Just give it one more try to a lullaby. "Come now, Taur, you musn't keep straining yourself!" Yekhet's voice rang in his head and he trudged onward. He'd been walking for days, hardly ever taking the time to rest. The female leopards words were sweet and concerned.
Taurus snorted, ignoring them. The sky was slowly shifting to lighter shades as dawn approached. He did not care that his paws were sore and his limbs wanted rest. His gold-speckled emerald eyes scanned the new land he'd come to. A tundra; and judging by the lack of scents, it was vacant. A slight smile crept upon his lips, only to vanish just as quickly. In his mind Yekhet was becoming very anxious. "Taurus! Please, you need some rest."
He tossed his head, tail flicking in annoyance. "A'right, a'right! I was just lookin' for a place that fit my tastes." He retorted. Yekhet fell silent as he padded forward.
It wasn't long before the leopard Myou came to a lake. It was a small one and, like the rest of the tundra, lacking any life. This was what he liked most. He came to the edge of the lake and gazed down into it. The edges were frozen slightly, though seemed thin from the summer's heat. He lifted a paw and slammed it down, creating a small hole. He leaned down and lapped at the cool waters.
After he had his fill, Taurus moved a little ways away from the banks and settled down on a spot. His thick, luxurious fur gave hiim a nice coating from the soft, icey breezes. He set his head on his paws and closed his eyes. Even though it was nice to finally take a rest, he still wanted to move.
"You don't always need to keep moving..." Yekhet murmured softly. He grumbled in response. "Maybe not, but it keeps my mind busy." He tucked his nose under his big paw and let the silence envelope him. It was a while before sleep began to creep up on him, but he was always haunted by his sleep. In his mind, a tiny, sweet voice began to hum a soft lullaby. He knew not who it belonged to, but it was the only thing that could ever make him fall asleep. So just close your eyes,
Oh, here comes your lullaby,
Your very own lullaby.

It grew cooler the farther north Dev'on traveled. The summer's heat growing weaker and weaker. The plains and prairie had been nice during the spring but had grown uncomfortable as the seasons changed. The Sennyo had considered hanging around if only to see his brother again but it was enough for now knowing that he was alive and well.
Avoiding the pack inhabiting the taiga, Dev'on traveled north over the mountains to the tundra. There had once been a pack existing there but it seems that they had finally been beaten by the harsh climate. It was a shame really. The Empire had been full of strong wolves.
Being summer the temperature wasn't completely unforgiving. Though the nights brought more cold than was comfortable. The upside was being able to witness a herd of Raindeer's migration. Dev'on didn't hunt them, they were far to large for only one wolf, though it did make him long for the security of a family, a pack. Yet none of the packs had really piqued his interest so he remained alone.
A week into his exploration of the tundra Dev'on woke early to observe the sunrise, light bleeding into the darkness of the sky. A chilly morning breeze brought the scent of wolf across the gypsy's path. Was another wolf in the area? He followed the scent down to the lake, it was serene and still in the growing light. A figure caught Dev's eye and he headed nearer.
A Myou, sleeping, vulnerable in the open. The wolf must be quite confidant of their skills to leave themselves so open to attack.Pondering weather to wake the stranger or not, Dev sat down not to far away. He conjured up an invisible force field to protect them from any predators who might think them an easy snack.
Stretching long limbs out in front of him, Dev let himself be soothed by the soft crackle of his own shield, letting himself hum along with the sound. The sun drifted up across the horizon, light sparkling beautifully across the lake. The tundra wasn't such a bad place. "speechtest"

