As the morning sun gradually traveled down, the skies slowly began to fade from firey colors to darker blues. The night began to desperse over the land, the moon cresent raising into the skies.
The young yagi female trotted across the rough terrain, a wide smile across her face as she walked. Her gait reflected her lithe form, brown eyes shimmered as day faded to night. Her ears twitched as she smelled the air, scenting a lake up ahead. She went faster, realizing her throat was becoming dry from her running.
It was minutes before the lake came into view. She quickly made it to it's shores, bending her head and lapping up the water. When she had drank her fill, she lifted her head and closed her eyes as the breeze shuffled around her. The wind also brought the scent of other wolves, and she grinned. She would put a show for these wolves. Carol had yet to notice the marked scents around the territory, so she put a paw into the cold waters until she was in. She went out a bit further until the water was moving up and down about half way up her legs. She leaned back, suddenly leaping into the air and twirling. She opened her maw, letting out a joyful bark. She danced across the waters, throwing up the water around her.

He was feeling very blase today, and the forest was teeming with life. Dragonflies darted throught the air as flowers opened up, preparing for nighttime. He wanted to go for a swim, and suddenly, he saw it.
It smelled fishy, and Graham scrunched his nose up at the thought. He had had too much fish recently, and one flying fish had almost dragged him off the ground. Long story. He ran throught the woods, suddenly realizing how thirsty he was. He peeked through the trees, finally spotting the lake.
He jumped through the woods and saw with lavender eyes another wolf with striking brown eyes. She was lapping up water, and then she dived in. She started jumping on the water, and didn't notice Graham. He was watching her when he smelled other wolves right on the other side of the treeline, and he froze. They smelled... vicious. They smelled like a pack.

Kurai gave a low growl as her front paw became stuck in the mud near Sangre Lake. Or rather as she liked to call it, the Blood Swamp. She had never seen the sun set, and today was the first. Though, night was drawing close. Butterflies and Dragonflys darted about, and one or two flying fish hovred farther above, flitting about only once and a while. She lazyly watched them for a while before pulling her paw from the muck and walking on.
Her mind was off the thought of the pack, and was once agian traveling to worry about her pups. She had taken some of Raleighs words to mind. Why should her pups be killers? She didn`t want more mini-copies of her around just yet. These first ones could be elite, trained not only to kill but to do something else of the sort. Something that would benifit the pack in a diffrent way. Her mind was snapped out of her thougts though, as she heard a low splash.
She snapped her head in the drection of the lake and sniffed the air. Intruders in her lands. With a growl she stalked torward the lake, wondering why a wolf would be so dumb as to not smell the pack borders. She scanned the area and seeing a shift in the bushes on the outskirts of the lae gave a low growl, she would deal with that one last. The one on the lake was first. She walked into the near night gloom to show herself. Lifting her head she gave a harsh yowl and padded forward growleing. "Get off my lands. Now."

His hooves stuck in the wet soil of the jungle. The rain always gave the leaf litter that disturbing degree of moistness and the deer-wolf didn’t like it at all. It made his hooves sore at times. However, his brush-up with the Empress of the pack had him on-edge. His deer-half was pumping him full of adrenaline. He knew she was going to whelp the pups soon and her thoughts of him probably had him in a rather not joyful spotlight. He needed out of it. It wasn’t a good thing. Still, it set the stage for some interesting drama.
The Myou scented the female. She smelled pregnant. She smelled pissed off too. His sensitive nose was attributed to both his deer and wolf halves and his sharp ears swiveled at the sound of her heavy pawsteps. He gave a quiet growl, half to himself and half to her. She just pissed him off, but he had to work under her and if ever he failed, he had to remember that, in her eyes, he was hardly a wolf.
Hardly a wolf!
How he had heard that all his life! Raleigh’s ears pinned as he smelled the scent of other wolves. His deer half grew more and more afraid as he neared the scents. The female he was looking for… And she was with others. It figured. He wanted to bring Kurai back into her den. It was his job to advise her to stay close to the dens when she was so close to her due date. And, given her stubborn show from before, he wasn’t sure if he would succeed.
Raleigh gave a sigh as he hopped through the brush and revealed himself. No longer a canopy could shadow his awkward shape. He was a deer-wolf. Completely. His antlers were sharp now, as the velvet had been scraped off completely. Sangre Lake. The waters sparkled before him. Despite its gory name, Raleigh always felt that the lake was atypically glorious. It had its own flavor of beauty.
His peripherally placed eyes noted a Yagi and a Lupus-like wolf. He had no idea that the four-legged Cael was a Cael. There was nothing to betray his bloodline… Unlike Raleigh’s ostentatious body. His large deer-ears turned forward in curiosity. He tiptoed close to Kurai, but bowed first to the new wolves. “Welcome to Tribu de Lluvia Sangre…” The Spanish rolled handsomely from his tongue. He learned well from Cesaru.
He turned his eye to Kurai, “And, Empress. I, as Advisor, must push forth a bit of… of advice.” He seemed at ease, but also his voice had a whistle-like tone to it to show his true nervousness. “Well, our pack is small yet. Think of these wolves not as trespassers, but as potential packmembers. And besides. It’s almost time for you to…” He gestured toward her pregnant belly, “And I’d… suggest that you stay just a tad closer to the den, Empress Kurai.” He bowed respectfully, but there was always that challenging gleam in his eye as he let words fly from his mouth like butterflies. Nervous, but somehow, they still held notes of charm and charisma.

