Kiet's paws drummed steadily on the dry grass, each stride bringing him closer to his prize. One... More... Leap... Then he sprang. A small spring, for fear of loosing to much time in gathering himself for a bigger one. "YEOWCH!" the yagi yelped. His dull green left foreleg was waving in the air as Kiet continued cursing at the jackalope. Burning orange eyes glared at the stupid creature.
The bi-colored wolf was truly a ridiculous sight. He was huge compared to the quickly sprinting away jackalope, with strong horns scattered over his back, yet he was yelping and cursing and hobbling about on three legs for a small prick in the pad.
"Stupid... Retard... Jackalope. He just simply had to jump under my foot. Gah! It's bleeding! Dumb idiot." Kiet ranted angrily, plunking his bottom on the ground to lick his paw. His oversized fangs rapped the reddening paw. "Peh. Stupid. Dang fangs..." Finally he situated himself enough to lick the puncture left by the jackalope's horn.
The fluffy green and brown wolf's stomach growled. Put in a bad mood by his hunting failure, he continued to rant and think angry thoughts. I hate this place. "I hate that jackalope." I'm hot. And hungry. Unconsciously, Kiet rose and started pacing, limping about and spitting when his mouth flooded with saliva. Kiet hated his mood. He wanted to be happy. It was hard. And now Kiet didn't care to try to be happy. His eyes darkened, his mouth snapped at flies, and his horns left gouges in the ground. Grrr... How embarrassing it would be if someone saw this.

Amondi's form was stretched out on a large boulder. Her orange fur glowed in the light of the sun, the purple swirl mark clearly visible on her side. She let her long tail drift down, the end off the ground. The Sennyo was resting on the flat boulder, enjoying the warm weather while she still could, as well as enjoying the Yagi wolf. Her antennas went this way and that, acting as small radars. The lite purple pair of butterfly wings on her back, were still. Then the Sennyo rose to her paws and stretched out her magnificent, slender, long form on the boulder. A soft smile on her maw as she yawned, the Sennyo watched as a jackalope bounced her way.
The she wolf was still as the jakalope hoped past her. Each jump bringing it in the air. Amondi tensed and crouched, her attention on the jakalope. Once the rabbit like creature went into the air, Amondi lunged at it with her sharp teeth bared. Her speed was great, her light weight in all. The canines of the Sennyo female clasped around the jakalope's leg as she brought it down. The creature began franticly twisting and struggling to get away. Amondi crunched it's legs and grinned at it's squeak of pain. She then let it go, in the direction of the Yagi. Following suite, she watched as the wounded animal tried to run and aimed at it's neck, only to be greeted by horns. " Shoot! " she growled, jumping back. This time she went for the kill and grabbed it by the neck to swing it back and forth like a plaything. Amondi dropped it, the jakalope stunned by her action and bite down on it's neck.
The jakalope's blood flooded her mouth as Amondi went toward the Yagi. He was cursing and throwing a tantrum. Amondi stood at a safe distance, dropped the jakalope, and laughed. It was rude to laugh at another's misfortune, but she couldn't help it. Amondi hoped the wolf would be put off by her angelic appearance and not charge her with his horns.

Kiet whirled at the sound of the laugh. He lowered his head in a charging fashon, orange eyes angry. Suddenly his eyes watered and he burst out laughing, his injured foreleg shaking in the air. The other wolf just looked too innocent for Kiet to stand.
Inwardly, Kiet wanted to stay mad. He wanted to snarl at the Sennyo and tell her to back off, but if he had tried to speak, it would have sounded like "Bah-bah-back... Kehharhar! Oof-Off!" Kiet would surely die after that.
Slowly, as his hysterical laughter died down and his eyes lightened. "Thanks." he sighed. Suddenly aware that this was a real, live, creature he was laughing with, Kiet wouldn't have minded if a griffin had just then plucked him up and eaten him. Well... I guess I do sort of like life...
Kiet tilted his head shyly as he studied the Sennyo. Vibrant orange fur clearly dominated her pelt, with a strange purple mark on her side. Butterfly wings? A Sennyo? So that explained the angelic looks that made Kiet unable to controll himself. Or is that just me?
"Well... Um, hi?" Kiet stammered. He sounded very uncertain, and his voice rasped. The Yagi coughed suddenly, spitting out a glob of saliva. A smile spread across his maw once again.

The beautiful sennyo tensed when she saw the brute ready to charge her, but as he to began laughing she felt more calm. The yagi's instant mood change amused her. " He's certainly a silly wolf isn't he? " she thought to herself. As the sun played on her orange fur, she began to remember the kill. Amondi lowered her black tipped muzzle and lightly gripped the dead jakalope. As she began to lift her head, she paused. How would the yagi react when he saw she had caught the very same jakalope, he couldn't? His instant mood swing gave rise to the possibility that he could instantly snap!
Amondi raised her head and made her way over to the yagi. The fea slowly placed the jakalope at the male's feet and backed away. Her antennas moved slightly as a white butterfly fluttered past her. She fluttered her lite purple wings and smiled as the insect went by. Amondi's tail waved back and forth in the air as her gaze followed it and soon found herself following the butterfly. A soft squeak snapped her out of her trance. A field mouse had scurried past her. She then looked back at the brute and went back toward him. " Sorry about that " she laughed lightly.
Amondi took her place, once again, at a safe distance from the brute. She made herself comfortable a laid down in the dry grass. Her deep red legs in front of her, Amondi began dozing in the sun. A small yawn showed her sharp, white teeth.

Stubbornly, he shoved it back at the sennyo with one of his horns. He hated that jackalope. Why would he eat it? Caught up in thoughts that defended his cause he didn’t notice the other wolf slip away after a butterfly. When he heard her voice and light laugh, it snapped him back to reality. “Whu?” he mumbled in a distorted voice. When he refocused his eyes to look at the earth, not the sun, the sennyo was in her original spot, dozing.
The large wolf followed Amondi’s lead and sank down, though not rolling onto his side. His thick brown and green coat gleamed in the bright sunlight. What am I doing here? Kiet asked himself, and he realized he honestly had no answer. His night wanderings must have brought him to this hot area, or a variety of other possibilities entered his mind. He shook his head to clear it and let his tongue slip out between his oversized canines. I wish I didn’t seem so insane to myself. I don’t care what others think, just why me?
