It was finally time, and the white eremus was overjoyed that it was about to happen. Tonight, after this meeting, she would be leading a pack with two others by her side. Her smile stretched like her body from one side of her muzzle to the other. I can't believe it! I'm finally gunna start my own pack! I never dreamt I would get this far! Yet here I am! Her excitement paused as the air grew thick with humid smells of the familiar swamp lands. She took in it's scent, it would soon be mingled with her own pack's scent. The land was ripe for the taking, the last pack long gone and dissolved. It was still faint on the beaten pass she crossed through to get where she stood now. Her camel hooves padding softly as her blue eyes opened, her face in awe at the odd insects that came out into the night to greet her and glow around her.
"Who... what are you? I've never seen creatures that bring life to the night like you..." Nepara paused again for a moment before one landed on her snout, she stared back at it as it's tiny feet tickled her. She giggled as an idea came to her. "Nyx, you are the Nyx.. are you not?" she formally addressed the bug as she attempted to bow for it, the insect quickly fluttering into the air above her. Another one came by her as swiftly as the other had ascended. This one a different color, as were many more that started to blink and glow.
"It's as if you came to be because you knew about tonight. About... about Sono Nyx. Yes, you shall be with us throughout the night to guide us... to lead our carefree journeys into the abyss of open minds. Sono Nyx, I like the sound of that. We shall celebrate the night... together." she almost mumbled.
As the moon began to hit it's peak, the lone wolf began to wonder if the sennyo had left her out in the cold, she had not seen any of her friends recently now that she thought of it. She was busy discovering all the swamp had to offer. Maybe, hopefully, the other two wolves would show and they could make a pack to run the land together. A pack that would live a long history, with them as their creators. All thoughts of little paw prints in the marsh met her ears, to have generations call this place home... it brought an extra beat to her heart. One that she hoped Revontulet and Artellia would understand too. After all, that was the whole reason they were to meet tonight and form this pack, was it not?
"A life free from most responsibility, freedom to choose your own path, not to be tied down to a life of harsh training and living up to other's expectations. No. The Nyx will not be like that! We shall be as wistful as the Nyx themselves..." she watched them twirl and dance around her, their glows making an artificial rainbow on her white pelt. She giggled again, feeling silly for forgetting to make the call to let the others know she was waiting for them on the lone meadow near the Pass. Hopefully, they had not went by her already.
Finally, she let out a long and low howl to reach across the swamp. The call that meant she was awaiting her fellow founders, that she was ready to start a new possibility. A new pack.

Speech | Think | Walk The heat of the wetlands might have been stiffling for some, the humidity was high and the hum of consistent noise by the water could have been found aggravating. However, the to crocodile monitor myou, Artillia, it felt much like a haven of imeasurable qualities. She could sleep in the sun through the hottest moments of the day and then wade into the waters where there was always plenty of fish with which to fill her stomach. She had not taken any male since Tsunami, he remained her one real love but sometimes she still yearned for the male company in the darkest moments of the night. She had smelt Nepara in the area, heading towards the deeper part of the wetlands, but had remained solitary, needing the time to amass her thoughts and repose in the safety of the environment. Her second soul loved it here and was flourishing, most often times she did not need to bicker with the crocodile monitor and the lack of responsibility or obligations here seemed to suit the pair of souls rather well. She knew Nepara would be forming a pack soon, if memory served it was to be a most unusual and yet terribly satisfying one bent on having the most fun out of life. Well that was most convenient for Artellia, she'd answer the call when it went out and enjoy life in the meantime.
Artellia did not have to wait long for one faithful evening a howl arose over the waters she had been swimming in, reaching her ears and calling to her. Rising with lean and lanky strides, the myou swished her long and powerful serpentine tail behind her to help hoist herself out of the water. Her long claws raked upon the soft earth as she got used to the addition weight that had returned after swimming and then pressed on into the brush and through the night. It wasn't long before she smelt Nepara and shortly after that the trail led her to the waiting Eremus whom was surrounded by a most charming bug, the Nyx. Uncoiling from the brush in a suave manner, she let a winning grin of greeting siphon onto her delightful maw. "Hello mah dear, how's the night treating ya'll? Ya rang?" The southern tint of her voice had come back full force and the heady sense of lazy joy was finally back into it, the wet lands had been good to Artellia and she had the intention of staying in this shelter.

