OOC Information OOC Name: GrimmEverafter Link to Previous Character: N/A
General Name: Shauni (pronounced shah-nee) Alias: Runner Species: Yagi Gender: Female Age: 2 1/2 years old Pack: Loner Rank: n/a
Physical Height: 45 inches tall Weight: 215 lbs Appearance: If a single word had to be chosen to describe Shauni, it would likely be brawny. For a female, she is rather big, with well-developed muscles in her neck and chest. Her legs, somewhat long for her kind, are as solid as the rest of her, but seem more suited for long-distance running than short sprinting. A single pair of horns crests her head, already grown enough to spiral outward, and are a dark, almost burned wood color. Unlike most Yagi, Shauni still has her tail, but it usually never gets in the way when she fights or hunts. Typically, it is held straight out, wagging gently as if in perpetual good spirits. Were it not for her horns and fangs (which are a bit shorter than average), however, Shauni would seem gentle, almost peaceful. Her green eyes always seem sleepy, but behind them is a spark that shows a wild spirit. Her fur is a blend of earth tones, primarily the dusty brown of her belly, throat, and muzzle against the rich brown of her back, legs, and forehead. The fur running from her forehead to her shoulders is a bit longer than normal, and is tipped with a dark brown like her ears and paws. Stripes also run from her face to her tail, and is just dark enough to distinguish from her normal fur color, similar to the 'stockings' on her legs. A patch of rusty orange lies under each eye, a sharp contrast to the surrounding fur, and makes her face seem younger than she is. When running, she has a gait somewhat similar to a deer, head often held down as if charging. Typically, though, this Yagi walks with her head and tail cautiously high, showing that she is quietly confident in her own strength and abilities without seeming arrogant. When she speaks, she speaks clearly, often a bit loudly, in a voice that is both kind and confident. Around pups, she behaves a bit like an older sister, and is typically very gentle and fiercely defensive towards them. Other: Her toes are actually stained a muddy brown from digging, something she enjoys doing almost as much as running. Also, her left ear is heavily notched close to the base, with some faint scars seen in and around the ear. Often, she keeps this ear flattened when listening to someone, making her seem either inquisitive or doubtful depending on her expression.
Mental Strengths: ~For a Yagi, Shauni is thankfully not as overly proud of her heritage, due to her longstanding curiosity of the world. ~She is quite patient with others, especially if they are young or unfamiliar with things. ~Typically very supportive of others. ~Shauni can be very bold, which means she's not afraid to step up and get things done. ~As both a hunter and fighter, she is cunning, but not enough to try and adopt leadership. Weaknesses: ~Shauni can be very bull-headed and stubborn about things. ~Does not like being told she's incapable of doing something. ~Doesn't liked being bossed around by anyone she doesn't respect. ~Can be bluntly honest, sometimes painfully so. ~She is half-deaf in her left ear, which means she has some difficulty when others speak, and on rare occassions cannot hear at all out of that ear. Being ashamed of it, she hides this fact as much as she can. Personality: Despite her loud voice, Shauni typically is a very quiet wolf. She prefers to let actions speak for themselves as opposed to idle threats and promises. And while she is an independent soul, she can be fiercely loyal and reliable to those she calls friend, to the point she would willingly lay her life on the line if need be. However, Shauni has been known to display a bit of a temper, especially towards wolves that use their position or abilities to bully those weaker than them. She typically does not challenge others, but will usually never back down from a challenge put against her. Those who prove themselves as stronger or more cunning typically earn her respect, but she holds an unwavering respect for older and more experienced wolves, trusting their advice first if she is unsure. History: When she was born, not many in her pack expected Shauni to survive. Small, meek, and easily frightened, she was the runt of her litter, and was often bullied by her three older brothers for this fact. But she was determined to prove them wrong, and as she got older, she did everything she could to become stronger. When she was 8 months old, she first found her talent for charging during a scuffle with her brothers, earning the nickname Runner for her habit of running circles around them before charging in. When she was old enough to start hunting, she perfected this skill until she was fully capable of knocking a fully grown deer off its feet, provided she could bash into its side as opposed to its front. Overly proud and bold at that age, she once attempted to do such, and only ended up nearly losing her left ear to a buck's antlers. Once she was 2 years old, she had already established herself as an effective hunter and fighter, changed so completely that not many could tell she was a runt in the first place. But Shauni wasn't content spending the rest of her life competing with the rest of her pack, and she made the decision to go off on her own, more or less out of her desire to see what the world offered. Hello Grimm & welcome to the world of Wonderwhy! My name is Somatra and I will be going through the review process with you and am very excited to do so, I hope your time with us is not only creatively endearing but buckets of fun as well! Alright, so to answer your first question regarding using a stand in picture, the answer is yes if the next requirements have been met: (a) You must receive permission from the creator of the picture and include a watermark somewhere on the picture indicating who made it -permission is still required- to ensure that copyright codes are respected. & (b) The image dimensions must not exceed 500 pixels or 100 pixels (if an avvie). The first thing to change is your display name, your ooc name is mostly for identification purposes within the CBOX and OOC activity, your display name should feature the name of your wolf -Shauni- and can be change if you go to your profile. Your physical description shows that you've definitely read over the Species Guide which is very appreciated and all seems to concord with the site's guidelines, excellent! Your Strengths and Weaknesses are well thought out, however for ease of identification (and to make writing profiles easier)could you list them in bullet form please? You don't have to describe each -of course if you want to that is perfectly ok as well, hooray for added initiative-, mostly the Personality section is for that, saves members from doing needless writing if they don't want to. So, no need to get rid of what you wrote, however could you list them underneath? Otherwise things look great, just fix those couple things and reply here so that I can set you up for rp-ing "au plus vite". Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to pm me! Somatra
