Lydia snuggled closer, her eyes drifting closed as she listened to the male. She could feel him shiver next to her and she couldn't help letting out a small giggle. It was such silly story really. "Poor Obi, getting bested by a dead jackalope," she murmured, running her tongue up his cheek to make him feel better. She then laid her head on her paws, sighing contentedly as his head soon found its way atop her own.
When finally his story ended, she smiled softly. "Well I'm glad you got it out. I don't think a nose piercing would suite your hansom face. And I'll be sure to stay away from jackalope carcasses. They sound much more frightening than the living ones." Again she giggled, shifting slightly to curl her tails around her body. The compliment had slipped out accidentally, but for now she didn't let it get to her. Obi was indeed hansom. If she hadn't thought so to begin with, Lydia would not have been snuggled so closely against him right then.

"Hey!" Obi softly protested but said no more at her comment. He was too happy from Lydia's soft lick to worry about much else. He smelled in Lydia's sent with a happy breathe.
He chuckled softly at Lydia's words, his chest and throat rumbling. He was definitly getting older. Obi was never this mature when he was two, nor was he able to chuckle in such a deep voice.
"But it did teach me an important lesson that day, other then jackalope carcasses are evil." He started to say a life lesson thing again then changed his mind. "That they suck."
He gently ran his tongue between her ears before closing his eyes to breath in her scent again. "Tell me story, about anything, Lydia. I don't care if it's about you or something made up, I just want to heear your voice. Please."
For once in his life, Obi was tired of hearing himself talk.

"Obviously." Her reply was broken by a yawn, tongue sneaking out to moisten her lips before she settled back down again. Now that she was comfortable she hadn't realized how tired she really was. The soothing caress of Obi's kiss only made her more content as her eyes drifted closed. Her mind was on autopilot as she complied to his request, not really paying all that much to what she was saying for once.
"I've been on my own for the last year," she mumbled with a soft sigh. "Traveling is... interesting, exciting. Guess I never really stayed in one place for very long." Another yawn fractured her speech. Had she been more awake, more alert, she would have realized she was slipping into a story of her past. It was one of the nicer parts, yes, but it still wasn't the sort of thing she willingly told people about herself. Her past was private, something she only dwelled on when the fancy struck her (which wasn't often). To so easily talk about it now was a little surreal.
"Anyway, at one point I met this Keiyou. She had these three little pups with her. They were adorable the way the bounced around, trying their hardest to fly..." Lydia's voice trailed off, her train of thought terminating prematurely. She was just so tired, and so warm. Obi was so comfortable. Subconsciously she snuggled closer to him, only half aware of her surroundings.

Obi sighed a happy, tired, sigh. He moved his legs to make it easier for Lydia to snuggle closer. He rested his head gently on hers again, finding a perfect place on her forehead.
He was even happier when she talked a bit about herself in a drowsy voice. His tails thumped once or twice before he closed his eyes again.
"That sounds...very cute." He yawned quietly and twitched a bit more before settling to sleep. He would enjoy her scent for the rest of the night.
