Swalleena watched the events of the meeting unfold with curiosity; her new pack was certainly a gathering of interesting individuals, evidently not all as comfortable with social gatherings as the select few. The hint of a knowing smile crested upon her maw, a gentle teasing of her regal feature that contrasted sharply with the soft texture of her fur and her downy wings. Swalleena could certainly cope with social gatherings, she had been raised and trained to do so with utmost grace; however she had discovered that at heart she was more of a solitary being and the Lake Amarenthyst was large enough to meet this demand.
The play of emotions upon the hybrid`s face upon the Queen`s announcement was surely not due to his promotion; however the whisp could not grasp what else it might relate to. In any case, his was a hurt that a mere Healer could not attend to, and she silently sent out good will to the good sir. Her passive face only became tinged with small wrinkles when she noted how the new King addressed the hybrid, but she remained quiet and watchful, it wasn`t her place to say anything and she was content letting others sort out their personal matters. Certainly it could be said that the pair of lupus made a fine couple, Keinvarii exuded a calm leadership and the male`s dashing good looks and natural ease were quite the sight to behold, if not almost too perfect.
The one with similar colors to her own gave her a welcome and the whisp smiled in turn. Cocking her head to the side she watched a few other members join in the circle, all with their own thoughts and emotions and none of whom she had met. Dissolving ever so slightly she tucked her wings into the comforts of her smoke and flittered silently among the pack, a ghostly outline barely visible to the naked eye. A young female lupus made an entrance, only to receive a rebuke from the King, it seemed to be a needless rebuke but Swalleena kept quiet, interfering in royal affairs did not interest her.
That did not mean she couldn`t show Cahaya that she bore her no ill will, and so she rested at the younger wolf`s side, emerald eyes burning with gold flecks as she took a more solid form. “Hello Cahaya, I too am new to the pack, it is a pleasure to meet you. Lupus I am to gather? I am a whisp,” she said with an amused smile, "you’ll have to pardon me, it`s a genetic thing.” She concluded, referring to her habit to dissolve and reappear in full form.
She turned her piercing gaze upon her King, noting his cocky comments and forward approach to matters and gave a small inward sigh, the male would learn, no doubt, what won a pack over and what in turn would destroy it. At least she hoped so, and for all his fine looks Swalleena was sure he possessed leader qualities if Keinvarii had chosen him as a mate. Speaking up she let her voice settle over the group, a light blanket of warmth such as the sun`s caress on a spring flower, “May you both be met with good fortune and health, my King and Queen, it will be an honour to serve as healer for you and this pack.” With this one sentence she acknowledged their rank and put forth her loyalties and then fell silent, waiting and ever the more watching.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=00c5cd] It had been one of the longest journeys he had ever been on in his life if he was truthful with himself. Journeying to the Centenna Accord’s lands had taken a lot out of his group he knew, the traveling up from the Cove, over mountains, skirting the territory of the Mafia, and making sure to not intrude on the lands of the Children, there was so much more to being a “ringleader” then he had previously thought. Although he was not regretting his choice by any means he knew he was also in charge of navigation for the rest of the pack and while he had not wanted to push the group too fast and too far, considering they mainly consisted of females, they could not miss their deadline. He knew Raynor had remained with his pack to tell them of their arrival and he knew they were performing for a special ritual or event of some sort but the reason was not truly important to Lio, this was his dream. Every new territory they climbed through affronted his nose with new smells, textures, plants and prey, it was amazing.
He tried to make sure they had enough time to rest, groom themselves, and in general hunt for enough prey to sustain them all traveling, and he was surprised the newfound respect he had for Crow, the tallest and by far largest member of the group. His offer to hunt for Tawny and to help him take care of her before they left gained a large portion of respect from him, and he included the large male on many decisions of where to rest, and even hunted alongside him on the journey. He kept his eyes carefully on Tor, but it didn’t seem as though she and Crow would ever really get back to how friendly they had been when he had first met them. He kept Tor and Dreamith close within his sights, to make sure some of the tension had bled out of that scenario at least as much as it could before they got to their final destination and had to perform. Although they may not have been performing with each other it was imperative that they not be distracted by each other either, and Lio was tempted to tell them both that as the lands began to change again.
Freezes, and snow greeted them as they skirted the south end of the Children’s lands and Lio made sure they made their last over night stop in a safe, covered place. He knew it would be awkward all things considered, some of them may not have been used to sleeping so close to others but he had no choice, he had to be able to keep an eye on everyone, it would do no good to have one of them injured or incapacitated when they were so very close to their destination. That morning he spoke to them all before heading out, “We are less than half a day’s travel from the Accord’s lands, and it will be very important that when we get there for everyone to do their best to be groomed and presentable so that we can begin as soon as the pack deems it necessary. I know this journey has been long, and harder on some more than others, but I know once we get through this first traveling and performance it will get easier…in truth I am very proud to be accompanied by such strong, and talented wolves.”
