[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=ff0000]I shouldn't be able to do that. That was Lyta's first thought when she saw the rabbit lying dead in front of her. Her second thought was mostly the same, but differently worded. The creature had burst out of the bushes and headed towards the river. Lyta had been startled as the leaves exploded in her face. She knew of no wolf who could have possibly reacted as fast as she had just done. She had seen her own paw shoot out at what should not have been a possible speed. She had seen the world seem to slow down around her, and then return to normal all of a sudden, leaving her feeling light-headed and confused. She frowned. Lyta knew she had always had sharp reflexes; she had trained them for years and was proud of them. She knew they were a strength in a fight or hunt, and loved to show them off. But what had just happened had left her completely and utterly confounded. It shouldn't have been possible. But the scary thing was... it had happened. She flicked her tail, ignoring the rabbit- she didn't even think of eating it- and broke into a sudden, jerking run. She reached a small cave and squeezed herself into it. The space was comforting; with such a small area she could have her back to the wall. Sure, she didn't think she'd actually need her back to the wall, but she hadn't thought she could do that this morning. The world and its rules had suddenly betrayed her, leaving her confused and wondering if it had been lying to her all her life about what was real and what wasn't, what was possible and what wasn't.

Kora had spent the day meandering aimlessly on the outskirts of the canyon. Her paws ached from the continual onslaught of rough stones and she stopped to rest amongst the Sun's falling light, carefully weaving it around herself to hide her presence. She wasn't up to being found. Her frail body wouldn't stand up to a fight and she never enjoyed granting wishes. So when the sweet little Lyxxus came into review Kora resisted the urge to speak and instead rested her aching paws. There was time enough for games when her appendages didn't ache so fiercely. Diverting her attention elsewhere siphoned some energy from the nearby bushes. It was always nice to have a little snack.
The bushes rustling drew her attention back towards the Lyxxus. Her peripherals caught the flash of movement as the rabbit flopped over dead and she focused with renewed interest on the Lyxxus. Something odd happened here. Kora rose and started padding towards the frozen wolf. The Lyxxus’ own startlement pointed Kora’s train of thought. The Great Spirit had gifted another child. She ignored the ache in her paws and followed after the fleeing Lyxxus. This could be fun.
Kora paused outside the Lyxxus’ tiny cave. She’d have to be careful, she wasn’t sure what power this one had just gained and a lack of knowledge could be dangerous. Still there was no way she could pass up such an opportunity. Double checking to make sure she was down wind and invisible beneath her bent light waves she took a breath and gently spoke. “What’s wrong dear one?” She concentrated the light around the cave’s opening, causing it to emit a soft glow. “Do you not like your present?”

The barn swallow myou stared in amazement at the spot Lyta had just been standing in, shocked beyond everything at what she had just done. She knew the young lyxxus was fast, but she didn't realize she was that fast. Then, it hit the seven year old wolf: the Great Spirit had given her a power, an invaluable one. A time warp power. Sandralina had only ever seen that power once before and it belonged to her mother. Because of that, she had studied the power extensively, but found it hurt the user more than helped the user until the user learned how to use it.
Snapping out of her thoughts, Sandralina noticed a loner wolf, one she didn't recognize, moving after Lyta. Did she plan to attack her comrade? She certainly hoped not! If she did, Sandra would have no problem ripping this loner Lumen to shreds! Her fur bristled and her feathers ruffled when she thought of Lyta getting hurt. Being a barn swallow myou, Sandra was lucky to have been gifted with a swallow's wings. What made it even better was the fact that she had been gifted with a swallow's tail too, which made her speed a lot better than that of other flying myou and keiyou.
Sandralina, with one thrust of her wings, pushed off into the air and dove across the gap of the canyon with incredible speed. She managed to make it in front of the loner just in time to hear her questions. She landed in front of her, snapping angrily at her to get her to back up, and took a defensive position in front of the cave entrance. Her wings and tail were spread, fur bristled and feathers still ruffled. Her fangs were bared and her talons dug at the ground, itching to get this loner off the lands. She held her self back, though. If the loner had no intention of attack them, then she would ask her to leave. If she had every intention of attacking them, then that would be a completely different story.
