The Mafia, as far as Red knew, collected unpleasant wolves with dark morals and have no regard for any living things nor their world. All they care was about themselves. He knew things going on deep inside the territory were something that are likely to shock him and a bunch of others. But then, at the same time, the evil reputation this pack possessed intrigued him; if anyone didn't know the definition of evil, they just needed to take a look at the Mafia to know it. It was filled with cold blooded killers, sleazy spies and, basically, wolves that just enjoy doing something unpleasant. Sure Red was a killer but he wasn't evil. At least he hoped he wasn't. He intended to respect the natural cycle of the living and the dead unlike the bunch of the Mafia wolves, as far as he knew.
Trees all around him loomed over him sinisterly, water dripping over the leaves onto his pelt. Occasionally he looked over his shoulder to see if it was still water that was touching his pelt. The lupus was at the border of the Mafia's territory; he would be able to see what was going on while keeping out of trouble. He didn't like the thought of provoking the cold-hearted wolves simply by trespassing. He looked around above him; leaves grew in a beautiful shade of emerald and flowers all around him glittered with wondrous range of colours. He snorted with a faint laughter, this place was beautiful, humid but beautiful yet in the heart of the stunning jungle a dark, ugly pack resided. Yes, perhaps you can't judge a book by its cover.

Ah, it was a marvelous day in the jungle, and Lawson was out and about enjoying it. It had been a long time since he'd left his old week pack in a rather distressing state. He grinned crazily at the memory of his family's faces frozen in horror as he had made them pay for what they'd done. He moved with surprising agility, considering his impressive bulk, and his dark brown pelt caught drops of fresh water as they fell lightly from the surrounding plants. The jungle was his home now, the Mafia his pack, and he rather enjoyed the sense of purpose, power and security that gave him.
He had allies and friends, and although he hadn't particularly minded being a loner, no, those had been fun days, a pack was so much more fun, and gave him time to amuse himself with other wolves like-minded as himself. The Yagi tossed his two large, pointed black horns around to shake off the leaves that had slowly accumulated on them, and stared at his reflection for a moent in a large puddle: Two orange eyes, large horns, pearly saber teeth and a large scar over his right eye. A distinguished fellow, he also wasn't lacking on brawns judging by the muscles that ripple handsomely beneath his pelt.
He kept on going, wondering if he was hungry enough to hunt and longing for some source of amusement when an unfamiliar scent caught his nose: He lifted his head, and a curious gleam entered his odd eyes, his stubbed tail, born with that length at birth, waggued for a moment as a sardonic grin brought out his saber teeth. He quickly let his large paws and long strides carry him to the source of the smell, a male wolf precariously close to the Mafia's territory. Just a couple steps further... His voice hissed in his ear, and Lawson grinned: Now why would he need to wait for that?
He casually walked into sight,a pleasant but chilling smile on his would-be-handsome face: "Greetings, traveller. I do hope you realize how close you are to the Mafia's land..." he welcomed the wolf, his voice deep as it rumbled through his chest. He waited to let the wolf introduce himself.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,300,true][bg=8f969d] [scrolly: w(300), h(300), sy]Red had thought about joining a pack and always ended thinking against it. He knew he wouldn't be able to survive in a pack. He knew he would soon feel left out due to his loneliness. Granted, there would be plenty of other wolves who have an intense past just like him but how many were being taught how to kill by their father after their mother had found with their throat torn out before being forced to live an other life. A snort of a short laughter burst out of his long muzzle; he had never actually thought about his situation properly. Admittedly it was quite odd and it sounded like he was full of self-pity. He shook his head faintly, one would have to live his life to know the feeling. The image of his mother had never actually left his mind, torturing him every single second. Now that he had thought about it a new question was being planted in his head; was it his father fault?
He scraped a close fern leaf with his claws and stabbed it, digging it into the fertile ground and, at the same time, injecting poison into it. Red didn't like the thought; his father was his idol. But then if he hadn't came back would his mother still be alive? It seemed likely but... The lupus dug his claws even deeper, churning the earth. Castor came back because he loved his mate and wanted to love his son. Red snorted and wondered if he could love a female just like his father did. Nah, it seemed unlikely thanks to his travelling lifestyle and his stand-offish attitude. Besides would he trust a wolf just like that? Deep inside him something stirred at the thought. If he was being honest, yes he liked the thought but he did not think that chance would come for him. A mourning thought began to affect him and gave him another question; would he die lonely?
His brown eyes darted up at an approaching stranger. He was a yagi, with couple of sinister horns and fangs. Well, Red had never liked yagis; he found them way too odd for his liking. But what had caught his interest was his scent; it was of the Hellion Mafia. This was what he came here for, to find some interesting attributes this pack possessed. He liked learning new things and how much he hated to admit it, there were many things in the world he did not know. An eremus for an instance. The image of the bizarre Nepara arrived his mind with her elastic body. He felt like smiling at the memory but he didn't because of the pack wolf in front of him. For him, smiling was a weakness, an emotion being betrayed. One could tell something from just a tiny smile.
Close to the territory? Yes, he did realise that. Red met his eyes and held them for a moment with his jaws shut. The yagi's smile was unsettling as if he was plotting something. It must be something linked to him being so dangerously close to the border. Of course it was linked to that but what was important was what he was planning. His welcome was dripping warmth and expectant as if he wanted something from him. It was obvious; he wanted a reason and a name. Red still had his eyes on his powerful face. This wolf wasn't going to get them. He didn't actually ask for them after all.
After a long minute he finally replied with only a word with a nod. An answer to his spoken question: "Yes."

