rylee . mckay "If you'll be my star, I'll be your sky You can hide underneath me when you come out at night When I turn jet black and you show off your light I live to let you shine." Moving was common for Rylee. She almost never stuck to one place; always walking, always moving forward. It did surprise her though when she approached Lake Amarenthyst. It had been a while since she came to a lake, mostly because she tried avoiding them. The pack that was once her permanent home lived in a valley, right by a lake. They always brought her unwanted memories.
Though now, she hadn't found a creek or river to drink from a little while. Her tongue twitched in her mouth in need of water. It tasted like sand-paper. The smells of pack and lake swarmed into her nose when she stopped along the borders."Damn... A pack." She grumbled. She hated crossing into territories because she didn't want to be chased out. Again, like before. It sickened her heart at the thought of being warded off from yet another place that could be a potential home.
But her need of water got the better of her. Rylee's ears twitched as she stepped over the border. "They won' mind if ah just take a lil drink," her pace had quickened, "but I'd better hurry, jus tah avoid trouble..."
She strode along the firm ground, the bright mid-day sun burning up over head down onto her green and cream back. Her amber eyes burned like fire in its rays. This was one of the days where she wasn't completely tired, which surprised her. Days like this rarely came now.
The weather was absolutely perfect. Nice and warm, but with a nice breeze to keep it cool. Rylee took extra caution as she made her way to the lake, not wanting to attract unwanted attention. She'd just slip in and out. Besides, packs didn't own the water, right? Just the land... She told herself. As the body of water came into view, she breathed a sigh of relief. No one had spotted her so far.
Stepping onto the banks, she lowered her head and lapped at the refreshing liquid. It felt like cool, liquid cold running down her throat, restoring her parched tongue. Once she had her fill she stood up and made a rather pleased sound. Opening her eyes, she watched the waves of the water move back and forth. The sun was beating down on her and her body felt hot. It wouldn't hurt if she jumped in just for a second, right?
She jumped in and began twirling around in the water. The good weather had put her in a good mood. Glistening droplets of the lake water soared all around her, causing a beautiful aura around her body. A smile even began to surface across her maw. Until she began rememebering; again.
It was of Yaz, as it usually was. She could see the two of them frolicking across the waters surface as they chased and splashed each other. It was just after Rylee had joined the pack. The memory caused her smile to fade, amber optics staring right into the empty water underneath her. She didn't fight the memory as it danced across her mind, making her fall back into the dark depths of her soul.
"But you can skyrocket away from me Never come back if you find another galaxy Far from here, with more room to fly Just leave me your stardust to remember you by..." //museless. @_@

He really loved the lake and all... but he was itching for adventure and being a group of rogue's, the young yagi felt that they would move more often. "Guess that's up to Lio huh?" He made his way towards the lake before sitting before it and stretching out to lap up the sweet liquid. At least this tastes much better than the ocean water... not as salty... He stood back up and shook his pelt as he began t gaze around the territory for any familiar faces. His eyes widened when he noticed a familiar yagi across the way. "I didn't know Rylee was part of this pack..." he mused, butterflies in his stomach now as he made his approach.
Crow was careful not to stalk up on her and made sure she could see him coming. He didn't want to frighten her, she seemed somewhat skiddish from when he first met her. Maybe that was just because of the storm though? Besides that it was nice to see another yagi. He put the typical goofy grin on as he cleared his throat to reply.
"Fancy seeing ya here Rylee..." The other yagi mused. He waded into the water with her as he relished the cooling feeling it brought on him. He noticed she still smelled foreign, maybe she recently joined? He shrugged it off as he smiled as her. After all, crow was not known for being anything but overly friendly.
Something seemed off about her when he looked closer. She looked so sad. Why is she so upset? It's a beautiful day! She needs someone to cheer her up! Crow decided as he put himself into her space to help her. To make Rylee feel better. He couldn't stand to see her so distraught.
He brushed up against her and let their smells mingle. Crow couldn't help that it was almost intoxicating... why was that? He felt as if he was betraying Tor for a moment but quickly dismissed it. Tor would have done the same for anyone else... As he nuzzled Rylee's shoulder and swiftly licked her on the cheek.
"What's wrong Rylee?" He asked her, he would've asked if she was okay but he knew that answer was redundant.

rylee . mckay "If you'll be my star, I'll be your sky You can hide underneath me when you come out at night When I turn jet black and you show off your light I live to let you shine." Yaz suddenly stopped playing with her. Rylee also did, cocking her head in curiosity. "Why yah stop?" She giggled as she splashed him. Yaz snickered playfully and leaped forward, tackling her to the ground in the shallow waters. His emerald eyes stared right into her own firey ones.
His face was suddenly full of love and compassion. "Well Rylee, you need tah learn somethin'," Rylee smiled faintly as he immitated her accent, "We'll be togethah foreva... So yah need not worry of me stoppin' anythin'!"
