Hello Wonderwhy and welcome to another wonderful spring in the world of fantasy wolves!
First off I would like to give a big thank you to old members that have faithfully stuck by this site through thick and thin, your dedication and endearing creativity is what fuels this place and I also want to welcome and congratulate any new members that have just started to give us a try, there is nothing like a new face to brighten one’s day! On that note I just want to pass along a quick refresher about what being a loner, rogue and pack wolf represents here at Wonderwhy.
| L O N E R S |
To start with I would like to stress that loners are those wolves that find themselves the most vulnerable in the wild, they are those that have not found a pack in which to seek shelter and are also those that have not proven their ability to survive on their own like the wild rogues. Wolves are social creatures and gather together in packs for their mutual benefit. Therefore, those who do not have packs, known as Loners, have more trouble finding food and are less able to fight off predators. In consequence loners are often seen as possessing less strength as the later two; they are those that have not made up their mind about embracing the safety of pack life or taking on the wilderness on their own; in essence they are vagabonds.

Rogues were once loners or even pack wolves, they are those that possess the ability to survive on their own and have proven their strength and intelligence. They fully embrace the solitude of their own company and have extensive knowledge of the dangers that can lurk waiting for a wolf on his own. Considerably less at risk from being attacked by predators, these are not individuals to be taken lightly, they have shown a sense of direction in their life. Occasionally feared for this, rogues have a reputation as possessing admirable qualities and are extremely self reliant. Rogue status must be purchased through the Wonderwhy Shop found | here | in order for a loner or pack wolf to attain such a level of independence. Another relating note can be found | here | and to anyone new or just joining I would advise you give it a read as well.

Finally, pack wolves are loners or even rogues that have decided to align themselves with another group of wolves in order to ensure survival. Strength in numbers is the way they have chosen to live and such individuals rely on each other, sharing a common bond that unites them. Pack wolves are the least prone to being attacked, for there will always be another to come to their aid. By pledging their loyalties to a pack they receive shelter, protection and resources that are otherwise difficult to attain in the wild. Contrary to popular belief, uniting with a pack does not provide proof of weakness or the lack of ability to survive alone, but rather a desire to strengthen one’s abilities past the level that can be achieved independently. Information on pack joining can be found in the Wonderwhy Character Guide located | here |.

On that note please consider this message when reviewing the state of your wolf, do not be surprised if a predator drops in at any given moment, and remember, generally loners are more at risk based the basic principles of survival of the fittest. Please feel free to post any question, comments or concerns, feedback is appreciated!
Good luck out there and happy hunting!
