General
OCC Name: AmiOokamiWolf
Name: Ami
Alias: Goldie
Species: Cael
Age: 3 years; 39 months.
Pack: Lone Cael
Rank: N/A
Physical
Height: 28 inches
Weight: With tail; 76 lb. Without; 66 lb.
Appearance: In water, the front half of her body is a faint yellow color, with patches of white fur. Her bottom half, mainly consisting of her tail, is covered with golden scales. The golden scales shimmer in sunlight and can cast a silver and gold shine under direct moonlight. There is one large fin going down the length of her tail, this fin in reddish gold, and there are two more tiny fins on the sides of her tail which are also a reddish gold. Camouflaging is difficult because of her bright golden sheen, but because she is small she can fit in nooks and crevices under the water. If one spots her lower-half before her front, they may suspect her to be an over-sized goldfish.
On land, with all her scales fully dried, her fur is all light yellow and white. Amis’ eyes are metallic silver that glow in the shadows.
Strengths
o Swimming is her strongest suit, which comes natural with her species.
o Singing is her second skill, with an angelic and sometimes otherworldly voice. She can hit the lowest of tones and the highest.
o Being small, Ami is very fast. Her lithe body always for fast bursts of speed underwater, as well as above land once she has retained her sense of balance and has familiarized herself with the land.
o Hearing, her strongest sense, trumps over her eyesight. She can hear a single drop of water if she is concentrated enough.
Weaknesses
o Eyesight; the pigment of her eyes is overly bright, showing that she is hard of seeing. It’s not too bad that she can’t see a few feet in front of her, but its bad enough that it hurts her hunting performance.
o Camouflage; due to her bright scales it is difficult for her to remain undetected in water, causing her to stay away from waters known to have predators. On land she is also easily spotted, and her bright eyes can give her position away.
o Strength; Ami is pretty weak, unable to take down most things. She usually preys on seaweed because of this, but also eats tasty fish if she can get her paws on them.
o Combat: This wolf has never been in a fight in her entire live. She has no experience in fighting, and only fleeing from predators or territorial Caels.
o Size: As well as having pros, her size must come with cons. She is targeted more than others because she is considerably weaker and an ‘easy meal’.
Personality
To sum it up, Curious. But let’s lay out all the cards. Ami has driven herself on curiosity, eager to learn and explore. The young Cael may seem dumb, but from all the things she has seen and done, she has a library of knowledge stored in her head. Her fascination never ends, and she just loves wolves. She has a habit to approach strangers and try to befriend them; mostly she does this to learn more about them.
She loves friendly chatter, especially the deeper, more meaningful talks. On the outside she seems like a persistent, annoying, almost crazy Cael who may go on and on about clouds, but if one gets to know her, they’ll realize there’s a lot more to it. Ami is observant; she analyzes the situation and comes up with a simple solution. She is intelligent, far more then she leads on, and she is insightful.
Ami is relatively happy, hoping to share joy with others, though when threatened she retreats to her cowardice, avoiding confrontation the best she can. Other than that, she is free-willed and has an open-mind, being unbiased about most matters.
She is the kind of wolf to help a dolphin get to the surface for air, or protect a nest of sea turtles from smaller predators. She is good with small animals that don’t threaten her, though she is awkward with pups of her own species, she fears she may hurt them on accident. Ami treads in shallow waters, fearing the vastness of deep water that is filled with predators who may make a meal out of her. This trait has always outcast her from other Caels, simply because they don’t understand her.
History
Born in a nestled crook of an underwater den, Ami was part of a dead litter. They were born too early, resulting in the death of her siblings and the runt-size of Ami herself. Until she was old enough to swim away from her mother and meet the other pups, Ami was alone. Her mother was reluctant to care for her, but did so in a cold manor. As Ami aged and seemed to fit in with the pack, her mother gradually warmed up to her pup.
But it didn’t last long. For her first hunt, Ami was required to travel past the safety of the reef, and into the deeper and darker waters. Such was the rite of passage for all of the members of the tribe.
But Ami was scared, not that pervious Caels weren’t as well. She hated every second in the abyssal sea, fearing a shark would appear out of the black and swallow her in one bite. She ended up failing, her fear getting the best of her as she turned sharply and pushed her fins and tail with all her might to cut through the water and back to her reef.
She wasn’t welcomed back with loving nuzzles, instead she was looked at with distained. Thus Amis’ outcast began. She was aloud to stay, as she did swim in the abyss for the required period of time, but she was socially rejected for not bringing back anything from her endeavors.
A year later she left to become a nomadic Cael, traveling on land and in water. For two years she has struggled to find herself, and she has now come back from distant oceans to reunite with old acquaintances and hopefully show her old pack what she has found.
