"Rain is just a pesky thing. It keeps life going yes, but what does it do to the cael. It drags us out to the sea forever more. It makes our legs heavy our bodies hard to find. And only when we drag ourselves among the dry ground will we become wolves again." Rivaxorus said in a small stern tone as she flicked her wolf tail across the meadow grass. She was hopeing no rain would come today for yes she was a cael. She considered her species to be a weakness and for her it was. If she stepped in a puddle during a fight or it rained during a get away her life would be at risk. The young wolf had experience though, so she stayed near watery lakes most of the time. The female stood up and shook her dry fur sitting down instead of relaxing in the meadow. "And when we dry we become wolves again. The graceful wonderful creatures we were meant to be. Only to hope the rain does not come, for a month or two. But, rain will always come and we will always return to the sea's. For that is out nature and the worlds nature itself. Another day, another cycle it will never end." Rivaxorus enjoyed saying these poetic things it calmed her when she was in a bad mood or she just did it for company. Her heavy green and brown fur almost sparkled in the sunlight. It was so relaxing here, but what she would give to talk to a wolf for once.

Koga stared into the meadow, hoping to scare up a piece of prey. That day had plenty of sunlight, and a bit of warmth crept through, despite the cold air and wintertime snow mounds scattered here and there. He sniffed the grass, scenting a robin, an elk, and...Cael? A wolf was nearby. Sniffing about, he picked up the scent trail, following it further in. Then, he looked up. A beautiful Cael female was sitting in the tall grass, her green and brown fur shining brightly. Koga howled softly, a friendly greeting. It had almost been three weeks since he'd lst seen another wolf, and he was eager to befriend the strange, pretty wolf.

Rivaxorus lifted her ears, hearing a greeting and turned around. It was a male, oh great just what she wanted a male looking for a mate. She snorted to herself but then raised her head in a smile, knowing it was just polite. She lowered her head in a bow to show him that he could come closer if he wanted.
"Why you out here today?"
She asked wrapping her wolf tail around her paws trying to avoid the snow. After all, one drop of water and her fishy tail would make herself vulnerable out here. She waited for the wolf to answer, at least it was someone to talk to.

She seemed a little snobbbish, but Koga didn't mind. It was far better than meeting any other wolf. The female might have shown a bit of nervousness, but he didn't mind. She was pretty, and was choosing not to attack him, so she must be okay. He nodded respectfully at her, hoping that wouldn't make her mad.
"Oh, I'm just looking for a friend, really. My name is Koga, what's yours?"

'Isn't that what they all say' She thought but then searched the tone of his voice and it seemed honest enough. Rivaxorus smiled and relaxed knowing that she was going to have to trust this one. He was good looking, unlike her multi colored fur that was somewhat chaotic. "A friend huh, that might be a hard task with me. You see, I out of personal experience don't like males much. So, right now I trust you. My name's Rivaxorus but call me Riv for short" Rivaxorus said with a smile and she thought it was a bit funny. She would like someone to talk to though. Rivaxorus liked to sing, but that was only with her true friends. 'Does he have a pack?' she thought for a moment flicking her tail.

Right now you trust me? What does that mean? Koga thought to himself. This female, Riv, was okay for a pick. He cocked his head and wagged his tail ever so slightly. She was also being strange and yet, very, very nice. It was pleasant to be around her, and he found himself enjoying her company.
He licked a paw, breaking himself out of his thoughts, and sat down, letting a tiny trill into his voice. "Well, if you're not looking for friendship, why talk to me at all? You must want something if you're going to bother? Or am I wrong?"

"Just because one talks to another does not mean they are friends or they want to be. I don't want anything, I just get along with most creatures" Rivaxorus replied truthfully then yawned putting her head down in between her front paws. Either way, talking was just an exchange of words. Rivaxorus did believe actions spoke louder then words, she stayed with that saying as well. She lowered her voice, just so Koga could hear. "Oh well imagine, as I pace the pews of a church corridor and I can't help to hear, No I can't help to hear an exchanging of words. What a beautiful life, what a beautiful love. And yes but what a shame the man is a killer." The words to a song she knew by heart, she also knew another but doubt Koga would want to hear it. Rivaxorus lifted her head and smiled at Koga. Yeah, this was kind of backward, but it felt right. Like the song said to face these things with poise and rationality.