His eyes fell on Tawny, who he was the most worried about, the other brown female had enraptured his thoughts and he thought about her constantly. The hot pink fish hallucinations bothered her, he knew. But he also knew that this could also be a sign from the Great Spirit that she was truly a born performer. She was an excellent organizer, she knew how to get things done, but Lio would have loved to see Tawny in the limelight where she belonged. With a long look into her eyes and a smile he turned and moved his body toward the forest that surrounded the famous lake that the Accord held access too. He could smell the pack scent he had smelled on Raynor many times, and knew he was crossing into their lands. His first steps were tentative, as if he expected to be rushed at any moment and accused of trespassing, but he had hoped Raynor had told his alphess and alpha and that they were expecting them and they would not deal with any problems on their way to meet them. As he reached the water’s edge he turned and looked at the group that had joined him, his heart accelerated just a little bit.
“This is the Accord’s lands, I will howl and announce our presence and then we shall swim the lake to those cliffs, I can hear more commotion from there so I assume we can find the alphas there and ask when to begin to entertain them at this ceremony..” With that he tilted his head back and howled to the skies above, the howl musical and could quickly be known as the musical, rhythmic sound of a Cael alerting them to his group’s presence. When he silenced the howl he turned and looked at them..”I know you all can do this…let’s go..” He knew Crow could swim but he made to stay close to the Yagi male just in case he could help some way. The females were lighter, and all gifted with the natural ability to swim, Crow was a land wolf by nature. As he entered the water, his larger electric blue tail propelled him through the water, luckily even though it was windy, the lake waters were ten times calmer than the ocean. Reaching the other side he shook off as best he could, the water sprinkling all around him, and he felt the others around him shaking and drying off.
The last hurdle would be climbing to the top of the cliff, and even Lio’s muscles were exhausted, so he knew how the others must have felt. In reality he had no reason to climb to the top. Even though he and Tawny could jump off the cliffs, he knew Crow couldn’t, and so for them to entertain it would be better for the pack to descent to near water levels to be able to see more than anything else. His howl should have gotten their attention and so he calmly sat down with a smile on his face….”Now we wait..” He knew the others were probably full of tension, and he knew his stomach was turning, for a short moment he closed his eyes and tried to come to some kind of centering space so when he did meet the alphas he was more calm and collected then he appeared, out of all of them he would need to appear together. For a long moment he looked at each member of the Circus and willed them to calm themselves as he was doing, if only for their own nerves. | |

He had just hoped that this day would come and finally it was here. Now he just needed to mingle his scent with Raynor again before their big act. He had to admit he missed him most since they spent so much time after his encounter with Brightness and Tor before winter hit. He helped him put himself back together, helped him get over the pain of rejection, and mostly... helped him become a better wolf overall.
Crow had to admit that the ringleader had grown on him since they left. He seemed to confide in him for where to go and which paths to take. The stocky Yagi didn't know he honestly mattered that much to the group, but Nelio let him know otherwise. He was just glad he could help and be of service. He couldn't imagine a better family to stick beside, up until now, he didn't what a family really was. Spending time with a whole group, a circus, changed Crow's outlook on life. He had become friendlier with Tor but had not really let her as close now.
The winter seemed to really taken a toll on the group, while Crow had his thick coat they had shorter fur for swimming easier. He would greatly offer to be the furnace if it meant keeping his family well and alive. Being a loner and being able to care fo himself for so long, did have quite the advantages when he had traveled plenty and knew how to avoid dangers like frostbite or which territories laid where. He did not want to encounter his crazy uncle again and risk the whole show! Nope, they went right around it... making sure not a bit of the dense jungle had scathed them. Crow made sure to keep and eye on Tawny, who seemed someone really and truly close to Lio. If they weren't mates and were not related... what kind of relation could one hold?
This thought continued to ring through his mind, even after nelio had made the call as they began the home stretch across the lake. Crow's limber legs took wide and broad strokes as he began to paddle in the murky depths. Most of the group swam ahead and quickly protruded out on the land on the other edge. What really made the yagi's day was how determined Lio was to keep him nearby, even if it meant slowing down to stay by his side. So he wasn't born a Caella, he was proud to be a yagi now... he could be helpful and reliable in other ways. Just like the performance to come.
They soon stepped onto land and took a couple more strides before finally resting and taking a breather. The horned wolf felt his tail wag furiously as if it would fall off. He knew they weren't far now. He was excited for the act, him and raynor would blow them away! He glanced at tor and smiled a giant goofy smile.
