The little purple hybrid took in the scenery as she scented a trail of nearby prey. So she was probably still too little to hunt, she would try if the mighty spirit had already gifted her with such powerful paws and such great hunger. Kirai twitched a golden ear, that of almost exact mimicry of her father's action with his own wide and all hearing drums. She was practically silent as she continued to wander through the Ratten Forest. The pup paid no heed to the possible dangers or possibilities the large trees could hold. No, she was not scared of even a dragon, their tales less than amusing to her. Her stomach growled and since birth, it was like she had this continuous hunger, one that would not cease.
"If only you could see me now father..." she mumbled as the plump jackalope sat only meters away from her. She felt a low growl rise in her throat and without thinking, Kirai heard a crunch below her paw. The Jackalope, awestruck by the break in the silence, ran off before the pup could even begin a pursuit. She sighed and peered down to see what had stirred such a cracking noise, only to find small remains of someone else's jackalope... all too soon, a huge smirk formed on the puppy's face.
She licked at it, savoring the flavor, gnawing at the tender bones and remaining flesh. The flavor, oh the taste! Anything to contain her hunger until her father or... what was that other brute's name? Drake something? Draco? Kirai snarled and lashed out sending a piece of bone flying. She couldn't place her finger on it... but she did not like him. Something in her gut and instincts told her he was bad.
"I'm daddy's favorite! He doesn't even like the other runts... why does the rest of our family even exist?" the pup whined arrogantly. " He said so himself, he likes me better cause I'm different. Obviously a better different...hehe, they can keep their yucky family cooties to themselves...yessss. Who needs them anyway? All daddy ever needed was himself. Why did he want to tie himself down to such ridiculous excuses for wolves?" Kirai chuckled evily. Out of a litter you always had that one black sheep of the herd. She was quite unaware she could be that sheep.
"Mmmm, the smell of food. The stench of it brings tears of joy to my eyes!" the exposed blue belly of the little hybrid glistened from the shooting rays that escaped through the canopy of light the trees emitted. She giggled cynically as she covered herself in the rotting remains of the jackalope she had found. Red staining her colorful fur. Kirai took in the smell again and licked it from her toes. She shook her body but the blood clinged to her fur like glue. This did not phase Kirai however as she continued her merry way throughout the forest. Not afraid of whatever could pop up, not bothered that she maybe lost and without a guide, could starve to death.
Not bothered to be covered in anybody's blood.
