The Yagi paced restlessly outside his den for the night, stars twinkling above and a full moon proudly displayed in the sky. Autumn was here, and the jungle was a pleasant temperature, not too warm or too cold. The reason Lawson was so upset was because of this: He had spotted, much to his dismay,a few grey hairs on his muzzle and flank, and this had angered and irritated him: Growing old was such a weakness, it infuriated him. I wish there was some way we could stop this... His voice hissed, just as angry. "I too, old friend..." The male growled back, his voice rumbling low.
He'd even noticed that while on his patrols his muscles seemed more sore and tired then what they'd used to be, when he was a little younger. He was angry and tired, not a good combination, especially for a wolf such as Lawson. Giving up for the moment, he went into his den, a large hollow log well covered by trees and plants, and went to sleep, his only thoughts on how he was going to stop this...
During the night, things slowly began to change as the wind picked up, creating an eery melody through the jungle trees. Plants rustled and animals hid, the moon seemed the highest it had ever been in the night sky and the starts twinkled brighter than ever. No one quite knows why, but slowly the grey hairs began to fade to the dark brown once again...
Lawson awoke with the sun just barely filtering through the trees. He exited his resting place and stretched, feeling oddly refreshed and with more energy than ever before. His orange eyes were bright and alive, his muscles were no longer sore, but bulged, ready for action. He wondered if yesterday had just been an off day, but then the Ygai noticed the absence of grey hairs. In fact, his pelt felt more sleek and shiny, a little thicker, perhaps? The change was just barely noticeable, but it was indeed there.
He grinned: Whatever had happened, it was alright with him... He jumped off his small hill, his large paws thudding as he ran, no, sprinted through the trail, saber teeth bared in a twisted smile. He kept this up for quite some time, and finally stopped, growing less tired than before. He stopped and continued walking, feeling rather good about himself. Little did he know...
OOC: Just so everyone knows, I bought eternal youth for Lawson so that is why.

The young mortui gazed up towards the big balls of fire with wonder. They were practically one in the same. She sighed a bit content for once in her new life. That's right! All she had to tell herself was how that she had simply died from her old one and had begun her new one. Maybe she would be bold enough to take on the mafia ways just yet...
That was one of the only wonderful things about being undead and unfeeling to the means of the physical. She could watch the sun rise in the morning, set in the evening and still watch the moon rise and the stars dance about. Though she could never feel the satisfaction of being tired to sleeping and becoming awake... or quenching thirst or hunger... it was still nice not to have the unnerving sensations.
She sat on the edge of the jungle, it was a lovely place and all, and she had a friend already too. And there was that other mortui... what was his name? Who was he? He was such a mystery to Inaba. It gave her butterflies in her rotting pit of a stomach. Had she made the right choice by picking the mafia? Shrugging it off, she couldn't think of another place she would fit in. So she assumed this was it. She was done for. If she tried to change her mind now, she would surely exist no more.
At least this way she could choose when she wanted to end her life. She sighed in contentment once more, if she were a normal wolf species, she would not so easily admit that fact. For some reason though, she felt she would not have to leave the mafia to end it all. In deep thought and without her hallucinations, Inaba laid out on her back and kicked at the stars playfully, feeling her inner puppy take over her.

Scorch had been searching for his Consigliere for quite some time now, nose to the under brush he tracked the yagi's scent without much of a hurry. His black pelt, streaked with dark blood red, shone in the few rays of light that filtered through the thick canopy above him as he hopped from one large root to the other, claws digging up tropical moth as he went. The Don wanted to converse with his friend about some matters of security and the matters could not be held off any longer.
Scorch finally made it to the male's den, hoping that he might find the brute nearby and it seemed as though he were in luck as he caught wind of a fresh scent. It was quite peculiar how in luck he had been in the past year and for an ordinary wolf the new Don have been incredibly busy. Following the smell he ran ahead lithely, sleek body moving through the shadows as he neared his target. However, his chase was interrupted by the putrid and easily recognizable smell of a rotting mortui. Curling his nose up Scorch turned to his sense of hearing, trying to discern larger movements that might be characteristic of the larger species.
And there is was up ahead, the distinctive shape of large black horns moving away. Rushing to catch up Scorch quickly made his way closer before stopping in his tracks. The yagi before him could very well have been a younger version of Lawson, was this a brother or a relative? No, the yagi had killed his family, perhaps a son? But the yagi had not informed him of any successors, but there was no doubt, if this wolf could not be family he had to be a son. Growling aggressively at the back side of the wolf he demanded, "Who the hell do you think you are to trespass on my lands! If you seek Lawson you should have waited on the borders, now you will pay for your transgressions!" Taking a commanding pose Scorch began to let flames grow through his fur. Little did he know his friend had undergone a little transformation and that in his anger he had failed to note Inaba on his way through.