I'm so excited! I can't wait! I finally feel like I'm doing what I've always wanted to do!
He stood now and looked over towards nelio again. He approached him and batted his side playfully as he started up conversation. "So what kind of relationship do you an tawny have? I know you guys aren't mates but even though you guys look similar I'm also pretty sure you guys aren't related either...how did you guys meet? And why a circus why now?" he spoke brightly and cheerfully like the old Crow but still new in mannerisms. More informed, no longer lost in what he used to be. Not as dense yet not as quick to the draw with his thoughts. [/scrolly] |

If you want the following events changed just let me know and I can modify the post, just wanted a regal and marking entrance for the King and Queen.
Keinvarii gave Acélan a reproachful glance, this was no way to treat any member and unnecessary taunts were not a good way to start. Sighing she supposed she would have to address the matter at a later date, Siren`s face would weigh on her guilt for awhile and she would need to confront him, he was a friend and she did not wish to lose his companionship. In turn the pack professed their loyalties and lay down their welcome for their King and Keinvarii beamed in approval, she should have know that she could depend on them all. To close the matter she let out a celebratory howl, inviting the pack to join in so that an official conclusion could be given. Their voices would ring out, and united they would join together as a pack, a family and as the heart and soul of the land.
Falling silent and letting the silence after the chorus ring out, the Queen heard the melodious haunting call of a cael, no doubt the ring leader come to announce the arrival of his circus. Getting up she shook herself out and with a mysterious smile and a twinkle in her brilliant blue eyes she said, “Come with me to the water`s edge, a surprise awaits you all for your hard work. May the rest of the day be one of merriment and joy.” With that she walked to the edge of the cliff, throwing an inviting glance to Acélan so that he might join her and then using her elemental power she commanded the stone structure to shift.
Below her the rocks loomed, mortally dangerous to a falling creature, but they did not evoke fear in her, the cliffs were her native home, she had lived with them for most of her life by the sea and this manoeuvre was one she had often used. Slowly the stone beneath her began to shift and detach itself from the rest of the cliff, hovering in the air and finally shuddering before descending under Keinvarii`s watchful gaze, lowering the Alphas to the earth that awaited them so far below. Tiny figures dotted the shore, the Circus awaiting the pack`s presence and she stood straight and proud, two stunning figures regal and firm that represented a soulful pack of noble hearts. Her gave fell upon a large Cael, marking him as the leader and as the stone touched base at the foot of the cliffs she made a graceful touch down, the stone would return to the cliff face as soon as its passengers were safely on the ground, and came to stand before Nelio.
A welcoming smile warmed her face, her pale green, white and black fur brightening the blue in her eyes. It was with a confident voice that she greeted the Circus, “Good day and many thanks for making the voyage to our lands, on behalf on my pack I thank you. During your stay you may find shelter and game in our lands for as long as you need it, I am sure you must all be tired after your travels and will wish to recuperate. I am Keinvarii, Queen of the Accord and this is Acélan, my mate and its King.” She dipped her head in a more formal address, offering her gratitude for their efforts.

[scrolly:h(370), w(340),sy] The days had been long and hard, and the change from the warm weather of the cove to the cold winter of the east had taken its toll on her. She was weak and beyond exhausted, though still fought for her right to stand tall and proud beside this group as its second in command, as its organizer. Her Hallucination control had improved, as she had practiced quite a bit beforehand and along the way, but it drained most of her energy half the time. She had managed, though, and she pressed on despite the harrowing effects nature was having on her. She would make it though, because she refused to go down in her weakest state. This was not the farthest she had ever traveled. She had walked quite a long ways before she had ever joined the Clan, and it had been worse than this. Even with the added effect of her powers, it still couldn't compare close.
Tawny was grateful to Crow for how he had watched over her throughout the few days travel. She didn't know him well, but he seemed rather decent, all things considered. He held some amount of respect from her, but would probably never hold a place in her heart as Nelio did. The Cael seemed to be the only one to have a place in her heart to begin with. There were things she had told him that she had never considered telling Jade. Her own blood related sister meant less to her than Nelio did, and as painful as that sounded, it was true. Jade was long gone, dead more or less, and Nelio had long taken her place. It was painful to be the only remaining survivor of her bloodline, but her closest friend had sprung up in its wake. She was glad to have met him when she did, and the plans they made for this Circus were the only thing she hoped to succeed.
At some point along the way, she found Nelio staring at her and she returned the gaze steadily. She had physically returned to her normal health status in the past few days. Exhausted, but slowly and surely her health had returned. The fish bothered her, but they were beginning to become more of a second thought at the moment. She just prayed that the Hallucinations would obey her while the performances went on. His smile comforted her and she smiled back. While it was weak, she still tried, but her worry was eating away at her. When they crossed the borders of the Accord's lands, this feeling only intensified and she felt her dark colored pelt bristle with nervousness. At the water's edge, she waited silently as Nelio released a howl into the sky, making the pack aware of their presence.
