Girafi stood purposefully on the Gambit Trail. She could smell wolves. Uncouth, terrible, slovenly wolves. But wolves she needed, wolves she could use.
She felt slightly guilty about leaving her pups behind. She hoped they'd be okay, but she didn't want to have to drag them out here, where they could be lost among the thick jungle. And anyways, she didn't want them to overhear what she'd be requesting.
Seeing no one around and too impatient to wait any longer, the Sennyo raised her elegant muzzle and howled, calling someone, anyone, from the pack to come to her. Her howl fading, Girafi lowered her head. She hated waiting! However, at this point there was nothing left she could do. Pacing back and forth on the trail, Girafi snarled in frustration.
"Where are they?" she asked the air.

He'd been following her for some time, unnoticed in the shadows. Of course, they were hiding him. His power in this field saw to that. The night was dark, the moon covered by clouds.
Why was this Sennyo trespassing? Another new member? Did she wish to join? Well, he couldn't very well let her wander around to her heart's desire. This was his home now, and it was partly his job to protect it. What would Flynn, or Sylvester, say if he just let her pass untroubled?
Finally, it looked like she was getting frustrated, she stopped in her tracks and howled, grumbling to herself about finding "them." Sparta supposed that "them" meant the Mafia. Ah, good. She wanted them, yes? Well, now was as good as any. Sparta noticed that the clouds were beginning to move, so he quickly, quietly as possible, made his way right in front of her. Then, the cloud left and the moon's light shed in shafts through the canopy, revealing Sparta from the Shadows.
"You, outsider. State your business." He growled, keeping his gaze level with hers. What did she want? If she wanted to join, he supposed he would have to go get Flynn, or Sylvester. It probably wasn't even in his place to accept new members.

Girafi looked up as a Yagi appeared on the trail, startling her. However, loathe to admit her fear, the Sennyo put on a bold face and growled at him.
"Took you long enough, didn't it?" she asked, "As for my business, I am here to... request your services." Girafi sat down, studying her claws. The sudden moonlight shined off the silver of her headband, "There is another Sennyo. I believe she goes by the name of Morningstar," Girafi spat the name out, "I want you to kidnap her, isolate her, keep her away from anyone else. I want you to make that little bitch suffer!!!"
Looking up from her claws at the Yagi, Girafi adopted her most regal look.
"Do you think you can handle that? Or do I need to ask another pack to do it for me instead?" She was trying to offend the Yagi. She had played this trick before. Make them think you don't think they can do it, and they'll want to prove themselves. She wasn't certain it would work this time, but she had already spoken.
Now she left the rest to the Yagi.

Sparta reveled in her slight surprise and fear at suddenly seeing him appear, and then ignored her growl and rude comment about his punctuality. He listened, interested, as she bluntly stated her business.
"To the point." He said as she finished, and he lifted his head a bit. "But you don't actually think we work for free, do you?" He growled. Yes, his normal standards, and as far as he understood the Mafia, was the simple rule. No pay, no service. "Besides, we'd need to know where she is, and what she looks like." Sparta didn't bother asking why this wolf wanted this "Morningstar" out of the picture. He really could've give half a rat's ass. Though the prospect of pay did interest him.
His tangible form rippled in and out of sight a bit as another cloud passed over the moon. His feral, sharp teeth were taken out of view for only a moment.

Girafi went back to studying her claws, this time on the other paw. She kept up the regal act. With barbarians such as these, one had to show them who was the better.
"I understand that you don't work for free," Girafi said, "And we can work out the costs in a moment. As for appearence, she's an ugly violet-purple sort of color, and her face is blue. She's currently residing in the Parran Taiga, and has a strange habit of talking to herself."
Girafi looked up at the Yagi for a moment, just as a cloud passed over the moon. He seemed to flicker in and out of existence for a moment. She stared for a moment, then dismissed it as a trick of the eyes and continued.
"As for cost..." she thought about all she and her pack had to offer, "My pack's land rests on a gem mine, each wolf may take four gems of their choice," Finally done observing her paw, she shifted and began examining the next one.
"Is that acceptable?"

His ears twitched in amusement as she studied her paws, and then proceeded to describe this Sennyo. Ugly, heh? I wonder if that's the mood talking. So saying, Sparta just decided to remember purple and blue. Parren Taiga, eh? He had to go to that gods-forsaken place again? It was freezing there. "Who in their right mind would want to live in that frozen hellhole?! Especially in the middle of winter!" Sparta could not keep his exasperation from showing through. Seriously. There was a puny Sennyo living in one of the northernmost lands? From the sounds of it, the blue one's "friend" was quite insane.
The Yagi's eyes widened as she said "gems." Payment in the form of gems? Sparta did prefer meat himself, and knew that Flynn and Sylvester probably would too. Considering that Annushka was blind, she might prefer meat, too. Sparta tilted his head. "I don't know about gems. I'd have to ask the boss. We do prefer payment of the...bloody variety." Here, Sparta looked around, as if he expected Sylvester or Flynn to pop out at any moment. Feeling a bit uncomfortable, he threw back his head and howled deeply, trying to call one of the pack higher-ups.