She nodded in greetings of her old friend from the tundra. They had both been abandoned by what used to be and what could be. They were misfits with a passion to be original, a passion to be something different. Artellia was always loyal and there for her when she needed her. Today she would be more than a rogue or loner, she would be part of something bigger.
"Why yes I did Artellia, it's a pleasure to see you're still hanging around even after waiting so long for my call. Please excuse my tardiness, times have been a bit rough trying to pull this idea altogether. But I finally think we can make this dream a reality. I wish to ask you join me in this fruitful matter. Would you take up arms with me in the swamp as the Sono Nyx? The pack of the freedom and glory of the night?" Nepara asked honestly and proudly. Her chest and posture upright, one of someone who held hidden power.
The glowing nyx circled her and the other wolf now in a circle. They lit up in various colors, spinning in patterns and lighting up the small patch of land in the center of the meadow the two wolves stood on. "I could never had imagined I would be the one to bring out the true beauty of this land to other wolves eyes. These little nyx are truly amazing creatures. It's as if, they marked this day for when we would all come together here and form a pack in their name. If only they might guide another wolf to our home so that we may hold up a light in the darkness.." The white eremus blinked towards the horizon as it was littered with the various bugs colors. She howled once more, stating that the formation of a new pack was happening, as her muzzled reached for the sky, her black lips forming a perfect circle as her voice radiated across the meadow to all and any wolves wishing to seek them.

It was sticky, rather disgusting in her mind, to have her fragile body in such a dangerous place. However, her heightened senses allowed her to keep out of danger as much as possible, and even her one good eye allowed her to see what she usually would not be able to. She enjoyed this place. It was dark most of the time and that was a good thing for her, considering she was easily blinded by the sun. After, the sun was the sole reason she had lost her sight in her left eye to begin with. When she had learned to fly, she had flown too close to the sun and she had blinded her one eye. Because of the time she had been spending in the sun as of late, even just to find herself a place like this to stay, she had begun to go blind in her right eye as well, but the reddish coloration of it was still visible, even though her left was a milky shade of blue.
Dominique had herself nestled gently in the roots of a tree, gazing out at the nothingness of the Muskeg Meadow before her. It was rather beautiful, unlike herself, but she was not intent on the meadow itself. She was focused on the small glowing bugs that were dancing around it. They were like a moving rainbow, much like her feathers even, and they made her smile. She supposed they were one of the few things that calmed her when she felt as though she was going to be killed at any instant. She was a paranoid soul, and that paranoia came back to her very quickly when a howl resonated the area she was in. Panicky, she looked around the meadow only to find a rather pretty Eremus standing there, having called out to someone, to others about having starting a new pack.
How had she not noticed her before? Her heart pounded painfully in her chest as she thought of these things, racing even faster when she heard the call of another wolf, and moment later the Myou appeared. She could only guess it was a Myou, because she had never seen any other species of wolf like it before. She felt her body instinctively tuck further into the tree roots that she had nestled herself into, her rainbow shaded wings forming something of a protective shell around her as she hid away. Just because they were here to start a pack didn't mean anything! She didn't want to leave...it was home to her, dark enough for her to live in without going any blinder than she was at that moment. What if they were after her feathers? They did grant wishes and she was extremely antisocial because she had been chased often for her feathers. Whenever one fell off, she made sure to discard of it.