When the howl was all said and done, she felt her excitement bubble in her blood and there wasn't much she could do to contain it. While the others entered the water at a simple pace, she bolted past them and leaped off one of the rocks jutting out at the edge. Transforming in midair, she dove deep into the murky water, the three hot pink fish above her head providing some light. Propelling herself back up, she cast everyone else a playful glance. "Come on, then! We haven't got all day to waste." With that, she turned herself about and pushed herself through the water excitedly. She figured she might as well seem like she was ready for the performance for anyone else who was nervous, despite the fact that she felt as though her insides were about to jump out her throat on her.
She pulled herself out on the other side and shook her pelt out, freeing it of water droplets and allowing her tail to return into her body. She watched the rest do the same as she did and Nelio take his place closest to where the pack would descend. She could feel everyone's nerves taking effect, considering this was the first act they would have. She smiled at Nelio when he glanced back at everyone, then curiosity glinted in her gaze at Crow's conversation to him. She glanced to everyone. "Don't be nervous, everyone. This is only the first act. I have seen you all perform before and you will do exceedingly well. I trust my judgement in this. I will remain more behind the scenes, acting out my Hallucinations during your acts. Go about your acts as though what you see isn't there. You only see it, not feet it. This is only to make the appeal greater." That was all the comfort she could offer, and even then she wasn't great at it.
Tawny then padded up to Lio, pressing her side to his, her brown fur bristling with excitement. The emotion matched in her eyes, though in her eyes there was extreme fear mixed with it. She was afraid she would fail, but she knew she wouldn't be the limelight. That was comfort in itself for her, and now she would just need to pretend that the fish weren't there, even though she was sure that would be the first thing everyone stared at. "This is it, Lio..." She murmured to him, feeling her legs tremble at the very thought. Her confidence built little by little. "This will succeed. Your dream will happen here, today." She smiled at the thought, glad they had reached this point. This was what they had aimed for, even though their first attempt had failed. The second attempt would not, and she would be sure of it.
She stood tall and proud when the pack descended to where they were. The female, whom she assumed was a Lupus and the pack's leader, spoke first. Tawny did not return her smile, however, as she did with all people who were strangers to her. Though, she managed a kind nod, something of normality to her. Keinvarii...not a name she had heard before, but beautiful nonetheless. She kept her eye out for Raynor, but did not see him. She waited for Nelio to speak first, as she knew he would do so, and she would not stop him. He was the Ringleader after all. Only then did she take her turn. "A pleasure, Keinvarii. I am Tawny, the Circus's Organizer. Thank you for your hospitality in the matter." She paused a moment, attempting to be more hospitable herself. She forced a smile onto her face, though it appeared natural. "Strangers we may be to this land, but I'm afraid we must kidnap Raynor from you for awhile." She chuckled lightly.

"Speaking"
The journey was something that was more difficult than she had expected. And for one that was more use to swimming than walking, it made things even more hard. However, although the trip was difficult and dangerous, she had seen many beautiful sites. There was the incredible mountains that she had only gone near once and had met two very good wolves. They had then gone by pack lands, the Children's pack land was one that she nearly became a part of as she was close to joining that pack, but glad that she had not. For she wouldn't be apart of this and would not have met Nelio if she had. There was animals that she had never seen and plants that spiked her curiosity. The trip was well worth the pain, for the new surroundings for a couple of tired paws.
Dreamith felt comfortable traveling along beside Nelio. And not only because Nelio was her mate and all but because although Tor was also traveling close to him as well, the small gesture that she had done to Dreamith was one the she felt cleared the air a little bit and made her feel lighter. She knew that Nelio would not be stolen from her and Dreamith would not steal him from others. Though she was still protective of him and everything. And although they were very very far away from their kind of home, she felt that she was still in home just because she still had Nelio. She missed the water and the sandy beach, but as long as she had the love of her life, everything was just fine. Dreamith sighed out contently at the all the thoughts of this. Nelio was really something beyond her wildest dreams. Yes, she didn't want a Cael that would show her what she already knew. And that was why Nelio was just perfect.
When the team had arrived onto the Accord pack lands, she was indeed thankful. She was tired and worn, but her nervousness and excitement made up for it and even ten fold of that. Doubts of her succeeding in her performance still gnawed on her mind but she did her best to push those thoughts away with positive ones. Dreamith had groomed herself so that her white fur was white as snow and glittered as it did naturally, her black paws had also cleaned off so that they looked more polished like, and of course her blue/back end was also groomed properly (and not just for the audience either). Dreamith drank water often so that her voice would have less of a chance of cracking at any time during the whole show. She was well ready and of course had all the mixed feelings, especially from never have preforming before. Dreamith tried not to think about how big this pack might be or how many members may be attending.
