"Speaking" - - - Long dainty limbs of an ethereal nature trotted gayfully across the mossy floor, tiny proud paws barely disrupting the dense blanket of tropical vegetation, their downy cover of dark green fur whispering against dewy leaves. Exotic wings fluttered lazily upon a graciously curved back, a noble arch of an elongated neck and the soft glow of eerie antennas in the semi darkness. There was no breeze to ruffle the gorgeous periwinkle blue fur and sly dual toned eyes looked out with cunning upon the shockingly gorgeous landscape. A long, soft tail twirled behind this godly depiction of a wolf, the painted edges of it swishing rhythmically behind the figure.
Overhead the forest canopy shrouded most of the daylight and setting sun, the leaves were bathed in a deep violet light, scarlet shadows extending like blood across the floor. Creatures cawed and cooed from the hanging branches, the beating of wings breaking the cacophony occasionally to settle down deeper into the jungle. The sennyo glanced around and chortled in his delight, he did so love this dangerous home of troubling beauty, and an unsettling grin fastened onto his aristocrat maw. It was indeed such a dream to live within this paradise, and Daedalus thoroughly enjoyed enhancing his vast knowledge of the fauna and flora in his now permanent home.
Today he merely strolled slightly outside the borders of this jungle fortress, nose in the air as his large ears swiveled here and there to capture the natural music of his world. He'd been a recluse lately, stolen away to continue operations and expirements he did not wish to share with the rest of the pack let alone the world. But know his hunger for knowledge had been satisfied and he needed to re-emerge into the light, even if the sight of this almost magical looking wolf would only be fleeting. After all, he was making consistent use of his invisibility power, honing it into a sharp and practiced tool so that even his fellow pack members rarely sighted the odd wolf. Part of this was to hide from Scorch, he didn't really enjoy being around the Don's energy. Oh it was plentiful and perfectly in tune to the pack's needs, but with his emoticon Daedalus was far more susceptible to other's emotions, and the Don's were a vile handful. For a moment the regal looking wolf paused to rest under the shade of a large elephantine plant, panting ever so slightly as he looked out onto his paradise and drank in the sight as though addicted to the very essence of the jungle. Of course, most that lived in the sinful paradise were, it was an occupational hazard.

Aerodyspyle slowly crept through this wonderful, magical place. He had only just came to this region, and was new here. He hoped to meet more people as soon as possible. The sky had a saphire hue to it. The trees sprung green, the grass was fresh. It was a beautiful evening. It was funny, how, most of the time the setting sun would have more of a golden, orange, and peach hue, but this jungle somehow infused a blue world to spread through the sky, the sun bouncing on it and reflecting the hue to the leafy floor of the Salnero Jungle. Spy had just learned the name of this place. He increased his speed. He would have to go faster if he wanted to reach his favorite tree by nightfall. He started to run. His favorite tree was a large, leafy tree and when he went into his humble little abode through an opening in the wood, he reached the hollow part of the tree where its leaves seemed to wrap him in a cacoon. Since the large tree was hollow, Aerodyspyle had made it his home. Spy reached the tree and crawled through the opening just as he heard something walking delicately through the forest, but not delicate enough that he couldn't hear it. Spy, forgetting that he was in the opening of his tree, hit his head hard on the strong wood. He yelped and stood straight up. Then he sniffed the air. Yes, there was another wolf here. He shook his muddy yellow coat and walked further into the jungle to investigate this intruder. Had the stranger seen his home? If someone saw his home they would surely want to take over it, as he had hid some food he had caught in there. And with no one to gaurd it someone would probably sneak in and grab the food. But curiosity won spy over and he trounced through the leaves, trying to stay south wind of the stranger wolf. Finally he saw the wolf. He looked like he was almost... blue in color with green tinges. He had to antenaes of some sort with glowing yellow tips. A brown circle was around his eye. Or did he just look that way because of the way the sun set? Aerodyspyle's eyes grew wide. "I um...Hello...My name is Aerodyspyle. Just call me Spy. Who are you and where are you headed; what are you doing here?" Spy's eyes now narrowed to slits.