((Eastern Gave me control of Sylvester in her absence, just to let eveyone know))
Tattered and slightly rounded ears flickered, the shrew wolf lazily opened his eyes with a slight grunt. He was warm and cozy and well fed. For once he and Sylvester were eating an actual prey item. A small deer that had wandered into the wrong place at a great time for the two wolves. They had both decided to take a nap after eating, but now, a call was summoning them.
Flynn moaned in exasperation and snapped at Sylvester "Sylv, Sparta needs you." He had no intention of going with him. Unless forced too of course. He curled back up, fully intending to sleep more.
The lupus, on the other hand, was easier to wake up. He stood and yawned, then smirked almost at the shrew. "Come on, Comrade Flynn. He isn't far, let's go see what is so important that he needs to call. Maybe it is another new member. You do like giving them tests."
Flynn groaned and grumbled, but eventually got up. he knew better than to cross Sylvester. He wondered if he should add 'interviewer' to his job title. Since he always seemed to be the one asking for proof.
The two of them made for the direction the yagi had called. The short, scrawny myou tailing the strong and tall lupus. An odd combination, but they had made their business partnership work, even with the rest of the pack.
Soon they came upon the clearing, where Sparta was talking to a sennyo. Flynn seemed wary at first, he really didn't like how tall some of the wolves around here were. However he kept his mouth shut and waited for Sylvester to ask the questions for once.
The lupus strode forward, "Comrade Sparta! What is it you need? Who is this, a victim? A recruit?" he hoped for the latter to be honest. He and Flynn were both well fed for the day, and he just reveled in the idea of controlling more wolves.

"Bloody?" Girafi half-wondered what that meant, "Well, then... I suppose we could work something out..."
Girafi looked with barely restrained disgust as two more wolves joined the meeting.
"I am not in any way a victim!" she cried, "Nor am I here to join! No, I was just working out the payment system with this.... Sparta, did you call him? I've requested the services of your pack."
Grimacing, Girafi realized she'd run out of paws she could examine without looking odd.
"I offered gems, but he seems to think blood is better. What sort of blood are you looking for? I suppose I could find you something..."

Sparta turned as the two he'd called showed up. Perfect. And then he almost wholly ignored the Sennyo. She was of almost no importance herself as long as they got payed for this "job" they were supposed to do. "This Sennyo wandered onto our territory, I confronted her, and she offered us a job." He averted his eyes in her direction. "It seems she wants someone out of the picture."
He then added what he'd been told. "She claims she'll pay us in gems, but I doubt it's in my job description to decide such matters." Yes, Sparta was, after all, a thug. Basically, he hadn't yet proved his mettle enough to progress in the pack. Though he'd be damned if he didn't move up the latter any time in the near future. He wasn't a simple thug, that was for sure. He'd killed quite frequently in his lifetime and was good at it. He deserved better then what he already had. Though as Flynn had early stated... best to keep on the good side of the higher-ranks. So-saying, Sparta said nothing of this determination.

Flynn seemed put-off by the whole encounter. Sure it was his idea to tie together the lesser of the moral fibers for this pack, but he really wanted a nap. He looked over at Sylvester, as if waiting for him to cast the die. His ears did perk when the sennyo said blood, that meant food no matter what the form. Gems? He had no taste for those....then again...he had not tried to eat them.
Sylvester, a little more open-minded about such things, seemed intrigued by the whole ordeal. "Well! We do enjoy blood, however, maybe we should be more....open about our payments. We need to make a name for ourselves after all!" Of course, he had ulterior motive. More reputation meant more members. Which meant he had more control and pull.
Sylvester, keeping his distance, puffed out his chest and seemed to proclaim, "We will take the job...provided that you give us a payment in meat as well as these...gems you speak of." Neither he nor Flynn cared what kind of meat, as long as it was enough to feed a wolf...or two. As for the gems, well, as dense as Sylvester was he knew that exploring options was not a bad idea. Perhaps they could find use for the gems later.
Flynn raised a curious brow at his leader, wondering what it was he was thinking. Then again, Sylv was a product of war. Flynn just of appetite.