Dreamith listened to Tawny who she had gained must trust and respect for during the trip. Truth be told, she was extremely excited to see Tawny's hallucinations dance to the performance and Dreamith's music. After all, how many Caella got to sing throughout all performances and get her own performance and get to watch Tawny's magic. She had never seen a wolf be able to produce such things. And although Dreamith had seen on the first day she had met Tawny, when she was tired and worn and in pretty bad shape, she still saw the 'magic' as being a blessing. Dreamith didn't directly believe in the Great Spirit (For she has actually heard very little about such a figure), but she did believe in blessings, curses and so forth. After all, she was the same species as Tawny, Ceal, and yet she did not have the power to create hallucinations. And so it was reasonable that Dreamith would think of Tawny as having magic, or a power that seemed to take a lot out of her.
Dreamith did her best to calm herself and look more like a professionally, even though she was far from it in this field. Although her heart was beating in her chest as fast as a rabbit, her face looked calm and and a nice cool smile on it. She sat down on the ground, only to rest for at least a moment. She felt stiff and a bit tired but she also felt like she had accomplished much from having to complete the trek. Her body was extremely happy to have a quick rest before she would have to stand again and walk once more. Dreamith stayed sitting when a member of the Accord no doubt and come up to the group and began to speak to them. She then heard that the member was indeed the Queen. Dreamith was excited to meet another pack's alpha or Queen without being attacked or anything. She kept her calm face on. She then heard Tawny speak, a name in fact, someone named Raynor. Dreamith did not recognize this name but then again, she had only met the circus members once Nelio had all called them to start the travel. This no doubt could be the same kind of situation, someone that had probably help the circus be able to get a performance with this pack.

"Speaking" They were here, the circus and his friends were here at last, and ready to perform to all his pack mates, his family. He chuckled as Stone and Acelan took the fats way down, but he himself grinned and barked out happily to the rest of the pack members gathered: "Come one, come all, the circus has arrived!" He bounded off handsomely, his muscles bunching and rippling as he sprinted down the cliff. Since it was much easier going down then up, he wasn't too much out of breath when he arrived at the bottom.
Nelio, Tawny, Crow, Dreamith, Tor... They were all there, and he nodded to each in turn. He waited for Stone and the new king to speak their turn before he himself spoke. He chuckled in a deep voice at Tawny's witty remark about kidnapping, and winked at Stone and the king: "I assure you, I will be leaving and performing by my own will. It's good to see you all, and I'm glad you made it all safely. I have located some dens on the island for those who wish for some solitude and rest, and there are also dens near the Lake. Welcome friends!" He stated, smiling to all.
He nodded proudly at Crow: The Yagi had become much more confident in himself during the past few months, and looked healthier and stronger too. Raynor was proud of his pack, and of his home: It showed in the way he stood tall, and in the twinkle, if one looked close enough, that shone in his golden eyes. He walked over to join his group; it would reassure the more shy accord members that these wolves weren't strangers, and he wanted to show his circus friends that he supported them all.
He sat beside Crow, winking at the large Yagi.

-----
No words could ever explain her immense relief as her silver eyes fell upon the majestic sight of the great lake of the Accord. The journey had been quite tough, especially for Tortoiseshell as she had never really left the Cove. Her stubborn personality and Nelio were the important things that drove her to continue the hard journey, and their presence forced her to refuse to give up at times when all she wanted to do was to flop down on the ground and snore. Leaving the cove was difficult as she knew there wouldn't be any sea during their travelling until they reach the lake. Not just that; leaving her home was terrifying and she was extremely relieved to have Leo nearby as, with a pang of regret, Crow didn't give her the same comfort anymore. Everything was too much for her after they left the cove. The sights, the scents, and the tastes were too new for her and she almost felt like turning back. But they were nothing compared to the enormous towering rocks they call mountains. In their shadow, Tor felt tiny and insignificant and this frightened her. But Leo's steadfast presence was enough to stop her from succumbing to her fear of being unimportant. Despite their awesome appearance, Tor was greatly relieved when she left the mountainous landscape and then, finally, they reached the lake. Her perseverance surprised her and, at that thought, she gave herself a wide smile. Tor wasn't young and inexperienced anymore. She had finally grown out of an awkward innocent girl into a fine young woman.
