It was peaceful and he enjoyed the feeling of the forest. Though he had not intended to cross the border of the pack, he could not help but feel the leaves and branches tugging at his heartstrings. The musty scent of the dirt and the other plant life seemed to envelope him much like the clouds would to the sky, blocking out the sun. It was almost intoxicating and he was enticed by it. Under his feet, he could feet each piece of moss that rested on the ground and his claws dug eagerly into them. It took almost all of his will to not take off from where he stood, to run through the forest and discover what was within. He knew he could not. He was already in their boundaries and that could cause trouble for him. He hoped any situation or trouble he may have caused he would be able to dissipate it quickly. The last thing he wanted was to cause ill-blood between himself and a pack.
Nathaniel lifted his muzzle and sniffed at the air as he had done time and time again in the last several minutes. He was surprised no one had come to confront him yet. He was technically trespassing, something he thought to normally be a trial worrisome for packs. He could be a threat, a danger to the pack. He could be a killer, an invader, or even a spy. He wasn't, though, and there was little reason to be afraid of him. His horns were tall and branched out like the trees above him. The spines trailing down his back and protruding from the elbow-like areas of his legs as well as his saber teeth could certainly make him appear dangerous. He had been a killer at one point, after all, but it was something he had long left behind in hopes of starting anew. Instead of joining a pack awhile ago, he had stayed away from packs and wandered alone for so long.
But what if he joined this one? It would feel lovely to have a purpose again. He'd had one a long while ago, but it had been a purpose he couldn't stand and it had been one that pained him. His Dreamwalking ability was useful and it was something he'd had since birth. It was a useful power, though things could very well go wrong if he wasn't careful. After having it for so long, he was quite skilled with it and an accident wasn't likely. He didn't tell people of this power, but wondered if the leader of this pack should know of it if he intended to join. At this point, he did, and he didn't want to be rejected by them. Of course, that was still a possibility, considering he was trespassing. The forest was just so beautiful, though, and he could not help stepping underneath the canopy of serenity it provided. He could hardly imagine the winters here when no snow touched the forest floor. The branches above were too thick.
The Yagi sighed and sat back on his haunches, sitting up straight and proper. Tilting his head back and lifting his muzzle into the sky, he released a strong call, a howl of summon, 'Oh rulers of this land so beautiful, I ask of you to grace me with your presence. I intend to join your pack, if you will allow me the honor.' The howl ended. Honestly, it was the nicest thing he could say, and it was a set of words he said often. He just hoped he would be accepted.