Koga listened intently to her speech, if that was what it should be called. He was truly interested, but now, a more dominating thought was clouding his mind. He growled softly to clear his head, conused. He definitely recognized those words, and he knew very well that she meant them, every last one. Koga also understood where she was coming from, if she didn't want anything, and was really just talking, that was a little bit not enough. He wanted something more than just to talk. He stood and watched as she lay down, mapping his options out. This could be a good night indeed if he won her over, but it could also turnn ugly. He intended to do the first thing, the better choice by far.
He emitted a low, humming sound from deep in his maw as he stalked forth. Keeping his tail level and head down, he walked in a slow, loose circle around her. The scents coming off of her pelt told hi many things, but nothing of fear. Good. He gently nosed the ground beside her forepaw, pretending to investigate it, though he knew just as well as she probably did that it was just a way to catch her scent. No illness either. He lifted his snout, taking in the scents around him. Nobody. That was good too. He lay down beside her, letting the hum fade away.
Koga had a loosely collected plan. He had come here out of boredom, hopiong to shed his feelings of solitude and loneliness, but now a much bigger opportunity had come before him. If he didn't do this right, however, that opportunity could whisk away to some other lucky wolf. "I must say, I find those words very thought-provoking, and insightful. There is more to be done than just citing lines from our pasts, however..." He allowed himself a mental breath while he whispered he last sentence in her soft, downy ear fur. "We have things to take care of, you know what I mean."

"I was a heavy heart to carry, my beloved was weighed down. My legs wrapped around his neck, my paws laced across the crown. My feet dragged across the ground. And he took me to the river where he slowly let me drown."
Yeah, Rivaxorus knew what Koga wanted, but she had to admit he was trying his best. Maybe this verse would tell her she was not easy to get. It would take a bit more then jut a little chat just to be, loved maybe. Last time she loved someone, in ended in heart break. Maybe this singing verse thing was stupid, but maybe it would help. She lowered her head, trying not to roll her eyes at the thought. She hated it when the males just went straight into the mating sort of stuff. It was just plain rude to her, not to mentioned she had a heart break that involved being betrayed.
Rivaxorus stood up after he had finished his little thing and flicked her ears after she had sang that verse. She looked at the sky, it was still clear. How could someone love a creature like her? After all, when it rained she was some ugly fish, colorful but still ugly. She thought then shook her head, he seemed nice and taking a risk would be good for her for once. She sat down and smiled tilting her head slowly.
"Don't think I don't know what your trying to do. And I'm not mad, or don't want to. I just want to get to know you better, some things about me are better left unsaid. But, it may sound ridiculous, I sing most of my past to others."
Rivaxorus said to him and splayed her front paws out in front of her with a glitter in her eyes. She hoped she did not disappoint him, after all she just wanted to know a little more about him first. She liked her lips in a small playful yip and layed down with a smile. She closed her eyes, and thought of a song that might calm her. She hummed a slow moving, love song, such a beautiful tone. Maybe she did like Koga, however, it would be harder then that to get to her. She wanted him to prove himself worth.

Koga stifled a growl of frustration. This was getting confusing. she was giving him a clear message, but he didn't like it. Was she simply telling him no by confusing him to the point that he left? Was she coaxing him forth, only to ruin him? Whatever she was trying, it was working. He let out a slow, steady breath. The she-wolf was pretty, and clearly smart, and very befuddling. That just made him like her all the more. He tilted his head a bit, lost in thought. He broke himself of his mind, clearing it and then choosing to speak.
If she liked music, he would give her that. He was willing to give anything for a night with this femme. I must if I am to get her heart, don't waste your words, use your heart, Koga, use your emotions... He thought of his feelings, basked in them, then wove a song, the only one he could think of to match how he felt. "Blooming love in the spring, just let your heart sing, and let yourslef fly free. How do I know, you let me let myself go, oh, but how do I see the way?"