He leaned down and touched noses with her. "Fancy seeing ya here Rylee..."The voice was no longer the one playing in her head. It was a real voice, one she knew. Her head snapped upwards as her mind temporarily severed the memory from her thoughts. Amber optics landed on Crow, wading closer in the water towards her. It took her off guard, but she wouldn't show it. She quickly slapped on a fake smile as he approached. "Hey," she said simply, hoping he hadn't seen her when she was zoned out. She lifted her head and straightened herself. She didn't even think of how stronger she probably appeared from that night when they met. "Yuh, 'm just passin'...through." She slowed the words at the end of her sentence as she realized something; what if he was part of the pack here? She could detect the scents on him. Ears twitching, she lowered her muzzle in apprehension, but didn't let it show through her domeanor. She hoped that if he was, that he wouldn't chase her off. "Naw.. He don't look like th' type that would do that..."When he got closer to her, she got even more uncomfortable. Rylee wasn't used to having wolves so close to her. She glanced around nervously when he still didn't stop; and then he nuzzled her. Her body grew tense and stiff under the touch as her smile faded again. She held perfectly still, slightly startled. No one had even touched her for a long time, especially with something like a nuzzle. And then the lick... The warm sensation on her cheek sent jolts down her spine, a slight shudder. She had forgotten how nice it felt to have someone there for comfort and support. She turned her eyes to him, puzzled. Why was he being like this to her? The sparks dancing across her pelt from his pelt against hers made her almost nausious, overwhelming to someone who had denied touch like that for so long. It felt so good to have someone standing right beside her... "What's wrong Rylee?"The words fell on her audits. Ah, so he HAD seen her. She opened her mouth as if to speak, though shut it abruptly. "He wasn' s'pposed tah see me!" She cursed herself mentally. After a few moments hesitation, she pulled away from his warm pelt. The sparks stopped on her fur. "It's...nothin'. Jus' rememberin'. I'm fine." She looked over her shoulder as she spoke, a small smile on her lips. She hoped she had trained her eyes enough to not betray her words. Rylee did not move back towards him. She waded out of the water, shaking her fur as she stepped out of the cool water. "I hope he ain't part uh that pack..." She looked at her paws for a moment and took a deep breath; hopefully her heavy sigh would release her deep sorrow for now. She didn't want to be sad around Crow; she had to regain her status from the last time they met. Mind working quickly, she reeled in a quick thought. "Hah... I'm prob'ly lots different than when yah saw meh last," she nodded confidently to herself before she turned back to face him. "Fake it if yah have to, just don' let him see." She obeyed her thoughts and put no a perfect show of being ok. "Do yah belong to tha pack here? I promise I was jus' gettin' a drink... I was gonna leave soon as ah was done." She lowered her ears in apology in case he did belong to the pack here. She silently hoped that he would come and stand beside her again; the feeling had left a warm sensation where he had been. It had been a long time since someone showed that they cared about her. She wanted him to care. Leo had been following the river, until he reached the lake. He had ignored the scent border, more out of habit than of any intent. He was from a travelling pack, that often made their way stealthily through other packs territory. You were only ever in the wrong, if you got caught inside the territory. Besides, he had no intention of hunting. He was merely passing through, choosing to follow the source of water, so that he could make his way back easily without having to focus. Right now, he wanted to walk aimlessly, knowing that he could trust his paws to lead him to and from wherever he reached. His mind was busy, mulling over thoughts that were puzzling him. Like, why he had let his power get out of control, and why he hadn’t tested to see if he was still in control. Maybe he should head towards the tundra, at least then he wouldn’t set anything on fire, like he had the prairie. He growled. He was still annoyed that he had allowed that to happen. It was all Nepara’s fault. If she hadn’t attacked him, it would never have happened. But then, why was he allowing himself to have an emotional response? Emotions are illogical, and cause you to burn down prairie‘s. They were worthless. Still, he knew he would return to the swamp once he had finished thinking. The swamp seemed to reflect his current mood, and it made him feel more relaxed. It had nothing to do with the fact he knew Nepara would be there. His tail twitched in irritation. Every thought was leading back to her. It was illogical. He paused, spotting two wolves in the water. He sniffed the air. They weren’t part of the pack it seemed. The female was still a loner, and the male appeared to be a rogue, although his scent suggested he travelled with others. They were pressed against each other in the water, which brought thoughts of him and Nepara, which did nothing but anger him. He couldn’t help but take some selfish pleasure when the female left the water, although he didn’t understand why. A breeze blew his scent towards them, and he realized he had no way of hiding himself. “Well, well. That’s strange, two non pack wolves, in pack territory.“ He snarled. He wasn’t in the mood for other wolves right now. He was probably being a bit too threatening, but he didn’t really care.
