Up and down, leap and twirl, over the mud, through the trees, onto the next root! Capricorn made his way through the thick swamp, bouncing around, sometimes leaping onto his hind paws to box the air as he went, sometimes going about on all fours. Either way the sprightly young jackalope was pleased with life. Waving his dark purple tail to some tune in his head, Cappy leaped along his merry way, often times having to duck to avoid getting his sizable black rack stuck in the branches. As he went along, he hummed a little song to himself, and eventually began singing in the squeaky tongue of the jackalopes. "What's not to love about life? Life is so full of glee! Even when there's none for you There's always some for me!" Nothing could bring down the grand mood of Cappy! Nothing at all! ((OOC: Sorry if it's a bit short ^_^; )

She was laying peacefully on the cool earth, enjoying her afternoon nap. She had no idea where Rosella was- probably off hunting somewhere. Just because they were sisters, didn't mean they had to spend every moment together, waking or otherwise. Isa wasn't dreaming, just sleeping. Curled up the way snakes do when they sleep, only her extra body parts, like long spindly legs and her half-wolf shaped body, made it more difficult. Never the less, she was content.
Suddenly, a great tramping was heard. It sounded like thumping... leaping? Sleepily, Ella raised her head to peak over the edge of the tree root she was leaned against. It was like a small hole in between two large tree roots, and the ground was level with them once you got out of the hole. As soon as she did this, however, she regretted it. A little furry, leaping and squeaking body crashed into her face head-on. Ouch! Did it have horns?
Isabella cringed backwards about a millimeter before opening her eyes to blink at the thing that had disturbed her nap. It was a Jackalope. She narrowed her slitted-pupil eyes to glare at it. "Delivered food." She hissed quietly, slowly moving her muscles so her front legs clamped onto the tree root. She slithered to pull herself to a standing position, her head still at eye level with the soon-to-be rodent curry.

Capricorn jumped back as he collided with something. Something large, and long, and scaley...
He screamed.
It wasn't a very impressive noise, but it was loud to him. Blue eyes wide, every strand of fur on end, Cappy bolted, turned full tail and ran from the whatever beast. He wasn't going to stick around. He didn't understand whatever it had growled... er... hissed... well, he wasn't sure what noise it had made, and he wasn't sticking around to find out.
Tiny legs pumping, the jackalope ran like Hell and every demon and lost soul in it were on his tail (that is, if he had any knowledge of hell or demons or souls). However, his fevered sprint was short lived. Not paying attention to where he was going, Cappy ended up with his antlers caught in the low hanging branches of some tree. Struggling only made it worse.
"Please! No! I don't wanna die! Not today! Not like this!!!" Cappy screeched, his fear over-riding his logic, his thoughts. Everything was the sheer will to escape!!!!! He couldn't even look over his shoulder to see how close death was.
"Somebody help!!! Anybody!!! Please!!!"

Rosella was indeed off somewhere. She had been hunting for herself and her sister. She had managed to snag two lone jackalopes. Now her body was slithering through the forest with the rabbit like creatures in her mouth. She startled slightly as she neared where her sister was and ran into another jackalope. It was apparently screaming and trying to get out of the tangle of branches. She laughed to herself as she reared up on her cobra tail, her body moving like her snake spirit as the jackalopes hung from her mouth, her hood opening as she looked at Capricorn.
"Wow three in one day never thought id run into this many."
She droped the jackalopes and looked at the creature, then she noticed her sister. "Hello Ella, did you sleep well?" She smiled evily as she looked at the creature. "I hunted for us but it seems it just falls into your lap no?"

Ella gave chase as the small creature bolted, her quick body moving to the rhythm of the rodent's stride. Oh yes, this would be too easy. Just one bite, and he'd be a goner... She would just have to do one little pinprick, he'd be injected with venom, and Isabella could just sit back and watched as he writhed in naked pain until his light died out. The thought appealed her, and she wasn't ready for when the creature suddenly hit a branch and got stuck.
She immediately put on the brakes but wasn't able to stop herself from shooting forward. Somehow, her head had done a nose-dive and now Ella had ended up under the Jackalope, which was now on top of her neck. Ella blinked as her sister suddenly came up, holding two more Jackalopes. "A whole family, perhapsss?" Ella hissed, then turned her attention the one she'd given chase to. "Thisss one disssturbed my sssleep." It came out as a half-hiss, half-growl, and Ella turned her neck on the creature, aiming to take a killing bite.

Cappy wiggled more as another scaly beast appeared. He could feel the cool scales of the first under his feet, and he shuddered.
"U-uh... hello..." Cappy squeaked to them both. Now that he had gotten over his initial panic (though his heart still pounded fiercely) he could begin to work out how to free his antlers from the tree.
Although he knew the snake-beasts couldn't understand him, he reasoned that if he just kept talking (especially to the one who looked about ready to bite him, less so to the one who already had several of his unlucky kin in her mouth) perhaps he could convince them that he was intelligent to some degree and they'd leave him alone.
Wiggling his antlers slowly loose, Capricorn continued speaking.
"Um... I know you don't understand me, but... might I say that you are two fine looking snake... things..? And I'm not speaking out of desperation, I mean, I have never seen two so lovely, deadly looking creatures in all my life!" He tugged one antler free, his other almost done.
"In fact, if I were... whatever you two are, I think I'd fall right in love!" One sharp pull! He was free! Paws scrambling on the snake-beast's neck, Cappy slid down and bolted again, running only a short distance before stopping in the bushes, shivering.
Would they find him? Was he finally safe?