"Who are you, loner? If you have no business here, I suggest you get off our lands and leave Lyta alone!" The angered tone was evident in Sandralina's voice. She had no intention of letting this wolf harm her packmate and her stance certainly showed it. She wondered what this loner was doing here and would give her the chance to explain herself before Sandra decided if she was dangerous or not. That didn't matter though, because Sandra believed Rhia wouldn't be the happiest alphess out there if she found out there was a stranger on the territory.

Vereine Talks , Vereine Thinks |
, Dupre Thinks A yawn erupted from the male’s mouth, lids drooping lazily and his tail practically lifeless. Life so far within the Cadre pack had been quite boring. He did meet that one fellow, but that was another story on its own. Giving a quick stretch, he tried to wake himself up a little seeing that it was far too early to be fall asleep. He didn’t even bother to take a nap anymore; he knew the devil living inside his head would give him no peace. A faint snickering sound echoed in the back of his thoughts, making he let out a soft chuckle followed by a loud sigh. He should have known finally settling down for a permanent pack wouldn’t have been as adventurous as before, but he needed to lay low for a while.
Dupre had caused quite the ruckus before he had joined the pack, hopefully losing the loner status would make him stand out less. Though, of course it was practically impossible for the second soul to behave, and Vereine knew that he’d eventually get kicked out. You’re turning into such a softie, Knoxie dear. Stop being such a coward and go cause some trouble, won’t you. I grow wary of this ‘sit around and do nothing’ business… The black mass rolled his eyes but thought for a second. Maybe for once, the raven soul was right? Maybe he was losing that special spark and was becoming some ordinary fool. He needed to cause trouble, go start a string of lies and let some scandal break loose. Yes, that was it, he would go about and start to toy with the others and have his fun.
With a quick shake of his coat and another stretch, he began his little adventure to cause some mischief and scandal. There ya go! Let’s hope those little tricks of yours haven’t gone too rusty! Shut up, Dupre. I’m quite capable of lying, you on the other hand need to work on actually doing something productive with your life. But I am doing exactly that! Ruining your life is the most productive thing ever. The second soul’s voice was once again in its sing-song cheery tone, which annoyed the wolf to no end. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly and held back the urge to lash out at the first thing he encountered.
Continuing on his way, the very moment his nose caught the scent of others his head snapped to the side and his ears perked up right away. He paused for a moment, and took in a deep breath, consuming the scent in his lungs and trying to examine it as fully as possible. If his nose wasn’t off, they were surly female. More than one for sure and with that, a smirk began to grow across the wolf’s lips. Vereine had yet to encounter other females of his pack that wasn’t superior to him, so this was a brilliant chance to work out his charm and persuasion. Ah, it’s show time, Knoxie boy! Let’s not make any slip ups today, I’d hate for your first impression to be the moron you truly are. Slip ups? Oh what a funny joke… and piss off, I’m not a moron, unlike you.
The two had continued their silly banter with Vereine amazingly being able to keep on a straight face and not a look of death. When he caught site of the others, he had noticed three females, all engaged in their own conversation. He noticed the winged one first, causing him to be slightly self-conscious and leave his wings tucked in closely to his sides. He was never fond of the wings he had been ‘blessed’ with, finding it useless and making him look like a complete fool. With his less than muscular size, his strange raven wings didn’t prove to be of much help and made him loath them all the more. Mentally shaking his head and ridding him of those strange and idiotic thoughts, he forced his attention back to the other wolves. He had caught sight two others, one with a red pelt and another that seemed to have red eyes. Vereine quickly put on his usually façade of a calm and kind look. His usually bored senseless look would surely do no good if he were to charm someone; of course he would have to put on some act of positivity and all that happy joyful stuff that females just ate up. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes and proceeded to approach the small group. ”Good afternoon, ladies, what a coincidence for us all to cross paths here.” He kept his voice as calm and collective as possible, adding a slight bow for that typical gentlemanly affect. When he lifted his head, he put on a small warm smile, keeping up with his act. Oh Knoxie, you sly bastard…Dupre said, his voice sounding quite amused and satisfied. Yes, you need not tell me more than once. Vereine replied, sounding equally amused with himself. Kora froze her muscles as the myou landed, she refused to let her body recoil. An easy grin spread across her face as she met the enraged females gaze. Despite her relaxed appearance she was worried. What had happened to her invisibility? She broke off her control over the light waves, letting her whit coat see through. If she was already seen there was no point in wasting energy.
