He was simply too bored with the topic to deem replying to it any further and decided to ignore the last statement. As it were it was he belief that anyone given formal training could certainly fend for themselves no matter their size, without some training he would not have the deemed proper discipline to be such a calculated fighter, or as he preferred organized soldier. So he merely watched as she talked without uttering a single word.
He had yet to meet an individual with such a thick and impenetrable head and he figured he would have to plan out a strategy for their next encounter as it was never good to face anyone without a plan. He could not help thinking to himself that this conversation wasn’t much leading to anywhere, as being told not to judge but then being told judging was inevitable simply did not make much sense to his logical mind. And frankly he was not sure if he cared to know more about this innervating wolf then he absolutely had to at the present time though it was not entirely displeasing to be matched with an individual whom did not cower as easily as many.
As he mused he lightly dug into the earth with his thick talons, tail swishing to and fro and ears twitching lightly. How amusing that he should be deemed afraid to loose, he had never considered him self as being an individual prone to fear. Whether it was a mission rated with a high level of success or one predicted as a failure he never turned away from what was his duty; and fighting this pest was not one of those duties. Satisfied with his own reasoning he supposed he should respond.
“Fear was never an issue, nor will it ever be one.” His voice was quiet but held a deadly cold edge to it as he did not enjoy having his integrity or ethics questioned. “If I choose not to fight then it is simply because now is neither the time, nor the place for such sparring. However, if you ever are level headed again then I would welcome a logical challenge as I should like to see you put actions to your words. There is not the need to apologize for such petty squabbles, I do not seek one nor do I offer one as what is done is done and meaningless words on our part will not erase that.” He nodded his head at her warning, black fur ruffling slowly in the breeze. “That is as fair warning as I should warrant, and we shall see what future encounters deliver. On regular circumstances such a demonstration on my part would not have occurred, but this is not one of those circumstances it would seem.” He had naught much else to say and the day was growing later with much left to do. “If you have nothing else to add then I shall bid you good day and take my leave.” There was a river at the bottom of the Canyon and Valkyrie was aiming to explore it and find a suitable cavern in the recluse of the gorge for his den. It would be inaccessible for anyone without wings which was much how he preferred it. Valkyrie turned and prepared for flight as he opened his great black wings and swished his tail for added balance; however he left his head turned to see if she had anything else to add. In the lighting on the sun he was once again briefly struck by her looks and her unique features. It was regrettable that he could barely tolerate her presence. [/scrolly]

The tournaments were soon and she would need to leave in order to make them in time. This conversation was going nowhere, as she was sure he would never see things the way she did and or vice versa. It didn't bother her one bit that she didn't see things his way and, at the moment, her goal was to simply make him be a little more carefree about life. After all, one could not live a life so uptight and wound over every little thing.
She was the carefree and happy one, but her gamma challenges were very soon and it was the one reason she had been on edge the entire time during her meeting with the male. She knew that being as happy and as carefree as she was would not help her obtain a gamma position. For once in her life she would need to become serious, vicious even, and she knew that she could lose her friendly relationship with Lyta if she did the wrong thing. Lyta wouldn't like it if she used her wings against her and, from what she had heard, Lyra had gotten hurt, so there was a chance she could win. She wanted to win so badly, though there were only so many things she could do to ensure that.
She listened further to his words in silence, not wishing to say anymore. She had given up on him, knowing there was no hope the idiot would listen to reason. In her mind it was reason, but it might not have been to him. She honestly wanted to know more about him, other than his good looks and hard to deal with personality. Sandra snorted at his words and growled as he faced to go off the edge of the canyon, apparently looking to go down it. "You said you were a future member. If you are not yet a member of the pack, then stay out of the canyon." Her words were still sharp and mean, but she meant what she had said, determined to make sure the pack would suffer no harm from this male.
Sandralina's ears twitched when she heard Rhiannon's call and looked off in the direction it had come from. She smiled brightly, tail feather flaying in and out. Estoni squealed in the back of her mind, knowing that it was finally time for them to fight. It was her challenge, the gamma fights. The seven year old myou was prepared to defeat the other two and obtain a gamma position. Without looking at him, she said, "I have to go. It's time for the gamma challenge. I hope you know that, if I win, then you have to answer to me, as all subordinates must answer to the higher ranks." Her smile was now smug as she spread her wings and thrust them down once, shooting herself off the ground and into the sky with amazing speed. She flapped them once more, straightening out her body and gliding to where Rhiannon was waiting.
