“My name is Kovu …” he answered her question simply, one she had asked a thousand times and he had avoided, yet now he offered her his name as if it where nothing. “why did you choose me? What am I here for?” Her voice was innocent and there was almost a touch of fright in there as she kept a step forwards wanting to see more than the bright red eyes surrounded in black fog that he appeared as. “are you really sure you want to see what I look like?” he avoided her question once more yet she had forgotten all about it as she stopped mid step to think about his words. He saved her life, he let her live after something …. Something happened, yet did she really want to see the features of a creature with such power. She sat letting her tail curl around her legs deciding that seeing what he looked like could wait, at least for another day “why don’t I remember?” her head was low this time her ears dropped her expression confused “what don’t you remember” he asked his voice seemingly concerned “I don’t remember …. I just know …. There is something I don’t remember” She frowned trying to think what it was she couldn’t remember, and drawing a blank she looked back up to him “I don’t have those answers for you” it was at least a answer to her question, and yet somehow she knew that he knew. “tell me why I don’t remember” this time there was less confusion and more anger in her speech, but he decided that was enough and the deep red light of his eyes faded a sign he was leaving, one she knew well. “Kovu .....Kovu!! Tell me what I don’t remember” She shouted now anxious for him to answer before she forgot that she had something to remember, but his reply wasn’t satisfactory to her, it never was. “There someone here Myra, someone is here” and then, he was gone.
Her eyes opened sluggishly letting the morning light filter into them slowly, Her mouth opened just as slowly to let a yawn escape her and as her jaws closed she took a look around the place she lay. There was nothing around her to pinpoint where exactly she was because in every direction she looked all she could see was sand, of course she couldn’t look around her, her head still lying on the sand, but she guessed she was in the middle of the Hotali Desert. She stayed where she was despite the fact in a few hours it would become a unbearable heat here, she didn’t seem to be able to feel it much anymore, come to think of it she couldn’t feel much of anything anymore. So she let herself stay there under the morning sun thinking back to her previous encounter, Kovu had been there and now he had a name to go with a face, well eyes. He hadn’t told her much as always, but his name was better than nothing, and just when she had thought he would tell her more he had sent her to consciousness, waking her up to tell her someone was here. With that thought she flickered her ears listening for any sounds, she couldn’t see anything behind her so she guessed if there was something here it much have been coming from behind her, Gracefully she lifted her head from the ground and craned it around to look behind her “hello?” she asked the desert behind her, wondering if it would indeed answer.
OOC: bah bit crappy as a first post >.< the first bit her dreaming/ hallucinating btw XD

There was no rhyme or reason for the direction they chose, long, thin legs plotting a course to nowhere. It was simply nice to be out of that humid jungle. While the desert's heat was neither warm nor inviting, the dry air was certainly more welcomed to the Sennyo.
Kid had been out and about on his own for a while now. It was funny really. He'd joined a pack and yet in a way it felt as if he hadn't. Of the members, he only really knew Master Flynn and Miss Isabella. The rest he'd only seen in passing, if he'd seen them at all. And what he knew of his pack mates was far from interesting. Not one of them so far had really struck him as intriguing. While he liked the shrew Myou, Flynn wasn't really worth killing; he was just a snack, after all. As for the snake Myou, he was still testing the waters with her. Her appearance alone was warrant enough for further investigation, but until he had the chance he would just have to prolong her day of judgment. Thus, the aging Sennyo wandered.
A soft sigh escaped him, eyes closed lazily against the sun as he walked. Considering the view was mostly a barren wasteland, he saw little reason to roam with his eyes. His nose and ears worked just as well, especially with the aide of two thin antennae projecting from his forehead. From what he could tell, everything about the land was pretty much the same no matter which way he turned. It all smelled of sand and dryness, and was that a hint of... death?
Kid stopped, eyes popping open as he tilted his elegant head back. Inhaling deeply, he resisted the urge to sneeze as several grains of sand stuffed up his nose. The smell of something rotting was definitely off to his left, and it did not smell fresh at all. Black lips curled up, fangs glistening with saliva as a happy smirk crossed his muzzle. The scent of death was so alluring to him. He just had to go investigate.
In what appeared to be no more than a hop, skip, and jump (though was really several long yet graceful strides), the Sennyo soon found his mark. Laying in the sands was the carcass of a young female, body being eaten away by the elements. Pity seemed to fill his gaze as he looked upon the form. Really, it was such a disgraceful way to leave a corpse. Such good meat had gone to waste.