She stumbled slightly, still feeling useless on ground, towards the lapping waves of the lake. Her throat felt parched even though she drank often and her paws felt cracked and dry; she knew she needed to be in water soon. It had been ages, it felt like years, since she felt water rushing over the scales of her flippers and tail but she knew she wouldn't have to wait for long. Tor would have to allow Nelio to announce their arrival and it was then when they can approach the cliff. Squinting her eyes against the sun, she could spot tiny figures on top of the cliff and, suddenly, she felt excitement and apprehension rushing inside her. Would she be okay? Would her performance, despite not practicing beforehand, be good? Her silver eyes spotted Leo entering water and she joined him hastily. Her quickness didn't give her the grace of a cael; she stumbled several times before finally feeling water splashing around her ankles.
For Tortoiseshell, the transformation was a such wonderful sensation after being deprived of it for a such long time. The sudden coolness of the lake was very refreshing but, unfortunately, it didn't last very long as she was a quick swimmer. Wrinkling her muzzle, her flippers touched dry land and water started to drip off them. With wind blowing at them, she knew all of the Circus caella would dry quicker and soon all of their legs would be back. She gave Crow a quick and nervous glance, giggling weakly at his great smile as she felt him in her mind: "I'm so excited! I can't wait! I finally feel like I'm doing what I've always wanted to do!" If only she felt the same; the young cael felt quite out of the place and incredibly nervous. She wouldn't be surprised if Tawny approach her after her performance to tell her that the Circus wouldn't need her anymore.
She tilted her head skywards and scrambled backwards rapidly as she saw a piece of a rock descending towards them. It took a second for her to notice the two silhouettes on top of the rock. They must be the two alphas of the Centena Accord. Both wolves were huge compared to the petite female and their size impressed her greatly. Both of them were also equally striking with their eyes; the female had deep blue eyes whereas the male had extremely pale blue eyes. She found herself staring at them, with her ears flattened against her delicate skull before looking around to meet either Leo or Crow's eyes, asking for translation.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=00c5cd] As with all things, Lio was eternally surprised with the changes he saw within each of his members. He knew that for many of the females he was their sturdiness, their rock and their support. It was a weight that he gladly carried for them, not only out of his seemingly selfish desire to make the Circus work, but he knew that deep within his heart the traveling, and performing would make them all stronger physically and mentally. He also knew that by socializing it would give each of the members a way to make more friends, that should they ever be flushed out of the Cove as he had been from his early puphood home, they would have options and places to go. Each member was important to him, and he was honestly surprised that he liked the only Yagi in their group as much as he did. He trusted him that in a bind Crow would come forward and use the muscles and horns and agility and grace he had gained since their first meeting for the betterment of the group. He could see the Yagi’s curiosity about Tawny but he himself felt uncomfortable about just how close he felt for her and so he cleverly attempted to avoid talking about it or being alone with the male in scenarios where he might be able to ask.
To see how excited some of his members were just made his heart sing, and he felt a mixture of anticipation and excitement as well as nervousness take over as his own body wriggled and wagged as he attempted to dry himself off, though he knew he would soon like many others be getting wet sooner rather than later. When Crow came up and butted him he smirked and lightly leaned against the Yagi as though he would a brother. He had no problem talking with the Yagi as they waited for the other wolves from the Accord to arrive. When he asked about Tawny Nelio shifted his eyes slightly…he really didn’t know how to answer Crow about what relationship they had because he didn’t know….in reality a small voice in the back of his head told him that he was falling in love with Tawny and had been for a long time, perhaps since the first time he had met her. But outwardly his mind tried to cover up that voice and he said simply, “I appreciate and care about her, she is working very hard to make this come together, and I don’t want to see anything ever happen to her…” His voice had taken on a very possessive tone and although he didn’t realize it, he had essentially captured and taken on every female in their small group.
“We met in the Cove, we used to be members of an old pack that resided in the Swamp. When the pack dissolved it would seem we both headed for the Cove and when I met her I told her about my idea for a group of performing wolves and she was very interested and decided to help me. This was something I wanted more than to be a part of pack, to be able to travel and never be stagnant in one place, to see the wonders of the world and to be able to meet different wolves….Could you see yourself being in one place for a long time Crow?” Deciding to change the topic off him and Tawny he asked, “What is up with you and Tor?” His eyes watched the Yagi carefully for his reaction when he asked so he knew if it was a territory that would be off limits of if the other male would answer him honestly, and if he trusted him as though they were family. Because at this point Nelio saw the Circus as one big family, for all that they had been through it was important to see each other that way.
