It was evident spring had arrived, and with it, new life. The grass was lush from the water and fertile soil, and it scented the air heavily with its dewy perfume. As most mornings went, it was a fairly quiet start, the gentle breeze rolling through, the misty ground forming dew drops on the blades of grass. It only took a few minutes for the silence to be broken as a small pup bounded through. At a distance, he was thought to be white, a small albino like pup, and yet, with closer scrutiny, one could point out the assortment of colours which obscured and broke up the pristine white. The fur on the pup was long, causing him to not only look fluffy, but a little bit bigger than he actually was. The streaks of rainbow though stood out quite well, as if a painter had splattered his canvas with sporadic strokes.
Beside the ambling puppy as another creature, much different than his companion. The unicorn trotted beside the pup, his gait matching his friend's. In comparison to the white of the pup, the unicorn's body was completely ebony black, with a bright white mane, tail and feathers around each hoof. Again, the white was sporadically intertwined with rainbow flicks on his mane and tail. The two looked almost like opposites, and yet, so very similar it was easy to tell the resemblance. The morning light glinted off the silver, spiraled horn that grew from the unicorn's forehead as the duo pranced through the meadow.
It seemed both the daja puppy and his daemon were in quite a good mood, despite the early hour. As the two ambled through the grasses, their bodies quickly became wet with the morning dew, causing them to glimmer a little bit in the sun. It was only when they reached the river's edge did they stop. Zarcielix, the pup, waded into the water, prancing as he went before dunking his head into it and lapping up a mouthful. Arcoiris, the unicorn watched tentatively from the shore, only lowering his head for a moment to drink. The two had found some carrion just about an hour ago, and Ciel had filled his empty belly. It was easy enough for Arc to live by himself, as he mainly lived off grasses and other shrubbery, but vegetation wasn't enough for the little pup. With no one to teach him exactly how to hunt, and being too small to attempt it himself, he was left with having to scavenge for food.
Ciel finally left the water, leaping over to Arc's side and brushing his now very soggy body up against his daemon's legs, licking at him affectionately. "Arcy, what're we going to do today?"

Kiet trotted slowly down through the meadow, spurred forward by the burn of hunger. The North had disappointed him. It was barren, cold, not at all like his memories of of squealing laughter and roughhousing, flinging snow everywhere. It lacked everything he had come for: a family.
At a savage growl from his stomach, he scolded himself. Enough of this! You need food, and you need it now! Slowing to a walk, the Yagi sniffed the air. He blinked. There actually was something here. A unicorn! Kiet sniffed again. A wolf, too. Does he want my unicorn? "Well you're not getting it... That unicorn's mine!" he growled.
Kiet dropped down in the colorful wildflowers, trying to locate the unicorn. Splashes and rustling made his ears swivel to the side. His range eyes narrowed as his head slowly turned. There, by the river. Just the scent of unicorn made his hunger unbearable. It was impossible for Kiet to think enough to use any strategy. He came closer, closer, then sprang up and charged at the creature.
The scene he encountered was incredibly confusing. A young wolf, splashed with color, was rubbing himself against the unicorn. Kiet's open mouth snapped shut and his hunting posture ceased and he clumsily dove to the side to avoid the stupid puppy. SPLASH! He heard the noise before he was aware of himself flailing in the river.
Furious, Kiet paddled toward the bank, making slow progress due to his shock, anger and hunger. "What the hell are you doing!" he snapped at the puppy.

