A great pounding could be heard, along with a rush of air. Somthing was moving, somewhere in the jungle. On the ground? In the trees?
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Ah, in the air! There, flapping above the trees, was a large reptile, but not just any reptile. A dragon! Yes, a female Northern Dragon with red scales and green-yellow eyes was flying lower and lower towards the ground.
Seeing a brake in the canopy, Tezcacoatl dived for it, folding her wings as close to her sides as possible to protect from possible damage, but while still being able to get enough lift to fly. Stretching her hind legs out in front of her, she landed in the Jungle, the leaves around her rustling.
Tezcacoatl turned her deep gaze around, wondering if this would be a good site to nest. She wanted a home, but no neccessarily soon. She wanted to explore all over, and then, then she'd lord over a territory of her own and call it home. Tezcacoatl wanted to explore every place before she decided.
Taking a few steps forward, she reared up on her hind legs, just slightly, and rested her front claws on a large tree trunk. Raking her claws down it, over and over again, she wanted to leave a mark, to show where she'd been.

He was wandering again. He was too afraid to stay in one place, too afraid of being a target for anyone who would wish him harm. And, to his broken mind, everyone wished him harm. Scarred, mangy and missing a hindleg, he was a pitiful sight. It could be seen from the slight tilt of his head and the narrowing of his gaze, he was blind in one very cloudy eye. What a pathetic creature, he had no right to be alive, no right to be the mighty wolf.
Pausing in the thick scenery of the jungle, the broken Cael scented the air, drinking in the smells of the wilderness. And as he did so, he stiffened, as still as a statue. Upon the air, he'd caught the unmistakenly powerful odour of a fully mature northern dragon, a mighty beast and deadly predator. His tattered ears flattened against his blue tinted head, frightened eyes flickering side to side in absolute terror. Subconsciously, his body lowered to the dirty floor, crouching as close as possible to the brown-green earth. What if this dragon had smelt, seen or heard him? He wasn't quiet, not with his limp and his aching joints. What if he had been noticed?
Trembling, he wanted desperately to cry out in fear, to turn and flee, but he could smell no water nearby. Upon the land, he was as ungainly as a fish, hampered and slow. But the indecision was just as terrifying to him as either decision. Stay and hope he hadn't been noticed, or flee and hope he could run faster than the dragon in the dense jungle foliage. He'd broken out into a sweat and was struggling not to pant, in an effort not to alert the enemy further. His body ached from staying in his absolutely still and tense position, his paws gripped the earth in utter terror. How did he get himself into these situations?

○○○○○○○○○○○○○○ The black, female Sennyo was exploring again. Yes, again. She couldn't help it - even though she hated this hot, humid place of hell. Though, the she-wolf shuffled her delicate blue butterfly wings as she sensed something strange. Unlike five seconds ago, the parrots were quiet and the animals hid in their homes in a flash. Eh? What was going on in this horrid place? Nocturne nearly tripped over a twig due to her missing hindleg as she scented - a dragon. A dragon, eh? I've never seen one before. She fearlessly thought, her eyes scanning the area she was standing in. Sweat soaked her body. Her throat was still dry and chapped, because the sticky drink of dew didn't help much earlier. Her ears flattened as she saw from a small mile away a huge female dragon with shiny red scales. Nocturne was a little afraid that the dragon might be hunting, but was calm as she stood and watch it scape a log with it's large claws. Her deep blue eyes darted to another area where a mangy Cael stood still and stiff. What the heck is he trying to do? Hide? From a dragon that far away? Nocturne's eyes twinkled as she saw he was missing a hindleg, like her. So she felt relieved she wasn't the only one who knew how hard it was to be missing a leg. The male Cael had terror in his eyes. She figured he was afraid of the dragon. She wasn't sure if she was scared of the dragon or not. She quietly walked closer to the dragon, but then a pang of fright remained her that the magnificent dragons sometimes breath fire. She re-thought it and backed away quickly, only to bump into the male's side lightly. "Excuse me."
