Rosella growled slightly to herself as she raced through the woods. The pups where old enough to be left alone in the camp and Rose needed the run. Her body was that of the wolf and her tail was up as much as it could but it still dragged. However she was fast as all snakes where and with her wolf speed to she was twice as fast. Soon she reached the clear pool and sighed coming to a skidding stop before moving slightly into the clear water. She sighed agian as the cool water washed over her body.
She moved till she could lay and the water would cover her, but her head could rest on the shore and not drown. She grunted slightly as a slightly cold spot hit her belly. The belly itself was going away now that she no longer had the pups to carry but part of her was now softer. At least when it came to the pups and Flynn. She would now cuddle! Cuddle who would have thought Rosella would cuddle? Of course she was still her fearsome killer and could care less about anyone else but flynn had her heart. Even if she hated to admit it. And while she would cuddle she did still consider herself the dominant one. Mostly cause flynn was part prey and she was all predator.

He ached at this point. The morning had been rough. Not only had his daughter tried to gnaw off his leg, his sons seemed keen on practicing hunting when they were barely old enough to walk. They most certainly all had teeth. Pointy little milk teeth that felt like needles. When he had escaped to go hunting, the wild pig her ambushed put up a hell of a fight that he didn't expect. He could feel the bruises forming on his ribs and face. Luckily it had been a large enough meal to make up for the energy loss in killing it.
Instead of his usually mid-morning nap he had opted to go soak in the pool to ease some pains he had acquired in the past few weeks. The wolf in him was beginning to understand and empathize with why the shrew-half wanted nothing to do with the raising of the pups. The near-sighted little wolf could soon smell the water that would be the haven for the next hour until he needed to eat again. His nose did catch the scent of his...mate? He supposed she was considered that at this point. They had cubs together...they spent most their days together. He was more worried about the pups killing him in his sleep than Rosella at this point in time.
He could not really make out her form in the water, so he gruffly barked a greeting, "Rosella?" He just didn't want to walk on her or something. He eased his clawed paws into the water and flopped down in the shallow end, semi-close to her scent.