"Speaking" It wasn't long before the rueful Specialist realized there was a fresh scent ever so near to the Mafia borders, although remaining carefully outside it was near enough that Daedalus knew Scorch would not be pleased. There was no law that dictated loners could not establish residence outside of pack borders; however, there was the principle of sanity that suggested living anywhere near Mafia wolves was rather suicidal as a choice. Ordinarily sennyos would not be the ideal wolf to be out on patrol, they were neither physically imposing nor particularly threatening...ordinarily. But Daedalus was not a Specialist in the Mafia out of sheer luck, the cunning wolf had a trick or two up his corrupted sleeve. This gift was known by most as Emoticon; the dangerous ability to control, or influence, other's emotions. In the right paws this could be a most marvelous gift to be used for good but in the wrong paws it became a tool that could very well lead another wolf to their death. Maniacal highs triggering feelings of unimaginable strength could lead to dangerous risk taking behaviors while nightmarish lows could potential triggers thoughts of physically escaping it all.
Of course this little power was not without considerable side effects, the user was unusually in tune with others emotions and could suffer unpleasant consequences. Such was the case whenever Daedalus was around his Alpha -the Don- whose whole being was enclosed in a vile and virulent aura of unbalanced emotions. Luckily, with practice this power could also be controlled, and the positive side to being a species of long life was that the sennyo had been given plenty of time to conquer most of his power and harness it to his liking. Still, he didn't use it unless he considered it necessary, his sharp intelligence and excellent deduction skills served as a weapon on their own, and his power of invisibility allowed him to escape most situations as need be.
Walking along with an almost unsettling look of calm upon his face, Daedalus could feel his antennas picking up strong signals around him, the weather would indeed erupt that night after such a misleading sunset, tonight it would not only be the customary claps of occasional thunder to soothe the Mafia lands into sleep; it would be a mind numbing chorus of sound and rain. Daedalus smiled wildly at the thought, he did so enjoy a good storm and his ingeniously designed den would keep him well sheltered during the show. Wide ears twitched upon his head, picking up peculiar snaps of branches and the caw of forest birds alerting him to another's presence. Perhaps Daedalus would not have to find this intruder, the wolf would come to him; delightful. Cackling, the sennyo whispered musically, "Come out, come out wherever you are...". And Daedalus finally turned around to wait for the other wolf to catch up, his wings fluttering in excited anticipation.
An eremus finally came into sight and the Specialist cocked his head, a brow lifting majestically as he listened to the other male's words. How peculiar to have a loner questioning Daedalus' presence near his own pack lands...He would have to remark upon this and try to understand the theory behind the question, yes this would be an excellent and informative conversation. The bright yellow smudges under his eyes almost glowed in the light of his antennas, casting a manically disturbing glows into the pits of his dark eyes and his maw parted into an unsettling grin of mischief and malice. "My my good sir, do we ever ask a lot of questions, education education education dear Aerodyspyle. It is I that should be asking you such questions, but perhaps I might be best served to bring you up to date on the situation to prevent unnecessary confusion." Nodding in approval, Daedalus gave a small amused snicker, quite content to have a pupil to educate. "I am Daedalus, a Specialist in the Hellion Mafia, the wolves that live over yonder boarders that are so clearly marked and will not be driven down by societal morals. We dominate this area dear Spy, and although other packs honor Loner's safety outside of their lands, we simply don't feel the need to. So let me ask you this, why do you make berth near wolves that will gladly cut your throat while you sleep, steel your food or kidnap your being to serve our humble needs?" Smiling pleasantly as though talking to a close friend, the sennyo sat without concern, preparing for what he hoped would be an intellectually stimulating conversation.