Thought Graham as he accepted his invatation to Tribu de Lluvia Sangre. "Gracias, amigo." He replied in a serious tone. He might be snobbish, but he is good at sucking up. The lake was warm, and Graham jumped in. He wanted to see the reaction on their faces when they saw his fish tail.
He felt his legs shrink as his silver snake half erupted. It became the snake very fast, and he felt the power, and he rose back up. He climbed back onto land, and shook his hind half off of all water. It transformed back and Graham asked the question: "So am I in your pack?"

She smiled softly to him, her fur glistening from the water sprayed across her pelt. "Ah, bonjour, friend." She chuckled softly, then sniffed the air. Her ears twitched as she scented a female approaching, that of whom was pregnant... And angry. She lifted her head, the female coming into view. Long horns were nestled on her head, so Carol figured she was a Yagi like herself.
"Get off my lands. Now."
The young female bit her lip as she realized something; she was on pack territory. She had yet to scent it until now. Moments later, another wolf came. He looked half deer. Carol gazed at him curiously before turning back to the pregnant female.
"Ah, I am very sorry. I had no idea this land was occupied." She stepped out of the waters, shaking her fur and making sure not to spray it on the other wolves. She carefully picked her way a few feet away from Kurai, and glanced at both of the wolves. It was clear that the dame was of higher rankings, for the deer-wolf bowed to her neatly. She mimicked his movements, bowing her head down to the alphess. "Alas, I am willing to take upon any punishment for tresspassing on your territory." She stood up, her head lower than Kurai's.
Caroline smiled gently as she thought about this pack of which they spoke of. Tribu de Lluvia Sangre... She paused for a moment. They seem like a strong pack if she is one of the leaders... She awaited the alphess's words before she spoke again.

He whispered close, “Well, you know what they say. There’s nothing scarier than a mother close to her date.” And he gestured toward Kurai. With a point of his hoof, he directed Caroline’s attention to the round stomach of the Empress, full of life and soon ready to whelp them.
He nodded, “Don’t let her bad manners fool you. This pack is worth it. If not because of her, then definitely because of the Alpha.” He was especially cruel to Kurai. He side-stepped his cruelty so that it wasn’t anything obvious. He wasn’t stabbing her with insults. Everything was indirect. It was a flash of a dagger in her side before he went on his way, leaving her to judge his sneak-attack on her ego. His relationship to Kurai was some strange ebb and flow of polite cruelty. Just a bizarre thing to witness.
Raleigh had ignored Graham. He wasn’t really all too keen on show-offs. Especially since it seemed that the Cael just jumped into the water to ignore anything the deer-wolf had said thus far. Raleigh was more interested in Caroline because she seemed more interested in the pack—rather than herself as Graham’s first impression had led Raleigh to believe. The deer wolf sighed and said, “Might as well tell you, Cael, that I don’t know if you are in the pack or not.” He looked to the female Yagi. He hoped that she’d get in.

