The little shape was one of the Heirs to the King and Queen and she was chasing a friend towards the water, with happy yips of excitement. Aeslin’s pink nose came to peek above the reeds, sniffing at the fresh spring air as her cobalt blue tipped ears perked smartly forward. She had slipped out from the den area, this funny thing she could do where no one would see her anymore had helped her to slip past, her friend had told her to use it. What Aeslin would eventually realize was that she could become invisible, though at the moment the best she could do was loose a bit of solidity and for but a short time. What should have been more of a concern was the friend she was now following to the shore, a ghostly and pristine elegant shape of a female wolf guiding the pup along like a mother. This was a friend that no other wolf, except those with similar powers, could see, but the young princess pup was not yet atune to such concerns.
No, what Aeslin knew was that she could spend hours chatting away to the pretty wolf that would sparkle so prettily in the sunlight and that the ghost in question would play games and teach her new things, much like her own mummy and daddy. She had told Aeslin that her name was Princess Sheba and she had once lived by the lake. Aeslin wasn’t entirely sure what the lady wolf meant by “once” lived by the lake, but all the same she was pretty and nice. Not to mention she could sing and was teaching Aeslin her songs, even though they were hard to pronounce so mostly the pup kind of mumbled them incoherently. Waging her tail happily she pounced after a frog, momentarily distracted until she felt the cool touch of the ghost’s nose on her head, reminding her where they were headed. Giving the frog a longing look Aeslin followed the ghost once more, scampering from one rock to the other. She was the smallest out of her siblings, never could win in a tussle, but the ghost was teaching her that she could escape the fights if she was quick enough, which Aeslin managed to do some of the time.
Finally the reeds broke apart and the lake lay in its sparkling wonder before her eyes, the waves lapping lazily at the rocky shore while the slight breeze ran its invisible fingers through the pup’s fur. The ghost stood in the water, well even that wasn’t quite right, it was more as though she hovered over the surface, barely touching the cool liquid. Aeslin came running and splashing after her, but the ghost shook her head with a smile and chided, “Not so far Aeslin, you are yet young to test the deeper waters.” Pouting Aeslin stomped her paws through the waves with a reproachful glare, instead simply rolling in the shallows until she was good and wet. Her pink paw pads came away all clean and the white on her body shone brightly in the sunlight as she frolicked without a care in the world while her ghost stood silent watch, her long and flowing fur tousled in the breeze. Aeslin proceeded to prattle off nonsense to her companion, her merry light voice going a mile a minute, “When I grow up I’ll be able to swim deeper, and I’ll have powers like mommy and daddy too and fur as long and silky as you own and I will sing lots of songs and (…)” Finally coming out of the water she gave her small body and shake, proceeding to sit upon a larger rock to mimik the regal fashion in which Sheba held herself. The image was odd and at once comical for it was plain to see what she was attempting, and such a regal stance for one so small looked rather ridiculous.

Aveza's pale nose was glued on the ground almost comically, determined to pick up any traces of her sister's scent. She had followed Aeslin's scent trail all the way from their den, curious about where was she going? The darker pup would use her eyes but Aeslin's peculiar vanishing habit made it hard, and this habit confused Aveza. She was sure that she had her eyes on her clearly, but somehow Aeslin slipped from her vigilant gaze. Perhaps... perhaps Aveza's eyes weren't as sharp as she had expected if her air-headed sister kept disappearing in front of her. Whatever the reason, this annoyed her so much and it also made her feel silly. She pouted against the ground; she did not like feeling silly. Feeling silly was for puppies and she wasn't a puppy anymore. With that thought, she raised her head to inhale fresh air to fill her chest, and that was when she realised that they were too close to the water. Her mummy and daddy had told her several times to not to get too far into the lake; water, even though it was good for drinking, could kill you. Aveza remembered how she had trembled when her daddy told her the story of a wolf being stuck underwater and died. He had... drowned. Her nose hit the ground in an attempt to distract her mind as she did not want to tremble again.
