The sun was on the rise, shining down on the Tundra. A black spot lay in the Snowy Hills, on the side of one of the many hills. At first glance, it would seem nothing more that a shadow. Until suddenly you notice the faint breathing. The shadow rose from the snow, shaking out her misty black pelt. Her appearance unreal, mythical even. She seemed to be something out of a pups nightmare. A being from the times of old.
The face, heart-like in its shape, turned to the rising sun. Her face making her seem loving in nature, but showing a deeper strength. A jet black nose pointed up to the sky. This action revealing a small pink spot in the center of her nose. It was a smaller heart. Her eyes opened slowly, revealing themselves to be both beautiful and contradicting.
Her left eye was a bright pink, seeming warm in color. The golden flecks in her eye catching the light and seeming to invite any that watched into her. Yet, her right eye sent warning to those that dare watch her. It was a darker red in color, that seemed cold. This eye held a piercing stair that could chill any wolf to the core. Silver flecks glint in the sunlight, warning of some deeper evil within her.
The Lumen she-wolf shook out her thick coat. Then, calmly smoothed it down to reveal her slender and muscled body underneath it. This giving her a weak appearance to those that stood nearby her. The sun hit her tail tip, exposing the single white hair. This added a touch of softness to the sight of her.
The she-wolf moved effortlessly across the snow and to the far side of the hill. There the shadows still ruled and she could hide herself without much effort. She slips silently into the shadows and vanishes from view. She wished to start her own pack here on the Tundra. First, the wicked female needed a wolf to manipulate into helping her do so. Ani sat to look at the hole she had already dug.
Empty.
A long sigh escaped her maw as she lay back in the snow to think. Then it dawned on her what to do. Another loner, maybe one with her same goals, may come if she plays her cards right. She moves back into the sitting position, though grudgingly. She had to chose her words right to play her game the way she wanted. Slowly, she tilts her head back and howls. Her song filling the air.
Darkness breaks, Moon awakes, Night now brings the stars it makes.
Moon beams fall, Light up all, From silvery woods there comes a call.
Grayish blur, Shaggy fur, Food is this night creatures lure.
Brown deer, Very near, It is brought down full of fear.
Deadly bite, Very tight, Every wolf will feast tonight.
I call to you, Help make This true, Come make a world new.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][tr][bg=black]The yagi trudged along the snow lands as the wind buffeted his thick coat. He sighed as his lifeless eyes wandered along the horizon of the tundra. Why was he bothering traveling? Guess it was a better idea than watching his best friend's corpse decompose. He couldn't bring himself to talk to anyone about it or talk in general since the incident. The typical yagi would never be the same.
His feet made soft crunching noises as he continued through the snow. His horns much larger and longer since he first met his best friend in the cove. He would never had thought he would be the one to end her life. Now he just dreaded the day he fall for another female, if that was even possible at this point. He let his body fall into the snow, the cold engulfing his burning face as the tears slowly seeped out again. Then he heard a howl reach his ears, as tempting as their song was, the yagi was not in the mood to reply back or sing.
Maybe, he would never speak or sing again. There was no reason to if she was gone. In fact, maybe he should just lay in the snow and let the cold take his body away. But would she want that for him?? He had to keep trying, whatever motivation was driving him, he wanted it to keep him alive. Maybe he could find some food in this foreign wasteland.
The yagi got to his feet slowly as his legs began to move on their own. He wasn't even sure where he was going or why, what was he going to do without her? He needed to move on, but could not bring himself to forget all the broken memories left of her in his mind and how she screamed at him. That scream would not leave his thoughts. It tormented his every living and breathing second.