She cocked her head to the side and furrowed her brow in confusion as she looked over the ruffled myou. "I'm sorry if I have offended you. Though I'm not sure why you are so angry. What could I have possibly done to make you so angry." She allowed her head to lower slightly as she tried to placate the female. "I noticed the poor girl panicking. All I was trying to do was calm her. Did you see me trying to do otherwise?" Kora sighed inwardly nothing she had done so far could be proven as something harmful. There wasn't even any evidence of her intending to offer harm. Still if this started heading towards a fight she knew she wouldn't be able to hold her own, but that didn't mean she couldn't just disappear. All it took was one distracted glance from her antagonizer; the myou only had to look away from her once, and she would be gone. She wouldn't allow a recurrence of what happened earlier. She had spent decades mastering her skills over light. She would vanish if she needed to.
Another myou approached and greeted them in a rather gentlemanly way. She took a slight step back to include him in the 'circle of conversatoion' and nodded her head at him pleasantly, resisting a smile of pleasure. This was good. One more thing to distract the furious female.
Kora glanced at the male and gave her sweetest smile. "Why hello, it certainly is a lovely coincidence." She drew herself up in a coy pose that just so happened to involve edging herself a bit farther from the female.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=ff0000] Lyta span around and stared as a voice came at her. "What's wrong dear one? Do you not like your present?" Lyta's lip curled. She might not be in a terribly wonderful frame of mind right now, but her last experience with wolves who didn't smell of the Cadre had taught her just what Rhia preferred her wolves to do. "This is the Cadre's territory," the red lyxxus snapped back. "And you smell of many things, none of which are the Cadre." "Who are you, loner? If you have no business here, I suggest you get off our lands and leave Lyta alone!" That was another voice. Lyta turned around and spotted Sandralina. She'd seen her at the meeting, of course, but wasn't well acquainted with her, and was touched with the wolf leaping to her defence. For once, Lyta wasn't furious at the intrusion and desperate to defend her pride; her emotions were roiling and tumbling inside her far too much for her to be anything but grateful for any help. ”Good afternoon, ladies, what a coincidence for us all to cross paths here.” Yet another wolf? Lyta sighed. The last thing she really wanted was company. She shook her head and backed away. She was far from her usual courageous self; she was confused, and scared. She backed away slowly, shaking her head. Or at least, she meant it to be slowly. The feeling of shaky, trembling power flashed through her again, the world slowed to a snail's pace- she could hear the first wolf making excuses in slow motion, the noise meaningless to Lyta's ears- and suddenly she found herself stumbling at the back of the cave, eyes wide in fright. She was courageous; she would fight anything. But this wasn't something she could fight. Her own body was doing things she didn't understand... how they were possible, why she was able to do them. This was one of the few things she was truly terrified of.

Sandralina only became irritated further when another wolf showed up, one she recognized from the pack meeting, but kept her eyes on the Lumen. She debated for a moment, wondering what the right thing to do would be. Rhiannon wouldn't be happy should this wolf be found on the territory by her and the ones to get punished would be the subordinates who were in the loner's presence. She decided, that for now, it would be safe to be friendly and revert back to her usual self.
She allowed herself to lower her wings and have them tuck into her sides, though she kept herself watchful and alert. "Forgive me for my lack of friendliness, but Rhiannon won't be the happiest alphess if she found out you were here." She exchanged her glance to the black wolf who had approached them, offering him a bright smile. "Hello! I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but whatever. I'm Sandralina, but call me Sandra or something. As for her..."
