"Speaking" It was a forlorn and cloudy day, and the beach was dressed in all whites and greys. Birds flew in the sky, their cries carried away by the cold, salty breeze that whipped the waves and tore at wolves fur. On the beach, it was low tide, and there walked a young wolf.
The Mafia prince was deep in thought at the moment, but as his father had taught him, it was best to always be ready and on your guard, so his silver eyes still flitted back and forth. He was over six months now, and all his markings were present. His fur had lost that fuzzy puppy appearance and instead was gleaming and sleek. He was quite tall for his age, with some muscle that the Don had helped with. He had constantly repeated to his second son that intelligence was valued, but in the end, brawn's were just as valuable as brains.
His navy fur was long, and suited him nicely, as it matched his cold demeanor. Specks of silver also graced his pelt that were like stars, and glinted when he was around fire. He wasn't broad of shoulder like his brother Banshee, or quite as big, but he had potential. He was lean and fit, as he ran everyday and was quite fast too: He supposed he had inherited the same leanness from Scorch, his father. The lupus was thinking about his brother, and father, at the moment actually.
His parents had decreed that since they were old enough, they were to have separate dens from their parents, and hunt on their own. Tearen had to admit that after his father and mother's lessons, as well as with lots of practice, hunting wasn't an issue at all. In fact, none of it was, and even if his parents had let them stay in the den, Tearen knew that he would have left anyways, as he preferred to be alone on most occasions.
He kept on walking, glancing every once and a while out to sea, enjoying the cold air that whipped around. He wondered for a moment what Banshee was doing right now: He did visit his brother's den every once and awhile, as although he loved, in his own way, his parents, it was Banshee that he truly opened up to. Ren wasn't stupid, and he knew that his father was training Banshee to be a killer, perhaps even more so than Tearen himself.
He understood the Don's reasoning, even at a young age: Banshee was bigger, slightly taller, and more physically adept. While Scorch did do small training sessions with his second son, Tearen knew that is was Banshee that was destined to become Don, not him. He sighed: It hurt, he had to admit, just a little, that he would never live up to that standard. It was physically impossible to be more like Banshee, and he wondered what he would be when he grew up. Banshee was obviously Don, so what would he be? Underboss, he supposed.
Tearen knew that Lawson, that large Yagi that was even bigger than Scorch, was currently Underboss now. Would he still be around? He recalled seeing him near the Gambit trail, and he supposed that was where his den was. He had even considered searching for the great brute's den, but decided that it wasn't worth the consequences: A wise decision indeed, as he guessed that if he were found by his father's friend, there would be punishment, by Lawson and Scorch, most likely.
He himself had a den near the Clear-Eyed Pool. Close to drinking water, and also when prey came to drink, an easy meal. He had, of course, thought well before making his den, and considered everything before making his decision. No detail could be left out, and even at a young age, Tearen was proving to be quite efficient.

OOC: Just thought I could make a postie here, I hope its okay with you.
Alyss was scrambling to make it back to her home, the islands outside of this odd new place, back to her parents, back to her sister. She was sloppily swimming, tired from the long journey, she just had to rest. The young Cael gently swam to the shore and rest her head on the soft, wet sand, still half in the water, her tail gently being tugged back and forth in the tides.
She pawed her way to dry land finally, her tail morphing back into her normal two legs, twitching from the pain she felt from swimming such a distance. She could remember it all, the little incident had happened in such a short time. The Cael couldn't even remember half of it herself, she just knew a few facts now:
Firstly, she was stranded in this odd new land, and with her curiosity, she just had to explore. Secondly, her sister must have gotten back to her mother to tell what had happened. She'll rescue her, Alyss just knew it. Thirdly, there was....another wolf here? Yes, another! Alyss smiled brightly, perhaps there was hope in this new place! She tried to get up, but flopped back on the ground.
Alyss always had trouble getting her land legs, especially after such a long time in the ocean. She just had to meet this new wolf, the Cael needed to get her barrings in this place. She gently dragged herself across the beaches sand, for short moments managing to get on all fours to walk, but gravity would do its work and she would fall back down, her body aching.
But she managed to make it to the wolf, and she sat up, smiling at the navy blue creature. "Hello, my name is Alyss, I was wondering what this weird place is, could you help me get my bearings around here?" She gently chuckled, keeping to her kind nature. "Oh, I'm sorry, you must be confused about me, you see, I used to live near this big group of islands with my sister, Sisily, and our parents. I think a day ago, or was it a few days ago, well, I was playing with my older sister, when I got sucked into this giant waterfall thing with Sisily!"
The Cael tried to mimic the sound of the rushing water by making a loud 'shhh' sound. "She had a stronger tail, and managed to escape the water's evil clutches, but I was taken down into this new body of water, which apparently led to this beach! So what do you say, could you help me out?"Alyss finally finished her giant spiel about her arrival here, and laid back down, her limbs still aching.
"Do you think there's a place I could rest? Are there other wolves here? And who are you?"
