Clovis Talks , Clovis Thinks |

Impossible, completely impossible he was. Clovis had managed to get himself lost once more, clearly wandering a good distance away from his pack. Now he nothing against exploring the lands, it proved to be quite the experience, but it never killed anyone to stay within the comforts of ‘home’. Well, perhaps it has, but it wasn’t something very common to his knowledge. The whisp continued his slow and cautious pace, staring at everything around him with a judging eye. He was equally curious as he was paranoid. One was never too sure about something so foreign, for all they could have known, the very ground they walked on could have been plagued with poison and death. An odd looking leaf poked out of the ground and Clovis gave it a scrutinizing look, prodding at it with his paw, then directing his attention back to the path ahead of him.
How long had he been wandering? It must have been for a while, because the smell of salt water and the cool ocean air assaulted his nose, causing him to come to an abrupt halt. The Lumera Valley couldn’t have possibly been that close to the ocean waters, could it? That must have meant he managed to cross through multiple pack lands, or maybe just unclaimed areas. Clovis took on a quizzical expression, padding closer into the direction of the mysteries that lay beyond the sand dunes. Sand. Practically flailing at the sudden realization, he stared at the sand with bewilderment. The soft white grain that gathered in the fur of his paws, it was something odd for him, something he hadn’t experienced before.
What was even more odd was the fact that the small whisp had been pushing himself toward the water. It was common knowledge that the species were not a fan of water, so why had Clovis decided to just wander on over to it? Letting his wings spread out and giving a tiny huff, he disappeared behind a veil of soft sea blue and green. The strange smokey substance glided along the sand, swerving from side to side every now and then. When it had manage to pass the large dunes, the whisp had appeared again in full form. His eyes narrowed as the sight of the ocean came into view and the soft lapping of waves filled his ears. Mad, impossibly mad, Clovis was.
A whisp walking on up to the ocean, oh that would have made quite the laugh, but he was always the curious sort, wanting to know and learn more. This would have proved to act as an educational understanding of sorts. He stopped a few meters away from the water, attempting to stay clear of that water. He lowered his nose just above the sand and sniffed it, the scent of salt strong and not all too welcomed. He quickly pulled his head back and eyed the water once more, his head tilted to the side and his brows furrowed.
Clovis was quite the odd creature, doing the strangest of things on a daily basis, but there wasn’t a doubt in his mind that this must have been one of the most stupidest of them all.

As the afternoon came around, Rylee found herself wandering aimlessly, yet again. She had found a rather good meal the night before of a dead stag that had been a carcass for not too long. It had been the first good meal she'd eaten in a while and she was in a rather good mood from it. She held her head higher than usual and wore a half-smile across her maw. She was definitly in a good mood.
Son the thick scent of salt hit her nose. It made her sneeze and she halted, blinking at the beach some feet away from her. "A beach? Only been 't one once... Well, it's 'uh a nice day... What's the harm 'n playin' in the water?"" Her eyes glittered with amusement as she pranced out, docked tail flicking. She stepped up to the waters edge watching as the water moved up the shore and splashed onto her paws. The cold liquid made her shake and she giggled pleasantly. "A lil' cold th're!" She laughed as she jumped away from the waves coming back up before it could touch her.
As she was there playing chase with the waves along the shore, it was as if she could actually relax for a minute. She hadn't been in a good mood in a while and it was clear when she was. She was unaware of the other wolf some feet away, too busy dashing along the shore-line and letting her paws sink in the wet sand.

Odd, peculiar, bizarre. There weren’t enough words for the whisp to describe the foreign ocean. He took yet another cautious step, his paws sinking slightly in the mush of damp sand. The water chased back up to the shore, making Clovis panic and jump back. This must have been one of the reasons as to why his kind hated water... Or perhaps it was just him who was such a coward. Yes, that seemed like the most probable answer. Watching as the sea water pull back, he walked toward it again, now more aware.
Though, his newfound knowledge of the ocean’s patterns where shattered when he was assaulted by a larger wave, the water meeting him in a wild clash and forcing the whisp to be knocked down. You’ve got to be kidding me... Clovis hissed within his thoughts, scrambling back to the sand a sure distance away from the lapping waves. A good majority of his body had managed to get itself soaked, causing great discomfort and irritation to the male. He gave a quick shake and set himself down against the soft white sand.
The ocean breeze assisted in drying him off, but it also proved to make him much colder. He let his eyes scan the blue horizon, studying the strange waters from a safe distance. As the whisp continued to look over the area, blue and green mixed eyes fell upon another figure. He lifted his head a bit higher, as if to get a better look of the stranger. He hadn’t even noticed the other while on his little endeavor from the wet shores to a drier area. Clovis was never one to speak out and make friends, but the wolf seemed to be having an enjoyable time.
Yagi, it was clear from the horns that adorned the wolf’s head. Female as well and clearly less worried about the sea than he was. He let his wings fan out once more, felling a bit intimidated. The species had been known to be strong creatures, and Clovis was quite the delicate whisp. Hopefully she wouldn’t have meant harm, it was also troublesome to do anything when his wings were still quite damp. He continued to watch as she went about across the shores of the ocean, wondering about how she got here. ”Aren’t you worried about it going to attack you?” He called out, his tone filled with great curiosity. A little daft of course, but from his point of view, it did seem like the water had attacked him...