"After tonight, who knows where we'll be tomorrow. What if we're never here again? After tonight, this will be a lifetime of gold. So lets stay up until the sky bleeds red. And we'll stop stop the world from moving stop the clock from turning. Stop this night from fading away, this time is ours."
Rivaxorus felt like finishing the verse, but she knew she was sort of confusing Koga. For a smart wolf like him, she was smart. She smiled with a small snort and snuggled against his side. "Nice try, your getting better" she whispered to herself in thought.
Although, it did feel nice to snuggled against him, the sky was starting to dim from clouds. She hoped it did not rain, because she did not like being half fish like she was most of the time. It was hard enough to stay away from the snow, and it was working so far.

Koga gazed at her insightfully. She was smart, and nice, and he valued that. If only he could be her mate, but that was still up in the air, still to be determined out. He twitched his ears in surprise, not expecting her to be cuddly like that. It was fine with him; it made him feel good to know she was comfortable with him. No matter how comfortable she was, that wasn't exactly how Koga wanted it to be.
He thought carefully about the words he was about to muster. He planned them thoroughly, thinking them over and over in his head until they sounded right. He groomed his back, stalling just to think more on this. It was his chance, he felt that much. He couldn't stand this feeling of unfulfilled need anymore. He must say it now, or leave it unsaid.
He groomed his back a bit more, then stopped to take a good whiff of the air. There was a faint tinge of rain in it, the cool, humidity of the air right before a good, long shower. He gave himself an encouraging mental nod, than slowly he began to speak. "Riv, if I may call you that." he said, fixing his silver and blue gaze on her. "I find you very interesting, and very attractive. I know it may not happen, but I want you to know that if it does come to pups, I will gladly stay with you. I don't think love is a temporary one night thing, and I feel abandoning your pups is abandoning your life." He took a deep breath, waiting to see what she would say.

Rivaxorus could tell by the way he had planned this out he meant it. Rivaxorus could not deny that she herself liked him, but there was something she could not put her paw on about him. He was young, and he liked her and she liked him. Rivaxorus just sat there and swigged her tail back and forth slowly against the ground. She watched the sky as it darkened, oh great it was going to rain. Although, that was the least to think about right now.
"Temporary is not the word in the first place" Rivaxorus said and smiled, as she felt water drip onto her fur. Her back legs melted away into her fishy form her tail formed into that of a fish as well. But, for once in a while Rivaxorus did not care. "Instead of holding the simple word will you be my mate, you tried your best and plan this out well. Seems like your very smart." She flicked her fish tail against the ground staying where she was, since it was to hard to walk in this form anyway.
"But, I can not say I don't like you either and if it's pups you want and if you will be a good father to them. Then, pups is what you shall have" Rivaxorus replied with a smile and inched forward to lick Koga on the cheek. Now she really did not care if she was some fishy freak. Her scales glittered as the rain covered her fish tail.

Hey, Hawktalon, you need to post your character under the character account you created for it.

He watched as the rain fell, dampening her fur. She was becoming a cael again, and that was fine with him. She was still beautiful, and she liked him. Koga hummed softly as she licked his cheek. He reached over and groomed her muzzle. As the rain fell upon them, falling down with a steady hiss, he couldn't seem to feel it. Even as it cascaded down their bodies, dripping onto the ground, he didn't mind. He had himself a good friend, and a lovely mate, and that was all the more he could want.
He would definitely and proudly sire her pups, and he would love them like a father should. They would watch them grow, and become wolves like them, and learn the was of the world, and they would be happy. He gently nosed her ears, and spoke over the raindrops. "We shouldn't be out here, would you prefer a cave in the forest?" He quickly became aware that it might be difficult to move in a seal-like position, so he nudged her shoulder encouragingly, giving her a loving gaze.
