"You think so? I've only choked a couple of times. And I haven't drowned a second time yet... I'd say I'm doing pretty well for myself Bri..." Crow pouted standing up and stretching a bit, his limbs were in need of some much deserved exercise. He glanced back at the lyxxus again.
Crow felt his body heat up as she started on the subject of a mate and how you knew if someone was that special to you. Crow felt she was like a goddess, since she was the first to tell him anything and all things considered... he is quite the gullible fool on top of that.
"M-me... in love...with Tor?" The young yagi cocked his head to one side out of confusion. He wasn't even sure she felt the same. Though the wolf was now certain to make sure he found out next time he met with her.
"As for Mari, I will letcha know if I run across her again. I heard rumors she was joining this circus too but haven't seen her since. Maybe she went traveling across the ocean?" Crow jumped back a top his rock near the ocean as he sat and looked towards them. A bright and opening smile plastered on his face.
"Thanks for the advice Kaly... I will cherish the information always..." The yagi nodded his large ram-like horns at the small lyxxus. Another new friend, another adventure for the future. Crow had a feeling this wouldn't be the last time he would see her for some reason. "If you ever need a friend, or anything for that matter-I'll be in the cove!" he panted lastly, before jumping down on the other side of the rock... and out of view.

Brightness rolled his eyes. Leave it to Crow defuse his tension. Though he was probably still going to get in trouble with Kalylia later. It was obvious that she didn't particularly like Crow. Well, Kaly didn't really like many others so that wasn't saying much. So before any fighting broke out it would probably be best to say their goodbyes to Crow and be on their way soon. Besides, all this talk about love and mates had Brightness' insides squirming and his heart fluttering in a strange way.
When the Yagi mentioned Mari again he perked up again. "Oh! If you see her, tell her I said hi. Make sure she's okay cause I know she was having some issues," he said. Bri hesitated, rethinking his statement. Mari didn't exactly like Crow either. "Actually, just tell her I said hi."
The venom in Kaly's voice when she said Mari's name startled Brightness. Sure he thought she would be upset about the whole love/mate tangent that the conversation had gone off on but why had Mari spurred anger form the young Lyxxus? Bri was throughly stumped, completely baffled by the turn of events.
Noticing Crow's exit in the midst of his bewilderment Brightness bid the Yagi farewell," See you later Crow. Have fun with the circus." He turned to Kaly, hoping she wouldn't be too mad at him for how things turned out. Maybe she would have calmed down with the other male gone. "Shall we head west then? I'm not interested in finding Mari, I think one friend was enough for today. It's easier when it's just you and me."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,502,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i369/mo_avalon/WonderWhy/kalybg.png] Some days Kaly had to wonder if being how she was was a bad thing. Sometimes, when she knew no one was really paying attention to her, she wondered what it would be like to be like other females. She knew females who were strong without being mean, and she knew some females who were weak, but kind. She thought about her parents in that moment, and how her life would be had they have lived, and not lost each other. It was truly apparent to her that her parents had loved each other, and that you could die of a broken heart. Her father’s death was evidence of that…..But what about Kaly? Would she be the way she was had it not been for the losses she had faced? Or would her father’s training have made her the same…..shaking her head mentally she knew it wouldn’t have, her mother was always there to be her softener, to love her.
Behind her eyes she had weeks of tears that had never fallen, stored up behind eyes like a midnight sky so dark and starless, they looked the color ebony. Behind each acidic and venomous word was truly the soul of a hurting individual, who wanted nothing more than to prove she was worth something, to someone. Having no parents now she had no one to prove anything to, and so her psyche in addition to fore-telling, had taken on the urge to be completely competitive and narcissistic. Had it not been for Bri and Coneiron she might have drowned in a pit of her own loneliness, confined by her own anger and solidarity. She sighed, more to herself than anyone else. She supposed she had contributed plenty to the conversation and to Bri’s friend Crow. At his comment that this Mari person may have traveled the ocean she was inwardly very pleased with that very idea. She may have been a bitch but having Bri around had softened her a little around the edges and she was just not willing to let that go, to anyone, least of all another female.
As he got up to go and thanked her she simply nodded to him. She didn’t know about seeing him the future or being friends, but her own inner turmoil had begun to wear thin on her, and even though she wouldn’t admit it, the little lyxxus was tired. Her ears went back and placed themselves along her skull as she looked straight in front of her. She supposed have the doofy Yagi as a friend could be an advantage. She noticed Bri was speaking to her, and she slowly turned her head up to him. She had a small smile on her face when he said it was easier with just the two of them, maybe it was true, or maybe Kaly would just drive Bri to the same level of insanity she was fighting. Nodding, she decided to speak up, though actually her voice was for once, low and quiet, “West sounds fine….but I am…tired..” All her spunk seemed to have left her and she idly stood up and began looking for somewhere, anywhere to sleep…away from the water… |
