Bored, bored, bored bored.....bored bored.....BORED!! Seriously, there was nothing going on, Pyke thought there would be more excitement if he joined a pack...more interactions...more...something. The electric lupus was bored out of his mind. How had he even survived the winter? He was usually good at entertaining himself or at least finding strangers to mess with, but no one in the pack seemed interested in him being there. He hardly even saw Six...or whatever her names was. The spring air was making him antsy.
He wandered towards the big lake, despite his hatred of water. It was actually the last spot he had searched for something to do....all other places in the territory seemed dull and boring as well. He looked around with his mischievous yellow eyes. Rock. Rock. Bigger rock. So far nothing entertaining....
He came to the edge of the water quickly losing interest in this place too, then his eye caught something strange. Right by the waters edge seemed to be a very old rock...one that had a woody shrub on it, the roots creating cracks in the rock. He smacked his lips together, his tongue flicking out to moisten them as his mind ticked through the possibilities.
Water. Wood. Brittle rock?
Soon a devious smirk played on his gray maw. " Pyke, you handsome devil! I think it is time for an experiment!" He turned and lopped a few paces away from the rock, attempting to remain parallel with the water. He paused mid stride though, got an idea and spun back around.
SPLOSH! He pounced into the water, feet only getting wet. He kicked some more water on the rock around the plant. He chuckled to himself and then ran a back to the point he originally wanted to stand at.
He rubbed his feet on the ground, making his feet dry and warm soon creating friction, he just needed a little spark to get it started. He tried to focus his energy, trying to call worth his power at will, which, he had to admit, was getting easier with practice. Soon static began to build around him...the familiar scent of ionization crinkled in the air. He opened his mouth, pointing his nose right at the base of the rock nearest the water.
CrrrrracKA-BOOM!
A bolt of electricity shot forth, connecting with the rock and tender in a very satisfying explosion.

LiGHTNiNG.
[/b] She'd seen it often, illuminating the skies during the darkest hours and producing deafening cracks at day. There wasn't much she could do to satiate her curiosities, but she had wondered where it came from. The sky wasn't a powerful thing; it cried and it smiled, the extent of its emotions ending there. For years its origin had been kept hidden, an invisible specter dancing around her head and resurfacing when she thought of it. Today, she found out. Mantra had been skirting the water line of Parren lake, guilt filling the crevices of her mind. It did no good to think about the damage she'd caused to wolf families region-wide, stealing away their brethren, believing it was all right so long as she left their hearts. Outings used to give the femme a rejuvenating sense of freedom, but now they were dreadful. Her leisurely walks had turned into flights and the ambush of resentful eyes staring at her, yearning vengeance. She was in pack territory, she knew, but it served as a temporary refuge from the loners that trailed her. The peace was also temporary, it seemed; unsuspectingly, a boulder exploded not a far distance from her, causing her to jolt. The sound in its wake reverberated painfully in her ears, but it disappeared almost as quickly as it had come. Luring bicolored optics found their way upon a male whose lightning creation had brightened the aura of his entrance into her spotlight, a sole elliptical beaming down upon the polished stage of her memory. Certainly extravagant, he looked pretty proud of himself; he deserved to. "When's your next showtime, pistol..?" she cooed from her perch, which was just in hearing range of the colorfully-grayscale Lupus. She considered approaching, but decided against it, considering the power he so recklessly wielded. What have rocks done to him that there was such a grudge..? That, too, she had to wonder. His smirk could have split open his head had it been a smidgen wider. His experiment had been successful: Wood + Water + Brittle Rock + Electricity/Pyke's Awsomeness = EXPLOSION!
He shook out his pelt, trying to get the static fur to lay back down. His ear and a half swiveled to attention as he heard a female voice. He had a spectator? Sweet! He spun to look towards the femme fatale, a....sennyo? Well what would be just the treat now wouldn't it? An older woman thinking him grand at first glance.
"Well that all depends, how long to you plan to stick around?" He lathered on the charm, the sun angel brought out the scars on his face, most notably the one down his right eye. To him they added a rugged appearance, and chicks dug that right?
He was relatively oblivious to her minding of distance, he strode closer, to get a better look at the odd appearing wolf. He gave a slight bow of he head, an excuse to look her up and down, as he introduced himself, "I'm Pyke, who might you be?"
Perhaps this day would prove to be more interesting then her first suspected.