The Yagi was no fool: He sensed power within this wolf, presumably a Lupus judging by his vibrant colors. A seemingly silent fellow, although that didn't bother Lawson overly much, he could be sociable or a loner, like a chameleon, he switched often enough. He assumed the wolf wished to join in some way his marvelous pack, or he wouldn't venture so near, unless of course, he was a fool. And Lawson had a feeling he wasn't.
His orange eyes gleamed for a moment, thinking: He was Consigliere, and could therefore accept members, which pleased him, and so he pressed on with the meeting. "Excellent then, let's get started. I suppose you're a direct fellow, prefer the information straight up, no beating around the bush, marvelous, that suits me fine. A simple question indeed, is what I ask, but the answer will greatly affect the both of us in some way, I am certain: Do you wish to join the Mafia? You may have heard of the old Mafia, a rather run down, ill-managed but nonetheless feared and respected pack, I presume, however, I wasn't there at that time."
He paused to let his words sink in, and to formulate his next words: "Well, that was the old Mafia, and now we see the dawn of a new Mafia, better, more powerful, a more cohesive pack that values it's members as much as respect and power. I would suggest you chose now, traveler, if you would like to join or not, because if you are simply passing by I would strongly suggest you take another route." He stopped and waited. Oh, but wouldn't it be more fun if he was simply passing by? We haven't had a good fight in such a long time... His voice hissed in excitement, and Lawson ignored his old friend.
He wasn't looking for a fight, never really had, but was always open to one. No, he was curious about the silent wolf, but not that curious: If it came down to it, he wouldn't be overly disappointed to see him leave. The Yagi was content to remain unknown for the moment, and wanted to hear what the stranger intended before going any further.

Perhaps he would get pissed off, be amused or whatever but he liked to get every practice possible. He knew this yagi would be interesting as Red had already seen the likes of him before. All lovely and welcoming but there was something sinister brewing behind the scene. But he did not know the extent of his nastiness. Some enjoyed spitting and hissing taunts at others but some revelled in more physical and violent tactics. There were some who take pleasure in twisting your mind. This yagi did not seem like those who spit some petty taunts. This yagi was clever and he could almost see the cogs working in his mind, always planning for every next action. Wolves like him were tricky to work out and this was the reason the lupus was staring at him.
He raised one of his brows as he listened at the yagi's small speech concerning his pack. Was he seriously thinking Red wanted to join? He let out a small but scornful laughter before quieting again to listen the remaining words. Oh? Was this brute threatening him? Almost instinctively he had his venom pulsing through his glands and flexed his claws, churning the ground up. Another route? Don't think so. He had enough walking today and he was here for a reason. To find out some information of the Mafia. Not to spy or anything but to add to his knowledge of things. Red thought that there were no other thing more powerful than intelligence. Brawns help, yes but brains always win in the end. Most of his kills had been done successfully were because of his brain. He had to plan every assassinations out in fine details until the very end. He suspected this yagi had the similar belief.
"No, you must have misunderstood. I'm not here to join; I'm not even in your territory." He emphasised the last part with a small stomp of his left paw to indicate that this yagi had no sensible reason to attack him. "I'm here to..." He hummed a bit while he thought what was the right thing to say next. If he said something along the lines of "finding out information" this wolf would be quick to assume that he was spying so he had a reason to attack him. Red wasn't here to find a fight. "Hm, let's say, for a future reference, what exactly does the Mafia consist?" He raised his brows and his brown eyes peered up at the yagi's deep orange eyes.

Doesn't want to join? The bastard!Rip his head off, Lawson, old friend! Chase him out! Blood! His voice called into his ear, crying for a fight. Lawson hushed it inside, an eyebrow expertly raised. He was Consigliere now, not a loner anymore, he couldn't simply go around attacking wolves. There was a certain procedure to follow, and he was curious about this Lupus.
"I see... Apologies then, ah.." He suddenly remembered he didn't know his name. An idea infiltrated his mind: He might as well gain some information too, while he was at it? He would gladly give the traveler the correct information, just after he got his. "Well now, I have an idea. If you would be so kind as to tell me your name, introduce yourself, then I will follow. I don't quite feel comfortable talking to an unknown wolf about my pack, as I am sure you will understand." He finished, and sat down, wating.

Red knew that yagis were often overly-defensive and usually aggressive and, because of this, he was wary with this one. He had plenty of scars to prove his mistakes of trusting other wolves not to be violent. Now that he had learnt this in the hard way and that he did not want to receive another scar; his brain was on high alert and his muscles preparing themselves for any quick action. It would be hard for this yagi to surprise the lupus with any sudden movements. But his face revealed nothing; it remained as passive as ever. He looked at the yagi's scarred face. So he had his bad share of scars as well then. Red tilted his head slowly, curious how did this brute got those mutilation. Scars and their origins told him a lot of one's character and history.
He nodded as the yagi apologised to him for his mistake. Red guessed that the wolf wasn't as sharp with his senses; it was obvious that the lupus was sitting just before the border. The pack scents of the border were quite strong somewhere in front of the white wolf. But then, this yagi male's ignorance was quite normal as he, along with many other wolves, must hadn't trained his senses as well as Red had did. "Mistakes happen." He looked at the orange eyes in front of him; his previous thoughts were not visible on his steadfast gaze.
Red gaped his mouth into a silent ah as the yagi explained his reasons for not answering straight away. This hadn't surprised him, any wolf intelligent and sensible enough wouldn't feed him any information so easily. In fact if this horned wolf told him answers immediately Red would be surprised. His face was as steady as ever when he replied: "Fair enough. You can call me Red." There was no harm whatsoever in him giving his 'name'. After all it was the name of his alter ego, not himself. Pan Fion, on other hand, would be risky. "I am a traveller, eager to learn new things." He inclined his handsome head, "I already know some of the packs and I want to know more about the other packs and Mafia is on my list." He lowered his head respectively; "But if you're uncomfortable, I understand."