This colorful, cocky little wolf was getting on Aerodyspyle's nerves.Evidently,he thought that he coukd simply rule these parts.Well,it wasn't Spy's fault."I didn't even know there was a pack or anyone living here.If you're the leader,I'm sorry for intruding. But if you're not."He paused,a wicked glint in his eyes."THEN GET OUT OF MY WAY,OR YOU WILL BE MY NEXT MEAL!"He roared those last words. His gruff, mean side was coming out.But only because this wolf had interuppted Aerodyspyle. He hadn't even cared that Spy was new,and surely he would have noticed that because no one had ever seen him before.Spy had never been confronted by a wolf like this, yet the wolf was hardly challenging him.He looked at the wolf with icy eyes."You have no right to tell me where to go and eat.You are a mere wolf, and talk to me again like that and I will rip your head off."Spy knew he really wouldn't do that.He was just trying to be intimidating so this wolf would just leave him alone so he could find the Loners territory.Aerodydpyle knew he wasn't ready to join the pack yet. This weird wolf had two seconds to move out of Spy's way.Spy nosed the ground trying to occupy him with something else so he wouldn't kill this wolf now.Spy had a very short temper, and Daedalus was on the brink of it.

"Speaking" Daedalus had rather hoped for at least an interesting conversation with the loner, it was so hard to find proper intellectuals these days, but alas it seemed he would once again be driven into bitter disappointment. Indeed this new acquaintance seemed to be ruled more by his emotions and temper than anything else, something the Specialist could easily scoff at, and the preceding outburst on the eremus' part only brought a discouraged moue to the sennyo's dashing face. Pity, a right pity it was, now Daedalus would have to resort to more extreme measures to properly educate the Loner, the saving grace was that the Mafia wolf really did enjoy delivering a lesson; no matter the means.
The sardonic little grin on Daedalus' maw widened as the other wolf screeched out his empty warnings, and the sennyo uttered something akin to a giggle in response to the loud threats. Wriggling his brows, his dark pupils glittered with anticipation, antennas bobbing gleefully in the rapidly fading light. It was now time to work some magic and teach the tantrum throwing brute that one simply never should affront a Mafia member without understanding the full consequences of their actions. "Tsk, tsk my fine fellow, what a temper you have there, really I think you should calm down..." With that, the sennyo began to peer at Spy's emotional aura, finding the threads triggering such responses and weaving in a pattern of his own. With such interference it wouldn't be long before the eremus suddenly found himself devoid of any anger what so ever.
Nodding abruptly as he finished his weaving, Daedalus made sure his Emoticon power was firmly in place before proceeding. With a bright and cheerful voice, the sennyo continued, "There, much better wouldn't you say? Now I can accept one mistake on your part, but don't try you luck again dear Spy, or I'll have to resort to more extreme methods of education." The mirthful grin on his face was testimony that Daedalus should like nothing more, he was only giving the angry chap a little chance. Though with Daedalus having dipped his powers into the other wolf's emotions, it would be rather difficult for the fellow to muster enough anger to cause any vile reaction to Daedalus' words. Or sure, the eremus could attack, but the sennyo was fast and also had the power of Invisibility, while the amusing loner attempted to find the sennyo, the willy Specialist would have already begun to tamper with Spy's emotions so that the loner might suddenly find himself terribly prone to fearing every little sound reverberating in the jungle. Naturally after the sennyo was done with his victim his energy would require at least a day to properly recharge, but the right ranks in the Mafia would have been notified about the eremus and would be sent on the field to ensure that the right course of action was taken in response.
Flicking his exotic wings open and shut briskly, Daedalus got down to business, getting up and strolling around the other wolf with curiosity, much as though observing a test experiment. "Now, listen well young one, I answered your petty questions in a rather tasteful show of character. You have no grounds to attempt to boss me around, and perhaps you'd do best to retract your senseless comments before they come back to haunt you. That temper of yours blinds you, it makes you weak and terribly easy to manipulate, what a pity. Speak to me in such a tone again and I will enjoy enforcing some interesting consequences in response." Looking at the Eremus as though he was a speck of no importance in the sennyo's life, Daedalus paused to give the brute enough time to process his words. Done his circling, the sennyo sat back down, rather unconcerned with the eremus' failed attempt at intimidation. "As you are speaking to a direct consultant to the Don, you might want to actually think through your words before you utter them. The Mafia does not have the inclination to allow rude and uneducated beings so close to their lands, it would be nothing for any number of us to simply get rid of you. Make no mistake; however, if you were wise you might try to use this conversation to your favor, the pack always has an eye out for like minded individuals and winning our favor is considerably better for your health..." Daedalus gave Spy a long hard look, slightly disgruntled now that he should have to waste his time teaching this Loner the elementary basics of strategics.

