ooc: Note: Her title may say Cadre but she has officially left, just waiting to join another pack to get her title changed.
At the mention of travelling to the tundra Artellia’s heart had stopped beating for a second, and Era had screeched in protest. Her crocodile monitor second soul had died at the idea of living in such a remote and northern land, crying and throwing a tantrum that only seemed to gain in strength as Artellia made her way up north. The cold fall air was a climate she was not accustomed to, never having lived in northern lands and she herself did not cherish the idea particularly. But her mate, who happened to be the only thing or wolf that Artellia was devoted to had decided it, and she would follow her mate off the face of the earth if he so chose. Chuckling quietly as she neared the pack’s border she decided it would simply provide her with an excuse to stick closer to his soft fur and delightful body heat.
The ground had barely begun to defrost from the night before and her long clawed paws were met with a crusty wet surface as the relentless wind seemed to stab at her skin. Shivering she stopped at the edge of the Empire`s land, long slim tail wrapping about her for increased warmth. She was sure she would become accustomed eventually, and her winter fur would no doubt grow in, but for now she felt dejected, shoulders slumped as she looked about in hopeful watch for her mate. They were to join together as she would not become part of this pack without Tsu at her side. Standing at 42” and weighing in at 170 lbs Artellia was no lightweight, the bulk of her weight from reptilian muscles. Her elongated claws, fangs and whip like tail made for decent weapons and the poison that filtered through enemies after one of her bites was not to be taken too lightly. But in this blasted cold she would need the sun to warm her cold blood before being of any use.
Sighing she put on a brave face, ears pricked forward and used her golden narrow pupil eyes to scan through the wind for approaching wolves. Fear was beginning to etch into her heart, she had heard of the Yagi’s that controlled this pack, strong alphas that remained unaffected by the climate. Known for being rather intolerant she believed that although Tsu may stand a chance she may be cast out for being a Myou. It was known that other species looked down and frowned upon Myous, considering them impure and unworthy of the title of wolf. Venomously she snapped her jaw together, the strength of her second soul could never be appreciated for the power it possessed and she desired the chance to prove its worth to those that sought to reject it.
With that thought in mind her eyes light with a spark of passion, she would use her strength to persevere, make Tsu proud to be her mate and show the others she was a force to be reckoned with and not an impure breed of wolf to be berated. Head tilted in a proud manner her posture was strong and a tad defiant as the wind whipped her dark green pelt into a frenzy of ruffled fur, amber eyes flashing out at the tundra. Looking seriously out of place the sight was a peculiar one, and demonstrated a certain rejection to nature’s ways and the order of animal species. Let them come, she thought vehemently, her strength could not be denied and her desire to survive would not bend. She only wished Tsu would show up soon, it was always better to confront fears as two…

He kept himself securely at her side, giving her an encouraging smile when they reached the Empire's border. The hybrid wasn't fond of the cold climate either, but his fur was a much better barrier for the chilling wind than Artellia's.
"If you find the winter to be more than you bargained for, we can always leave." He said reassuringly to cover up his own insecurities about joining a pack. His nose found its way to the side of her face and he nuzzled her briefly.
Before he could say much more, the hybrid saw a difference in the female's posture and attitude. She appeared to become resolute in their decision, and Tsun immediately felt a surge of pride. That's my girl..He thought appreciatively.
Without another word the black wolf lifted his head to the sky and let out a melodious howl. His cael genetics always made for an impressive entrance.