Wait...a pack? That could provide some solace for her. She would be able to stay if she joined the pack...wouldn't she? She knew nothing about these wolves, but she was intent in finding out. Her legs trembled as she crawled out from her perch, revealing herself in what light the Nyx created for her, padding closer to the two wolves. She wasn't sure how this worked, so she released a small howl in answer to the Eremus. She quieted herself quickly, waiting for her own body to be noticed. However, she kept her wings at the ready, staring on with her one blind eye and one going blind eye, preparing to fly off if she needed too. Yes, her paranoia was probably her worst trait.

Speech | Think | Walk Artellia sat down and lightly raked her claws along the soft earth, enjoying the feel of the humid ground yielding beneath her paws. A couple of those bugs that light the night up came to surround her and she lazily batted her golden eyes in their direction, wondering what might happen if she squished one. Of course she did not, the glow they cast on her thin and sleek fur that was rough at the edges almost seemed to generate something akin to sparkles, and she found the sight rather endearing. This place was certainly gorgeous at night, and cooler, so the southern tempered myou could bask in the sun and swim languidly in the river during the day, taking her time to leisurely primp herself for the activities of the night. Naturally she needed to hunt a lot, her body needed an unusual amount of sustenance to remain healthy and with no male to enchant into doing it for her, Artellia was quite left to her own devices.
The myou's tail came up to curl elegantly behind her, small and dainty ears perked forward as she listened to her friend speak, feeling a sense of mounting excitement in her stir at the joyful new. To be part of a pack that so suited her needs and catered to that free flowing side of her that most other pack's rigid structure squelched was an appealing thought. Lifting a paw she began to sharpen her long and thick claws upon a rock, a wolf manicure as she formed them into perfectly structured weapons. Her second soul afforded her an additional artillery of defense, the long tail that snaked above her head was but one of those advantages. Grinning with pleasure, Artellia replied, Ah should be most pleased to accept such an invitation my dear. Why, its only our dreams comin true, now all we might be needin' is some dashin' hunks to keep us amused." She nodded her head in some form of acknowledgement, for it was the eremus that had lead them here, and so she was the pack's leader.
Just then the sound of what might have been ruffling feathers redirected Artellia's focus, and she wondered if a bird might have wandered close enough for her to catch and eat. Turning her bright gaze sideways, she came to behold a most unusual sight as rainbow plumage -the type to make parrots ashamed- came to move out from the shadows. Quirking an interest brow, she wondered just what type of wolf this new arrival might be and if this was the other one hunting prey in the area. "Why hello there darlin', a pretty thang like you shouldn't be hiding her colors in the night. Come joins us ladies, we make for a pretty fun time." She extended the offer warmly, completely oblivious to the powers that the wolf's feathers concealed and simply interested in continuing with the conversation.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][tr][atrb=background,http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq254/Eldarwen5/Wonder%20Why/Gifts/Nepara1Mid.png]The white wolf turned as she heard another howl in the distance, the colorful wolf coming into view as she approached the other she wolves. Her pelt was splotched with various brown patches with rainbow colored wings. If Nepara didn't know better, she would have thought the other loner was a messenger of the gods. Her feathers gleaming unnaturally and radiantly. She felt her ears lengthen and stand tall, her legs shortening a bit without her consent. She giggled as her myou friend introduced them to the new pack mate.
"You are so hospitable Artellia, in fact, I like that name. Chosen of Hospitality. It suites you well. Please, do not be afraid, were merely here to spread excitement and celebration. You may call me Nepara... and this is my good friend Artellia. We have found sanctuary here in the protection of the swamp, and are looking to make it our permanent home. If you value it as such, we would be happy to have you in our family." the eremus explained to the new hybrid.
Nepara swung her now elongated tail as she was amused by Artellia's words. Yes, it would be lovely for them to have more members, especially males. With a group of only three females, there wasn't much chance of them having a future for the pack. Thoughts of Orivir entered her mind and she had to hide a blush. It's not that the female eremus didn't have a choice, she was simply picky. All she wanted was a family of pure blood. She had nothing against other wolves and hybrids, she just grew up that way. With Orivir as the only suiter, she wasn't sure she would have much other choice regardless. It was a shame he had to leave so soon only after meeting her.