She did not think she had gone this far without her parents and, however terrifying it might be, she liked it. It made her feel... less like a child. This proved that she was old enough to leave her den to have a walk around her territory. Smirking, she raised her head briefly to look around; there were rocks and reeds, and water must be somewhere nearby. Lowering her head again, her nose started to rub along the rocks as she resumed walking. Aveza tried to concentrate on her sister's scent, and soon she became so focused that she did not pay any attention to her surroundings. This resulted in her being so startled when the reeds brushed her along her cheek. She leapt backwards with a faint cry. Once she realised that these reeds were harmless, her heartbeat slowed and her muzzle wrinkled. Silly, stupid reeds. Scaring her for nothing. Aveza nipped into a reed stalk irritably and left it dangling down pathetically.
Refusing to be discouraged, she raised her head to peek through the reeds but she could not find her sister's familiar turquoise coat. She huffed and trotted for a little bit before stopping to peek again. Nothing. Well, she could not be far; her scent was stronger around here. Aveza tried moving a little bit again, but she saw nothing. Hissing, she started to walk heavily to express her annoyance for a longer time before stopping again. Aha! Her rounded ears perked up as she spotted Aeslin through the reeds. Aveza dropped into a crouch, ignoring the wetness that was crawling up her belly, readying herself to pounce. But she didn't move. Instead, Aveza just stared at Aeslin in a shock; her sister was playing around in the water. B-but didn't she hear her parents? Water was dangerous! No, wait. The common sense part of her brain quickly calmed Aveza down; her parents didn't say they couldn't play in water. They just said not to get too far into water. She relaxed a bit, but not entirely as Aeslin started to talk. Aveza lifted her muzzle into air to search for another scent. Nothing, except for her sister. Frowning, she crept forwards cautiously; perhaps Aeslin was talking to a loner or something.
But she wasn't. In fact she was talking to no one. Aveza sat up in confusion; was Aeslin having an imaginary friend or something similar? Then suddenly a smile stretched Aveza's dark lips, this was going to be a fun. An imaginary friend, how pathetic. She dropped into another crouch and crept out of the reeds with every intent to scare her sister. Now that her view of her sister was clear, she could only stare at her incredulously. What was Aeslin trying to do? Did she know she looked weird? Stifling a laugh, Aveza sped, with her body still low, and leapt, her paws outstretched, aiming for her sister.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h448/soarly/Wonderwhy/Tables/aeslintable2.png] Happy with her spot in the sun, Aeslin began to practice a song the princess wolf had taught her, tongue tripping over the complex words as the ghost laughed on in amusement. Grinning in a dopey fashion, the littlest of the heirs simply wagged her tail and gave her paws a lick. She was certainly the tiniest of her four siblings, everyone else looked more like her mommy and daddy, sometimes she rather wondered why she looked so different. Surrounded in bright gem tones of fur, Aeslin was certainly a odd ball pup, but in a rather charming fashion. Her body was thinner then the other pups and they had no trouble squashing her in play fights. But Aeslin didn't like play fighting anyways, she preferred to wander through the forest and look at all the pretty wild flowers that grew there. Of course she loved all her siblings and being around them always made her happy, but they didn't seem to be able to see her ghost friend like her and even at such a young age, Aeslin understood that it made her different than the rest.
The beautiful spirit in question was staring intently at something behind Aeslin, and spoke up, "Look out little one..." some thing jumped out from the reeds behind her with an alarming cry. Giving a startled yelp, Aeslin became partially invisible as a response to her fear, but felt something furry knock into her. Little claws tried to grab onto the rock but failed to find hold as the two bodies when tumbling in a merry heap to the ground. Yipping, Aesling tried to untangle herself from what she now saw was her sister, but was having trouble since she couldn't see herself enough to figure out where to move. Flickering back into visibility, she gave a small whimper of reproach and nipped Aveza on the ear, tiny teeth latching onto the thin flesh, but not hard enough to damage skin. With a flick of her tail and a tip of her pink nose into the air, Aeslin marched off to a nearby rock, huffing her annoyance.
Giving her sister a tiny glare of her amethyst eyes, Aeslin said with a sniff, "What did you have to do that for sis, you scared me." The ghost wolf was now in the reeds, and looked around at their settings as though to look out for both pups. Aeslin's eye flickered over to the glistening shape before settling back on Aveza with a small smile of forgiveness. "That's ok though, you got me good, so whatcha doing? Do mom and dad know you're gone? Her eyes widened at the thought, she didn't think her mom would like her out so far from the den and she didn't wanted to get grounded for leaving without telling anyone.