"So true." A casual vocalization would weave it's way down to the wolves. Bain, who had been watching with a mild interest easily bound from one patch of land to another to maneuver the terrain as though she had spent her entire life there, which was anything from the truth. "You should respect those who could clearly kill you without a second though." She added with a snicker as Bain snapped her razor like teeth inches from his soft flank as she lazily trotted up. This was one of the many personalities Bain loved to play around with whenever she met new people or packs. Though, this was only one in an arsenal of many, and Bain liked to utilize all of them.
"See, you're glad you ran into such a kindhearted soul. Had you spoken to me in such a manner, your blood would be glistening in the sun by now." With another snicker, Bain widened her paws and shook herself violently to free her pelt from the debris that clung to it. Once she stopped, she easily sat down, as if she was in a very comfortable situation that she was used to, a sickening smirk cracking Bain's muzzle in two. They were now in a triangle shaped formation, one which could be used to one's advantage or disadvantage.

OOC Comment here or not Scorch stalked his way through the jungle, his shadow powers enabling him to travel quickly and unseen by other pack wolves as his brilliant ocean blue eyes coldly looked upon his jungle kingdom. It was time to initiate some new members, to build up the ranks and unite their strengths once more and the Don was paying closer attention to the borders. Most feared entrance into his pack for once sanctioned in, there was no leaving; however, with a bit of smooth talk the Alpha was certain he could persuade others to change their mind. It was amusing how there were so many souls that were so easily bought, he himself had given his own to the darkness that had nibbled at his heart for most of his life. A necessary evil to survive and dominated in the wild, strength led to success and power whilst weakness left others to wallow and wait for death. The Hellion Mafia promised its wolves their wildest dreams and delivered, but at a rather high cost. Still, Scorch hadn't heard anyone complain yet, he was a very cold and calculated individual, but with his members he could certainly be the charming and ever so pleasant leader.
It really was a matter of principles, Scorch demanded that his wolves display unconditional respect and obey their Alpha's orders without question. In turn, Scorch gave them a haven to be themselves in, power through ranks and a chance to exert their strength upon others. He operated a rather strict pack, but they certainly knew how to have a good party and their consciences need never be burdened with guilt or regret. It seemed like a decent deal to the Don, and the ghost that followed along the necromancy powered wolf cackled happily in agreement. Glancing over, the Don's frosty gaze fell upon the rotting carcass of a wolf, the massive brute with pit less eyes that consistently whispered tantalizing schemes in his ears. No one else without the power could see the apparition; however, it was indeed real.
Following the fresh scent of his lead Specialist, Daedalus, Scorch passed through the Mafia borders and circled around and interesting looking meeting, sticking into the concealing darkness of the shadows. For a moment he watched Daedalus deliver an honest warning to the eremus loner and just as his anger began to build into something dangerous, a female yagi made her burly appearance. Raising a brow as he listened, the Don decided it would be an opportune moment to interject in the conversation. Softly stepping from the darkness and into the wolves' midst, the Don gave the two loners an unreadable glance, stopping to stand with his tail raised.
Scorch's fur bristled slightly as he gave the eremus a harsher look, the loner's insolent words would be taken into consideration. Finally speaking up, his voice ran eerily calm through the humid air, resonating with authority, "Good day to you all, what an interesting conversation you have been holding. I heard someone mention an interest in the Alpha of this territory, how lucky you should be for here I am...So tell me impertinent one, why is this little unpleasant lack of respect towards my Specialist acceptable to you?" Although appearing to be calm, there was the very real threat of danger under the Don's words as he addressed the Eremus, it was now time for the Loner to chose his words wisely. Giving the yagi a contemplative look, Scorch noted dryly, "Daedalus is not a kind individual yagi, he just likes to play with his food before eating it." It was true enough, the bright and rather studious sounding sennyo was certainly one of the Mafia's members with the most peculiar past times, his amicable tone of voice terribly misleading.

