Interesting, I would have expected someone to write a short story by now, but seems like I was wrong. I might post another one, if I can fight my urge to write more and more xD Though I think this one came out, well ... lame. Anyways, I hope I did this right ... Entry 1:Abandoned Castle Adventures: Unlocking Doors Everywhere there was dust; close to making you sneeze the whole time you where in there. "Give it time," I remember thinking. It didn't help that there was hardly any natural light. I was walking around the hallway with Charles, unfortunately this decision had been made by him. "Over here," He called. "Hey! Mate! over here." He repeated. I turned. He was trying to get inside another room. We've gotten through three doors inside the abandoned castle so far, but now we where pushing the fancy handle together leading to the kitchen. "It's giving!" I shouted. So far it was going swimmingly. Charles stopped trying. I fell over onto the ground. "It's not giving man," he said quietly. "What was the idea with that?" I shouted. "Idea with what?""With just stopping like that? I fell over man. I'm covered in what I think is dust and dirt!"He let out a laugh. It echoed in the hall. I started laughing too. I wiped something off me; it was probably slime. Maybe worse; maybe better. Not soothing at all. "Let's get back." I said between laughs. "Wanna give the door another try?" Charles asked. "We'll come back tomorrow; take care of it then. I'll bring a baseball bat.""What for?""To hit you with if you stop without warning me. And to use for leverage on the handle. Figure it'll give like that."

Eldarwen Entry 1: First Night Alone Entry 2: The End Entry 3: Isabel

Even then it took him time to finally bid farewell but it didn’t take him long to doubt himself, Eremus weren’t meant to leave the desert.
Just a couple of nights away he decided, he could cope with that. He was sensible and an Eremus, the desert life came naturally. All was going swimmingly and come evening, although not entirely necessary he opted to find shelter. It was then for the first time that he truly felt nervous. He wasn’t alone, and the smell wasn’t familiar to his nose.
“You’re funny looking.” A voice stated bluntly, Ori knew he couldn’t simply run now and turned to look at the stranger, strange being the right word. “Me? But you have scales.” The list could have gone on, the wolf’s short legs and long body and tail but politeness told him not to expand too much. “I’m sorry, but why is that?” “I’m a Myou” Came the reply, clearly shocked that the other wolf didn’t know, but they were equally in the blue. “Are you not one too then?” That was surely the only explanation for those camel hooves.
The knowledge of new species was gained for each wolf, and a conversation Ori could only describe as pleasant soon followed. Perhaps he could cope away from home, not even 24 hours and he’d already made a new friend, it was a soothing thought.

Calm perhaps wasn’t the right word for the countryside that night, any animals still outside lifted their heads, anxiety gripping them through the tense air and then suddenly the reasoning for this emotion came tearing past them, frantic calls sounding as they all rushed as far away as possible. He was fairly young, in his mid twenties with a long mess of scruffy hair being his most noticeable feature and he was running, seemingly in escape from something.
Malachy struggled to remember how things had gone this badly, not just now but life in general. Somewhere there was the memory of a scared twelve year old, his mother who had created a safe home for him had died, leaving him with his criminal father to be dragged into the same life. Now he had to run for it, his dad had gone too far this time. The older man was nowhere in sight, already caught perhaps or had set off on a different path, either way there were still two men chasing after Malachy at that moment and he sure as hell wasn’t going to search for daddy dearest just yet.
BANG!
He didn’t feel it instantly, but fell from the impact all the same. It felt like slow motion as he collapsed, and the true pain of the bullet wound never had a chance to set in as another two shots were fired sending Malachy out of the world he had come to hate.

I sat on the landing, Isabel held in my arms, letting out a cheerful sound whilst my roommate, Mark, sat busy shifting through things on his laptop. Downstairs the phone rang, and seeing as Mark apparently had better things to do and had grown fed up with the recent burst of recorded messages that had dialed our number, it was my task to go and answer it. Carefully I set Isabel down and tapped Mark on the shoulder as I passed to make my way downstairs. “Keep an eye on her.” I told him, there was no response though it wasn’t really needed anyway.
I was on the phone for about two minutes when suddenly I heard a loud crash from upstairs, and an awful bashing sound of something sliding down them. “Got to run.” I quickly hung up with no further explanation, unsure if they had heard the loud thud on the other end of the phone. “Frank I’m sorry!” Came Mark’s worried voice and with a sickening feeling I ran to the bottom of the stairs.
There lay Isabel, battered and broken in a heap on the floor. Devastated I lifted her from the floor, completely and utterly speechless. “I had to get my charger and I tripped. I’m sorry, I’ll buy you a new one I promise!” Mark’s frantic voice rattled on. It was beside the point, there would never be another the same as my first guitar.

Seeing as Ori and Malachy are both characters I have, they had a few tables to choose from so made something for the third quickly. Just to note, Ori's story, 'First Night Alone' uses the three bonus words.

My Sister's stories Even when I was a child, I always had a vivid imagination when it came to ghost stories and myths. My sister, Kendra, knew it too scarring me with horrible stories. So, she made it a point of telling me scary ghost stories at two in the morning. Which made me stay awake and my imagination run free.
The last time I saw my sister was when I was eight, Friday the thirteenth to be exact. She told me the story of The Rake. It scared me out of my wits, and she seemed happy by my horror. "Stop it." I said, "The rake will get you!" I told her.
"It isn't real, get over it you scary-cat." She always told me, "Their myths, like the Greek gods, they aren't real!" But I didn't believe it, my decision was made. The Rake, was real. I turned on the lights, grabbed my teddy bear, and armed myself with Barbie.
Suddenly I heard a pound against the wall that formed the boundries with Kendra's room. I immediately ran in a found my sister dead, with a terrified expression on her white face. A note was on the covers that said, "You believe in me, that's why you lived." I let out a scream and started running away from Kendra's room, screaming "The rake did it!!" I did warn my sister... But she didn't listen... - - -

I drummed my fingers against my thighs. It was after dark, and I was getting anxious. It had been three nights since I had been let outside, and it was making me restless. A car alarm sounded. I walked over to the window and sat on the ledge. I looked outside. Completely dark. That was it. I needed out. I opened the window, breathing in the cool air. I leaned out.....
And jumped. A person walking by was surprised to see a boy plummet to the ground. She walked over quickly, ready to call an ambulance, but was startled to see that no one was there. A purple cat walked nearby, casually watching a wisp of smoke curl from where the boy had just been.
A crumpled purple hoodie lay near the cat, the same hoodie the boy had worn. It yawned and walked to the top of the hill it was sitting on, watching the police show up and search for the boy that had jumped from the top of the jail. They'll never find me. The cat thought. For I am Baxter Bane, criminal, and werecat. The cat walked away, melting into shadow.
(This is entry one. Below is the start of entry 2.)
I gasped as I plunged into the icy cold water. It took my breath away, but soon I resurfaced. I was swimming in the camp redwood lake, which was always freezing cold, no matter what time of year. Many of the people here blame it on the ghosts, but I did't even believe in any of the superstitions. They always jabbered on about the stupid spirits, telling ghost stories at night, and so on. I swam for a bit, then got onshore and toweled off. It was getting dark.
I decided to go take a walk in the woods. I jogged over in that direction, and accidentally ran into the camp counsler. He loomed over me, and in the moonlight, and saw that my hand went right through him. I screamed and run into the woods. I tripped and fell down a ledge, but I kept on going.
"Don't be afraid of us. After all, you might as well get used to it. You're one of us now." The counsler said. He pointed to the ledge, and there it was, my body. I had fallen and broken my neck. "Do you believe in us now?" (End of entry 2.)
