Baylie wandered, going who know's where. Her mood at best was bored, as she meandered along her paws achy from her ceaseless wanderings. She wondered if she would run into any other wolves and smiled softly at the thought of that. The few she had run into hadn't been very polite to her and had thus given up on the potential of having maybe a nice welcome. She stopped after a while and decided to rest, feeling no need to wander, almost feeling at home here. Shaking the dust off her fur she stretched and sat down where she stood, taking in the scenery and living for the moment. She had learned to do this after being on her own for the time and realizing that every day was a gift, after a narrow escape many a time. That was why it was called the present. She had started to lick her sore paws, her front one bearing a crack in the pads that was steadily healing but still an angry red and slightly swollen crack that persisted and constantly irked her. She often wondered as to why her wounds or ailments healed slower then others but put that thought aside as she always did when she did not like to ponder something closely and enjoyed the scenery.
She had been doing this a lot since she left, enjoying things just to enjoy them. Why? Well why not? She thought to herself after giving her paws the brief rest they needed before getting up and continuing, enjoying the nature around her and marveling at how lush the vegetation was, pausing often to sniff flowers and poke at anything that interested her until she sniffed it, the deep musky smell of wolves. Oh dear, what now? she wondered as she looked around cheepishly, hoping maybe she could find a home here.
She pricked her ears high and had her tail appropriately lowered in a more passive position as she continued on, the need to wander taking more priorities then pausing and waiting for them to find her themselves. Besides, where would the fun be in that? Getting the jump on them might be fun though a bit risky in that sense of things. But it barely made a moment of indecision as she loped along at a faster pace, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes as she slid down the side of the path and onto the small path of sand next to the water, her paws instantly cooled by the damp sand while she continued on her way, leading her scent trail through some interesting places including up the side of a tree where she had jumped off to start the scent trail up a good distance away, laughing the whole way through. Her laugh was like the twinkling of bells, echoing in the silence as she went along her way. The thought then slipped into her head as always, that forbidden thought of what could have been, had she remained in the pack and justified her reasons and possibly explained them the truth. It probably would not have mattered but she wished she had tried.
She shook her fur after she was satisfied with the mess of scent trails she had created and sat down, cleaning her paws and in general lounging about, her paws aching more so then ever. She sighed, licking them now proved useless and only managed to leave a bitter taste in her mouth that no spitting up would remove. It would be well worth it however if she plan worked, the look on their face would be priceless! She cackled maniacally to herself as she rested, too sore to do anything but that.

He adored Ahote, and would never leave the Enclave, but boy did it get cold in the winter. Duchan shivered just remembering the bitter cold winter had brought in and instead enjoyed the warm breezes ruffling up the fur of his coat. His paws hit the ground in silence, his weight evenly displayed across the ground as he moved almost effortlessly through the terrain. By now he could walk it in his sleep, and sometimes he thought he did. Waking up with sore paws often made him wonder if he had indeed been doing more than sleeping that evening.
With Ahote's children almost of age, the pack seemed to be bustling with life. Even still there were no pregnant females, which meant no new puppies for the summer. Duchan liked the furry little puff balls, but had little desire for his own. Plus, he was a hybrid, and he knew that made him infertile.
A yawn escaped his jaw as he wandered along, his ears turned upright, listening. It wasn't a sound that hit him first but more the smell. There appeared to be a lone female wolf roaming around... and Duchan quickly picked up her trail. With huge glowing eyes he followed it to a tree, his nose looking upwards. Why in the world was the female in a tree? Using his claws he clambered up the tree, balancing with the help of his tail on the branch. She had been up, then back down. Was this some sort of joke? Duchan wasn't quite sure if he was impressed of annoyed. A laugh tickled the back of his mind and soon the hybrid found himself leaping from the tree, eyes pointed forwards and nose to the ground.
It wasn't long before he could hear the laughter clearer and Duchan immediately slowed, lowering his body. She may have gotten to play her little trick, leading him all around, but he would have the last laugh. He was downwind, which disguised his scent, and staying within the shadows kept his shimmering fur out of glance. His huge paws gave him the upper hand as he moved towards the female as she licked her paws, cackling for a moment. Right after the cackle, Duchan found himself crouched, and then flying through the air, paws outstretched, aiming to pin the female.
[[ He won't hurt her, aha. ]]

[Alrighty Hiyas, if I do something wrong lemme know kay? ] Baylie had just lifted her head to look around when things appeared to have become a tad too quiet. The bitter taste of the soil still in her mouth but was slowly fading away as all thing's must. And then whoosh! And that would be the very word she would use to describe the event as the big black wolf shot through the bushes and into the air, the sudden presence of the male made her jump before she was knocked over by the impact, not that it hurt really. She chuckled and rolled, trying to get away from him in a very playful manner with that mischievous twinkle in her bright blue eyes. That while not many males were likely to be attracted to her because of how she acted in her old pack but still gave her a impish and very cute appearance to her. Her tongue was hanging out the side of her mouth as her paws though sore were currently ignored as she finally had some company even if his intentions might be a bit shadier then hers, but she relied on her swift feet to carry her away should something occur.