His eyes watched as a large piece of stone lowered itself from the high cliffs around them, and his eyes twinkled as he watched a grouping of wolves come off the rock, and gestured for his own group to come to stand closer to him as a united group. When the rock proceeded to ascend back to its place, his eyes watched it before turning that intense silver gaze on the female who was standing before him. His head lowered slightly, but not enough to show submission, simply manners as he saw her friendly smile he returned it with a charming one of his own. “It is an honor to meet you Keinvarii, and Acelan, Queen and King of the Accord. I am Nelio, Ringleader to the Circus. I am eternally grateful to be able to enjoy not only your land and game, but also the chance to perform for your pack. You have the honor of being our first stop, and I hope to give you the best performance possible. I believe we have rested just before our arrival enough to where we will be able to perform for you now and rest later.” His eyes remained on them for a moment before turning to Tawny, and they immediately softened as he watched her. He knew the journey had been hard on her in particular with the onset of her powers, and he had appreciated Crow caring for her, but at the same time he stood a watchful eye on her to make sure they didn’t get too close…although he didn’t know why it would bother him so.
He knew that Tawny like many of the others was nervous about the performance and making sure things worked appropriately and as they should but as far as he could see she was putting on an excellent front for the others. She moved confidently and portrayed herself as being excited without the nerves, and he knew that that little performance would help them all along the way. When she came close to brush her pelt against his, his mind fired off like electricity and he made a small sound of pleasure against her. He turned to push his head under her own and whispered back, “I am so excited for this to happen Tawny, and you have helped make it happen..how can I ever say thank you..?” It was then he listened to her speak after he had spoken and smiled over at her genuinely. Breaking the tension with a piece of humor was a very good tactic and he nodded gently to her, appreciating her easing any tension that may have mounted during their opening speeches. He turned his eyes to Dreamith and he saw his white and black pelted beauty sitting near the back. She had a friendly smile on her face and he knew she was tired, but excited at the same time and he wagged his tail looking at her. Their act would be interesting indeed and he felt a flush of emotion and nervousness filtering through his veins as his heart began to thud.
When Raynor arrived he smiled and nodded, his tail wagging intensely, “Its wonderful to finally see you again Raynor, you look wonderful, fit and ready to perform! I thank you just as I do your alphas for providing us with dens we can use while we stay, your hospitality and that of your pack is truly something we can all be thankful for.” He watched as Raynor stood proudly with his pack members, and he could see now why Raynor had loyalties to his own pack, yet he had done nothing to make Nelio trust him less so far. He had practiced and knew the other members and it was obvious that he and Crow had grown very close and so for that Lio was grateful and content to have him as a member. His eyes finally found Tor and his smile softened so much when he looked at her, she had truly amazed him, she had overcome everything even her own “handicap” to travel with him, and more than once he slowed down to stick by her side and brush his pelt along hers to know that she would never be forgotten. Right now as he looked at her he could see the subtle changes that marked her as a grown female now. Just as Dreamith had transformed into something wild and beautiful, so too had Tor transformed during their journey and Lio had no problem admiring the results.
He saw her frightened visage and removed himself slightly from the others to come close and push himself against her. His nose snuffled into her neck slightly to let him know that he was close, and that he would protect her was obvious. ‘It’s okay Tor, they are the alphas as you might have guessed…they said: ‘“Good day and many thanks for making the voyage to our lands, on behalf on my pack I thank you. During your stay you may find shelter and game in our lands for as long as you need it, I am sure you must all be tired after your travels and will wish to recuperate. I am Keinvarii, Queen of the Accord and this is Acélan, my mate and its King.”’, Tawny has also introduced herself and made a joke about ‘kidnapping’ Raynor..” He chuckled mentally and also relayed his own comments so that she would have full comprehension of what was going on. ‘I am going to be starting things now, and I believe Crow and Raynor will be going first…then myself and Dreamith, and then you and Crow…Are you ready?’ He remained close, and kept eye contact with her as they spoke mentally. When they were finished he stepped back up to the front of the group and spoke in a voice that was pure magic and beauty in sound…
“Wolves of the Accord! I am Nelio, Ring Leader for the Traveling Circus! We are honored to be welcomed to your lands, and with this honor we shall perform for you! We have acts of tremendous beauty, agility, and courage! Our first performers will be familiar to you, Raynor will be joined by our Yagi member Crow! It will be for your pleasure that I will step aside and let them begin their act!” With that he backed up and gestured for the two to take the space they needed be it land or water and begin with the performance. A gentle, encouraging smile on his muzzle as he stepped closer to Tor and Dreamith, not knowing if Tawny’s hallucinations would be a part of this act or if she would come to sit with him as well. So far things were moving very smoothly and he was content to watch the fruits of everyone’s labor until it was his turn to perform and entertain their audience. | |

The large yagi nodded in agreement to Raynor. They would be first and it would be an act of courage, action and maybe a bit of comedy here and there. After all, if you couldn't laugh at yourself, how could you have a good time? Crow was always one to laugh at jokes even directed at himself, so this would be no different... he was just glad he practiced beforehand to ensure he did not crack up or break character while performing. He worried a bit for Tor as they had not really gone into what exactly their act would be composed of... he originally imagined a romantic comedy. But knowing she did not feel that way stirred an odd feeling inside the purebred. He would have to talk to her thoroughly while Nelio and his mate performed.
