Too Young and Too Broken [Loki]

What a wonderful spring evening. The birds were chirping for new life and the jackalopes were hopping quite sporadically...from a certain little crazy hybrid. Her coloration containing almost every color under the sun. Red tipped snout, yellow kissed ears, massive purple coat, minty green tinged paws and to top the icing on the cake, a nice underbelly a soft and dull blue. The pup growled, laughed and pounced at the prey as they barely missed her gaping jaws. For a beginner who barely knew the first thing to hunting, Kirai was not bad.

Panting with excitement the pup skidded to a stop as she took in the air around her. The unknown lay only paw steps from the small hybrid now. She teased herself by jumping in and out of the different tastes of the atmospheres. " Hehe, look daddy... no paws!" she bounced for a moment on her tail almost like a kangaroo ready to bound. Then it hit her like lightning. The pain unbearable, the pup whined and whimpered only momentarily as it played out before her.

Another wolf, a meeting. Something dangerous. Sounded like Kirai's cup of tea when she stood back up slowly and shook the feeling from her body. How long would it be before her prediction came true? Though she had not lived long, she knew who the great spirit was and worshiped them. And it had payed off! Out of all her siblings, she was the only with such a great gift...

The gift to predict the future.

"Yes, just like that mountain in my dreams every night. Kakouma'daiji... I will travel to such lands someday." Her unusually lower pitched voice rang again in the dusty evening. She stood upon a large rock nearby to scan the area just outside the tundra. Where was her predicted friend she was to converse with tonight?

"Mother is silly for thinking I sleep next to them or with them or at night for that matter... heh." Kirai stretched and yawned a bit. The sky littered with stars but no moon was visible. Shame really, she loved to converse with it. It didn't interrupt her or make fun of her... it actually listened and never threatened to touch her either. The pup let out a long low howl in hopes to attract any wolves nearby and to let the moon know that even though it was not out, she was.

Loki disdained the land she crossed. She hated the snow for a multitude of reasons. One she was a thin wolf, which meant the cold bit at her until it reached her bones and two, she bent the light to portray her as ebony. Her coat stood out like nothing else. Her lips curled up in disdain as she moved through pack territory, she did not care if she was trespassing the claims these Alpha's supposedly made had no effect on Loki in the slightest.

She was moving rather swiftly through a thinner patch of snow when the smell hit her. The life energy was far too excited for Loki's taste, she preferred the bitter taste of the darker emotions. They were a greater aphrodisiac to her than the strongest of warriors. But beggars couldn't be choosers, and so Loki sipped at the succulent source, whoever the wolf was, they were young.

Loki plotted through the snow drawing nearer. Through the thick forest she caught the glimpse of a pup. Young and youthful she seemed to be anticipating something. Whatever it was, could not have been her. Loki stalked closer, paws making no noise. She snaked out from between two trees like a shadow and slunk to her full height.

"Such a young, innocent pup, isn't it a bit past your bedtime." The vicious snarl was not meant for exchanging pleasantries. The pup would not last long, Loki intended to suck her life force dry.

The little hybrid quickly spun around and smiled devilishly, not a hint of fear on her body as she began to wag her tail. "I was wondering when you would show yourself... silly wolf. I love what you have done with your pelt. What kind of wolf are you anyways? Are you like me? You don't have wings or extra tails like father has...soooo... who are you?" she was more detesting and curious than anything else. A normal pup would high tail it back to their den. Kirai merely approached the other wolf and sniffed her.

"You don't smell like the other wolves around here... are you an outsider?" A wicked grin spread across the pup's face. She always wondered what it was like on the outside. Always on the run, always looking for your next meal. She began to wonder how she... herself tasted.

"Psh! Bed time? Pleeeeeaaaaase! I go to bed when I want, whenever I want! My mother has three more of us she can't even watch so I can easily slip away when I need alone time. Besides, I stay up at night. Night is more fun anyways!" she giggled, then paused before continuing. "Afterall, I get to meet wolves like you... don't I?"

The colorful pup sat down in front of Loki and stared at her eyes with wonder. She had never seen a wolf with red or pink-like eyes. She found them strangely attractive. Kirai waited for the other wolf to make a move, studying her movements.