Duchan was flying through the air before his mind registered anything else, feeling his large body impact the smaller female before him. He wasn't trying to hurt her, just startle her, and it seemed to work, as she fell over. Duchan, propelled forth by the movement of his pounce skidded forwards, leaping over her body to get out of trhe way to avoid a sprawling of legs.
She rolled quickly though, giggling all the while. His orchid eyes stared at her once he caught his balance, his claws digging into the ground. He quickly was right on his feet, staring at her. His eyes glowed, even in the daylight, giving him a bit of an eerie appearance. A single brow quirked upwards as he continued to watch her. What an odd little female. She was obviously younger than him, something he didn't mind too much, but she was clearly unexperienced with being a loner. He wondered how long she had been on her own. Such a strange appearance in the pack lands seemed odd to him, but she almost reminded him of a previous female. The grin, the silly look on her face; all pointed to Avalon, the hyperactive lupus who had been in the pack with her very large litter of puppies. She was gone now, but Duchan imagined they would have been the best of friends.
"Well aren't you quite a little sprite," he replied, deciding to take this situation with a bit of laughter than anything else. From her appearance it was clear she meant nothing malicious; she was just young, only just older than the "pups" were now. His long streamlined tail was held high to show his rank, but he watched her with a bemused smile and gentle eyes.
"You made quite the obstacle course for yourself. Having fun?" He turned his head to gesture back at where he had come from, remembering quite well the tree he had just scaled.
"Am I right to assume you're looking for a home?"

(Oo! Okay np ty for telling me that :3 )
Baylie was quickly on her feet, her long legs giving her height when without them she would be considered minuscule almost, almost. Her tail swayed low, not at all high like the large male that had knocked her over, it was all in good nature however she could tell so no harm was done and she didn't feel upset about this at all. From his more mature disposition she felt radiating from him she could recon he was an older guy, with more experience then she had by far. However what made her feel warm was that he seemed to have retained a good sense of humor throughout his life which made her smile. Good for him, she thought to herself as he caught his balance while his purple eyes were watching her and she could almost grasp a question mark that might be forming in his head at her odd behavior which made her chuckle and make her bright blue eyes, twinkling with merry mischievousness she was thoroughly enjoying herself with her little practical joke though it was turned against her when she was taken by surprise but for some reason that was alright with her.
She finally lost her resolve to keep it in when he first spoke, giggling herself silly, and gasping for air from laughing so hard. She felt safe to laugh in his presence, his gentle eyes and smile reassuring her that she was safe. When she had finally gotten a hold of herself he just had to mention her little obstacle course and off she went into a fit of giggles before replying while catching her breath, "Why yes I was having a jolly good time, did you? I do assume this was something very entertaining and different from your usual schedule?" And with that she gave a big grin before the big question was popped by him,
She only hesitated a moment before replying, "If you don't mind... Yes I was. I hope that I won't be a bother if you took me on, if you even are planning on it." She shrugged, her giggling fit now hopefully over as she sat there awaiting a hopefully cheerful response to keep her bubble of happiness afloat for the day.

Things would have ended much worse for her. She was lucky to have stumbled upon the Enclave, a pack which valued females and their contribution to the pack. Plus, Ahote was a kind and forgiving leader, but strict when necessary. Duchan could have gone on about their enigmatic leader, but soon he found himself distracted as she began to laugh. Her laugh was infectious, and soon the hybrid male found himself chuckling back at her. He knew the female meant no harm, and if she did, she was a pretty good actress. But judging by her age, and demeanor that wasn't the case.
She seemed to compose herself before another fit of laughter erupted, and Duchan quietly waited, this time watching her with a bemused smile as she giggled. "It certainly shook things up a bit," he said with a smile, shifting his weight from one side to the other. "Not many wolves give us a good chase. Especially involving trees," he chortled a bit, looking back to where the tree was. This would definitely be a story to tell Ahote when he went back.
She was in fact looking for a home, something Duchan was fairly certain of by the looks of things. If she hadn't been, Duchan would have been worried. Such a young wolf on her own... even with his recent reconnaisance attempts he still knew there were wolves with bad intentions roaming about willy nilly. "Of course it would be no bother. We have plenty of land, and lots of food. My name is Duchanéir Olc, but please, just Duchan, it's quite a bit of a mouthful. This is the Aurelian Enclave, and Ahote rules. I, as well as another wolf, a keiyou, are his right hand men."
He paused, glancing through the territory. "I can show you around and to your new home, but please keep in mind we value the safety and security of females here very highly. You won't be allowed to go hunt big game, or patrol, but your belly will always be full, and you will be well protected."
