Shiranui growled impatiently. Her red paws pushed silently from the jungle grasses of the Salnero. The heat was killing her. Whoosh! As she passed a red cedar some of the air around its' leaves shot into her nostrils. The swirly symbol on her right forepaw ceased its flashing. As Shira continued learning her territory she thought about that Keiyou. Why was he appearing in her dreams? Thump thump thump-thump went her paws, but in a rapid fashion for she was running. A blue scar ran from her lip across to the other side of her muzzle. This was her Mark, or so went that old legend. The Aura Guardians could control aura and by sensing and catching the aura of others they were able to read their thoughts and feelings. Like Shira believed a pence of it. A colored unhealable scar gave you that? Then she collided with a furry bundle. It was one of the pack members.

Prior to the collision, Isoldephine had been sat quietly with her own thoughts, enjoying the little break away from the pack. At times she wasn’t the most sociable, her time as a loner had only strengthened that portion of her personality. She did try with these wolves, who in theory she should get on better with, but the peace was still nice. During quiet moments alone like this, with her eyes tight shut the cold lupus could imagine she was absolutely anywhere, the temperatures all felt the same.
Now though her thoughts were interrupted and she rose, turning to look at the clumsy wolf who had walked into her. Another lupus of course, a fellow female who fell a little on the short side, with her extra four inches and position though, Isoldephine did look a fair amount taller than the grunt before her. The Associate’s muzzle flashed a grin as she recognised the figure to be the newest member of the mafia.
“Well hello.” She stated simply. She hadn’t really spoken to the newest member of the mafia before, nor had she had any time alone with her. Now would be a good opportunity for that to happen, though Isoldephine wasn’t exactly the friendliest of wolves, none of them were in the mafia. She liked to spend her time alone, others probably preferred not to be near the cold lupus either. They couldn’t feel her lack of temperature unless she extended the power upon them, something she had done once or twice. She was careful with her powers, though since joining the pack she had certainly been inspired to begin working with her powers again. She was already gaining better control of them now.
Shiranui would probably be glad for Isoldephine to have a little practice, however, she didn’t for now. Instead her red eyes continued to watch the grunt, waiting for Shiranui to do something else, say something else even. Isoldephine wondered whether she would apologise or blame her. Though Isoldephine wasn’t high in the pack, she of course held a higher rank than the grunt, she would be wise not to take the latter as an option.

Shiranui bowed her head. "I am very sorry," she sincerely apologized. "I was busy with my thoughts. My apologies." The youngster said this without looking up. Then she swirled her eyes upwards to see that it was Isodelphine. One of the Associates. Shira tucked her tail in. Crap, she thought. Associate was second only to Capo, which Shira was aiming for. Isodelphine was a fine wolf in her eyes. Much more of a sight then those damn hybrid coyotes. But what would this wolf do? Clearly she was the stronger of the two. Shira had her wind ability and yes could suffocate her, but this was a packmate of hers. To the side she saw it. Him. He stood to the side where the Associate could not see him. And Shiar thought that he was mighty fine for a Keiyou. Not like she had had experience with males before. That life had never welcomed her. He winked, and was gone. Now Shiranui had to wait for the Associate. Would she forgive Shira? She had not meant any harm. Or would she give the newbie what-for just for ruining her leisure time?

It was a little more courtesy than she would have expected from most of the wolves in the mafia, but then this wolf was a Grunt to begin with, if she wanted to stand a chance then she had to be careful what she said. It was definitely a wise move for someone in her position though Isoldephine did note that she had responded before even looking upon the obstacle in her path. Of course she ought to show respect to anyone above her in the pack, though certain wolves certainly deserved more respect than others.
Now though it was her turn to comment and react to Shiranui again. She could be cruel, scolding her and enjoying a brief moment of power as it was of course rare that Isoldephine could have such power over another wolf in the pack. Instead though, Isoldephine chose to take a slightly nicer route, this wolf knew her place some form of punishment or threat to tell a higher ranking member certainly wasn’t necessary, the lupus certainly wouldn’t choose the latter option for something so petty anyway.
“You’d better watch yourself next time.” Isoldephine responded sharply. The words weren’t really hurtful, nor the tone particularly angry, more of a warning within her voice. “If you struggle to multi-task perhaps you should stop and sit if you need time with your thoughts.” Still she wasn’t speaking in a particularly friendly way, though it was obvious, perhaps more-so to someone not in Shiranui’s position, to tell that this wasn’t going to turn ugly; it was just a little verbal warning, nothing more.

Shiranui nearly fell over with shock. A mere warning? Shira had never been abused before or anything of the sort, but why had she got off so easily? Oh well. No time to dwell on that. "Um, thanks, Miss Isodelphine." Hell, she might as well return the favor. Scampering through a clump of ferns she turned and looked back to see if the Associate dared to follow. Nah, I won't tell her about Him. She'd think I was nuts. But the Grunt felt a twist in her stomach. What did He want? The mosquitoes and scalding heat were nothing right now. Shira needed help. But then, maybe it was all in her head. Isodelphine did not see nor hear Him. If she kept this up-she did not know. Shira curled up on a mossy boulder, not caring for the biting ants. She dreamed fitfully. More of a nightmare than a dream. He came as always. But then the Associate was whispering in her ear. However she could not hear her. A feeling of unease seeped through her veins. Upon waking up she hurried to the river. There she quenched her thirst. A pair of birds flitted over the river, obviously enjoying their courtship. As she looked down into the river she saw a pair of beautiful green eyes. Definetly his eyes. "Awoooohhhowoo-OH!" she howled in frustration. Her swirly paw slashed at the river. Then she knelt down. Her little head dangled over the edge and she closed her eyes. She did not know what to do. Then she heard singing, and ceased her weeping. "Go away!" she snarled, her voice hoarse. The singing grew. When it was right upon her it quieted and a voice spoke out to her.