THiS WAS iNTERESTiNG.
[/b] Suddenly, Mantra wanted to retreat into her cloak, her shadow; hide her identity. Her passive eyes followed him as he advanced, but she didn't tense or draw away from his presence as it neared. If he could blow a stone to little fragments, he could potentially do the same to her head - not that she believed he would. She was convinced beyond doubt that he was satisfied with the reaction he'd received from the show, and with the expression that was set into his scarred facade, his insertion of charm confirmed it. Provoked by this, she dared to toy with him. "I'm someone ─ someone certainly not as intriguing as the handsome stranger wreaking havoc on an innocent boulder."The femme propelled herself forward slightly, her nose inching along his jawline as both a salutation and a way to catch his scent. It branded him part of a pack, but to which she didn't know; it made her wonder why he had strayed from the confines of company, but she then realized that this power he possessed differentiated him from the others. Unique.. and charming, to a degree. Mantra took a step back and lifted her head a fraction of an inch higher, lucid eyes never averting from his own. A sly smile played her lips. "Tell me, is slaughtering inanimate objects a favorite past-time of yours..?"[/color] [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Ah she was playing hard to get, excellent. The last few females he had hung out with seemed either oblivious, to needy or his sister. He froze in place as she came right up for a more intimate greeting. His tail wagged though as he inhaled her scent as well.
"Someone, eh? That's a strange name." He smirked again, knowing well that it was not her name, but he would call her that until she gave him her actual name. Her next question made him turn back around to look at the smoldering object, pride still painted on his worn face, " That was my first time, but I will sure as hell try it again."
With that on his mind he spun around and trotted over to the boulder remains, examining his handy work now that it had cooled off a little. He doubted he could do it again anytime soon, his grasp on his powers was sporadic at the least. He looked back over to her, wondering if she was going to assess the damage too.

SHE STUCK AROUND,
[/b] driven by her curiosities. As he whirled around, possibly to admire his work, she, too, decided to examine the amounts of destruction that had been caused by that single bolt. The ebony fae stayed by his heels until they neared, when she decided to branch off for a closer look. The damage was fair; the boulder that had been there minutes before, one of the ones that her eyes happened to skim as she'd ambled along the lakeside, was almost completely gone. Only the bottom of it remained, severed by the crack, and rock remnants were still skittering aimlessly across the land. When all went still again, Mantra threw a rather tender glance over her shoulder. "But your next target won't be a breathing one, is that right..?" she asked, flicking her tail playfully in his face before letting it hang limp at her hindquarters. There was a hint of seriousness and concern in her tone, the sort she rarely used with strangers. This was one helluva stranger, though, to wield such a power that it proved to be destructive to the environment. [/color] [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

He swelled a little with pride as she accompanied him in the assessment of the damage. Once he was satisfied with his work, he looked over another bit of work closer to him. He studied the females body, he was pretty sure she was a sennyo, they had butterfly wings right? He liked the idea of a rare treat awing over him.
Her next words, accompanied by a flirtatious tail flick made his half ear fold back is his whole ear point forward, " Oh of course not, doll. I wouldn't dream of hurting you." But he would dream of other things, that was for certain.
He gave her another sniff, " Say, you smell like another pack, where are you from? You aren't a spy or anything are you?" His words were half serious...no no they weren't. His smirk was splayed on his scarred face as if the idea of her being a threat was humorous. Since she had just asked him if he was a threat.

MANTRA AVERTED HER EYES
[/b] back to the damage, ears swiveling forward at the new name he had branded her. What he didn't know was that she wasn't referring to herself. She was quite certain that he couldn't do any harm to her without losing a few toes, an ear, or.. an extremity of greater importance to the opposite sex. Pyke might have been stronger given his sturdy physique and power, but Mantra had an old, ravenous habit that probably wouldn't sit well with him. It was one of her indefinite faults, one that is concealed by beauty and unnoticeable to the world. In truth, she was concerned for him. This talk of hurt, and Mantra was really the monster underneath, more capable of hurting than assuming the role of the victim. She wanted to say something, get it out before closing up for good, but he might walk away from her like the others. He would not associate himself. She didn't want that. Carefully, Mantra seated herself at the water's edge, watching as it grappled the tips of her paws. "Romneya Republic," the Myou answered after his question registered in her mind, and she turned her head to catch the lazy smirk settling across his face. "No, I'm not a spy. I like a direct approach as opposed to distance. It makes my job quicker and" ─ she eyed him with a look that mirrored his ─ "more efficient."[/color] [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

His tail wagged in appreciation of her attitude towards him. She was something else, that was for sure. He really didn't care what pack she was in, truth be told he didn't really pay attention to other packs. He could hardly remember what HIS back was called.
" The direct approach you say? Tell me more about that." He sat down, more inclined to actually have a conversation now that his angst was out of the way. His gray and blue fur fluttered a little in a passing breeze.
" I suppose I'm more like that too. Who needs sneaking around when you can just run in and get it done." Yes he was quite cocky and perhaps full of himself. His ego had just gotten a shiny new coat of polish and he wanted to milk it for all it was worth.

