Every day proved to be challenging for her, the rabbit soul within her body had done far more than simply changing her fur pattern, altering parts of her body as well. She truly was an odd mixture between the two animals, it didn't make things particularly easy.
Travelling constantly could get very tiring though, and that was in truth why Zoraia hadn't minded settling herself between the large roots of a tree in the middle of a cluster and closing her eyes for a little while. A short nap was better than nothing she had told herself, though she had been far too comfortable here and dozed off for far longer than she had originally intended. It had been fairly early in the afternoon when she had stopped, and now the night had arrived.
The air was growing colder as the sun completely vanished from view and the wind began to liven up a little more, rattling the branches of the trees as it brushed through the leaves. They had all changed colour now, oranges, reds and browns instead of the usual greens and many had already descended. In fact, Zoe had made use of that when she had first stopped, munching upon the fallen leaves around her. Plants were starting to wither away and die, it wouldn't be long before there were no more left in this area, the horrid winter was on it's way.
Another slightly stronger wind rushed through the air, this time disturbing the leaves and sending them cascading towards the ground. It was only when one fell upon her nose that Zoe began to awake, brown eyes opening slowly at first, blinking sleepily until she noticed her surroundings.
It was amazing how quickly you could wake up when realising you had slept for a longer length of time than you had intended, and right now, Zoe was indeed experiencing such a thing. She sat up quickly, eyes fully open and alert, mind clearer though wondering how she could have possibly slept for so long. Her ears twitched, listening for any sounds of danger whilst her nose sniffed at the air.
She relaxed a little when nothing met her senses, and her eyes looked upwards at the night sky. It seemed she was alone. For now anyway...

I slunk cautiously along, taking care to brush away the fallen rusty-colored leaves in my path; I mustn't be detected. I could feel the cold breeze blowing against my fur, whipping it uncomfortably around. The air around me felt cold and relentless, continuing to blast me. A leaf fell from a tree, shaded in copper tones. It appeared darker against the night sky, which was stretching expansively above me. Stars shone like chips of ice, like the souls of the dead wolves, consoling those they left behind. Walking ahead, more scents flooded over me. But one more than the others stood out; wolf. A young myou by the smell of it. I growled softly, more curious than threatening. I liked strange wolves, and this was the perfect opportunity to meet one.