Moving closer, the yellow backed male made to gently nudge the corpse, mind pondering the best way to dispose of it. He couldn't just leave her hear. It was at that moment, however, that the female decided to rise from the dead. Her ears twitched momentarily before her head rose, and then she called out a soft greeting. Confused and somewhat startled, Kid backpedaled a few steps. His head tilted curiously to one side, green eyes taking in what he now knew to be a Mortui. It was rare he encountered prey that came back to life. In his hundred some odd years of life he almost wasn't sure if he ever had. Intrigued, he allowed the sound of his voice to turn her attention to him. "'Ello, dahlin." |

The sun hit her eyes before she had a chance to take a look at the other wolf, and she squinted letting out a growl at her reduced visibility. She flipped herself around in what seemed like one fluid movement, and stayed on her feet for a few moments trying to find a position in which she could actually see him. After a few moments of shuffling around on the sand she settled, letting the growl that was still rumbling in her throat die. Now she could see him she looked him over with great interest, she had only seen the common species of wolf around and he didn’t seem to be one of them. Maybe he was a messenger? She thought suddenly, maybe Kovu had thrown her from his domain to meet someone he knew. She nodded to herself slowly before looking over to the yellow male “do you know Kovu? It’s just … well you don’t look like the rest of us wolves around here” To her this was a perfectly reasonable question to her, but to any that could see her face … to see the flesh that had begun to peel away from her just under her eye, she didn’t look like the rest of the wolves around here either.
Her head tilted slightly to one side letting her almost completely red eyes survey him as if to prove her point, and as they did they caught a glimpse of his almost transparent wings “what’s that” she whispered creeping towards him her eyes fixed on his back “I …. I like the way they dance …” a small smile appeared for a moment before slipping away as she sat next to him, well almost on him really her face pointed over his shoulder as she watched his wings flutter. For a few minutes she stayed this way before her head turned to him “you smell like many” she stated simply, his pack scent oozed from him one that she had smelt before “aren’t you far from home?” she paused for a moment letting her mind remember the smell “you smell like the jungle” she shrugged at the observation and turned her eyes away from his looking out over the desert.
She looked out over the sand as if she was watching something that wasn’t there, her head slowly tracked something that couldn’t be seen and as she did she raised her front left paw and slowly poked the other wolf with it. “hmmmmm” she muttered under her breath still watching the and, poking him one more time a little lower than the first “is it hot? Are you hot? Does the sun make this place hot? I don’t feel hot … I don’t feel …..” she didn’t say the words that danced on the tip of her tongue, a little frightened of the answer, and instead powered on to a different subject without giving him a chance to answer “why did you come here?” it was simple question that sometimes required a complex answer, yet she was interested in which force had brought him here, so much so she turned back to meet his gaze, patiently waiting for a interesting answer.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,344,true] | [atrb=background,http://i54.tinypic.com/33xymox.png]He watched her settle herself, brows raised slightly in curiosity. She was certainly an odd one given the way she moved and spoke. Then again, Kid himself wasn't exactly normal. His appearance and graceful movements masked well the killer that lurked within. His pretty green eyes held so much more than the innocent stare he fixed her with.
"I'm afraid I know no Kovu, madam. Though I must say, you're a strange sight yourself." 'A strangely charming sight,' he thought, eying the way the flesh peeled from her face. The Sennyo had always been excited by death. To see it now, standing and walking and talking before him... the idea of the Mortui sent a shiver down his spine. They'd only just met and already she had him more intrigued than any other prey he'd come across before.
When she moved closer, he was only made more curious. Normally it was he who invaded others' personal space. But now she'd come so close that their fur was touching. Kid didn't mind this at all though. Instead he took a moment to press his nose into her neck, inhaling deeply the delightful stench of decay. To please her, he intentionally fluttered the dainty wings upon his back. In turn, his nose grazed the length of her neck until he found her ear. His voice was amused as he whispered sweetly, "Those are my wings, m'dear."
His throat rumbled with laughter as she turned to face him. He'd had to move his head to keep from whacking nosing. When she spoke, however, she'd managed to catch him off guard yet again. This one was just full of surprises. Instead of answering, however, he took a different approach. His expression was innocent as green eyes met red, his own words reaching her just before she turned away. "And you smell like death."
He wasn't sure what she'd make of it, or if she'd even heard him. Whatever she was looking at now had the strange female quite entranced. Kid turned his head to try and see for himself what it was she was looking at. But unlike her's, his vision was filled only with the heated sands. For a few moments he blinked, wondering if the sun was preventing him from seeing something. His attention was diverted when she poked him though, the mysterious nothingness promptly forgotten.
