Lupa lay on her back in the warm sand, her eyes closed, her breathing slow and steady. Little sparks sizzled on her coat as she slept, jumping on to the sand every time she exhaled. She was lying on a island, Talyn Island, and she wasn't sure how she got there. She had been heading north, but somehow ended up on the beach. The silver she wolf lay there peacefuly, until the cry of a gull disturbed her slumber. She rolled on to her stomach lightning fast, and looked around. The gull landed on a rocky outcrop a hundred yards or so away. Lupa curled her lip in anger, showing her fangs. Just when I was having the most lovely dream, she thought angrily. Looking around again, she decided to get up and streatch. She walked to the water's edge, and watched the water. She wasn't the best swimmer, nor very fond of the water, but she was very fond of fish, and this was where to get them. Licking her maw with a pink tongue, she made her way into the water, scattering a few minnows to which she payed no heed. She bent down her silver and purple head, and watched and waited. She did not have to wait long. Soon a fat fish mendered his way over to where Lupa waited, and she pounched. In a search that got her and the sand hit multiple times with a desperate fish, she grabbed on to her prey and pulled herself, spluttering, from the water. She spit out some water, and she shook herself out. She didn't care much about looking like a drowned rat, it mattered more about how annoying it was to be dragging around soaking fur. Thank god her fur was not long, or she would have freaked. She shook herself out again, then picked up her still flopping fish and headed to a rock. It was three or two feet high, and with a flat top, perfect for lying and drying out on.
She crouched, then jumped up on the rock, and flopped down. She was in a lazy mood, which was unusual, but she was all alone and no one could tell her what to do, or, god forbid, watch her swimming failure. She bit into the fish, which gave one more flop before deciding that at this point it didn't matter. Her stump tail wagged as she tasted the salty flavour, and was reminded of how much she loved fish. She looked out at the waves, wondering which pack she would go to, and which pack would take her. She had considered the mafia, she had plenty experiance with murder, but then she had been disgusted at herself. She really didn't want to kill another wolf again, she had already killed so many. She sighed, and went back to her fish. It was all so complicated, life was, so confusing. She went back to thinking about packs. The Enclave seemed like it was located someplace nice, but the idea of females being forbidden to hunt big game and all the other things made her want to scream. The Alliance wouldn't work for her, for some reason she liked having superiors, someone who would put you in check... A twig snapped behind Lupa and she turned her head, thoughts of packs instantly vanishing. A scrawny jackalope hopped out, and she studied it for a bit. "Why weren't you here before? I was hungry then." She turned back to the last of her fish and finished it, a smile on her maw. She lay on her back, paws in the air, as sleep took her again