Just give it one more try to a lullaby. The gentle lullaby in his head lulled him to the sleep his body desperately wanted. He opened his eyes to the sound of faint laughter, sounding hauntingly familiar, though he did not recognize it. He stood up and padded out of the den into bright sunlight. In front of him lie a quaint little cove. Shimmering waters, green grasses, flowers of every color...all enclosed in protective stone walls. He knew this place. It was his paradise, his home. Down by the water, a small light brown wolf crouched to the waters, drinking. His tail was a ball of white fluff and his ears were very long. Though Taurus did not recognize him, the young wolf felt very comforting and brought tears to his eyes. He leaped down to him, his smile wider than before.
"Hey," he said casually, tapping the small wolf with his nose. He stopped drinking and began to slowly turn. The smile on his face brought such joy to Taurus and he didn't even know why. The rabbit wolf opened his maw to speak, though no words came. Only emptiness. Taurus was about to ask what as wrong with him when an excruciating pain came to his head. It knocked the breath out of him, causing him to fall to the ground and shut his eyes tight. A tiny trickle of liquid began to run between his eyes. He tentively lifted his paw to it and opened his eyes slightly. Shock washed over his face when he saw his paw crimson.
Taurus looked up to see the other wolf, but he was no longer there. His eyes flashed in every direction, noticing the once seriene landscape was now torn up and dark. "W-What's happening?!" He barked out, the pain in his head making him yelp. A tiny voice echoed behind him. The fur on his spine instantly shot up and he felt a wave of emotions envelope him from the broken voice. Fear, anger, pain. He slowly turned and screamed, the young rabbit wolf's body broken and missing his head.
Taurus' eyes shot open and he leaped to his paws, panting and gasping for air. He didn't realize that he had yelped out in his sleep. Glancing frantically around him, his thoughts began to come back to him. He was in the Tundra by the lake. "Taurus! It was just a dream..." Yekhet said gently.
He could feel every muscle in his body tense and his claws etched into the ground. His head buzzed with a migrane that made him grit his teeth. "Just a... Dream..."
[/color] He willed his body to relax, retracting his claws and sitting down with a hunched back. He stared at the water with mixed emotions. His dreams always felt so...real. Why was it that he could never remember what they were from? "Taurus, we've been over this before..." Yekhet sighed, her voice both concerned and slightly annoyed. He growled low to silence her, his tail and flank twitching with discomfort. "I don't care. It's so familiar, so real. Why can't I remember!" He was about to burst into a fit when his acute nose finally caught onto the other wolf's scent. He got back up and turned around, eyes locking on the wolf. He was just sitting there peacefully. "I wonder who that is..." The female leopardess in his head mused. Taurus lowered his head, long tail swishing back and forth was he watched the wolf. "Can I help you?" His deep voice rumbled from the back of his throat; not threatening, but not friendly either. He was tense from his nightmare and was in no mood for friendly chatter. [/blockquote] So just close your eyes,
Oh, here comes your lullaby,
Your very own lullaby.

It hadn't been long, maybe an hour or two of sitting around, watching the lake, before the Myou stirred. He didn't wake though. The dark golden spotted wolf twitched and yelped, trapped in his own subconscious. Dev'on teetered between waking him or not. While the Sennyo would love to spare him the pain of his nightmare he would rather not be gouged by his large paws. There was no guarantee Dev could pull up a force field quick enough, not with the energy he was expending to keep up the one he was using to protect the sleeping Myou.
Luckily the nightmare didn't last for too long and the Myou was on his feet, panting. Dev'on watched solemnly, head resting on his paws as the other wolf caught his barrings. It took him longer than Dev expected it to notice that there was another near by.
When greenish eyes locked on his dark blue Dev raised his head. The wolf didn't approach him but he threw up a force field between them anyway. It was better to be safe than sorry.
The Myou's voice rumbled across the space between them, "Can I help you?"
Shaking his head, Dev'on gracefully got to his feet. He stretched lazily before turning his attention back too the waiting wolf. "The question is, can I help you," Dev'on's voice was like crunching gravel, raspy from disuse. Speaking pulled at the long scar across his muzzle."Sleeping in the open like that is risky. Wolves are not the only predators here, neither are they the largest." "speechtest"

Aerodyspyle wasn't feeling so good.He wanted to go to the lake, but he was well aware that he should find a hot place. The cold was getting on his nerves. He felt like an undead zombie walking with humans. He looked and felt so out of place. But where was this hot sun and blistering dryness he was hoping so earnestly for?Where could he find his wonderful, hot place of refuge?Spy was knew,so he didn't know where the Eremus usually went to escape the cold. Some other wolves liked the cold;he despised those kind of wolves.Someone had told Spy that they didn't even respect the Eremus kind. But that person was probably lying. Spy felt so alone...He had no where to go,and he felt cornered for some odd reason. He almost deposited his lunch as he breathed in the salty lake air.It was so cold and wet and salty and....Ugh!He hated this place! But he didn't know where to go.He was new and didn't know the land or the laws of the land.Spy scoffed at himself. He didn't know anything. Finally he detected a place where the salty air of the lake didn't smell so strong,so he ventured towards it.There he found a small little valley or something and two wolves were there talking.Spy thought of his previous meeting with Daedalus and his hackles rose. But maybe these wolves could tell him where to go to escape the cold temperatures.Spy walked up to them."Hello,I'm Aerodyspyle.Who are you?"