If the little pup knew exactly what was coming his way, he probably would have... well, really, he would have bounced towards the wolf and tried to invite him to play tag. This was, of course, why Zarcielix was constantly being moved about by his daemon, keeping his naive, innocent personality out of harms way. But unfortunately for the two, it seemed that today was not going to pan out glitch free. In fact, it appeared as if the two had landed themselves in quite a heap of trouble.
Arcoiris was receiving Ciel's affectionate nuzzles when he heard the splashes. Why he hadn't noticed the disturbance in the water sooner, he could hardly fathom. But out of the water leapt the most vile creature he had ever seen. The beast was not only huge, bulky, and an array of earthy colours, but had horns. Arc snorted loudly, whinnying, and reared up on his hind legs. Ciel, who had only noticed the zoom of colour and bulk, let out a loud squeal as his daemon reared. He scooted further under the unicorn, avoiding the flailing of hooves as the foal tried to regain his composure and balance. Which was, of course, not an easy thing to do when a hungry monster had just lunged itself at him.
The body landed awkwardly in the water, swerving out and missing the duo narrowly. He seemed to flail just as Arc had a few seconds ago. The lag had given Arcoiris enough time to firmly plant each hoof down before him, both ears pulled back across his skull. The puppy, Ciel, was below the unicorn, staring out with wide, stunned eyes. He had never seen a yagi before, and the sight was very strange indeed. He was peering out from beneath his daemon when the wolf returned to the bank, snapping at him. Arcoiris snorted loudly, about to speak when Zarcielix bounced out from below the unicorn.
"WOW. YOU HAVE BIG HORNS." The daja puppy stared up at the wolf before him with bright, rainbow-coloured eyes. Arcoiris stomped his hoof behind him, quite distressed by the current events.

Kiet's ears flattened backward. The stupid puppy was treating a prime piece of food as a... a... friend, and all he could do was comment on his horns? Spitting harshly, Kiet dragged himself ashore and stomped toward the foolish pup. He stared down disapprovingly at it and pulled his lips back in a savage snarl. His eyes were dark and angry as he stood there, glaring at the colorful thing, no longer worrying about losing the unicorn. If it hadn't run yet, it would be easy enough to catch later.
"I think you heard me. And I think you should have an interesting enough answer. So you'd better spit it out, before I eat you both for breakfast." By then, Kiet was shaking in rage and hunger. His breath was ragged and his fraying temper was barely keeping him in one spot. Slowly, a whine eased its way through the Yagi's clenched teeth. He didn't want to hurt the puppy, he just wanted food.

Every instinct in him told him to run, and run as fast as he could. And yet, there was nothing he could do, because he wouldn't leave Zarcielix, and the pup seemed quite intent on staying there and speaking to the angry beast of a wolf. When the wolf snarled, Arcoiris snorted his body tense as he watched the wolf speak. Zarcielix had his little tail wagging intensely behind him, but the snarl set him off slightly. He let out a little bit of a whimper and retreated back underneath his daemon.
As if something had caught the normally talkative pup's tongue, he just stared up at the yagi with big rainbow eyes, letting out another whine. He didn't want to be breakfast; not one bit. Arcoiris, sensing the pup's hesitance, snorted once more, and turned his hard eyes towards the wolf. 'He is my wolf,' he said simply, his voice somber and with quite a distinct edge. Ciel had moved himself until he was behind Arcoiris's leg, peering out a little bit.
'Are you satisfied now, wolf?' he replied, his tail flicking behind him. He took a very tentative step back, using his leg to pull the puppy back with him. Zarcielix happily abided, bounding backwards and whining.

Kiet growled as the colorful wolf backed up underneath the unicorn. He was about to repeat his harsh words when the unicorn spoke. At first he thought it was the puppy finally answering. The Yagi opened his mouth to laugh at the frightened thing when he suddenly realized that the words did not fit the puppy. The voice was different, the words were not right...
His eyes widened and his mouth opened and shut dumbly as he struggled to find something to say. Kiet knew there were some creatures who could speak wolf, but unicorn had never been on that list. They were just too stupid. As if to prove to Kiet that it could, in fact, speak, the unicorn did it again.
Kiet took a step backward, his mouth still swinging open and shut like a fish. "Well... Eeesh... Not, uh, quite?" he stammered. "Eh, so um... Unicorns, they just don't, just don't go around owning... Puppies." Yet it was true. The puppy did whatever the unicorn asked, it seemed. The unicorn was obviously acting as a protector for the pup. Yet it was all impossible, and that fact made Kiet's head spin.