His antennae twitched as she mentioned the weather. Truthfully, he hadn't been paying much attention to it. Sure, it was hot. His body seemed slightly better adapted for heat than the cold. Even with the proximity of the female the desert sun failed to make him extremely uncomfortable. He thought only a moment on her words before coming up with an answer. She was asking too many questions. It was his turn for a change. There was a challenge in his voice as he turned to catch her eyes; his answer to her final question could wait. "I find it nicer than the desert. Though I must say, m'dear, I'd like ask the same of you. |

She maintained her eye contact for a few moments before breaking it to lie her head over his shoulders, she now looked like some serpentine creature that was slowly wrapping herself around him. Her mind mulled him over slowly, he told her that she smelled like death. Did that mean she came from a pack near the dead? Is that what she was forgetting? Frowning a little she let her mind grasp at what she had lost, what was missing from her memories, and just as her paws seemed to scrape upon it, it slipped away. She let it go without fighting to hold on to it knowing if it was important it would return to her and as she did she let her tongue slip from her mouth and run along the back of his neck, a small smile slipping over her features as she did so.
Her head lifted off his shoulders, yet instead of returning her gaze to him she let her eyes linger over the sand dunes again as she listened to his question. She didn’t mind he didn’t answer her, wolves she met now days rarely did they normally didn’t stick around long enough for her to even get close to them. Valuing this rare chance she wiggled herself a little closer to him letting her tail wrap around his feet, “I was sent here” her words sounded normal but her expression was that of a frown as she herself wondered why she was there “the deserts give you answers to many questions … but I can find the answers here … they aren’t here … someone took them, or they where lost?” her speech was mumbled now almost as if she where talking to herself before her head whipped around quickly to face him her voice clearing “would it be so odd if I had been sitting in the desert waiting for you?” Her eyes where still, she didn’t even blink she merely stared as her mind ticked over and over. Kovu had sent her out into the desert looking for answers to her questions, telling her that she would find them there, telling her that soon she would find a place where she would fit in and could start the tasks he wished her to complete. Yet he had told her no specifics, not where to look for answers, and so she now wondered if he was the reason she was here, what some would call fate but she knew to be a higher being she was meant to be here in the desert to intercept him.
As quickly as she started staring at him she stopped, her eyes flickering away before she once again let her light pink tongue fall from her mouth this time slowly running it up his cheek. Her head dropped after that looking down to his feet swaying a little as her ears twitched erratically, she didn’t need to sleep, or even regain any type of energy yet for some reason she felt tired. Wiggling around again she laid her body down on the sand her head resting on his paws her body trailing out behind her, she let her eyes look up to her making her look small, innocent and almost like a much younger wolf than she was, before she let them wander to the coat she could see in front of her letting him make what he wanted of actions.

ooc: i'm soo sorry this took forever x.X [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,344,true] | [atrb=background,http://i54.tinypic.com/33xymox.png]A chill ran down his spine as the female wrapped herself around him, rough tongue running down his neck. It was a very pleasant feeling, he found, something akin to that feeling he got right after a successful kill. Living creatures had never really given him such a feeling before. Then again, this female wasn't exactly living.
Laying his own head against her shoulder, Kid licked his lips hungrily before returning her affectionate gesture. He wanted to taste her, to find out what made this stale meat so alluring. A curious hum was pulled from him as his own tongue brushed against her pelt. The taste was so different (but not unpleasant) from that of the living. Even when her attention shifted he continued to bathe her for his own enjoyment. He only stopped when she started speaking.
Raising a brow, he watched the female with great interest as she spoke strange riddles and rearranged her position. His wings fluttered lightly as she laid atop his tiny paws, his head curving curiously down to get a better look at her. It was odd, this new position they were in. He also thought it to be less pleasant than their previous one, but for now he would make do. After all, there was rarely a more inviting sight than another wolf laying at his paws for him to look down upon.
A thickly sweet smile curved up his mouth as he craned his head down to meet hers. Lightly he bumped his nose against her own before moving in to nuzzle the side of her neck. Again his tongue found her flesh, teeth giving her a playful nip before his muzzle found her ear. The Sennyo teasingly licked the soft edges of it before whispering sweet words in her ear. "Who's to say I wasn't sent here just to find you, dahlin'?"
Maybe to him this was all a game, but it was a game Kid desperately wanted to play. She'd practically told him that she was his! Like any good boy, now he wanted to play with his shiny new possession (and he certainly found her shiny). As his words faded, he went back to gently massaging her with his mouth. Rough pink tongue worked the base of her ear as for once he wasn't the only one enjoying the physical contact. |