Aerodyspyle was still seething at Daedalus' remarks. "I recently joined the Mafia myself, though I did not know that they were living here. So this territory is a territory that I can get to if I please, and I would thank you if you could just kindly move, so that I can resume my journey, though I would just love to sit and chat." Spy glared at Daedalus as two other wolves aproached. One was a Yagi, the other was a Lupus. They were both males, obviously thinking themselves macho warriors, which majorly disgusted Spy. They could not and would not boss him around, the scrawny brute would make sure of that. They probably thought he was puny, well he would surely fix that. Aerodyspyle struggled to keep himself from exploding with anger, as he wanted his honor and dignity intact when he left these idiots. "Hello, gentleman," he said as he narrowed his eyes at the two strangers. "Who are you? More fellow members of the Mafia, I presume." Aerodysypyle almost laughed at himself, for saying 'fellow' members of the Mafia. They were not any comrades that he would like to be joining up with! The Eremus did not want to be thinking himself a macho dork like these three Mafia members. What had he been thinking when he had signed up to join the Mafia? Right then and there, Spy vowed to never have anything to do with these stupid wolves. He would find other comrades to hang out with. But this, this was just too much.

Aero, you haven't made an in character joining thread for Scorch yet, so technically Aero is not yet in the Mafia. This was mentioned in the mafia joining thread, you could use this thread to ask permission icly to join if you wanted. Scorch, a macho warrior? Bah, the notion would have made him roll on the ground in laughter, no, he was something more akin to a macho killer. Although macho seemed like a rather petty adjective for him, perhaps heartless, ruthless, apathetic, cunning, merciless or ravenous killer might have been preferable. But alas, one couldn't always get what they wanted from life, though in Scorch's case he could damn well try. The eremus' words were highly displeasing and indicated that the Don was not dealing with the brightest of individuals. In fact, it just so happened Scorch had been most gracious enough to already blatantly state he was the Hellion Mafia's Don, and by consequence the one who decided who the fuck lived or died on in his territory.
Smirking in pity, the Don noted with dry amusement, "Listen foolish wolf, you are not from the mafia pack, I am Scorch, the Don of this pack in case my previous statement wasn't crystal clear enough, and no one is admitted to my pack without my direct approval." Glaring with eyes made to chill the soul, he added with a bite and a vicious snap of his jaws, "And you can mark my words when I say any wolf that demonstrates such a piss poor performance in such fine company would be thoroughly beaten before ever being admitted into my pack. In other words my lonesome friend, your show of disrespect is repugnant and defiles one of the Mafia's most important creeds. Surely any member of mine would know as much?" Little flames had now begun to dance in the Don's fur, licking hungrily at the air as they reached out to try and find flesh to satisfy their craving for violence. For now the Don's notorious temper was still under control, but if the foolishness did not cease then it would be blood that fell upon the ground long before the rain ever did.
Scorch knew very well that if this wolf exhibited the same attitude towards any other pack, no alpha would accept him into their midst. To do so would be to demonstrate an impressive lack of judgement, and it didn't take a wise wolf to see as much. The Don was a mean son of a bitch by all standards; however, he was by no means an imbecile and was finely versed in the ways packs operated. A wolf that demonstrated such a lack of respect and humility would be insulting to any pack member, let alone the Alpha, and would be cause for trouble unless he learned to alter his ways. In the mafia, one could gain high ranks without too much difficulty, a show of strength, intelligence and respect towards superiors were the three keys to attaining the positions. Thus far, Scorch had seen the eremus exhibit a horrible lack of judgement, a blatant disregard for authority and respect and really, the Don hadn't seen any strength physically or of character from the male either. It was only by chance that he was feeling a little merciful today, he'd give the eremus one last chance to smarten up.