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch
The sound of paws on snow. A sound she hardly ever heard in the silence of the Tundra. Ani lowered her head slowly closing her maw. Had her song worked?
Wait, the pawsteps will lead them past me at this rate... I should have known that no wolf was crazy enough to come to me... Maybe... Maybe I should go to them... The wolf would be surprised to see me... I can at least meet someone knew... But what if... Fate had other plans for me?
The seemingly living shadow decided to try her luck.. Her odd eyes, so intent on her pit, closed, shutting out the rest of the world. But even she couldn't ignore the cry that sounded in her mind, a familiar voice, and she longed to open her eyes and bury her face in his fur.
Oh Wise.. I need you..
No... She couldn't break... She'd tried so hard to console herself, and so it should be easy to console herself again, correct? Breath in.... Breath out... Breath in.... Breath out... The pretty black wolf focused on her breathing, controlling it, centering herself, trying to calm herself.
Then, she stood. Her paws carrying her to the top of the hill. There she looked down at the wolf.
What had Wise told her? I know that fate is a harsh mistress. No matter how much we try to deny it, the world catches up to us in one way or another, and many wolves... are exhausted by the time it does. Yet others, strong wolves like our darling mother was, little one, are hit with much more force than the weak, and they go down fighting. I know this is hard for you, but our mother would surely want us all to remain strong, support each other. Grieve today, live tomorrow, otherwise you'll get caught up in the past and will only come back to the present when it's much too late.
Ani had to laugh at this as she moved gracefully down towards the male. A Yagi male at that. Something was off with him though. He was already broken. The soft spot, way deep in her black heart, surfaced and her eyes softened.
In.
Fate is a harsh mistress. Yes, yes she was. And fate had led them all to this moment. Now she was worried for the sake of a wolf she knew nothing of.
Out.
The world catches up to us in one way or another. It had caught Star, after all her sister's suffering... She'd lost that race.
In.
Strong wolves... are hit with much more force than the weak, and they go down fighting. Fighting... Star had suffered this long for one thing, it seemed. This wolf rminded her of Star. Yes, Star had gone down fighting, fighting hard, and her memory now lived thanks to Ani.
Out.
Remain strong, support each other. That was all they could do now. There were lives to build, lives that had cost so much to bring into this world, to protect from the next. Ani reached the wolf and lowered her head. Star would want her to help him, even if he wasn't Lumen.
In.
"Grieve today, live tomorrow, otherwise you'll get caught up in the past and will only come back to the present when it's much too late," she says without greeting him. Yes, he was grieving and the frozen tears showed it. "The past is a confusing muddle of pain and pleasure, sorrow and joy, life and death. To linger would be to loose oneself in the waves," she adds.
Out.
She sat to look at him. Pain was still present in the depths of his eyes, but no longer was Ani hurting inside, dwarfed by the waves. She looked him over and wagged her tail faintly. "Grieve today, live tomorrow. My brother told me this. It helped me when my sister died," she whispered softly, "Remain strong, support each other. This would work if you have a friend to lean on," A big ask... But she would try her hardest, she would fight, just as Star had done.
She turned her attention to her paws, feeling those waves crash against her once again, trying to sweep her away at the sight of the broken snows, defeated form. No, she had to fight. Gently, she nuzzled his shoulder, murmuring, "She kept fighting... We... could never expect her to continue her winning streak forever... She... would of been tired... So we had to let her go.. Now.. It is your turn to seek power in the future and leave the past.."
Ani felt foolish, but he was like Star. He needed help and, well Ani needed someone around.

All in one swift movement, the cold wasn't so cold anymore. Life flickered in his umber eyes for once since the incident on the beach. He instinctively pulled back from the foreign wolf. Who was she to tell him how to live life? "W-who, just who do you think you are?! Wh...what do you want?" He coldly replied as he spun around to get a good look at her, a lumen?! He had heard they carried magical properties if you caught them. But he was certain Tortoiseshell would not appreciate his greed if he brought her back.
The wind whistled through the snowy lands, his thick coat protecting him from the cold. "Don't act like you know who I am stranger. I do not know you, so we have obvisouly never met. Unless you know something about me that I do not?" Crow felt a growl rise in his throat.
This is no way to greet someone who cares.. he thought to himself as he debated calming and possibly making a new friend. But this new persona, it told him otherwise.
No! It's a trick! She was sent by someone to figure out your deep secrets! Kill her too while you still have a fighting chance... catch her off guard! This new demon forming in his head growled and barked. He felt his fur bristling as his unstable state was on the verge of breaking again. The steam from his mouth lifted into the atmosphere.
No one will miss someone who is so careless in a winter wasteland, just do it!
Then, he snapped.
And for the second time, he lost control. It had only been a day or so, who could blame him?
Everyone could.
Ba Bump
Ba Bump
His heartbeat quickened as his sight was blinded by rage. Why can't I control my body.. my soul? Why am I so lost? The yagi whimpered inside himself as the monster came out at full force. Please move! Don't let me make the same mistake twice! He cried out, but it was not a warning heard to the outside world as a low snarl emitted from his throat, his body lashing out after the black shadow that so dearly needed to vanish. His ember eyes wide with bloodlust.

His movement was sudden, but she caught what he was doing in time. The shadowy she-wolf let out a low growl and jumped away from him as he raced forward. She landed wrong, though, and was sent tumbling into a snow bank.
At least you are alive. Stupid girl.. Stupid wolf! Her thoughts raced as she pulled herself out of the snow. Ani looked at him and blinked faintly. Slowly, she shook the snow from her pelt. Her odd eyes fixed on the wolf.
"What was that for? I only meant to help sooth the hurt in your eyes. You would attack me?" she says in a low tone. Her heart racing as she spoke. On the outside, she was calm, collected, and beautiful. Looking ready for anything he tossed her way.
Ont the inside, she was a mess. Panicked, scared, wanting to flee. She was hiding it all well though. A Yagi would not cause her to run off like a scared pup. She let out a low growl and narrowed her eyes.
"What is wrong with you puppy?" she asks sharply now.
Die, withdraw, hide in cold sweat, quivering lips Ignore, remorse, naming a kid, living Wasteland This time you've tried all that you can it's turning you red Change my attempt good intentions Should I? Could I? Here we are with your obsession Should I? Could I?
