the pack was none too friendly.

For most of the time that the fight had been raging he kept close to his siblings, Hoshi’s disappearance made his heart thump but the presence of her smell reminded him she was still alive. He could hear her breathing if not her heart beat. His mother radiated heat which made what she was doing pretty obvious. The male smelt like testosterone, a smell that he often admired but at this time it instilled fear. The forest was awash with the harsh voices, he shivered at the sound of his mother’s voice. Even though she was protecting them the harshness in her voice was frightening.

While his mother was replying to the Myou Female he stood up slowly, where his sister was seemed like a much safer place to be. He nudged his other sibling and then scrambled over to his sister. Before hiding in the bush he gave the Mafia members a glare and an attempt at a snarl that would most likely endanger his life. What they did was not right, he could not help but want to fight with his mother but he was afraid and weak.
“Hoshi” He whispered, “Lets run away from here. Mum can find us later. Its... dangerous” He said it quickly and quietly in one breath stepping backwards, his ears perked.

Sparta could tell that she wasn't happy about the flames that had just assaulted her. Well, he wasn't too happy about it either. If she wanted to kill this Lupus, he didn't want to let her. The bitch belonged to him now. Her life was his until he killed her, when he would take her fur and give her corpse to any who wanted to eat her. THEN maybe Isabella could eat her. But Sparta also knew something else. Isabella was higher in rank than him. Which was something that the Yagi personally thought royally sucked. Seriously! Where was a little weight to throw around when you needed it! He turned to Phoenix as she retorted to Isabella. Despite not wanting the interference of the snake myou, he could use it in an argument against her. "Don't talk back to wolves superior than you, bitch." He snarled. But then the Lupus went and attacked Isabella. Sparta was furious! He was supposed to protect the pack! He ran at them but Isabella was closer...
