The winter's morning sun beat down on the lake offering little to no warmth to the chilled land. A thick layer of mist hung in the air and with the suns light, sparkled. Avani sat beside the lake, lapping up its icy water contentedly. She wanted to join this pack but she still had no means of speaking in any way whatsoever so the only other thing she could think of was to sit here and wait for someone to come by.
Tiny droplets of water began to collect on her wings and flowers along with her fur. The water was cold and with the chilly air, didnt feel the least bit good. Spreading her four wings apart she beat them slowly to shake off the water listening to the humming noise it made happily. But after a while she became bored, deciding to go look for someone instead of wait for it could take a few hours at least and she was getting chilled.
The scent of the pack reminded her of the one carried by a male hybrid she had met in the cove who went by the name of Siren. She wondered if she would see him here and what rank she would be given for she wasnt sure what she could or what she wanted to do. Nothing that had fighting or hunting, that was for sure. Maybe she could be a healer? She was sure she could remember herbs and such if someone were to teach her. She wasn't sure, she would be happy with anything if it meant she no longer had to be alone in the world.

Rising from the inclination in which their den was situated she stretched, arching her back and expanding her paws to claw at the rich soil that covered the earth. The day would be a beautiful one, already the days were getting longer and the sun was rising earlier each morning. Moving slower to ease the dull throbbing that persisted in her old injury every morning, she let her senses take in her surroundings. The forest called to her like no other surrounding, the rustled of leaves, the song from the birds and the snap of branches as an errant deer quickly passed by the lupus. The richness of the earth and the vegetation was magnified by the humid air and she breathed in deep, tail wagging appreciatively.
Progressively she picked up the pace, jogging with more ease through the dense forest as she headed for the wide open space of the lake, a smile on her face as she took in the passing sights. Everything seemed to be in order, and there were no scents of intruders upon her land. Taking a small detour she decided to pass close to the borders to make sure they were still clearly defined. Acelan had marked them with his own scent, asserting his dominance and warming intruders that they would not only face an angry female Alphess, but her mate as well. Together she was sure they would make a formidable team and a force to be reckoned with, if the intruders did not get loss in the forest first. Frankly sometimes Keinvarii thought the territory was rather beneficial in strengthening their defenses for one who was unfamiliar with the territory could easily find themselves loss and starving within the haunting temperate rainforest.
Reaching the edge of the forest she looked down upon the immense lake, noting with loving eyes as the sun reflected of the surf of the waves that came to fall calmly on the rocky shore. Moving to go and meet the waves she noted movement from the corner of her eye and paused to observe and odd looking wolf wandering about the borders of the territory as though waiting for something or someone. Odd, she mused, she had never seen such a delicate and enchanting looking species before, and as she neared the wolf she took note of the intricately carved dragonfly wings and beautiful flowers entangled in her fur. Was this a similar species to Siren? Perhaps the other wolf was a hybrid of some species relation, either way she did not seem to be up to anything harmful and so the Queen approached her with a friendly bark of greeting. Keinvarii moved close enough to be seen in the mist but yet not so close as to be a threatening presence, her stance rather relaxed as she did not feel the need to assert her position. Inclining her head she said, “Good day, do you seek something? My name is Keinvarii, Queen of the Centena Accord, and perhaps I may be of service?” The other female did not seem loss, so Keinvarii could only wonder what might she be looking for so close to the Accord lands.

As Avani walked through the crisp snow a scent drifted to her on the wind. It was the scent of a female lupus who also carried that of the pack she had wished to join. Excited and more than happy that she would no longer be alone in the world she picked up her pace and headed towards the scent head high with a smile on her face. Stopping when a gorgeous green lupus with deep blue eyes appeared through the mist letting out a friendly bark of welcome. Unfortunately, even though Keinvarii had asked her question she could not or would not answer it or not by speaking at least.
She dipped her head politely to the Queen adding her own personal touch with a sort of curtsey with a twirl of her long tail. Something she had always done that her mother had taught her. She then quickly wrote her name into the snow, something, that by now, she has gotten used to. Hoping the female would take the hint she looked up a calm smiled on her face as she waited for what came next. For her she never knew for with her never wanting to speak her life now was almost like a charade, but then again she never felt the need to speak.
Silence was one thing she had never regretted for she felt that words could make a deeper scar, besides there are times when silence has the loudest voice. She felt that silence could express what words couldn't. It was a flaw she treasured, in a pack it would be a little difficult but she could cope if it meant an actual family.

Why did she not speak, wondered the Queen silently? However she kept silent herself, not wanting to rush the female as perhaps her nature was more shy then that of the straight forward lupus. When the winged wolf gave her a rather elegant bow Keinvarii could not help but smile in response, well pleased with her new acquaintance’s manners. Her approach seemed to suggest she had found what she was seeking, and so Keinvarii could only assume she sought a pack wolf. A future member perhaps? Well the wolf certainly complemented the land and her polite disposition would be most welcome should she wish to seek shelter within the Accord. In return the Queen returned the curtsy with a slightly less graceful bow of her own, though the movement was easy and smooth all the same.
She watched with intense curiosity as the slender female wrote something out in the snow and then gave a knowing nod, so this one could not speak, it might prove to make this encounter tricky, but all the same Keinvarii welcomed wolves of all capacities into her pack. She prided herself on the accepting nature of the Accord, it was a haven to any that thought respite from their long travels as long as some basic laws were followed. “Very well Avani, I think I understand. Might I offer you a welcome to Lake Amarenthyst then?” She paused, debating how to make communication easier for the pair. “Do you seek to join the Centena Accord, we would certainly be open to accepting you within our numbers. I can list some ranks and should one please you perhaps you might nod to let me know?” The Queen sincerely hoped this was the reason the beautiful female was here, for the Queen would look slightly fool hardy sprouting off random ranks.
In a chipper enough voice she began to recite with pride, "We have Pages, Maids, Hunters, Squires, Knights and Savant Healer positions available, Knight, Hunter and Savant Healers are among the Nobles and are the more capable of our wolves. You seem certainly capable; would any of these be preferable?” She waited patiently to see how Avani might respond, curious to see where this wolf might be herself. To Keinvarii’s eyes she appeared more of a Healer, the sight of her flowers and wings was a soothing sight in its own right. The pack was a small one in comparison with some of the greater ones more north, and Keinvarii enjoyed the family feeling of it, however an augmentation in their numbers would guarantee more safety for the land and this was a growing concern for the Queen, especially if she was to have pups in the future.

Avani watched the Queen return her curtsey with one of her own and when Keinvarii gave her a nod she smiled, happy that she understood what she was trying to get at and that it might not be that hard to communicate after all. The Queen seemed to guess at what she had come for, to join her pack and then she had begun to list a long list of the various ranks that were available.
When she had finished Avani thought hard about the ones she had said. Pages, Maids, Hunters, Squires and Knights were definitely not for her she wanted nothing that could put any part of her in possible danger. She couldn't care for pups if she couldn't talk, being a Knight meant fighting and a Hunter meant hunting which both meant she had chances of messing up. She wasn't sure what Squires or Pages were but she was sure that they would be right.
Savant Healer was one that had caught her interest but the only problem was that she couldn't heal she would need someone to teach her everything starting from square one. But then again she had a good memory and could catch on quickly plus she enjoyed helping others. Oh and if needed she could try to grow some special plants in her fur if she needed! So it seemed she had made up her mind, quickly writing Savant Healer in the snow so that the Queen would know what she had chosen. She had many other questions that would be very difficult to ask so she left them for now figuring she'd figure them out in time.