Crow was turning to translate for Tor, but when he saw her, Nelio had already made eye contact and he sighed inwardly but quickly shrugged it off. So his best friend was possibly not his closest friend anymore. Everyone hit nicks and bumps in the paths they took. That's what made friends closer.... right? You're supposed to feel this way, supposed to hurt and then make amends and be closer than ever, right? He half asked himself and peered at the pale colored female, hoping for a moment that she had not caught his comment. Surely she would be too distracted by Lio's explanation and translation? Either way, he quickly averted his gaze... trying not to blush as attention was brought to him by said Ringleader.
"It must be nice to feel for someone in that way..." he muttered fondling his forepaws in the dirt, it shifted easily under his weight. The explanation for his next question was more than inspiring for the male yagi. Again the Cael changed gears and added his own thoughts and questions. Crow, stay in one place? He never really thought about it... "Maybe not now, but I had stayed at the cove and made a den there for awhile and would call it home. I suppose if I ever find someone special, after seeing all the packs and places we go, I would come back for her and reside with her wherever she wants to go." If being the big word since he felt him and Tor were barely acquainted now. That also unexpectedly brought Tor into the conversation and talking about her with her literally feet away felt like a crime to the Yagi, just because of the simple fact she could not hear them...
"Me and Tor?" His tail sunk and his eyes widened, Crow's ears folding back in fear of what she thought of him now and what others might think of him, especially Lio. His face reddening like a berry. He sheepishly replied as he looked at the ground again and pawed at the dirt nervously. "Uhm..." he cleared his throat. "I don't want either of us to get hurt, so I gave her some space... since we had... a, uh... disagreement you could say. I'd rather not talk about it...I'm afraid she may still be mad at me..." what the usually cheerful Yagi did not know was it was quite the opposite for said Cael. They were both confused and scared, alone almost. He really hoped they could close the gap and be closer again. But then, he would be afraid... what was too close and what wasn't even close at all? He added in lastly before glancing warily at her with a bit of benign envy. "I just want her to be happy, no matter how it happens or who does it... and if I made her upset, then I feel even worse about it."
His posture quickly changed as an all too familiar face greeted him. The dark colored Cael friend he had missed greeted him with open friendliness. He winked towards crow and the yagi couldn't help but swell with new found pride about his strong friend who he had confided in and learned from. They would be performing first and they were more than ready! He stood and took a playful pose a pup would as he batted at Raynor. "You oaf you! You thought you could hide from us didn't ya? Heh, ready to blow your pack mates away with our awesome performance?!" Crow added in with a smug look and a playful and almost possessive growl.
The large yagi traveled a couple feet near the waters edge where a couple of shrubs, trees and a jutting rock came a foot off the ground. It was the perfect place to start. He stood and peered at all the other wolves watching, his heart swelled with joy and a bit of stage fright... but that was just enough to keep him going. Crow looked over to Raynor as he announced to them to inform them of the details.
"The stage is set in a lone distant and recently formed pack by the name of Favour Stauts, the founders easily found the lush and open land unclaimed and against their differences... formed this pack." Crow worked his way a top the rock from behind a bush. He stood proud as he looked down at Raynor, almost scrutinizingly. "They all equally controlled the land together, but eventually as time passed and the land grew in spirit and members, decisions became harder to manage when all of them were not present. So they held a competition and the overall winner that was voted by the most members would become the alpha." He paused to smirk at the pack wolves as they watched, then he continued, a dark look on his face. "Count Voldar insisted he was the strongest and that he deserved the position without votes. Though the other founders insisted. So they battled and Voldar won with brute strength but lost in popularity, the pack deeming him power hungry. He then attempted to take the pack by force, and the rest of the founders and the pack ran him out of the territory. The head of the revolt-Raynor (let me know if you wish to have a made up name or if raynor is fine as it is kas xD) became the Alpha of the Favour Stauts. Now the Count is going to come back, and he plans to take back what he believes is rightfully his!" he looked back at Raynor for a moment to allow him to added anything in before he finished and the act began. When it seemed they were informed and ready, he leaped from the jutting stone as he trotted to hide in some bushes across from the rock. "Please sit back, and enjoy the show!"
Crow awaited for Raynor to make his move and intro before he would move from hiding. Everything was going smoothly as planned so far. He would prove the pack that he was a great performer and give his family a good name.[/scrolly] |
