Fall had descended with a bang, outside the mountain range had been attack from all sides by freezing winds that pelted stinging objects at you. One could barely see the winds were so strong, it was extremely easy to get lost. Hazen had lit himself up as bright as he could as well as sending globes of light up ahead of him so that he could try and spot a way to somewhere safe. He in all honesty did not mind the cold but he was still a living thing and eventually he would freeze if he was not given a chance to rest somewhere. Resting in this storm seemed impossible, he would be covered in snow within minutes.
He strained his eyes and bit his lip as he tried to focus on an orb he had just sent out ahead of him, his head dropping low and his ears flattening. He was sure he had a mound of snow in them already. If he opened his mouth he immediately got a mouthful of the stuff, what was worrying him was that it took a while to melt. He had pushed himself a bit too far this time, he was most defiantly not made of ice. He would die if he didn’t find somewhere and that was not a good plan.
After searching for the better part of the day he found the place he was looking for. He had spent the whole summer here on this mountain, apart from the occasional excursions. As soon as he had entered he shook himself off and let his light dim. His fur was now pure white. He pulled a bit of life from the plants around him to revive himself and then he went to made himself comfortable on the moss. He couldn’t spend winter here even though he liked it so much. He chuckled at his own procrastination, that was what he had thought about summer and yet he spent the whole of it here roaming the mountain.

Rayven was flying above the mountains through the snow, looking for a good place to rest and regain her calmness. She had tried and failed to hunt for food, where usually she'd get five or six jackalopes. Maybe she was just tired and she hoped she could catch a bird or two just as a light snack on the way.
She was flying over the mountains and the valleys when she saw a bright sphere of light moving towards the mountains. Rayven came to the conclusion that it was a Lumen, for that was the only animal she could think of that could illuminate light. She decided to follow the light, hopefully so she could make a new friend who was just as bad as her or she could find a young pup whom she could influence.
Soon, the light disappeared, and Rayven assumed that the wolf had entered a cave or small hollow of some sort and she flew down to the ground and slowly entered the cave. The first thing that came to her mind when she looked into the cave 'So beautiful'..... There was a pure white wolf, lying on some moss. The conscious part of her mind was talking about the cave, which looked quite cozy and comfortable. The subconscious part of her mind was referring to the white Lumen, whom she sort of thought was quite attractive.
Clearing her throat, she said in her smooth voice, 'Uhm... Hello. I'm sorry to intrude, but I was cold and was looking for a place to keep warm. I... I don't think I can fly anymore in this snow, so uh.. do you mind if I join you?"

The wolf’s arrival did not go unnoticed and Hazen lifted his head to study her. Although appearances like this normally excited him at this moment he was not particularly in the mood. He felt like sleeping and resting and was no ways looking for some form of entertainment. But the fact that the storm was raging outside meant that she would stay for a while. He would be able to mess with her a bit later when he was in the mood. Before he left for wherever he decided to go next. Maybe he would go to the desert, it would be like going from one extreme to another.
He nodded his head not saying anything. He studied the Keiyou, she was one that would be easily spotted in the snow, he like the fact that her tail ended in silver. He stopped himself looking at his own tail and wishing for one similar. He was Lumen and even though he was dull and plain he had better abilities than any other wolf. Her life was but a blink in accordance with his.
He lay back, lounging and forgetting about the other wolf as he relaxed. His muscles were aching from the fight against the storm. As he calmed his fur began to radiate calmness through a slight blue glow.

When she saw him nod slightly, she ventured deeper into the cave. He was clearly tired, and so was she. She did not want to disturb him but she was tempted to talk to him. 'Just a short intro won't hurt....' she thought.
"My name is Rayven. It's nice to meet you," she said. She walked over to him and lay down about a foot apart from him. This was peaceful, with the warm moss beneath her, and some company-a quite attractive one, at that, so she wouldn't feel alone all the time....
Wait. It wasn't like her to be so sentimental. She only felt like this when she was flirting with males. Could it be that this wolf was giving her that bubbly, woozy feeling? Rayven suddenly felt vulnerable, for she wasn't in her usual mean and rebellious state. She put her head on her paws and closed her eyes.

Hazen lifted his head, an irritated look crossing his face. This wolf had just spoken without been asked. She was of course going to bug him, it was natural. Especially from females, at least she was not a lupus or some other vulgar species. Even if her life was a bit short. He may be able to have soe fun with her. He drew some more life out of the moss around him, quite possibly taking some from her but not knowing nor caring.
“Hazen” He said, flashing her a grin of his white teeth and standing up, his fur becoming an image of a summer day. His back was blue, his lower part green. If one looked hard enough they would be able to see the individual strands of grass and a jackalope every now and then. His head turned yellow, as if it were the sun.
“What brings you to this part of the world?”

The wolf had replied sooner than she expected. So his name was Hazen. He stood up and his fur colour changed. "Well, if you really must know, I have just come from the Prairie. I was looking for food, but I can't seem to get any. Probably because i'm just tired. What about you?"
Rayven looked at him and studied him carefully. She liked the fact that he, and other Lumen could play with the light waves, causing their pelt to change colour. "Could you do that colour changing thing again? It's nice to watch your fur change colour, she pleaded.