Sandralina turned around to move out of the entrance of the small cave her comrade was in. "Lyta...come out and tell us what's going on. It's all right. Anyone tries to hurt any of my comrades and I'll rip them to shreds." Sandra cast the loner a warning glance, for she had mostly aimed the statement at her, but glanced next at the black male. Estoni giggled in the back of her mind, You can be scary sometimes, Sandry! 'Hush, Estoni. We've got bigger problems on our paws right now.' All right! Don't you mean wings? I am a bird, ya know!
Sandralina was completely uncomfortable with the loner's presence and, though the threat she made was indirect, she had meant what she had said. The seven year old was not being over confident, she was simply stating that she would do whatever it took to to keep her packmates safe. Her packmates were the one thing she would lay her life down on the line for in an instant and nothing could change it. There were only so many things the myou loved and her packmates would be along that select few.

Vereine Talks , Vereine Thinks |
, Dupre Thinks Black and white eyes flickered between each female. Apparently he had come while they were in the middle of some sort of spat. He resisted the urge to let out a quick scoff, but just the thought of females fighting amused him. They would always fight over such juvenile things; it made them look like such fools. Vereine wouldn’t mind a feisty one to toy with, but ones who would argue and start quarrels for such idiotic reasons just annoyed him ever so much. Trying to not let his expression falter, he quickly ended the thoughts and focused on something else. If he let his thoughts take over too much, it’ll surely mess with his act and let Dupre run loose. Though, it wouldn’t help with getting the second soul to shut up. As if on cue, he heard the other murmur something unintelligible.
When the one with the warm red eyes turned to him and acknowledge his presence, he gave a quick incline of his head and took a small step closer, residing not far from where she was. She had seemed kind; maybe she wasn’t the annoying female type that he had thought of earlier, making her all the more interesting. He let his gaze settle on her for a moment, examining her as much as possible, trying to gain any type of information about her. She had smelled nothing of the pack he now resided in. Though it was still foreign to him, he was positive this one wasn’t from the Cadre territory. He knew he shouldn’t be affiliated with those not of the pack, seeing as it would look bad and ruin his chance of a good reputation. His smiled slowly faded as he diverted his attention back to the other two.
Vereine watched the red one next, her actions making him want to laugh. Tch, what’s wrong with this one? She looks like a complete fool. Dupre sneered, clearly unimpressed. The raven was never fond of weakness, causing him to constantly pick on the black wolf and his physical build. Now now, Dupre. There is no need for looking down on others.
the male replied, the sarcasm in his voice quite distinctive. The second soul scoffed then fell silent. Vereine didn’t oppose the raven’s comment at all, really. The female really did look quite pathetic, stumbling about and looking as if she was the pray of some ferocious beast. He let out a soft sigh, and then put back the same warm smile from before when he turned to the winged wolf. Her voice was filled with far too much joy for Vereine’s liking but put up with it either way. He gave a quick boy of his head again, trying to act polite. ”It’s lovely to meet you Miss Sandralina,” the male replied, letting his voice remain calm and collective. ”And you as well, Madam.” he added, quickly turning to the wolf with the red eyes. He didn’t bother to speak with the wolf that continued to tremble. She seemed to be quite distracted already, he wasn't in the mood to bother with her. When the winged one glanced at him after her statement, he let out a soft chuckle. She couldn’t possibly mean us, could she? Dupre laughed, surely quite amused with her already. But she did say her comrades… And we are of her pack, are we not? the male added, mocking the winged one with the raven as well. Probably already wants us dead then, Knoxie boy! No, I think she’s just referring to you. The two continued their little conversation within Vereine’s head. This was one of the very few times the two would get along, but how could they not when the only thing they had in common was mocking people? word count ;; 633tags ;; lyta ! sandralina ! kora !ooc ;; *Flicks Vereine’s Head* pretentious prat… xDmusical inspiration ;; Think Twice – Eve 6 [/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=ff0000] Lyta gave a half-snarl, half-whimper as Sandralina called her out. She had been scared the first time it happened; now she was terrified. That male wolf was trying to chat up the other two, of all times to be flirting, she did not need him around. Then there was the annoying loner, and lastly her comrade, Sandralina. She crept out of the cave, paws unsteady on the ground. "I don't know," she answered Sandralina unsteadily. "I.... I'm not supposed to be able to move that fast. Wolves don't move that fast. The world goes all slow, and then when it comes back to normal, I find I've done something stupidly fast. And wolves just don't move that fast," she repeated, slightly hysterical and choking out her words. "What's wrong with me?" She lashed both her tails and looked at the others with pleading eyes. "What's wrong? I'm supposed to be brave. I hate not being brave. I'm scared. I don't like being scared, it's stupid and I hate it and I can't stop being it. There's something wrong with me and I have no idea how to stop it!" She retreated a few steps back into the cave, but continued to plead with her eyes. Tell me what's wrong. Make it stop. Make it stop.