Just as she was about to cuntinue on the wolves, Raleigh showed up. She pinned her ears back as the deer-wolf pranced forward, pronuceing to the other two. “Welcome to Tribu de Lluvia Sangre…” Than turning to her. “And, Empress. I, as Advisor, must push forth a bit of… of advice.” Pause. “Well, our pack is small yet. Think of these wolves not as trespassers, but as potential packmembers. And besides. It’s almost time for you to…” He gestured torward her belly. “And I’d… suggest that you stay just a tad closer to the den, Empress Kurai.” Than as soon as that little intrusion the others started to babble about the tribe things. Than, Raleigh spoke again, gestureing torward her stomach again and babbleing about her. Finding some of his comments rather... brave for him. She made a side note to give him a nice lesson after she birthed her little killers.
Turning to the two new wolfs, she decided to take Raleighs advise and look over the two. Instantly she took a dislike torward the blue and white Cael. He seemed too...vain for her. But the other wolf, the female Yagi, seemed to be of worth. This female seemed to be already loyal to her, and she had some nice manners. She started to stride torward her. But stopped when she felt a strong pain in her belly.
She gave out a low groan and sat down. Overwhelmed by the pain.

Graham didn't know what to call the deer-looking wolf, so he bowed in respect. Suddenly, the pregnant she-wolf fell to the ground and Graham's draw dropped in shock. That was faster than he thought would happen.
"Well, are you going to help her?!" He exclaimed. He looked at Raleigh, then at Caroline, and rushed over to Kurai. She looked like she was in pain. He knew this was his chance. He ran to the lake and looked for something to help, and then ran back. "What can I do to help?"

She knew her manipulative ways were doing their job, but she wasn't doing it for just anything. She had become interested in this so-called tribe, and by the looks of it, it was in the makings of a strong pack at that.
Caroline noted the dame's round belly, teaming with pups. Her stubby tail twitched with amusement. So, they already had pups on their minds? She liked this.
The female Yagi opened her maw to speak when Kurai cringed in pain. She stepped forward, but enough to keep her distance to give her room. Graham was looking for something to help with and quite frankly, Caroline didn't exactly know how to take care of a pregnant mother. She finally came to Kurai's side, her instincts guiding her.
"Breathe. Take deep breaths, Empress." She said to her, willing to help in any way she could. "Just sit still for a moment; the pain should die down a bit..." She murmured once more, eyes glistening at the excitement. She put her breaths in unison to Kurai's, moving her head to look at her plump belly.

He really was upset because Kurai always seemed to ignore his advice again and again. And now, she was going into labor here. Right here. The deer-wolf stood tall, remained calm and said, “Well, I think it’s of greater importance to get her to the den. The pups must be born safe and sh-she would be more comfortable there… in her den, I mean.” A slight stutter caught his tongue and he frowned at it. The deer-wolf also noted that his sentence disintegrated toward the end and he mentally cursed himself because he had thought himself over his original obstacles. How can I be a smooth talker with a nervous stutter among other things?
The deer-wolf re-gathered himself and said, “Well, well, it’s proper that we should head out once the pain subsides a bit and go before the next time it affects her. Even still, there are three of us. I just feel that it’s more important to guarantee the pups’ safeties than it is to have them here… just because Empress Kurai refused to listen to my advice in the first place.” He nodded, “I don’t say things because I hate you, Empress. It’s because I care.” He smiled; he knew full-well that the reason he was so cruel was simply because he hated her. However, to say it in such an innocent voice, with such an innocent tone… that he cared! There was never such a beautiful lie. And Raleigh only said it so that the other wolves could respect him as an Advisor.
He was giving good, sound advice to the pregnant female, wasn’t he? But he did care about the pups inside of her. They had not yet wronged him. And he wondered if Kurai still wanted him to educate them.

The she wolfsucked in another breath as she attempted to stand. She could at least try to get torward the dens, or hobble her way bit by bit through her pains. That way her pups would be born in safety, away from muck that could suck them up or the huge monsters that roamed the place. Her mind wandered to the blue Caels words, something about how he coould help. Turning her head torward him, she managed to snap "Go find me herbs, something to ease the pain. But if you take one step torward-" She gave a gasp as another slight pain took her. Than went on. "Hurting my lands, you are dead."
Than she attempted walking a few more steps forward, and failing. She sat there for a moment, before casting a harsh glance torward Caroline and Raleigh. "Move and prove your worth, help me to the dens!"

Graham replied, and then he ran until he saw the Unrek plants. He ripped them out of the ground and tore the roots off. He ran back and gave them to the Empress. "I'm good with medicine, and these roots will help a ton. Now, lets get you back to the dens." Graham said while helping Kurai limp back to the dens.