Hazen could not help but laugh, this wolf was rather interesting. She came to the mountains just before winter to look for food? Of all the most ridiculous things he had ever heard these were one of them. The mountain as covered in snow, the prey-animals had long since migrated. He had only thrived here so long because he didn’t have to feed on meat. “There is nothing worth eating up here” He said still filled with laughter, “do you not see the snow? What prey animal would choose to live in such a desolate place?”
As she refered to his fur he came to a stop and his fur returned to pure white, he stared at her, his eyes piercingly cold. And then a mischevious grin crossed his face, maybe he could get something in return for it. He approached her, circling her. His body rather close to his as he sniffed at her, studying.
“And what would you give me if I did?”

"Well, since it's not exactly winter yet, I thought I'd be able to catch a couple birds while they were migrating. I actually sort of spotted and cornered two but I was a little tired so I decided to let them go. Plus, who knows? Maybe when it's spring, they'll bring back a feast?" She shrugged. Rayven circled the other wolf and watched as his fur turned white again.
He smiled mischievously and she grew cheeky. He drew closer to her, taking in her scent and asked her a question. A shiver ran through her as their bodies touched ever so slightly. "Anything you want....." A cheeky and flirty smile grew on her face.

This encounter was beginning to get rather interesting, he had never experienced an encounter as invigerating as this before. Nor as interesting, he circled her once more before walking to stand in front of her again. He raised a brow at her, a playful grin spread across his face. Now what would be best to get her to do? He had some rather interesting ideas sweeping through his mind though none were as sane as she would most likely like.
"well suggest something then" He said with a grin, his mind formulating ideas for his coat. What would he show her? What would she like to see? An image of autumn would be best, but he would show nothing just yet.

"Hmmm.... Anything?" Rayven walked around him yet again, this time, her tail brushed his neck as she walked past. Her flirtatious grin grew wider. When she arrived on the other side of him, she licked him and nibbled his ear. She jumped back into a mid crouch and let out a playful growl to show that she was up for anything.
"What about having some fun? I'm ready and waiting," she said. Rayven hoped he'd accept her offer willingly, for she was really in the mood and her weariness had instantly disappeared. She waited for his response and swished her tail high in the air.

Hazen grinned and playfully snapped at her tail, this was going to be an interesting night. A playful look crossed his face as she spoke, his eyes narrowing, his ears perking and his tail wagging. Anything was truly a wonderful contemplation, he coul get some well needed entertainment from this. A type that was normally extremely hard to obtain.
He stepped towards her, burying his head in her neck and breathing her in before lifting his head and playfully nipping her ear. “I like that idea” He whispered. He stepped back somewhat, cocking his head to the side. He walked so the they stood shoulder to shoulder and then buried his head in her neck once more. “Are you sure you meant that” he said teasingly, waiting and hoping.

Rayven loved the feeling of Hazen nuzzling her. This was making her feel more and more mischievous. She was getting more and more excited when he nuzzled her a second time. "Anything you want~ Anything at all...." she confirmed. Rayven spread her wings, stirring up a light draft and licked his neck.
Gosh... He felt so good... So warm... She let out a sexy growl, and nipped his ears. She stood up on her hind legs to show that she was beyond ready, then fell back down on all fours again. "Are you sure you're up for it?" she teased.

He chuckled, licking is lips “Of course I am” He bit her neck gently, pulling the fur and then put a paw on her back. He had had no idea when he entered the cave that this would be what would come out of it. This was by far his favourite form of entertainment, it was simply pure pleasure. He of course had no feelings for her; this was purely going to be a physical bond.
He lay on the moss, his eyes half closed, the memories of what had happened little under an hour ago still coursing through his body. He licked his lips, wondering how their meeting had happened to turn into a one-night stand. It was absolutely amazing. Females were odd creatures.

Rayven was all about Hazen right now. His multicoloured pelt didn't matter to her anymore, though she loved the colours. She just wanted him. She wanted to be binded to him. She wanted him for her own, and not to share with others. This was going to be the time of her life. And she was ready.
FADE TO BLACK
Rayven lay beside Hazen, taking in his scent. Some nagging voice in her head was telling her that she had feelings for him but she pushed the thought away. This was the first time she had done this before. The furthest she'd gone with a make. Maybe she did love him...... In a way. It was just fun. That night was one she'd remember for the rest of her life.
Then the question she had been meaning to ask fell out of her mouth. "Uh, Haze?" she said. " This doesn't mean we're mates right?" She was actually hoping for a yes. But she could only wait for him to reply. This was all in the hands of fate.

Hazen looked at her, a dumbfounded look crossing his face. mates? No, definitely not. Hazen didn’t do the whole mate thing, he was a one-man wolf. No nagging female behind him. One day he would probably pass on his genes or something of the sort but definitely not with a Keiyou. He was a lumen, being with a Keiyou would be unspeakable.
“No” he said simply, “we do not even know each other. Friends with benefits perhaps but not Mates.” He stood up, shaking himself off. The storm outside had stopped and he wanted to get moving, he wanted to find a place to rest for the winter and the mountains were definitely not suited to his winter escapades.
“I should go, the storm has stopped for a little while.” He nodded at her wings “Its not as easy for me to get out of here as it is for you” With that he grinned at her, maybe he will see her again but until he did she was just another one-night stand. Nothing important, nothing unique. He left the cave, quite aware that his exit was rather blunt and callous. But staying any longer might mean she would get too attached. A wolf following him around was not what he needed at the moment.