Draco had tasted the blood of rabbit on the air aswell as the scents of many wolves, three from his pack and one who carried very little scent. He was proud of his newly found place in the Cadre and now he could start pretending. He would appear a kind, brave and determined packmate and show nothing of his real personality or his other personality for he had three but the first he never showed, the second always did and third, a lie. His dark, long tail dragged in the dust for it was to heavy for him to lift and his head held high, black, forked tongue flicking in and out. His small ears were pricked but catching hardly any sound. His toes and claws scraped over the stone but the skin was leathery and tough so it hardly made a mark but any who were near would easily be able to hear him or catch his scent.
He soon came near to a cave where he saw two wolves with wings, another, white with black paws and a small red one who seemed to be shaking. He approached them, head still high but he stopped his tongue flicking for the moment and called out a greeting. "Greetingss, I am Draco and may I assk your namess?" he only had a slight hiss to his words due to his tongue but more of a rasp to it. The two winged ones looked like that of his own species, myou. Where as the small and bright one he knew as lyxxus and lumen. He sat down wrapping his long, muscley tail around his paws. His red eyes scanned the terrain and sized up the other wolves, he was always ready for a fight even if that wasnt his intentions.

She didn't care much if the black one was of her pack, she hadn't met him before and she had trust issues with the those she was one new terms with. As for the loner, she was even more uncomfortable about her being there, no matter how many times she said she didn't mean to cause anyone any sort of harm. Sandralina knew better than to trust strangers.
Lyta spilled out to everyone what was wrong, how scared she was and how much she didn't know what to do. She was scared, believing something was wrong with her. Looking past her scared expression, the barn swallow myou was able to see utter fear and horror in the lyxxus's heart. In that moment, all she felt she needed to do was stretch out her wing and pull her closer, mostly for comfort. It was a habit the female had picked up over her years and she was much older than the others, minus the lumen.
It was then that Lyta finished when a stranger approached them, carrying the smell of the Cadre. 'Another one? How many strangers am I going to meet today?' Sandralina thought bitterly, her only goal being to help Lyta and keep her out of danger. Don't be so mean, Sandry! He's another packmate! Estoni scolded in her high pitched voice in the back of her mind. Sandralina rolled her eyes at her second soul and looked at the male, who seemed to have lizard like qualities. Not quite alligator, but not quite completely lizard.
"Welcome, Draco. I am Sandralina. As for the others, I'll leave them to introduce themselves." Slowly, she turned her head back to Lyta and placed her soft amber eyes on her shaking form. She felt bad for the young wolf. She didn't understand what was going on and she was scared. Sandralina put a warm smile on her face and began speaking to her, "Lyta, don't be afraid. I think I know what's going on. You've been bestowed a gift by the Great Spirit, and I believe I know what it is. I've seen it several times before by someone I once knew. However, just to be on the positive side, I want you to fight me."
Sandralina was sure to leave out the part about her mother, making her name the word 'someone'. She didn't want any mention of her family in any conversation that was about to take place right there, and she would avoid the subject at all costs. She didn't want to remember her past especially since this pack and these wolves were part of her future.

Kora's inner tension eased as the myou's agression melted away. Things were always so much easier when people were calm, or at least, easier for her. She watched with slight disinterest as the little lyxxus stumbled about and the two myou played out pretty words. There was no room for tricks here. There were to many wolves together, all of them aware of her. She did a quick shake of her pelt to hide the building irritation and focused the light to shimmer across it. As a lumen she couldn't stand to let her pelt remain white for long.