Realizing where she was again, Nepara turned to the hybrid with a curious glance and a wave of her tail. "I would love to know the name of such a beautifully colored wolf like yourself.." the eremus smiled towards the she wolf. What would her powers be, and why had she come to their call? As strange and different the new wolf was, Nepara was quick to accept her. The white eremus had known what it was like to be different, to not fit in. Maybe this wolf felt the same. The nix continued to circle them as the night was in full swing.

They seemed nice enough. Maybe they didn't know anything about her feathers, about the type of Hybrid that she was. But...what if they did? What if they were just pretending and acting as though they meant no harm just to get her feathers from her? She had a major paranoia problem...that much was obvious to anyone that decided to get to know her. There was a reason she avoided talking to anyone, stopped herself from being seen in the daylight. Her feathers gave off a special glimmer in the sun, proving the fact that they were indeed filled with magic, and that was the reason she was mostly active at night time. Not to mention that being in the sun for too long could make her even more blind than she was. She was losing her sight in her right eye, her left having no sight at all, so daytime was dangerous.
She swallowed the massive lump in her throat, taking in the appearances of the two the best that she could. Her lack of ability to see in general made it hard for her to take in their appearances as a whole, but she was far from inclined to step any closer to them to find out. She did not trust them, they were strangers to her. It would take time for her to trust anyone in general. She found it hard to do that at all. She should even live farther north...where it was dark most of the day and where there were clouds most of the time. It would make it easier to fly, something she loved to do, but it was very hard when she had hardly any sight at all. There was a reason she liked the swamp. There was water everywhere and, with her enhanced hearing, she could tell when and usually where something moved.
Pretty...thang? She'd never heard anyone talk like that...but she had no right to judge. She was just as much of a freak as anyone else in the world, leaving her no room to judge the accents and such of others. She paced closer to them, coming to stand close. They seemed safe enough, but she couldn't be sure. She decided she needed to relax a little bit. They could be of some use to her, at least as far as protection went. She was better off in numbers, quite honestly, especially with how physically fragile she was. She gulped again, speaking with her soft voice, "Uhm...I am...D-Dominique, a...uh...hybrid." She wanted to see their reaction to that. Not many people were very accepting of hybrids, especially not one like herself. "C-Call me Domino... Uhm...is y-your p-p-pack open to s-s-someone like m-me?"

Speech | Think | Walk Artellia's golden eyes flicked back over to Nepara, the black slit in her eye appearing far more reptilian than wolf and nodded her approval. Oh yes, the female were going to start their own pack and the crocodile monitor myou was unabashedly excited for the coming of a new chapter in her life. In the past she had been a mere object, used to being manipulated and flaunted for her exotic looks and sported as a trophy until that which time a male became bored with her. Then she would pick herself up and continue on to find another one; yes she had sought them out, flaunting herself for them to see because she knew that with a male by her side she would be temporarily cared for and sheltered. So this new pack meant far more to her than a place to stay, it was independence, freedom and liberty, an expression of her personal strength.
Artellia's tail came to uncurl from the air, rather long and slender it curled around her body elegantly as she smiled in welcome. Why thank ye kindly love, Ah am most grateful to accept such a rank. And yes Dominique, do feel free to join us, us ladies like to have a good time and the more the very merrier. The world's a hard place my dear, us females got to stick together now." The myou laughed, a heady and warm sound as she nodded to her own words. There were strength in numbers and their budding pack could certainly use more wolves, not to mention ones that were nice to look at.
For a moment Artellia felt a bit envious of the bright and gorgeous plumage, however it passed quickly for the myou knew she had enough of her own attributes to be content with herself. Not to mention, she was discovering that she wasn't as vulnerable as she had thought; no Artellia had a healthy weaponry of defense of her own. Slightly longer front fangs, thick and elongated claws that pointed to a deadly tip and longer toes that helped with her balance. Yes, she was a proud wolf and had gained a lot of self worth in the past year, and she sat contentedly at Nepara's side.