THE FAE'S BiCOLORED GAZE
[/b] returned to the lake, a brow raised inquisitively at Pyke's words. Her smile then broadened into a smirk of her own, an amused one that was almost foreign on her lips as it spread. "Ooh, yes. I'm sure that rock never saw you coming," she mused, whirling back around to face him. In a graceful maneuver, she brushed her nightshade coat against his side, sliding against him with the lightest of caresses. Wings shuddered, stretching after having been coiled at her back, spanning outward as would a bird's bones before flight. One of them gently grazed his neck, gliding down his shoulder blade and along his frame; for a long moment Mantra stood, semi-leaning against the male, offering a bit of warmth. He needed it. "Why don't you go apologize to it, hmm..?"In a hot second she'd done an about-face and was now actively working toward shoving him into Parren Lake, hoping to get him in the water. He was a bit surprised at her touch, but her words made him relax a bit, " Oh It saw me coming alright, I had to prepare it for it's end of course." Cocky smirk and a slight scoot had him closer to her, enjoying the warmth and well the company of course of course.
Apologize? To a rock? That seemed silly even for him, " What? Why?" He seemed quizzical, but her next maneuver impressed him enough to take a few steps toward the water. He hated water, so he would make sure not to get too terribly close.
" How do you suggest I apologize to a rock?" His tail twitched in curiosity, but also in a sort of teasing manner. [/scrolly] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,230,true] |

MANTRA STOPPED PROPELLING HiM
[/b] toward the waters and relieved the pressure, giving back his personal space. With a nearly inaudible sigh she contemplated his question, not quite sure how the gesture itself might work. Speaking to an inanimate object..? Not only would he not receive an answer, but it would probably ruin that self-image. "I suppose you really can't, considering you've blown it up."Moving to his side, she seated herself again. A spur-of-the-moment question was dancing around her head, begging to be spilled, but she wasn't sure whether it was too personal a query. She had just met this male, but he seemed like an idea-driven, confident guy. He should be very capable of answering, and yet she still selected her words with the precision of one who actually thought about these things. Would others find her odd for spontaneous questions? Was it really necessary to ask them in the long run..? "Pyke," she addressed him softly, glancing out across the lake that shimmered like golden scales in the sun. "Do you have a dream..? A goal, perhaps?"[/color] [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

He chuckled at her musing about the unfortunate boulder, he wondered when he would be able to do that again, but only briefly. He looked at the lake, right now it looked calm and unassuming, but he knew better than that. He was determined only to use water if he needed it or wanted to explode something more effectively.
She sat back down and he took the moment to get at an itch under his foreleg's arm pit. Not satisfied with that, he felt the itch move to his back, so he flopped onto the ground and rolled in the grass to itch his back, legs cycling through the air. He looked up and over at her as she asked a relatively strange question.
" Goals? I dunno. I guess hooking up with three--" He paused, usually he completely lacked tact, but maybe he shouldn't talk to a female about wanting a harem, He coughed, rolling to his belly, " I mean meeting a dame and treating her to the best night of her life....and eventually having a pack and pups with her..." Would that work as a dream? It kinda sounded cut and dry to him. Maybe she wouldn't notice?
Trying to throw it on her, he asked, quite quickly, " What about you, Someone?" He was aware she had yet to give him her name, but he would play with it until she decided to.

iT WAS EASY TO ASSUME
[/b] what he was going to say, simply because she was familiar with his sort. The Lupus probably hinged on anything to get his name known, along with getting his handsome face printed in everyone’s mind when they thought of a prince - or a god, perhaps. He had the decent control of one; threads of destructive light that were thought to have originated somewhere in the sky were at the tips of his claws, waiting to be exerted on the deserving. The boulder was just practice, a substitute for the real target. Mantra still wanted to know what it was he planned to use it on, as something so lethal shouldn't be ignored. She also didn't want to drop a barrage of questions on top of him. That would be rude. "Me..?" the fae cooed, batting at base of his tail with her own, occasionally furling it around herself. A gentle smile settled onto her facade and she exchanged a curious glance, eyelids draped half-way over gleaming gray and orange. Her delicacies of wings fluttered in the same breeze that stroked its fingers through Pyke's coat. "I only have so long, so.. I want to do everything."