The little lyxxus finally crept out of the cave and spoke. Kora forced down a snarl of disgust at the words. Of course one of these wolves would have the ignorance to fear a gift from the great spirit, would be so ungrateful as to say it was wrong. At least... Lyta was right in the fact that yes, the fear was stupid. Kora shifted herself back, she should go. Despite the fact that these were only myou and lyxxus they had numbers on her and she didn't know how the winged myou would react if she caught sight of Kora's contempt.
An odd sound pricked her ears and she glanced to see someone approach. Another myou. She sent more light to swirl across her pelt to try and distract her emotions. It wasn't like her to be so irritated. There were to many problems arising today. She should go before it got any worse. As Sandralina turned to the latest arival, Kora slipped away. Briefly pausing behind a bush that blocked her from their sight and wove the light around her. Once again invisible she headed off.

, Dupre Thinks Vereine suppressed the urge to scoff at the red one’s words. Such a coward… Look at her! Just muttering like a complete fool. Dupre snickered, the female’s first impression would surely stay with the second soul. You do realize I was like that too…
Yes, and what point are you trying to make? The black male let out a soft sigh. This one was quite odd, though she seemed all useless, but really struck him as odd. What was she muttering on about? A wolf not supposed to be that fast? Surely there was an explanation for this, she was probably just being irrational. The Great Spirit has blessed her, fool. And how would you know this? The Spirit has chained me to your weak body, I should be the ones to recognize these things. But you’re just some mere raven… Probably affiliated with the devil himself, but still a raven nonetheless. He heard Dupre continue to mutter something but couldn’t care less. He was too busy trying with the others that he didn’t notice the new scent. His ears twitched and he shifted his gaze to turn to the new comer, trying to suppress a growl. He didn’t need a male, they were usually so rude and would kill on spot, Vereine didn’t need a fight at all right now. He practically prayed this one wouldn’t try and rip his throat out, he really did look like he could. Damn weakling… the raven soul sneered, not at all delighted by Vereine’s own fear. Giving an irritated flick of his tail, he chose to be the better person and acknowledge the other. He turned his head, bowing slightly, then flashed a quick smile. ”Good afternoon, Sir.” He chose not to reveal his name, no it was far too early for that. He wanted to act like a gentleman, but if he were to start off on bad terms with one, he didn’t want them to spread terrible rumors in his good name. He almost laughed at the thought. Vereine snapped his head back at the other winged one, staring at her with amazement. She was trying to comfort the weak red one? Just thinking about it made him want to roll over laughing. From what he has experienced, you don’t comfort someone if they are weak, you let them learn for themselves, and if their lucky, they’ll learn and survive in the big cruel world, and if not, then they’ll parish and you won’t be able to do shit about it. That was life, and it sure wasn’t getting any easier. And then she wanted to fight the other one! Oh, this was getting so much more entertaining for the black wolf and raven soul. Bloody hell, who are these fools? There is no way they can possibly be serious. It was odd though, because Vereine had been worrying about some other myou that could potentially rip him to nothingness, and now he was resisting the urge to laugh at a bunch of morons. Oh how fun this was indeed. His eyes flickered back to where the loner was and heard Dupre snicker. Seeing as she had fled the scene, Vereine felt he should have as well, but things were getting far too good to leave just yet, and he didn’t want to miss anything important and humility worthy. The male always got a good kick out of other wolves making fools out of themselves and this was the perfect group to be with. Flicking his tail once more, he settled down and waited for the show to begin. word count ;; 601tags ;; lyta ! sandralina ! kora ! draco !ooc ;; lolwhut. musical inspiration ;; Don’t Stop – Inner Party System [/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=ff0000] Lyta completely ignored the next Myou that walked up. She was really, really not in the mood. Sandralina's words hit her like a bullet of pure ecstasy, sending a shockwave through her bones. A power? It seemed impossible. All her life Lyta had longed for magic, envied the lupus, been fascinated by their powers and how they worked. And now she had one, like she'd always dreamed of. Never again would she have to endure the scorn of Yagi just for being smaller than them. Never again would she lose a fight to somebody just that little bit quicker. Never again would she miss her fish by just a centimetre and have to go