Rivaxorus yawned, pulling her back paws under her. She liked hot places, made her feel safe from the water. From her turning into a merwolf. Although her newly found mate Koga did not seem to mind. She yawned once more a bit sleepy, she was thirsty as well. Wondering if Koga would pass by or be searching for her. Maybe he would have some water or food.

The sand blew in slow eddies across the desert, the hot sun bearing down on Koga's copper-bronze feathers. Every muscle in his body felt wrenched and knotted. He'd spent last night trying to hunt snakes and had taken a tumble over a short, steep cliff in the process. Careful not to rustle his plumage, he slunk around a smooth sandstone boulder, and discovered a familiar face. His mate was sprawled out with a rather comfortable look on her face. Wagging his tail in greeting, he ambled up to her and nosed her cheek. "Well, what a surprise! I didn't think I'd find you in this deathly hot place." Indeed the heat did bother Koga, seeing as he had just finished his molt and was growing his down feathers again. He settled down beside his friend, sighing in boredom. The desert wasn't only hot, it was tiresome to him, to try and find entertainment other than tracking your own scent trails. "What brings you here?" he queried.

Rivaxorus looked up and wagged her tail spotting her mate. Who just happened to be here. She liked hot places again, she hated being a merwolf. The cael sat up more, not being in her relaxed position. She was pregnant, that was sure. But, she was not showing yet, so it was hard to know that she was bearing pups. "I was going to stay here until our pups were born. Because, I hate being near water." she replied. For one she did not want to be a fish while her unborn pups were here. Since, a dragon could come along and tear her apart, giving them no life. Maybe even Koga would be torn then.

Koga glanced at her understandingly, she had never really cared much for her Cael side. In the short time he had known her, she had never once told him she had found swimming useful. Shaking his thoughts elsewhere, he turned back to her. "Are you sure the heat won't get to you?" He asked, worried the relentless sun would give her heat stroke and steal her senses. There was always imminent danger in that happening. Snakes, vultures, anything could snatch away the most precious things in an instant. OOC: I'll fnish this later, Riv