That didn't hold true for the little puppy who sat below him, curled up around his leg. Zarcielix was staring out with his mouth wide open at the big angry beast. Apparently both wolves seemed to have the same reaction and expression though, as the yagi moved backwards, is mouth hung open in the same dumb way Ciel had his.
Zarcielix though, as the wolf spoke, tentatively looked out from beneath his daemon, staring up. He had seemed to gain some semblance of confidence at the yagi's words, his large paws planting on the ground as he looked up. "No, no, Arcy doesn't own me silly!" he giggled, startling the unicorn slightly. Arcoiris snorted hesitantly, his tail flicking angrily. Should the wolf decide to become aggressive again, Ciel was right in the path of attack. The little pup's tail began to waggle again, as he looked up at the yagi.
"Arcy came out of me! He started out all in my head, and then all of a sudden he was with me! We're best friends," he said, nodding eagerly as he spoke. Clearly, what he had said sounded crazy, but of course, the little puppy didn't quite realise that. Arc snorted again giving his head a slight shake. 'What the pup is trying to explain is that, I was his second soul. He was a myou wolf, just like his parents and siblings. But something happened, and my body manifested itself outside of his mind, hence, me,' he said, his voice much more mature than the puppy, who's tail wagging now took on a full body shake as he waited with anticipation for his new 'friend' to talk.

It just wasn't fair for his mind to taunt him with unicorns in front of his face and annoying little puppies. "He started out all in my head. . ." Kiet moaned. "You all started out in my head. Get away! You're distracting me from what I actually need. I don't need brain-food. I need wolf food!"
Hold it. Think for a moment. Would you ever, in a million years, even remotely consider that there might be talking unicorns? No. But let's take the easy way out. In front of you stand bitty pieces of your wild imagination.
What a party crasher that unicorn was. He just had to take it upon himself to explain the ridiculous situation in dumbed-down words. So he wasn't just having a bad dream. Reality really was just cruel. "You're a real downer, you know." he told the unicorn. "I just figure it all out nice and easy, and you just have to go about explaining everything. Nice. Job." Kiet spat.
He felt insane. He sort of liked that strange, eyes-half-closed, imagining himself walking with a swagger with drool dribbling out of his mouth feeling. Kiet didn't know why, he just guessed he liked acting. Feeling a sudden urge to be dramatic, Kiet flopped onto his side, half-closed his eyes and drooled. You are so lame. This is not even funny. Oh wait-HELL YEAH IT IS! Just wait 'n see what they do.
OOC: I'm sorry it's so random and late. I just feel dramatic and insane and bored... Who knows, maybe it'll be something fun for you to work with.

He was proud of his answer to this monster; it seemed legit, right? Unicorns came out of wolves' minds all the time, duh. At least, for Ciel that was the case. But when his new 'friend' spoke, Ciel pouted a little bit. He was grumpy, and hungry. He didn't understand why though; he was a big grown up monster wolf and he could go get tasty foods for himself. Why was he hungry? Maybe he was so scary that he frightened away the food.
Arcoiris, the unicorn, was awaiting the response from the yagi. He seemed to be calmed down some, at least, and his explaination had been logical. It had answered the question and clarified what Ciel had said. But apparently his answer wasn't exactly what the yagi was looking for. A real downer, eh? Arcoiris snorted lightly and his ears pulled back. 'I fail to see how my explaination caused you any hardship, wolf,' he replied, his rainbow coloured eyes staring at the wolf as he flopped over. Ciel jumped a little bit backwards, not expecting it. "Hey Mister? Are you okay?" he shouted, regaining his confidence and wiggling over to his side. He stared at the yagi's body, before screwing up his little mouth for a moment.
'Ciel...' the unicorn behind him already knew the little puppy's thoughts, and yet, his warning tone did nothing to stop the wolf pup. Zarcielix let out a really loud giggle, springing his legs down and popping up, aiming to land with his paws square on the wolf's body. "Wake up Mister Monster!" he giggled, hardly able to keep still.
ooc | Haha, it's fine. xD Ciel's dumb. Arc is just like 'wtf wolf'. I think Ciel should follow Kiet around for a bit. xD