hungry, or wear herself down chasing prey across long distances. She had a power. A slow grin began to spread across her face. Lyta was back to her normal self, albeit a bit shaken and even more self-confident than usual. Sandralina wanted her to fight her? But she already knew she had a.... oh. She still needed to know which power. She'd never heard of one that made time slow down so you moved like lightning. Back in her old pack they'd had a few people who could throw things around without touching them, and one who could walk in people's dreams and a few who could heal, but that was about it in terms of Lyta's experience of powers- another reason for her fascination with them. She gave the winged wolf a reassuring smile, then concentrated hard, trying to summon up the welling power from within herself that slowed down time to a snail's pace. It did not come. Lyta frowned, and lashed her tails, then narrowed her eyes and focused her mind. Don't focus. Relax and let yourself go. Your claws know what to do. Lyta blinked, remembering her old fighting teachers' words. Well, maybe they applied to powers. You never knew. She let go of her concentration and emptied her mind, her consciousness becoming little more than a vague desire for time to bend to her will. And it did. It welled up from somewhere deep within herself, filling her and sparking through her bones, but this time she knew what it was, and she was in control. She felt like she was, anyway. She pulled at a strand in the imaginary fabric and suddenly she was watching the world in double-time. The dark Cadre myou spoke to the newcomer so fast that his words blurred into one another. Lyta could feel her energy draining, everything happening so fast. She desperately tried to cut it off, letting go of time, but it kept going and kept going and she was panicking- and suddenly she freaked out completely and it slowed again, back to normal speed. So apparently it worked both ways. She shrugged; did it matter? Once she was in control of it she could choose which way to make it go. She fell back into the stream of energy; it came so much more quickly this time, and she pushed it with her mind until it slowed almost to a stop, and here she was again in the slow-time. Sandralina had wanted her to fight her. Lyta flicked her tail and lunged, a shimmering red blur of energy streaking towards the myou. She knew she would do serious damage if she barrelled into her packmate at this speed; instead, she darted around behind and barely nicked her friend's tail with her claw. She dropped time and it came back to normal; only then did she realise how tired she was, and that she'd been holding her breath the whole time. Lyta figured that powers were probably thirsty work. She released her breath, panting, and collapsed on the floor. OK. Understatement. Powers are really thirsty work. Lupuses make it look so easy.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,422,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb390/Bluewillowtree/Sandramid.jpg]It was only when Sandralina managed to turn back around to some extent that her amber eyes were aware of a red blur speeding towards her. She knew it was Lyta and she had the instinct to move out of the way, but she didn't. Her tail feathers ruffled and spread when they were hit just barely by the small Lyxxus. She watched her slow and stop, going to the floor. That was good, she knew better than to barrel into something at a speed like that. As small as Lyta was, it would most likely kill her and do major damage to the one being hit.
She smiled, "That was good, Lyta. Now, let's see something else. Just stay where you are." Oh, what are you up to, Sandry? Estoni pondered in the back of her mind. Sandralina chuckled, telling the second soul she would see when it occurred. She was aware of the black male watching, as well as the other one, Draco, who had approached. She allowed her large dark blue and white wings to spread, raising upward. They lashed down, rocketing her off the ground and into the sky with an incredible amount of speed.
Sandralina slowed down and hovered just above them. She had had much practice with her fighting skills and strength was not just one of her skills. Speed was her best one, and she wondered if Lyta would be able to summon that power and get out of the way before the myou possibly immobilized her for the rest of her life. "Lyta, what I am about to do is dangerous, and you must summon that power in a split second if you want to dodge. If I didn't think you could do it, I wouldn't be pulling off this move right now."
She thrust her wings forward and went up some, before she dropped herself out of the sky and flattened her wings against her sides. She was barely a blue as she sped at Lyta, praying she would summon the power before the barn swallow myou collided with her comrade. Sandry...you know this is dangerous! Estoni squawked. 'Yes, but I trust she will move in time. If not...I'll pull up and take out a defenseless tree or rock instead.'
